My boyfriend and I were planning to have a nice dinner here, but we left feeling dissatisfied. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and shown to a table. We had a choice of three tables. However, these were behind a wall, making us barely visible to the staff. We chose a table, but after fifteen minutes, no drinks or menus had been offered. Overlooked? It happens! I politely approached a staff member and told them we'd been waiting a while. She then came to help us, took our drink orders, and ordered the three-course menu. Unfortunately, it took a very long time for our appetizer to arrive. They had ordered at 7:15 PM, and it didn't arrive until 7:50 PM. It was delicious, though, so we held out hope. For the main course, my boyfriend and I both had the Bregje Burger. It took a good 45 minutes from the appetizer to the food... which is quite a long time. The food arrived. It wasn't a huge portion, but oh well, we still had hope. Until I touched the buns and they were very cold, just like the rest of the burger. The cheese on the burgers hadn't melted, and the burger was very soggy. As my boyfriend said, "What a waste of a cow." I normally don't like to comment on things like that, but this felt unacceptable. So we decided to skip dessert and eat it somewhere else.

We had a wonderful meal! We had a wonderful dinner here with my two children. The new menu is fantastic! You can tell the staff is genuinely committed to giving us a great evening.

For our appetizer, we had a pulled chicken taco. When my daughter took the last bite of her last taco, she pulled out a very long hair. This can happen, of course. But... I mentioned it to the waitress, and she asked if we wanted a new one. My daughter didn't want a new one... the last bite, with the "hair" and all... was enough to start over. When we paid, the same waitress asked if everything had been to her liking. Huh... she'd forgotten the "hair." So I replied, yes, except for the "hair." Oh yeah, she said. "If I'd known sooner, I could have done more." Excuse me... it was the last bite of the last taco, so now it seemed like it was our fault... I suggested that offering a drink would have been an option. They didn't even offer a discount. Sorry, but I thought the handling of our complaint was poor. No more Bregje Woerden for me.

Good food for a low price which is almost no longer available anywhere.

Our guests' reservations, which included what they wanted to eat during our visit, went absolutely wrong. We had to wait 30 minutes for our drinks, and we even had to send the croquette back three times because it was frozen solid. Seriously, our guests also found their food lukewarm and cold, and some things weren't right. We were also asked if they should microwave the food, and there was a piece of plastic in it. The service at the bar wasn't great either; you could see drinks being thrown away because they'd been sitting there too long. And then they said they'd resolved the issue with the contact person.

The food is really bad, the pricing is unclear, and it's way too warm. The cocktails are bland. The cheese platter consisted of three pieces of cheese. Of course, you can't expect much for this price, but the food and service could definitely be much better.

We regularly visit Bregje Woerden. This time, they're offering a special discount on an already very affordable menu! We had another great meal, the atmosphere was cozy and relaxed. The service was quick and the dishes were delicious. The price per person, including drinks, was €25 for three courses. Perfect if you suddenly feel like dining out. We're already planning our next visit 😄

Ate here yesterday, well, ate here...what a terrible experience. We had to wait a very long time for our food even though we had reservations for 23 people. Everyone had been told in advance what they wanted to eat. When the various courses were served, there was a huge delay before everyone had something. And the dishes were lukewarm to cold, or even still frozen... Unbelievable how they treat their guests. We will never come back!!!!!!!!

Food takes a long time (very long) and is cold when served

We regularly eat at various Bregje locations and are always very satisfied. Unfortunately, our visit to Bregje Woerden was a major disappointment. The food was cold, the portions very small, and the wait time was long (see photos). No one at the table was full when we left. We mentioned this to the staff several times, but nothing was done about it. Afterward, I sent a polite message to the restaurant to discuss the situation, but unfortunately, I received no compensation or serious response. It's a shame, because we always enjoyed going to Bregje. After this experience, we will definitely skip Bregje.

We had a reservation for 6:15 PM to dine for my mother's birthday. After an hour and 10 minutes, we still hadn't received our appetizer. When we finally received our appetizer (pulled chicken tacos), they were completely cold. We sent them back and were told they would give us new ones. They said they weren't supposed to be cold! After waiting another half hour and receiving a wooden butt, we received new tacos. To our dismay, they were cold again. We sent them back, but after waiting so long, we were done with it. We got up and left, explaining that this was absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable! They then forced us to pay for our drinks, which I thought was ridiculous, but my parents paid anyway. I can definitely say I'll never be back, and maybe they should hire some new, improved kitchen staff or force everyone to take a cooking course, because even a 3-year-old can do this better!

The company made up for the atmosphere. But what a disgrace. First, it took ages to even get our food or drinks. We complained about it several times, but no apology, nothing. Finally, we got dessert. What was supposed to be hot was cold or frozen. We informed the staff that we would get drinks at their expense. We thought, great, we'd get that with dessert. Dessert was served, but no drinks. After dessert was finished and after waiting fifteen minutes, we were completely fed up. We told the cashier that it was absolutely scandalous the way things are done there. Never again for us! Very inexperienced staff! Such a shame!

A very long wait. What should have been hot was cold, and when they served it, the food was thrown off the plate. The apple pie for dessert was frozen and the ice cream melted. The cherries were cold. We took the atmosphere with us. In short, not recommended, and we won't be going back. I wondered who the woman in the corner at table 32 was; she was really enjoying herself.

The food was cold, the service was clumsy, and drink orders and food arrived so late. After dodging the bar staff, my husband went to the kitchen himself to ask where our dessert was. It was a cold apple pie and cold cherries. As compensation, we were given two drinks on the house. Once we finished dessert, we still didn't have any drinks. Tables weren't cleared, and while we were still eating, we were asked if we'd finished. Three and a half hours of frustration. Then we were done and left. You guessed it: no compensation for the two drinks. What a disgrace Bregje is! Seriously, avoid Bregje!!! We're giving the 3 stars for atmosphere because we had a great time together.

This experience is one to quickly forget. The service is extremely slow and inexperienced. The waitress in the evening showed up at the wrong table twice with our ordered dishes. Our Oriental trio appetizer was cold instead of what was supposed to be warm. Drinks took a long time to arrive, as did the order taking. Sure, the price isn't for a top-notch restaurant, but this could definitely be better.

We went here for dinner for my sister's birthday. It started off okay, but after an hour of ordering, something was finally served after we insisted. The starter was fine, but when we indicated we wanted to continue, it took another hour for the main course to arrive. I ordered a schnitzel, but it was only passable... our other guests had, among other things, the "Bregje" burger, but it just wasn't good. The bread was soggy, the burger itself wasn't cooked properly, and the meat from other dishes was just not good! After we pointed this out, the server apologized and told us we would receive something as an apology. Okay, we thought, let's move on to dessert! Well, 45 minutes after we asked, it still hadn't arrived! So we went to ask what was going on, and suddenly, it arrived! Well, in this case, it was also terrible. I had the Dame Blanche, but I think it came straight out of a freezer package and onto the plate. Well, when the server came back and asked how it was, we of course told them again how awful it was! We got another apology, and that was it. Well, when it was time to pay, we tried to bring it up again, but all we got were excuses and that it was busy. That's bullshit, because there was a large table behind us who came in later than us but left earlier! I know it's a Saturday night and it's busy... but after pointing things out several times and then basically saying, "Yeah, this is your problem." Yeah, I don't buy that, and I would advise everyone against eating here!

Terrible place. We arrived at 5:15 and had to wait a really long time before finally getting our starter at 6:30. I'm not even going to mention the main course; it was a nightmare. Even for a simple soft drink, we had to wait half an hour. The food was lukewarm/cold and sometimes even undercooked. We ordered two hamburgers, but a soggy sponge is nothing compared to that.

Simply put, it's terrible. The wait between courses is incredibly long. And finally, some meat dishes are served lukewarm or even cold. Absolutely not recommended.

The main course arrived lukewarm or even cold, and the hamburger was even completely soggy, lukewarm, and inedible. We pointed this out, but only offered apologies, not compensation. Even the manager apologized, saying, "Yes, it is Saturday," "Did you ask for a new one?" We decided not to ask for a new one because we were already waiting so long for our food. She said, "Yes, but the new dish will be on the table in 5 minutes!" So we can get a hot meal then? Absolutely not recommended!

We had a wonderful meal here! It was hard to choose because everything on the menu was delicious. The price-quality ratio was also excellent! The only minor issue was that the staff was young and inexperienced. It's not much trouble to welcome you, ask if you enjoyed your meal, etc. But otherwise, it was fantastic!

I got cold food, will never come again

Unfortunately, I had a somewhat unpleasant experience here. The table was sticky. (Maybe because of a certain cleaning product?) The cutlery felt dirty. I saw splatters on the wall we were sitting next to. The food was lukewarm. On the street food platter, the spareribs weren't juicy. The wings were tasteless, even though they were supposed to be crispy and juicy. All the salmon was also lukewarm. And all of this despite us being early. So, it wasn't busy. Such a shame. The service was excellent, although you could tell they still had a lot to learn. We didn't have to wait long for the food either. Dessert was just fine. Even though we were quite early, we noticed that the floor was dirty and the acoustic dampening in the ceiling was almost falling off. The menus also had sticky splatters on them. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. You can definitely eat here for a decent price. But no matter how good the price is, I do expect my cutlery, in particular, to be clean.

Not what it used to be. We've been coming here for years, but this time I noticed a difference: longer waits, poorer food quality, and slower service. Perhaps it's the holiday season, or perhaps something has changed over the years.

What a disgrace. We'd told them beforehand that we were in a bit of a hurry because we had a party to attend, even though we arrived at the restaurant well in advance. It took about 20 minutes before we even received the menu. There was an hour between the appetizer and the main course! And by then we'd already asked about it three times. We wolfed down the food and skipped dessert. We couldn't afford to deduct that from the price. There was no apology, let alone a free drink, and our "host" didn't even bother to bother us. Disgraceful service.

Great place to sit with great food! The food is not top quality but for the price you can just have a nice, relaxed and tasty meal.

I am not usually one for negative reviews but I have to get this off my chest. We were welcomed warmly and seated at a table. Here we were told who our hostess was. She looked very enthusiastic, but we actually didn't see her at the table the entire evening. We were given something to drink and a sandwich. After our bread was gone we had to wait almost half an hour for the menu. And it also took a very long time to get it. The starter was good. But after we had finished it, we were served it again. We indicated this and a while later the main course arrived. Unfortunately, this was also not good. The salmon was cold and very little. The burger was very tough and fried for too long. After the main course we were moved inside and here we had to wait another half hour for the menu. After we asked twice if the dessert could be included, it was finally done. And after 40 minutes we got the dessert. Which was strange because it was a ready-made dame blanche so why the 40 minutes? All in all, we just think it's a shame that we didn't see anyone at the table the whole evening. Our glasses were empty almost the whole evening, we had to ask for this ourselves. We weren't asked if it was to our liking. We didn't see the service almost the whole evening, and that's what you expect from a service.

Here for 19.95 we had a three-course meal. You can choose from different starters, main courses and desserts. We had a mocktail (non-alcoholic cocktail) to go with it. You do notice that some of the young staff members are a bit inexperienced but we didn't find that very disturbing. The weather was nice so we could also eat outside.

I was there with a group on Tuesday, June 3rd. Most of the food was very cold, and asking for a replacement was not possible. It says a lot when you hear the servers saying "I don't feel like this anymore", and then sitting at the bar on the phone. Perfect reflection of how the food was served.

Unfortunately, Bregje disappointed us on almost all fronts. When we arrived, it took quite a while before we even got a menu. Our waiter did his best and was friendly, but halfway through the evening we literally heard other staff say that they “didn’t feel like it anymore” — not a very pleasant atmosphere otherwise. The tomato soup as a starter was extremely sweet and reminded more of baby food than soup. Not recommended. The main course (chicken satay) was lukewarm, just cooked enough not to send it back, but certainly not good. The prawn crackers were limp and soggy, and the potato salad was downright disgusting. In addition, it was oppressively warm inside, the interior felt dated and messy, and the building itself has little charisma. As if that wasn’t enough, drinks were talked into in a forced manner — not hospitable, rather uncomfortable. I doubt whether you can really eat better in Woerden for this price, but I would have happily paid 10 euros more if that had meant that the food had actually been good.

The dishes were ready-made, lukewarm and tasteless. Only the fries were tasty. Service was fine but it all took far too long. The ceiling fan that hung above our table had not been cleaned for years. The dust bunnies could fall onto our plates at any moment. Really disgusting! A real waste of your money and your evening out.

An evening full of bad luck and sloppiness. First a glass of wine over me, then a plastic bag in my salad and then another piece of plastic in the dessert. This is compensated with 2 menus that cannot be calculated. We were with a group of 8 and regularly visit various bregjes throughout the country. But we have never experienced this.

I had to wait almost an hour for my dessert, really ridiculous. I only saw the host at the beginning and not afterwards. If you have the time, you can go. But for a quick evening meal, you lose your entire evening because of the slow and bad service. In the time that my sparkling water was on the tables, I could have driven to the AH and back.

I had never been to a Bregje before. It is especially easy to eat with larger groups. The food is nothing special. There was only 1 person who was allowed to take orders from the wait staff and it took a long time before we got in touch with her.

Very bad food. We didn't come in expecting haute cuisine, but well-cooked and hot food is the least you can expect. This was not met. The hamburger had not seen the grill. The rest of the menus were cold. The children's menu (which arrived at the same time as our main course) was reheated in the fryer. This made the nuggets hard and very greasy. After an hour and a half we only had a starter. At checkout I was expected to just pay for everything. While we only had the fries. In the end we were deducted 1 menu. The manager was supposed to come to speak to us, but this gentleman never came. Explanation from the lady he sent: it was chaos in the kitchen. There is nothing to criticize about the service staff. Those girls did everything they could to make it a fun evening for our children.

A cozy place to eat together. The three-course menu offers something for everyone, although there could be more vegetarian dishes. However, the service is on the slow side, even though it was not busy when we were there. When we indicated this due to an appointment elsewhere, the next dish came faster.

Had dinner on Thursday evening for just under 20 euros. How is that possible?!!Delicious food, great service and a nice atmosphere in the restaurant. Located in a bit of a strange place with a bowling alley and cubanita at the top, but you can park well and free at the P&R across the street. Highly recommended.

Met tweede kerstdag dachten wij na het bezoeken van het nijntje museum onze kerst af te sluiten bij bregje. De avond begon echt leuk er was een kerstman die langs de tafels ging en de kinderen waren zichtbaar onder de indruk. Wij begrijpen als geen ander dat met dit soort dagen drukte is overal en dus hadden wij al vroeg gereserveerd voor jonge kinderen die wij nog hebben eindstand stapte wij met 4 huilende kinderen de auto in terug naar huis. Het voorgerecht duurde anderhalf uur voor drie kopjes soep en pulled chicken wraps na meerder keren vragen snapte niemand van bregje er meer wat van en dit was te zien in het vervolg van de avond. Het hoofdgerecht was zeker lekker maar duurder ook weer veel te lang Bij het nagerecht wat weer door elkaar was gehaald met een andere tafels zijn we opgestaan want zoals eerder omschreven hadden we al meerdere huilende kinderen die zwaar over bedtijd heen waren. Dit filiaal van bregje moet of zorgen dat ze hun concept beter onder de knie gaan krijgen of iets anders gaan bedenken want wij zijn niet de enige die dit zo hebben ervaren.

Delicious food and very affordable

We arrived at 7:30 PM, having reserved in advance. It was packed as is often the case. We were given a table that was too small for 5 people, it took 15 minutes before we were helped... before the drinks were on the table and we received the menu, it took us half an hour. Before the selection was recorded it was still later, so this evening ended in just waiting and waiting. We got the starter at 8:50 pm, too ridiculous for words. I also pointed out that it took too long. Had to ask if they wanted to take the empty glasses with them while they put down the new drinks. The main course also took at least more than half an hour, when the food was served, no empty glasses were filled, so I walked to the bar to order, which is a shame. Then it took another 10 minutes for the drinks to arrive while I saw the drinks on the tray to be taken away. Continuously passing the plates at the table, too tired to walk around the table to pick up or put down the plates! Accepting a plate once or something, okay, but doing that all evening is a no go! Our host started off cheerfully, but what else happened was not good and especially that long wait and then saying at the starter that it took so long because there were too many desserts at the same time is of course not good either. Waited at least 45 minutes for a starter!! And the worst part is that we end up paying with a kind of lady at the cash register (who asks if it was to your liking), we indicate our complaints and then we just say it (which is probably what they do as standard to get away with it). pick up the herb butter sandwiches for €8. Maybe intervene earlier and if people have to wait too long, give them a drink on the house... then you're ahead of the curve. But unfortunately they don't have that attentive and customer-oriented staff there. It turned out to be a long story... but it cleared my heart. No more Bregje for me.

Een broodplankje met kruidenboter vooraf wijntje🍷 biertje🍺erbij. Voorgerecht vis trio een aanrader. Varkenshaas was ook lekker. Het was smakelijk eten😃

Beautiful restaurant, tasty food and a cozy atmosphere. The restaurant is beautifully decorated on the inside and is very spacious. Most of the food is fairly simple, but very tasty. The staff is very friendly. When we asked if we could borrow a pack of cards, we were immediately given one and at the end of the evening we were allowed to keep it for ourselves. Highly recommended

Recently ate here after a day out with the kids. The starters took 45 minutes to arrive, then we waited almost as long for the main courses. This is unacceptable, especially at a formula restaurant. The desserts came fairly quickly. The food was as expected but the portions are on the small side. No problem if you get everything served fairly quickly, but now this became noticeable. The service was friendly but not very attentive. All in all, a big fail.

Not the first time we have eaten here, but it will be the last time for a while. The food itself is fine, but often just not warm enough anymore. The time between dishes is very long and the table remains full for a long time. With a little help, the excess glass and bottleware will be removed. It is very awkward to have contact with the staff, which means that less people drink than they should have. The wait for dessert took way too long. Too bad the management doesn't have it under control.

Nowadays, when we go to Bregje, we always go to the location in Woerden. We think this one is the coziest, very tastefully decorated... just a good ambiance. You can also eat very tasty food here for a good price ratio. Favorites are the beef tataki, carpaccio, pulled chicken quesadilla and the cheesecake. The staff is always very friendly, service-oriented and can take feedback! I don't usually give feedback in a restaurant, but I did this evening and it was received positively and acted upon. Keep doing the good work 👍🏼

How they do it for the money no idea but quality is good, Friendly service & good portions. Don't expect a lot of food, but it is certainly enough with a sandwich. Tasty cocktails, beautiful terrace (unfortunately halved these days). Service was a bit slower than usual due to crowds, but the food certainly did not suffer. Recommended!

When I used to come here I didn't really know what I liked on the menu, but today it was very different when we came to eat with the volunteers from the Repair Cafe APPETIZER: As a starter I started with the beef tataki, I added some salt and pepper to it, which was of course on the table and I thought this dish was really delicious, perfect taste combination. MAIN DISH: I ordered the spare ribs, they were deliciously seasoned, but they did not fall off the bone quickly But taste was very good. Tried to eat here today. When booking, we specifically indicated that we would like a spot outside on the terrace. The young man at the service understood that the two of us had opted for a four-person table for this reason, because all the tables on the outside are divided into four-person tables. Then, according to her, the manager came to tell us "friendly" that we were supposed to move to a two-person table, to which my wife replied that we would rather not move (while the waiter had already agreed that we could stay to sit). It's a shame to have to start a discussion about a table, while the reservation system showed that there was still plenty of room if it got busier. For us, this discussion unfortunately spoiled the dining experience quite a bit and we moved to another restaurant, where we received customer-friendly service and were still able to enjoy a pleasant dining experience. Missed opportunity for Bregje Woerden, saying that you are customer-friendly and showing customer-friendliness are two different aspects.
