After a day out with my girlfriend, we made our final stop at Bregje Woerden. We have been here before. We had the three-course menu. For starters, goat cheese salad for me and the fish trio for my girlfriend. For the main course: pork tenderloin with bacon for me and chicken schnitzel for my girlfriend. And for dessert, we both had the Grand dessert. It tasted great. The service, Anniek, was very friendly. Even though we were the last ones in the restaurant at one point, we didn't feel like we were being rushed out. We will definitely come back again.

Bregje Woerden is truly one of the better locations within the concept. The restaurant is spaciously laid out, allowing you to dine in a relaxed atmosphere without crowds around you. The service runs smoothly: plates are cleared quickly and courses arrive at a pleasant, consistent pace. You never have to wait long, but it doesn't feel rushed either — just right for a relaxed evening out. You can park for free in a large parking lot across the road. The combination of space, tranquility, and efficient service makes Bregje Woerden a place you will want to return to.

Last Monday, we had a lovely meal with 2 adults and two children aged 3 and 4. Super attentive service, quick and with just that little bit of extra attention. Good value for money and pleasant communication regarding the delivery of the dishes.

Unfortunately, we did not have a pleasant evening. It started with a 15-minute wait for our drinks order, and another 5 minutes on the menu. Then, everything went wrong. A dirty glass that had to be returned, applesauce that was past its expiration date and had to be replaced, and which subsequently contained chives, water that was ordered but didn't arrive, and then after inquiring, we received a large bottle instead of a small one. And one children's ice cream without whipped cream and one with, even though we hadn't said anything about whether or not it had whipped cream. The rest of the food was okay, nothing special. Not worth repeating for us.

My girlfriend had booked a table for two for July 4th. After arriving from Breukelen, nothing was known. We were told we could sit outside. Then no one came, so we just left. On the off chance, we called a restaurant to see if there was room for two. Of course. There is always room for two. In another review, I read about a couple who had made a reservation and were subsequently not served. A large group that had not reserved came in, and they pulled out all the stops to make room for them. We had visited you several times before without any problems. But this does make me think. Thank you.

Parking is an issue. Even in the large parking lot across the street, it can sometimes be tricky. The exterior of the building isn't exactly a picture-perfect sight, but the interior is quite atmospheric. The manager is very friendly but is assisted by a lot of young staff. This alone is entertainment. We had to wait a long time between our courses. Price-wise, this concept is of course perfect. In the end, I had a pretty good meal and plenty of it, which you wouldn't normally expect beforehand. All in all... Fine to do every now and then.

The price-quality ratio remains excellent. The food is affordable and tasty. I do find the ambiance a bit lacking in atmosphere, though. The service does its best, although the back table on the right is a bit of a forgotten spot. Much more drinks could be served there; there are frequently empty glasses.

We dined here on a Saturday evening with six people. The ambiance is fine, as is the hostess. What I find unfortunate is that the serving staff is apparently not properly trained. Things occasionally fell off the tray. There was also a significant trail of a melted ice cream dessert on my coat; a shame. What I do find positive is that compensation was offered.

We had a delicious meal! The staff were friendly, attentive, and observant. It was wonderfully cool inside, while it was around 30 degrees outside. The food didn't come too quickly one after the other, so you could let everything settle for a moment. The tasting platter as a starter is a real treat! The dessert was even on the large side for me. Good reception. We were a group of 19 people. We had already provided the menu in advance, as we had to leave on time due to an activity later in the evening. It was served well and quickly for the main course and dessert. This left us time for a cup of coffee. The food was good and tasty.

We walked in and weren't even greeted or shown to our table, while the owner stood chatting with a colleague. Finally, we were shown to our table. No menu was given, and they walked past our table countless times but didn't take anything. Then a large group came in, and magically enough, they did have time for them. We asked the waiter if he could help us after this, but that wasn't done (he went to help 3 tables except us). Terrible service right from the start and not worth going to. So we walked away and got great service at the neighbors (Heinde).

It's a real treat at Bregje's! The tasting platter for two as a starter is highly recommended! The meat platter lets you sample a bit of everything. Based on that, I would order the spareribs next time; they are so tender!

The food was actually okay, but we had to wait a super long time for everything—first to get the menu, then our drinks—and it basically stayed like that the whole evening. There were a lot of young people serving, who were mostly focused on each other.

We ate with a large group (12), the food was fine and delivered on time. It went well for this concept.

Tonight we had a disappointing evening at Bregje Woerden, where we've eaten before. The rosé wasn't good, had an odd color, and was too warm. We exchanged it for a Chardonnay. The pulled chicken tacos were too dark, the chicken too cold. The fries with the main course were overcooked, and the mayo had an odd flavor. The grand finale was the returned rosé, which was still on the invoice. "We can't serve that anymore," was the employee's response. With the chef present, we didn't have to pay for the rosé. The customer is not king here. Last time.

There were three of us. The food was good, but cold. The staff doesn't come to you to order drinks, and when you ask, no one comes either. We even asked for tea for dessert. The dessert was already gone, but the tea wasn't there yet. We only had one drink, which was at the beginning. It wasn't busy. The service was inexperienced. As compensation, we got our one drink free.

What excellent service we received! We were in a bit of a hurry to get to the musical, and the entire team accommodated us. We've been to Bregje's before, but this one in Woerden stands out! The food is better, and the staff is incredibly friendly. We'll definitely be back ❤️

I went to Bregje's for dinner with family on Boxing Day 2025. Having eaten here once a year and a half ago, we thought it would be a lot of fun. But unfortunately, it wasn't what we expected. Starter: We ordered everything, and after waiting a while, the first food finally arrived. I had the pulled chicken tacos, which were delicious. It turned out that three people's orders had been lost. Finally, after waiting an extra 10 minutes, they received their soup and carpaccio. I heard the soup was lukewarm and the carpaccio frozen. (This turned out to be a preview for later in the evening.) (In summary: Pulled chicken tacos were delicious, the rest was mediocre to bad.) Main course: We ordered our main courses, and after waiting a good 45 minutes, the first plates arrived. With the chicken satay, the plate, the skewer, and the chicken were completely cold for all three people who ordered it. With the spare ribs, it was mostly bone. The street food platter and the quesadillas were also cold. And the burger was much colder than room temperature. We sent the food back, but then we didn't even get all the fries (the fries were cold too). And they wouldn't even bring drinks around the table, so we had to share them ourselves. After we told a waitress about our experience, she said this: "Yeah, I know, I can't do anything about it." "I'm not in the kitchen. And this is just a part-time job for me." Everyone got their new portion back except the person who ordered the burger. Turns out, the order was also lost 🤡 We were told we had to wait another 2 minutes for the burger, but that turned out to be almost 20 minutes. All the food was still not warm/hot, but just slightly warmed up in a microwave. The only thing I can say is that the food was all very bad. Many people at the table said they could make this better at home than what we had eaten that day. Dessert: After everything gets cold, you think the ice cream part couldn't go wrong. Unfortunately, it was just as you might think. I had the chocolate dream, where the brownie was tough and tasteless. And the ice cream was so cold it hurt your mouth. About 3/4 of the table had the apple pie that It was supposed to be "hot." And it seemed like it would be, but then the inside was freezing cold. It felt like the chef didn't know what hot food was. Conclusion: Disappointing evening, long waits (seated from 8:00 PM to 10:50 PM), a lot of cold and bad food, staff with no passion for their work (a smile is free). The best part that evening was when Santa Claus showed up and made people happy. Tips: Start from scratch; new chef, new menu, renovate the location. After this experience, we'll never come back.

I can unfortunately confirm the bad reviews. The starters were missing, and when they finally arrived 10 minutes later, they were lukewarm tomato soup and frozen carpaccio. Main courses didn't all arrive at the same time either. I ordered chicken satay, and the plate was already stone cold (three times). Then I felt the rubber chicken (or was it cat food?) and it was refrigerator-cold. The hamburgers (twice) were so cold that the slice of cheese on top went straight back in the fridge. I sent everything back, and the next round was warm, but nothing more than that. No steaming dishes, no warnings about hot plates. To top it all off, the warm apple pie was served, the outside warm, but the apple was all cubes of ice. And then there was a chef and staff who let all that come out. Gordon Ramsey would turn in his proverbial grave. The wait staff weren't all equally motivated either. They threw the drinks on a corner of the table and asked me to pass them on myself (fine, but then no tip). We sat for almost three hours for three courses. We've complained to the staff several times, and everyone finds it very annoying and will let you know, but they'll ask you to pay the full price. No coffee on the house or a free drink to make up for it. Never again for us.

Terrible. We went on Boxing Day, ordered sandwiches, and never received them. After over an hour, we finally received the starter. After another hour, the main course arrived, which was lukewarm and cold for all four of us. We filed a complaint, and they said no new main courses were needed, just extra fries and dessert. We apologized and said we wouldn't be charged for drinks. We never saw the extra fries. After another half hour, we asked about the desserts, and within a few minutes, we had them. Then we got up for the bill. Unbelievable, but I received the bill for all the dishes, drinks, and also for two sandwiches. The lady didn't know anything about it. With God's grace, the sandwiches and one menu were deducted. So, from €138 to €102. But we paid for a completely failed Christmas Eve and then almost had to pay the full price. Disgraceful, they won't see us again.

We dined with a group of 12. What a disgrace. Cold food, served late, and a lot of fumbling. The staff can't help that the kitchen is making a mess of things and can't handle this workload. First and last time at Bregje Woerden, and I think the same goes for other Bregje restaurants.

What a terrible restaurant Bregje Woerden is. We thought we'd have a nice family dinner at Bregje's, but unfortunately, our Christmas Eve turned out differently. We only got our appetizer after an hour and a half. Our main course didn't arrive until an hour and a half later. Most of the food was cold, and the chicken skewers were stuck together (probably from the heat lamp). The burger I ordered was cold and soggy. The service is a bit slower than usual (which I understand on Christmas Eve), but waiting an hour and a half for an appetizer... The service is excellent.

Not recommended: Steaks tasted like shoe soles, several cold dishes that should have been served hot, hair in the food, raw meat, burnt burger. The only thing that tasted any good was the salmon. The service is friendly and works hard to keep it fresh.

My boyfriend and I were planning to have a nice dinner here, but we left feeling dissatisfied. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. We had a choice of three tables. However, these were behind a wall, making us barely visible to the staff. We chose a table, but after fifteen minutes, no drinks or menus had been offered. Overlooked? It happens! I politely approached a staff member and told them we'd been waiting a while. She then came to help us, took our drink orders, and ordered the three-course menu. Unfortunately, it took a very long time for our appetizer to arrive. They had ordered at 7:15 PM, and it didn't arrive until 7:50 PM. It was delicious, though, so we held out hope. For the main course, my boyfriend and I both had the Bregje Burger. It took a good 45 minutes from the appetizer to the food... which is quite a long time. The food arrived. It wasn't a huge portion, but oh well, we still had hope. Until I touched the buns and they were very cold, just like the rest of the burger. The cheese on the burgers hadn't melted, and the burger was very soggy. As my boyfriend said, "What a waste of a cow." I normally don't like to comment on things like that, but this felt unacceptable. So we decided to skip dessert and eat it somewhere else.

For our appetizer, we had a pulled chicken taco. When my daughter took the last bite of her last taco, she pulled out a very long hair. This can happen, of course. But... I mentioned it to the waitress, and she asked if we wanted a new one. My daughter didn't want a new one... the last bite, with the "hair" and all... was enough to start over. When we paid, the same waitress asked if everything had been to her liking. Huh... she'd forgotten the "hair." So I replied, yes, except for the "hair." Oh yeah, she said. "If I'd known sooner, I could have done more." Excuse me... it was the last bite of the last taco, so now it seemed like it was our fault... I suggested that offering a drink would have been an option. They didn't even offer a discount. Sorry, but I thought the handling of our complaint was poor. No more Bregje Woerden for me.

Good food for a low price which is almost no longer available anywhere.

Our guests' reservations, which included what they wanted to eat during our visit, went absolutely wrong. We had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks, and we even had to send the croquette back three times because it was frozen solid. Seriously, our guests also found their food lukewarm and cold, and some things weren't right. We were also asked if they should microwave the food, and there was a piece of plastic in it. The service at the bar wasn't great either; you could see drinks being thrown away because they'd been sitting there too long. And then they said they'd resolved the issue with the contact person.

The food is really bad, the pricing is unclear, and it's way too warm. The cocktails are bland. The cheese platter consisted of three pieces of cheese. Of course, you can't expect much for this price, but the food and service could definitely be much better.

We regularly visit Bregje Woerden. This time, they're offering a special discount on an already very affordable menu! We had another great meal, the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. The service was quick and the dishes were delicious. The price per person, including drinks, was €25 for three courses. Perfect if you suddenly feel like dining out. We're already planning our next visit 😄

Ate here yesterday, well, ate here...what a terrible experience. We had to wait a very long time for our food even though we had reservations for 23 people. Everyone had been told in advance what they wanted to eat. When the various courses were served, there was a huge delay before everyone had something. And the dishes were lukewarm to cold, or even still frozen... Unbelievable how they treat their guests. We will never come back!!!!!!!!

Food takes a long time (very long) and is cold when served

We regularly eat at various Bregje locations and are always very satisfied. Unfortunately, our visit to Bregje Woerden was a major disappointment. The food was cold, the portions very small, and the wait time was long (see photos). No one at the table was full when we left. We mentioned this to the staff several times, but nothing was done about it. Afterward, I sent a polite message to the restaurant to discuss the situation, but unfortunately, I received no compensation or serious response. It's a shame, because we always enjoyed going to Bregje. After this experience, we will definitely skip Bregje.

We had a reservation for 6:15 PM for my mother's birthday. After an hour and 10 minutes, we still hadn't received our appetizer. When we finally received our appetizer (the pulled chicken tacos), they were completely cold. We sent them back and were told they would send us new ones. After waiting another half hour, we received these new tacos. To our dismay, they were cold again. We sent them back again. After waiting so long, we were done with it and got up and left. They then made us pay for our drinks, which I thought was ridiculous, but my parents paid for them anyway. I can safely say I'll never be back, and maybe they should hire some new, improved kitchen staff.

The food was cold, the service was clumsy, and drink orders and food arrived so late. After dodging the bar staff, my husband went to the kitchen himself to ask where our dessert was. It was a cold apple pie and cold cherries. As compensation, we were given two drinks on the house. Once we finished dessert, we still didn't have any drinks. Tables weren't cleared, and while we were still eating, we were asked if we'd finished. Three and a half hours of frustration. Then we were done and left. You guessed it: no compensation for the two drinks. What a disgrace Bregje is! Seriously, avoid Bregje!!! We're giving the 3 stars for atmosphere because we had a great time together.

A very long wait. What should have been hot was cold, and when they served it, the food was thrown off the plate. The apple pie for dessert was frozen and the ice cream melted. The cherries were cold. We took the atmosphere with us. In short, not recommended, and we won't be going back. I wondered who the woman in the corner at table 32 was; she was really enjoying herself.

The company made up for the atmosphere. But what a disgrace. First, it took ages to even get our food or drinks. We complained about it several times, but no apology, nothing. Finally, we got dessert. What was supposed to be hot was cold or frozen. We informed the staff that we would get drinks at their expense. We thought, great, we'd get that with dessert. Dessert was served, but no drinks. After dessert was finished and after waiting fifteen minutes, we were completely fed up. We told the cashier that it was absolutely scandalous the way things are done there. Never again for us! Very inexperienced staff! Such a shame!

This experience is one to quickly forget. The service is extremely slow and inexperienced. The waitress in the evening showed up at the wrong table twice with our ordered dishes. Our Oriental trio appetizer was cold instead of what was supposed to be warm. Drinks took a long time to arrive, as did the order taking. Sure, the price isn't for a top-notch restaurant, but this could definitely be better.

We went here for dinner for my sister's birthday. It started off okay, but after an hour of ordering, something was finally served after we insisted. The starter was fine, but when we indicated we wanted to continue, it took another hour for the main course to arrive. I ordered a schnitzel, but it was only passable... our other guests had, among other things, the "Bregje" burger, but it just wasn't good. The bread was soggy, the burger itself wasn't cooked properly, and the meat from other dishes was just not good! After we pointed this out, the server apologized and told us we would receive something as an apology. Okay, we thought, let's move on to dessert! Well, 45 minutes after we asked, it still hadn't arrived! So we went to ask what was going on, and suddenly, it arrived! Well, in this case, it was also terrible. I had the Dame Blanche, but I think it came straight out of a freezer package and onto the plate. Well, when the server came back and asked how it was, we of course told them again how awful it was! We got another apology, and that was it. Well, when it was time to pay, we tried to bring it up again, but all we got were excuses and that it was busy. That's bullshit, because there was a large table behind us who came in later than us but left earlier! I know it's a Saturday night and it's busy... but after pointing things out several times and then basically saying, "Yeah, this is your problem." Yeah, I don't buy that, and I would advise everyone against eating here!

We had made a reservation for 5:15 PM because of the little ones we had with us, but our starters didn't arrive until 7:20 PM. The main course arrived lukewarm or even cold, and the hamburger was even completely soggy, lukewarm, and inedible. We pointed this out, but only offered apologies, not compensation. Even the manager apologized, saying, "Yes, it is Saturday," "Did you ask for a new one?" We decided not to ask for a new one because we were already waiting so long for our food. She said, "Yes, but the new dish will be on the table in 5 minutes!" So we can get a hot meal then? Absolutely not recommended!

Simply put, it's terrible. The wait between courses is incredibly long. And finally, some meat dishes are served lukewarm or even cold. Absolutely not recommended.

Terrible place. We arrived at 5:15 and had to wait a really long time before finally getting our starter at 6:30. I'm not even going to mention the main course; it was a nightmare. Even for a simple soft drink, we had to wait half an hour. The food was lukewarm/cold and sometimes even undercooked. We ordered two hamburgers, but a soggy sponge is nothing compared to that.

We had a wonderful meal here! It was hard to choose because everything on the menu was delicious. The price-quality ratio was also excellent! The only minor issue was that the staff was young and inexperienced. It's not much trouble to welcome you, ask if you enjoyed your meal, etc. But otherwise, it was fantastic!

I got cold food, will never come again

Unfortunately, I had a somewhat unpleasant experience here. The table was sticky. (Maybe because of a certain cleaning product?) The cutlery felt dirty. I saw splatters on the wall we were sitting next to. The food was lukewarm. On the street food platter, the spareribs weren't juicy. The wings were tasteless, even though they were supposed to be crispy and juicy. All the salmon was also lukewarm. And all of this despite us being early. So, it wasn't busy. Such a shame. The service was excellent, although you could tell they still had a lot to learn. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. Dessert was just fine. Even though we were quite early, we noticed that the floor was dirty and the acoustic dampening in the ceiling was almost falling off. The menus also had sticky splatters on them. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. You can definitely eat here for a decent price. But no matter how good the price is, I do expect my cutlery, in particular, to be clean.

Not what it used to be. We've been coming here for years, but this time I noticed a difference: longer waits, poorer food quality, and slower service. Perhaps it's the holiday season, or perhaps something has changed over the years.

What a disgrace. We'd told them beforehand that we were in a bit of a hurry because we had a party to attend, even though we arrived at the restaurant well in advance. It took about 20 minutes before we even received the menu. There was an hour between the appetizer and the main course! And by then we'd already asked about it three times. We wolfed down the food and skipped dessert. We couldn't afford to deduct that from the price. There was no apology, let alone a free drink, and our "host" didn't even bother to bother us. Disgraceful service.

I am not usually one for negative reviews but I have to get this off my chest. We were welcomed warmly and seated at a table. Here we were told who our hostess was. She looked very enthusiastic, but we actually didn't see her at the table the entire evening. We were given something to drink and a sandwich. After our bread was gone we had to wait almost half an hour for the menu. And it also took a very long time to get it. The starter was good. But after we had finished it, we were served it again. We indicated this and a while later the main course arrived. Unfortunately, this was also not good. The salmon was cold and very little. The burger was very tough and fried for too long. After the main course we were moved inside and here we had to wait another half hour for the menu. After we asked twice if the dessert could be included, it was finally done. And after 40 minutes we got the dessert. Which was strange because it was a ready-made dame blanche so why the 40 minutes? All in all, we just think it's a shame that we didn't see anyone at the table the whole evening. Our glasses were empty almost the whole evening, we had to ask for this ourselves. We weren't asked if it was to our liking. We didn't see the service almost the whole evening, and that's what you expect from a service.

Here for 19.95 we had a three-course meal. You can choose from different starters, main courses and desserts. We had a mocktail (non-alcoholic cocktail) to go with it. You do notice that some of the young staff members are a bit inexperienced but we didn't find that very disturbing. The weather was nice so we could also eat outside.

I was there with a group on Tuesday, June 3rd. Most of the food was very cold, and asking for a replacement was not possible. It says a lot when you hear the servers saying "I don't feel like this anymore", and then sitting at the bar on the phone. Perfect reflection of how the food was served.
