La Cubanita Leiden in Binnenstad-Zuid

It was very quiet when we arrived, so we didn't get a real, honest impression of the atmosphere. The food was excellent! The staff was friendly, and when we asked if we could be seated further forward due to the road, it was no problem at all! We will definitely be back.

Normally satisfied with La Cubanitas but this time we had to wait a very long time for food and drinks, the food was also reasonable instead of good this time

First time, and definitely not the last. The food was good, with generous portions. The cocktails were truly amazing! We tried several because of the special offer. The building is a bit narrow for wheelchair users. The only downside was the wait for the food, and the cheddar cheese on the mini burger wasn't melted properly. Everything else was delicious!

The service was good, and the manager was very friendly. The staff also brought everything with a smile and seemed professional. However, I have to say that this is the worst lacubanita I've ever been to. I'm comparing it to those in Delft, Schiedam, and Noordwijk. This was due to the speed of service, whether the food was hot or cold (some hot dishes were served cold or lukewarm), the overall atmosphere of the restaurant, and the decor. Lacubanita Leiden seemed very outdated and could really use a fresh coat of paint. On top of that, our favorite dish (the pulled chicken taco) was unavailable. When we pointed out this was a shame at the end of the evening (we'd just finished our desserts), we were told it was there, but they'd simply forgotten to turn it on :( It was a real shame for us, of course, but we could have asked beforehand. As a "solution," the manager brought one portion of tacos to our table without asking. These were much more filling than usual, so the taste wasn't what we were used to. It was all well-intentioned, but we didn't enjoy it and would have preferred it to be different. We will definitely travel to Schiedam for our next visit.

A wonderful place to enjoy tapas. The only downside was that we had to hurry a bit because we only had limited time. All in all, the food was delicious!

For this price, we could have had a better meal elsewhere. We waited ages for our dishes, and when they arrived, we sometimes received one at a time. The dishes were lukewarm and sometimes cold. They didn't taste great. There was only one waitress serving, and when we told her it was cold, she said she'd let the kitchen know instead of offering us a new hot dish. It didn't seem like unlimited tapas because we had to wait so long and didn't get all the dishes at once. We felt sick; we wouldn't go back.

The only downside was that we had to wait quite a while for our food, and several items were sold out, some of which weren't reported, so we waited a long time before they arrived. The staff was very friendly!

Hello, the place didnt accept us. True that we didnt make reservation before but there was free places inside. At the beginning one waitress say that sorry we are closing soon and time was 20.10 and the boss came and she said there are limited staff today, so they cant accept us today. So since the beginning the attitude was so bad and two different reasons to not accept us. So overall 1 point for me.

Delicious if you love tapas. It's so nice to enjoy small dishes while chatting. This location is easily accessible by bike. By car, you'll have to search for a parking spot.

The restaurant isn't very large, so make sure you book in advance, as it's very cozy. The food is delicious, and the waitresses worked hard to provide everyone with food and drinks. Absolutely nothing to complain about!

Two weeks ago it was perfect. But yesterday it was really bad. Raw steak chunks instead of pieces. No vegetables or anything (it didn't look like the picture). Salmon ceviche was dropped in a tiny bowl and was sour from what seemed like too much vinegar. Crayfish taco was a real disgrace. Too much cream and 3 crayfish. It wasn't good food that way. Onion rings were tough. Shrimp in garlic oil were lukewarm. The music was very loud. We give the service a big 10!

The most delicious thing I ate here was the peppermint afterwards.

Went here and the ambience was very off. We’re Dutch Asians and everyone around us (other customers) kept on staring at us as if we weren’t supposed to be there. Definitely didn’t feel comfy. Won’t recommend to my fellow Asians…

Excellent tapas. Just like any other Cubanita. The restaurant is large and right across from the beach.

Everything seems to be oven-baked. Not worth the price... Spanish meatballs, even with a pressed edge in a container, are yucky.

This was honestly the worst dining experience I've had in a long time. It took ages for the food to arrive. The food wasn't good, and some dishes, like the tacos, tasted stale. There wasn't a welcoming atmosphere, and the ordering system was difficult. Some dishes never arrived. The servers were friendly, but that's the only positive thing I can say about this experience.

I had the worst dining experience of my life here. In 3.5 hours, I received no fewer than four small dishes per person, even though this was supposed to be an all-you-can-eat experience. I was just as hungry when I left as when I came in, and then had to get a Turkish pizza to satisfy my hunger; I've never experienced that before. The dishes themselves were fine, nothing to complain about, but the service could have been better, in my opinion. I certainly won't be returning here. This, while I have had pleasant experiences at other La Cubanita locations.

LaCubanita Leiden, I want to start about the food, the food was good for me, not bad, and it has taste. Unfortunately I got sick the next morning, and suffered from vomiting and diarrhea, although I don't like to say this in a review…. I don't know what it was, whether it was the chicken pieces in honey-mustard dressing, or your meatballs in tomato sauce... Anyway, too bad it turned out this way. Then the next thing, the service. Fortunately it was quiet and we were helped well by the people who worked there, it was (in my opinion) smooth, and were very nice and polite. The atmosphere was very quiet for a Wednesday evening, actually too quiet. You don't have the feeling of eating delicious tapas while listening to Cuban music, but more of a kind of yes... fill it in yourself... 3 stars because I'm sorry that you didn't like the food. (Although I hear more and more from people that food can make you sick.)

The service was absolutely fine. Really neat and nothing to complain about. The food was also okay (although not all equally hot). But... it always took a really long time before the ordered tapas arrived. 20 minutes, sometimes half an hour. Because the portions are not huge (not that bad in themselves) and you can only order 2 per person per round, we were always anxious and very hungry waiting for the next round. It seemed like the kitchen couldn't keep up even though it wasn't packed. The wait for the desserts was also long, and the crème catalana, the churros and the chocolate lava cakes were just not warm, lukewarm at best. The tiramisu was ice cold on the inside, not quite frozen. That was a shame, although they were otherwise quite tasty. At the end of this very long dinner due to the long wait, we had a wooden bottom from sitting for so long.

Pieces of wallpaper are starting to come loose with some strange spots on the wall. Invest in some neat cable ducts and make everything tidy again. At a certain point, hostess Celine came to work her shift. This lady deserves to be named. Every catering business hopes for such a hard worker. I never saw her stand still and went from here to here and also had the time to ask how our food was. Keep up the good work, I am always very happy with staff who are passionate about their profession!

Had dinner here with a group a while back. I don't think the concept comes out very well. The waitress are constantly running around with the new dishes, but do not pay enough attention to an overcrowded table with containers. You get new dishes every 10 minutes, so things go fast. Maybe hire an extra person. I think the price-quality ratio is great. So the food is okay, but not special. I don't eat that much, so all you can eat might not be that useful. Because you do everything via app, there is little contact with the staff. It was fun with my group, but the restaurant was a bit disappointing.

Took a very long time, 1 hour, before the first round came. At one point I was told that the dishwasher was broken, which meant everything was taking a long time. (This should have been indicated immediately) this would have prevented a lot of annoyance. We got the table by the window where the sofa was placed on the heating and was boiling hot, which made it uncomfortable to sit.

The food is very delicious and there are countless options to choose from! Too much for one visit. However, you order through an app and some dishes just.. are forgotten to bring out or are not brought out with dietary preferences as ordered through the app. This was unfortunate. It also took very long for some of the dishes to come out, which normally is fine as we are not trying to rush, but when you literally get locked out of the app and prevented from ordering once your time limit is up, taking 25 minutes for a round of dishes is quite long. The fact that you pay for all inclusive and there is only a limited selection of desserts, no cocktails or even mocktails included and even the premium sangria has to be paid in full separately kind of defeats the all in purpose. Since sangria is included but premium is not, why not just make us pay for the difference and not for the entire drink? We visited on a weekendday so I will not hold the slower service, the mistakes and the really loud atmosphere against them (they were serving a huge table next to us too), and we had an overall nice night but I have to think if I would visit again

Had dinner a while ago and the service was very bad and so was the food. Now we went again yesterday and this time the food was very tasty and the service was very friendly and good. Much better! Quite a difference.

Cozy place, the service is excellent, but if you have one or two noisy groups in your area, you can quickly no longer communicate normally in this building. Let's not talk about the food anymore. Nachos were not finished (no creme fraiche and guacamole), chicken was dry, all dishes were mwoah. Now I know that you can't expect high-quality stuff at La Cubanita, but if you spend 210 euros with 4 people, I already know a number of restaurants in Leiden where I would rather sit next time.

Because we came with 11 people, we had to let us know in advance what we wanted to eat. When 2 of them lost weight, we wanted to eat from the menu, but that was not possible. Also understandable because of course they had purchased this. Carpaccio was tough, meat dry and service was not very friendly. We didn't like everything and a few of us would have liked different dishes. We will not come back with this concept, or we will reserve 2 tables next to each other next time

Ik ben een fan van de keten La Cubanita. Dit was mijn eerste bezoek aan de Leidse vestiging. We waren met een groep van 12 en alles is uitstekend verlopen. Het eten was als altijd goed en de bediening vriendelijk. Geen stress, gezellig. Complimenten.

We kunnen niet een inkijken wat de kosten zijn de dame blijft staan eh pinnen of contant nou vind je het heel erg als we eersy ff kijken wat de kosten zijn. Eeerlijk heel erg achteruit gegaan de bediening en vriendelijk en gastvrijheid hier bahhh

Wij vinden het hier lekker eten! Prijzen zijn omhoog gegaan, maar zijn nog schappelijk. Werkt opzich prima zo met je mobiel bestellen per ronde. Zorgt er soms alleen voor dat je niet echt ontspannen zit te eten, maar dat weet je opzich vantevoren met een all you can eat formule. Daarnaast zijn de tafels erg krap opgesteld, waardoor het wat hokkerig aanvoelt. Al met al is het zeker een bezoekje waard!

Heb la cubanita 2 weken geleden bezocht en vond t qua service bediening en eten zeker geslaagd. Vond t wel wat prijzig maar ondanks de prijs een leuke avond gehad. Had liever gezien dat desserts bijv ook bij all in prijs horen en wat ik jammer vond dat bepaalde gerechten niet meer aanwezig waren en we niet konden bestellen omdat die op waren.

Beetje krap maar heerlijk gegeten. Beter dan la Cubanita in Arnhem.

Was prima eten hier, maar niet extreem goed. Wel kwamen ze snel drinken brengen en opnemen. Ook het eten werd snel aan tafel gebracht. Bestellen met qr code was handig, voor de oudere mens niet altijd goed te doen.

Goede service, aardig personeel. Alle gerechten waren super lekker behalve dat de biefstuk puntjes redelijk koud waren en de roodbaars was aangebakken aan het pannetje waarmee het geserveerd wordt, de pancetta op het avocado taartje is ontbijtspek. Verder waren de 2 cocktails lekker en werd het eten redelijk snel geserveerd.

Kwaliteit van eten is goed. Einige min puntje is dat het bestelde per ronde niet echt synchroon loopt en een enkele keer ook niet compleet is.

Gezellig voor een groep om van vele kleine gerechten te genieten.

Really enjoyed our evening. Portions where good not too big or too small. And the food was great. The staff did really well and are very friendly and helpful.

It's great value if you go Sunday- Thursdays (22.50 excluding drinks) that's great, also nice that they have a discount for kids (12.50 and under 4 free) most of the things I've had were tender, one of the hamburgers was a bit icy in the middle and I wasn't a fan of the red fish, but all the other things were nice.

Altijd lekker gegeten bij La Cubanita, maar laatste keer was echt slecht. Rauw vlees, koud, keiharde ham, gerechten die niet eens kwamen. Producten uit de frituur die niet lang genoeg hadden gezeten. Wij gaan niet meer

Prima gelegenheid om te eten. Tafel voor twee is wel wat krap.

Heel erg klein, je zit bijna op elkaar als het vol is. De eerste ronde kregen we pas na 3 kwartier en het eten vond ik niet erg lekker. De inktvisringen waren 90% deeg en zo verschrikkelijk zout! Ik kom al jaren bij La Cubanita Alphen aan den Rijn en vind het geweldig hier! Wilde ook een keer ergens anders heen maar ik zal hier niet snel weer terugkomen. Personeel is wel heel erg vriendelijk!

Heel lekker eten! Voor een heel schappelijke prijs! Cocktails waren absurt zoet en alcoholloos. Had er 6 op en voelde er helemaal niks van. Ook het personeel leek de hele tijd ruzie te hebben en waren het niet eens over hoe de cocktails gemaakt moesten worden. Ik ging op 13/02 savonds. Ben eerder in het restaurant in Maastricht geweest en dit vond ik toch op veel vlakken beter.

Lekker eten en leuk concept. Genoeg keuze als vegetariër, en we hebben aangegeven dat mijn vriendin geen gluten mag waardoor er van te voren al een lijst op tafel lag met wat zij wel en niet kon bestellen. Alsnog veel keuze. Je moet met je telefoon bestellen, en er wordt vanuit gegaan dat tenminste één iemand aan tafel dat kun, en weet niet of er alternatief is voor bijv. ouderen. Het eten is lekker, het is soms wel even wachten als het druk en de gerechtjes worden niet altijd tegelijk geserveerd maar dat hoort bij het concept en wordt van te voren aangegeven. Vriendelijke bediening.
