Cozy restaurant (like all La Cubanitas) with good food and friendly service. Unfortunately, today I had to wait a long time for the dishes, even though it wasn't busy inside. (The first dish of 3 pieces of meat arrived after 30 mins.) The floor was unfortunately a bit sticky, but I wrote last time that it could be a coincidence; so it wasn't a coincidence 🫣 The entrance isn't recognizable as La Cubanitas; you have to go all the way in at the back near 'Bregje' and then go up the stairs. The restaurant is on the 1st floor! Other people were looking for it too when I arrived.) Parking in front of the door is almost impossible, so you will have to park at the train station across the street. Unfortunately, this parking lot is also very full and very busy every time.

The food is very mediocre and is just from the microwave, the staff are friendly though, and the price is also low.

La Cubanita Woerden is without a doubt one of the finest restaurants I visit. The restaurant has a spacious layout, allowing you to dine in a truly relaxed manner without feeling cramped. Parking was easy and free in a large parking lot across the street. The service is well organized: plates are cleared quickly, and the tapas arrive at a good pace — never too long to wait, but not all at once either. The combination of atmosphere, space, and prompt service makes this branch highly recommended. I would love to return here.

We dined at La Cubanita Woerden tonight, and this was without a doubt one of the worst restaurant experiences we have ever had. The food was downright bad. Virtually everything tasted as if it had been cooked on a burnt griddle, causing the burnt taste to dominate. Additionally, the food was bland and barely seasoned. Several dishes completely lacked flavor. Moreover, the sauces were practically non-existent. The patatas bravas were downright laughable: three tiny dots of sauce on a portion of potatoes. That is simply substandard. The waiting times were even worse. We waited about 30 minutes for some dishes, but several times that stretched to nearly 50 minutes. The most bizarre thing was that dishes we had ordered later appeared on the table sooner than dishes we had ordered much earlier. There was absolutely no logic or organization in the service. It was a disaster for the drinks as well. We waited over 30 minutes for a simple tea and a Fanta. In the end, we never received them at all. To top it all off, we waited over 40 minutes for our dessert. That never arrived either. Eventually, we just got up and left, without ever having received the dessert or the drinks. When settling the bill, we were asked if everything had been to our liking. When I indicated that the waiting times were unacceptable, the response was that there was a shortage of staff due to the holidays. That is no excuse. If you know you cannot handle the crowds, accept fewer reservations or be honest and cancel them. Making customers pay for an evening full of frustration is not the solution. It was so chaotic that guests even started clearing their own tables because used plates, glasses, and bowls were left standing endlessly. A restaurant can have an off night once in a while, but this went much further than that. Poor food quality, extremely long wait times, orders that didn't arrive, drinks that were never served, disorganized service, and a kitchen that clearly couldn't handle the pressure. For us, this was the first and absolutely the last time. There are plenty of restaurants where hospitality, quality, and service are taken seriously. As far as we are concerned, La Cubanita Woerden is not one of them.

Don't go here if you don't have patience. It took 57 minutes for the first round to be fully served. (Apparently, the dish had to be fetched from the neighbors; they didn't have any left in stock themselves.) Following this incident, I immediately posted a review. As a result, a manager came to our table quite quickly and, after a brief conversation, offered a round of coffee on the house. You think, okay, things will surely get better now, but nothing could be further from the truth. Dishes were forgotten, were burnt black, sometimes tough, and very dry. Sometimes even served on one plate for two people (very convenient if you are both sitting on different sides of the table). This was practically thrown onto the table. Subsequently, a waiter came to our table asking if we would please edit the review. Here it is; it has been edited, but it hasn't improved. Finally, during checkout, they even casually asked if everything had been to our liking. What do you expect? See you never again at this branch.

We came in and had to go upstairs via stairs, and even then I found it very dirty. I think these stairs hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. We sometimes have to wait a very long time for food. The food wasn't really tasty. Not flavorful. My daughter really had stomach problems and didn't sleep all night; I wasn't feeling well either, and neither was my husband. Very bad. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

We were there right when the place opened, but after ordering drinks, we left immediately without eating. Unfortunately, the hygiene left a lot to be desired. Mice and leakage: We saw 2 mice running through the place. Additionally, the air conditioning was leaking quite heavily. Unfortunately, the solution was nothing more than putting a bucket underneath it. Plates: The air conditioning dripped (or well, almost flowed) onto the plates on the table. Instead of getting new, clean plates, they were wiped clean with a cloth and simply placed back down. Staff hygiene: The staff did not make a fresh impression. One of the employees was already completely soaked with sweat at opening time. Unfortunately, for us, this was too unhygienic to continue eating here. We will not be coming back.

We had a super fun evening at La Cubanita Woerden! The atmosphere was warm and cozy, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, and the dishes arrived quickly. The tapas, in particular, were delicious and surprisingly flavorful, with plenty of choice for everyone. The cocktails were also top-notch and made the evening complete. A perfect place to enjoy a long meal with friends or family. Highly recommended; we will definitely be back!

What is good: * Reasonable amount of space between the tables * Most of the food is of fine quality But then: * The first round (cold dishes) arrived after fifteen minutes. Not very fast, but acceptable. * 2 of the 4 from round 2 arrived another fifteen minutes later. * Had to wait 40 minutes for the rest of round two, which came immediately after rounds 3 and 4 had already been ordered. Half of it was as cold as can be. * Round 5 arrived at a reasonable pace, still hope? * No way, after waiting 50 minutes for dessert we just gave up and paid, during which we were even actively asked if we wanted to leave a tip… * Perhaps the most annoying thing of all: staff behind the bar/cash register who simply flatly deny it, while their own website for ordering clearly shows the times when orders were placed.

It always remains a top spot for me, and I will definitely keep coming back at least once a month.

Delicious tapas with friendly service.

Woerden is a nice place. In the afternoon, we enjoyed ourselves on a terrace in Woerden city center. Then in the evening, we went to Cubanita. We made a nice day of it.

What incredibly friendly service and how hard they work (flying from one side to the other). We received everything we ordered, and quite quickly despite the crowds, and it was also very tasty. It was a lovely evening out for dinner! Worth repeating.

The food used to be better. Also, some of my favorites are no longer on the menu.

Unfortunately, we had a somewhat disappointing experience. Upon arrival, we were kindly assisted and specifically asked for a quiet table, which we received. Once at our table, the service took a very long time. The restaurant was quite full, so you can understand why it can take a while. However, sometimes it really took too long. A few things went wrong. I ordered a dish with mozzarella as the main ingredient. When I received it, it turned out there wasn't any mozzarella on it. I sent the dish back to the kitchen and was told I would receive a new one. Unfortunately, no new one, because they were out of mozzarella. Instead, I was supposed to receive a carpaccio. After waiting an hour and asking again, I finally received the carpaccio. As the evening progressed, more and more dishes were removed from the menu because they were out of stock. Such a shame. We are very sorry that we had this experience. It's a nice place, and the people who work there are nice, friendly, and really do their best.

Nice atmosphere and we got the food very quickly, only one time the steak was tough

The food was good. But we had to wait 45 minutes for one dish. I decided to order the 10 to hopefully still get some food. It took over 3 hours for 7 dishes. Dessert arrived immediately. Then the rest of the dishes arrived almost all at once. And to make matters worse... MICE! They went into the kitchen. Other guests saw this too. I immediately reported it to the staff. They simply said, "We'll pass it on." Wow. I immediately asked for the bill. I'm not going back. This place should really close down now with all the MICE.

Often eat at La Cubanita in Bussum and always satisfied, here we had to wait half an hour for a round of tapas, wrong tapas were delivered to the table or the others forgot, also the mice were running around the place and there was little reaction to it

It's a pretty good restaurant. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is nice, but the food could have been a bit more flavorful. We were there on a Thursday evening, and it was certainly nice and quiet. Finally, I have to say that the pike-perch fillet with tapenade and roasted tomatoes was a big disappointment (see photo below).

Having read some bad reviews, we were a bit skeptical. Fortunately, none of the criticism we'd read happened to us. There were 13 of us, and ordering went smoothly because we were divided into three tables, which kept things organized. The drinks and dishes arrived promptly, and the service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and varied, with something for everyone. The vegetarians in our group were also well catered for. It was busy, so that was a bit unsettling, but we, as a large group, probably contributed to that. All in all, we had a pleasant evening and a positive experience at La Cubanita in Woerden!

Delicious food, plenty of space, unlike other branches where seating can be cramped. It does take a really long time for your food to arrive; we could easily have gotten another round, but then they told us the kitchen was closed. Even though we were there really early. They probably don't want to overcharge you ;-)

We had a bad experience at La Cubanita in Woerden. The service was poor, took a long time, and the food wasn't cleared, so we had to put our own plates on another empty table. We went for dinner with a large group to create a nice retirement memory, but it absolutely didn't work out.

Christmas Day was a disaster, with too few staff. After 2.5 hours, we'd only received an average of 2 or 3 dishes, and only been able to order one drink. At 7:30, the next group was waiting and complaining. We had a discount, but we still had to go to McDonald's, we were hungry. It was a real shame, this was the first, but also the last time. The staff were friendly but completely overwhelmed. None of the tables were happy. We were there with three children, it was a real disaster.

Very long wait for the food, many dishes cold, especially meat dishes, orders that did not come. The staff were addressed twice, staff walked around and did not know what they were doing, tables where people had finished eating were left full of plates and glasses cutlery for at least an hour, so not cleared, coffee on the last order also did not arrive so for us a second time a ben will go to the service for the table, the service did not come to us to say that the table was available

First of all, hats off to the service and kitchen team tonight. I truly understand that it was incredibly busy. Unfortunately, all our food was ice cold, it took an incredibly long time, and we were sitting outside in the drafty -2 degrees Celsius. Organizationally, this was a huge flop. We weren't sufficiently staffed, and the food was consistently served late and cold. I can't blame anyone for this except the organizers of the evening. Everything was nicely packed, and wallets were definitely being opened. Unfortunately, the noise around us was also largely negative. Many young people working the service were clearly working under excessive pressure. One young woman holding the plates of food was shaking in her hands; you could practically see beads of sweat running down the faces of many young people. This is truly unacceptable. LaCubanita is cramming the place full and driving its "slaves" to Christmas. I truly feel for all the staff who worked that evening; coming from the hospitality industry myself, I recognize this very well. Unfortunately, someone at our table only managed to eat two dishes and a dessert for €44, which was truly scandalous. LaCubanita should be ashamed; the food, its quality, and the level of comfort were far below what one might expect at this price. Never again! For now, we've paid full price, which is painful. I wish the staff everything, but the management and owners nothing. I hope the staff receives a generous reward for this evening, and that the management and owners are deeply ashamed. What an absolute disgrace. Never again LaCubanita, and give the staff a big fat bonus!

Great food. It might have been due to the Christmas rush, but we waited over 45 minutes for a round of drinks. It was to the point that we didn't even get our food until after the wait. The last round of drinks wasn't delivered either, unfortunately, and our last dessert cake was frozen solid. The service was largely personality-less, but polite. After reporting the long wait, we received two rounds of drinks four times in a row. How are we supposed to finish that??? Again, it might be due to Christmas Day, but I'm very disappointed.

We ate here for my birthday on Tuesday evening. It was nice and quiet! The staff and the woman behind the bar (Kim) were incredibly friendly! Kim explained everything to us, even though we were familiar with the concept. We've been to a lot of places, but this one is definitely one of our favorites😊 The food was delicious again!

New review: After our first disappointing visit, LaCubanita made up for it well, and last Sunday we were able to enjoy the dishes we're used to. Excellent service and speed were excellent. We also received some explanation about what had gone wrong previously. After this explanation, there was more understanding for the slow service last time. Tip: inform guests if such a problem occurs and what the impact is on them so they have a choice to wait or leave. All in all, thanks for the feedback and the delicious food. Old review: Never had such a bad experience. First round...only 1 carpaccio after 1 hour, the other 3 after more than 75 minutes. Second round same. Third round after more than 1 hour still not there, and they left the ice cream after waiting 45 minutes. Many guests had the same experience. The staff is running around like crazy, but the kitchen can't cope. Don't eat here unless you have tons of time and can wait an hour for ONE DISH. Instead of paying for two people, I only paid for one because of the terrible service.

Unfortunately, a disappointing evening. Had dinner with friends. Our experience was quite disappointing. We were seated at a table with a strong draft, which made it really cold. Several guests at other tables were bothered by this, and we ended up having to put on our coats to stay somewhat comfortable. They told us there was a problem with the draft grille (apparently, this had been the case for a while), but the response was: "There's nothing we can do about it." The solution: we had to move the table to the middle, which didn't help. Furthermore, it turned out our table was double-booked. We were told we had to leave early because it had been re-booked, even though the standard is 2.5 hours. This felt unprofessional and caused unnecessary stress during dinner. The response to this was, unfortunately, very indifferent: "Well, until a quarter to 8 or 8 o'clock... it's only fifteen minutes." The service was also very slow, especially at the beginning. The first course arrived after 40 minutes. In short: the combination of cold, organizational errors, and long wait times made this a disappointing visit. Unfortunately, la cubanita Woerden will never be the place for us again.

Three dishes were already off the menu on Friday night, even though we'd made an early reservation and were among the first guests of the evening. The food that was available tasted great. We had to wait a long time each time for all the dishes to arrive, sometimes up to 30 minutes. We also had to ask for the last few dishes several times, only to be told they'd check. Then we saw them being served at the neighbor's table, and after asking again, it turned out they were all gone, and only four were available.

Tonight we went out to dinner with our neighbors at La Cubanita in Woerden. It was, in a word, terrible. Every dish we ordered was either wrong or didn't arrive at all, or they were served to a different table. (Drinks were also served very late after our order.) We spoke to the staff several times and received multiple apologies, but even after that, things kept going wrong. The food that did arrive tasted good, but I found this a real disappointment. Very poorly organized. It's a shame, but we won't be going there again.

You order in rounds, and then the dishes arrive in trickles. Half of the guests don't get their dish until the other half has long since finished and wants to start the next round. Not all the dishes ordered were served. Or they were served far too late; the Spanish burgers didn't arrive until after dessert. The food was excellent during the first rounds, but later on, it became less so – it seemed like it was thrown together in a hurry, and you could not only see it, but taste it too. All in all, we had a pleasant evening.

After an hour and a half, we still hadn't received all the dishes. After an hour, we asked the waitress if it had come through correctly. She said, "I can check, but I don't think anything went wrong and it's just taking a long time." Most of the dishes were disappointing, and all that waiting is just a way to sell a lot of drinks. Definitely not recommended!

It is a super cozy restaurant with very tasty tapas where you can enjoy new flavors and the staff is great.

Unfortunately, not a good review. Everything could be so much better. The toilets weren't clean. And this was an hour after opening. So, they didn't clean them properly. The restaurant could also use a more thorough cleaning beforehand. We had to wipe food scraps off all three chairs. An hour after opening??? I don't like the fact that someone had already eaten here. A waitress was wearing a dirty apron and a dirty T-shirt. All kinds of nasty stains. And this an hour after opening? The drink was almost completely dead. Apparently, the bottle hadn't been sealed properly. They solved this by pouring a fresh drink. If you don't have too many expectations, this way of dining out is quite enjoyable. The Flamkuchen was burnt on the bottom. Some dishes were very salty. The bread with herb butter and aioli was delicious.

What a lovely experience! At this restaurant, you could choose tapas dishes via an iPad—two per person per round. There's about a half hour between rounds, which we really appreciated: you have time to relax and enjoy, and before you know it, the next dish is already on the table. Everything we tried was delicious and beautifully presented. The location is also incredibly cozy, which made the whole evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone who loves tapas in an original setting!

Although the food is delicious, I won't be coming here again. We had made a reservation for 9 people, and upon arrival, we saw a table for 8. Okay, after indicating, we pulled up a chair and sat down. Then came the service: the food arrived before the first round of drinks, and one of our guests had to wait considerably longer for his mozzarella sticks, meaning they didn't arrive until the second round. Subsequent rounds (of drinks) didn't go much smoother, after which we had to wait a considerable time (30+ minutes) for our soft drinks. Clearing the table was also difficult, so we ended up having to use one of the tables for two to put our old plates on because they simply weren't picked up. A real shame, and for self-service, I'd rather go to "de la place."

Please note: you have limited time to eat, because the evening is divided into two shifts! No sound, besides all the people talking there is music on repeat. A cold wind is blowing. Food is decent, doesn't have much taste. Not worth repeating for us.

Far too many tables for the capacity of the kitchen. People are nice. But you can eat unlimited for 2 hours or something like that, when you haven't received anything after 50 minutes, that's quite strange.

The service is helpful and friendly....and that's all there is to it: food very mediocre to bad, long wait for the order (often dishes that were not ordered) and many dishes on the menu are gone....which surprises me given the "quality" of the food. Once but never again.

After a mediocre previous visit, we still made another reservation for Ascension Day, given the good reviews, hoping that this time it would be better than expected. Unfortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. This time we made a reservation at 18:30 instead of 19:30 (hoping that it was due to the time of reservation last time). First we waited half an hour for bread, then of the 3 rounds that we ordered in advance because the bread (we eventually got dry bread without aioli) took so long, we only got 3 tapas where there should have been 12. Of the snacks that we did get, the cheese croquettes were empty and there was no creme fraiche with the nachos. On our previous visit, the creme catalana was gone, so we ordered it as soon as possible but never got it and then it could no longer be ordered because it was gone (again). Finally, after waiting 2 hours and 3 tapas later, we spoke to the manager and indicated that we would not pay for a complete menu (he understood this, also because we were not the only ones with complaints). In the end I paid the standard menu twice and my friend drove to McDonalds with 1 tapas (I had 2) with screeching tires. Told the manager never to come here again. The service staff is running their legs off but they get the many mistakes they made on their plate.

Very bad!! Had to wait more than 55 minutes for the sandwich and drink. Then for the 1st and 2nd round the same, there were many complaints. Food was fine except for a few things but having to wait so long, and sometimes just not getting dishes, is really not acceptable. Dirty plates are just put on the tray where food still has to be served. No, never again for us. Had to pay the full price and didn't get much.

Compliments to the team that was very attentive and pleasant. Food was good and an allergy was taken into account.

La Cubanita Woerden is our favorite La Cubanita. We missed a number of things in dishes such as the honey in a number of tapas dishes and, for example, the smoked chicken in the pasta salad. The desserts that are now included have been reduced by half!

I regularly eat in a restaurant, but have never eaten as bad as here. Very unfortunate for the service because they do their best and are very alert and friendly.

Looks good food. We had ordered the film package for October, but did not receive a voucher for this at the end of the meal, even though we had mentioned it. Now we don't get a voucher, but we do get 5 euros back, which is a bit of a shame.

When we arrived we had to wait another 15 minutes before we could be seated (while there were many tables available). The site states that you have 2.5 hours to eat. Unfortunately, someone came at a quarter past 9 to tell us that we could only order 1 more round, because the kitchen closed at half past 10. Unfortunately, we had not yet eaten any dishes that we would have liked. We would not return to this restaurant for dinner.

Fine if I have to pay a little for tap water since the staff has some work to do, the glass needs to be washed and there may still be cubes of ice in it, but when I ask for tap water for medicine (as was indicated when I asked for it) ), isn't no an answer? Then I got 1/3rd of a small glass filled, after asking someone else again I finally got a glass for my pills. Please teach young employees what hospitality is and that rolling eyes is not part of this.

The concept has been known to us for years and remains fun. Dishes improved and good. Most of the staff are very friendly and service-oriented, but there is one who does not turn to the table, only walks by and extends her hand to put down and pick up, not customer-oriented, this could be better. When cleaning, don't forget the window frames next to the floor, we looked out on a dusty scene.

Okay restaurant if you are going to eat with a group. Order via QR code per table. In terms of food, mainly fried choices, but also some healthier choices in the 'cold dishes'. The orders arrive very fragmented, some dishes never even arrived at our table. When we ordered drinks, we saw them on the bar 10 minutes away (further away), but nothing was done with them. When we contacted them, this was done. There is an allergen card on the app. Although I wonder if this is correct. A dish with pesto did not contain any nuts (99% of pestos contain cashew nuts) and the dessert 'churros' and dame blanche indicated both peanuts and nuts. While there was nothing in that direction on the dish itself. In short, a reasonable restaurant for a reasonable price. Don't expect culinary delights or good service.

Have eaten at many Cubanitas, in Woerden the quality was also excellent and drinks were delivered quickly. Unfortunately, the food always took a very long time and our group did not receive a number of ordered dishes. Then order again and wait....and then hope that it will arrive. Not quite what I'm used to.

What disorganized chaos in this restaurant. We had to wait an hour for our 1st round. Then it came in box by box. Very practical if you are with 6 people. Dishes were regularly missing and our desserts did not arrive at the same time, meaning that half of the table had already finished when the rest had yet to start. The empty containers kept piling up and the waiters kept walking back to the kitchen empty-handed. Incomprehensible…. Isn't it more than normal to clean up in between? Very unpleasant to sit with a table full of dirty dishes. And then the price for a 0.5 liter bottle of spring water: €4.65. Really bizarre! Bit of a disappointing experience.
