Nice restaurant, we ate delicious different dishes with our family, we had a nice evening!

Excellent value for money with typical Italian dishes. You'll be served and advised on the dishes in a homely atmosphere. There are also plenty of options beyond the menu; just ask the owner, who is often present and welcomes you with open arms in his own Sicilian way. Besides the delicious meals, they also have a wide selection of wines, which is highly recommended. This restaurant also regularly offers wine tasting evenings with a detailed explanation of the dish's creation and the accompanying wine. Something we as a family thoroughly enjoy.

The pizzas are excellent, with a good crust. The service is also excellent, very attentive. Highly recommended.

Service wasn't fast. I give the pizzas a meager six. Near our seats, there were a couple of cobwebs and dead flies. Could be cleaner.

Last Saturday I had a wine tasting here. The food, the wine, and the atmosphere were fantastic! You can clearly see the owner's passion for what he does. The staff was also friendly. In short, everything was perfect, and we've never had such a delicious and satisfying meal :)

Enjoyed authentic Italian food on the terrace. A delicious antipasti platter with cured meats, cheeses, olives, and appetizers. Followed by spaghetti aioli and olio. It was fantastic!

The wine selection is impressive, with bottles of very high quality that perfectly complement the dishes. What truly makes this restaurant special is the host: a true Italian with an unparalleled passion for his craft and Italian cuisine. You can taste that passion in every dish and feel it in the warm, welcoming atmosphere. An evening at La Dolce Vita is pure Italian enjoyment – ​​culinary craftsmanship, top-quality wines, and a host who makes you feel at home. In short: a gem for lovers of Italian cuisine.

The owner made a very inappropriate joke upon arrival, which he mostly laughed at. The other staff were very friendly. The house wine was delicious. The ravioli with truffle sauce was also delicious. But 12 pieces of pasta for €22 doesn't seem reasonable. From now on, we'll go a bit further afield when we want Italian food in Ommen.

On Gio's advice, we enjoyed a delicious meal of Italian cuisine.

Ordered 3 pizzas for €54. Luckily, we checked the box before leaving because one pizza was completely missing a topping (a shame). The pizzas didn't look particularly appealing, though (disappointed). After we pointed out that the toppings were missing, we did receive a bottle of wine (thoughtful). The pizzas were quite filling, though (which I find very important).

Don't take anything from the menu and just ask the chef to prepare all kinds of dishes, super tasty and very cozy

The food was okay, but honestly, nothing special. The herb butter was much too hard, making it unspreadable, and there was a sewer smell outside where we were seated, but the restaurant can't do anything about that.

What a discovery! A Quattro Formaggi with pesto cheese instead of blue cheese was a truly brilliant idea. The pesto cheese added such a wonderful, herby freshness that the other cheeses were even more pronounced. Every bite was melting, creamy, and simply delicious. And then… the limoncello. Ice cold, sparkling, and so refreshing that it felt like a sunny Sicilian holiday in a glass. Compliments to the chef; this was a delight from start to finish! Gio, grazie per il bel culetto e a presto! In other words, thank you and see you soon! ❤️

Had pesto pasta with penne. Immediately afterward, I had a stomach ache and needed the toilet. A waitress came over and mumbled, "Whose is this?" Then he said it was a pesto pizza, when it was actually a Quattro Formaggi. I bought a beef steak for €43.50 with barely any herb butter. I asked for medium rare but was given rare. And it still tasted quite tough/like a cheap cut of meat from the supermarket. Never again.

We gingen buiten zitten vanwege de temperatuur, maar er lagen helaas veel peuken op de grond en meubels zien er wat vergaan uit. Pizza’s hadden we meer van verwacht als je eet bij een Siciliaans restaurant. De bodem smaakt goed maar karig belegd met veel te veel mozzarella.

Contrary to our previous review, we had incredibly bad pizzas tonight. They were soaking wet. They tasted like mushrooms from water, and the rest was frozen. Such a shame, as we were looking forward to our annual Ommen outing. During our vacation, we ate here with two adults and two children. The service was reasonably quick, as the restaurant was packed. The pizzas arrived within 20 minutes. The dough was good, the toppings were good, and the temperature was good. In short, a delicious and enjoyable meal.

We had a delicious meal at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly, and we were even offered a limoncello on the house. We will definitely be back!

Simply good food with fresh products

What a breath of fresh air! I came in alone; it was busy, but they immediately prepared a "viertje" (a four-course meal) for me. A very nice menu and a good wine list. The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The food was excellent; burrata and sirloin steak. I will definitely be back, even though Ommen isn't close by. Many Dutch restaurants and cafes could learn a thing or two from this.

La Dolce Vita Ommen is a Sicilian gem in Ommen. You can immediately taste that all dishes are freshly prepared and made with real Sicilian products. The flavors are pure, rich and full of character, as if you are in Sicily itself. From the pasta to the homemade limoncello 'everything radiates quality and passion'. A wonderful experience for lovers of real Italian cuisine!

Good food and good wine always very pleasant

Ate outside, wine ridiculously expensive and very small quantity. Pizza was fine. Other guests could smoke unashamedly at the table under the owner's watchful eye! The owner himself really likes to hear himself talk and is overly jovial towards guests and also gives all kinds of medical advice to guests.

This pizza is not worthy of the name Italian! The bottom was hard, stiff, not crispy; certainly not fresh soil. In addition, it was a very small pizza….

It was super tasty food and a nice atmosphere. We had a nice chat with the owner. And all the other servers were also very neat and very nice. I recommend you all to eat here sometime.

Vriendelijke ontvangst zelf een plekje uitzoeken. Vooraf bruschetta soort hard naanbrood niet watm maar bekeg smakelijk en gekruid. Carpaccio is zoals hoort te zijn. Lasagne (gewone) is voorzien van mozzarella en ham gehakt maar erg flauw en machtig. Zelf peper zout erop is iets beter maar niet top. Mixed grill 4 soorten vlees ossenhaas, biefstuk, varkenshaas en ribbetjes en in die volgorde worden de stukjes ook groter. Eerste drie prima gebakken en lekker, ribbetjes laten liggen ik houd er niet van gekluif en zat al vol ook. Frietjes en mayo top krokant! Sausjes wat standaard bbq chili en soort bearnaise. Dessert 1x de huisgemaakte meloentiramisu is heerlijk! Lekker gegeten.

Dinner for three. Authentic Italian atmosphere. Good food, the Italian style ribs were cooked, tender and mildly seasoned. An eye-opener. The authentic bruscetta is a delicious snack beforehand. The pasta at the table was also enjoyed. The sorbet is unique, but tasty. Portions were more than enough for our party, but not over the top.

Had dinner on Tuesday evening. This nice restaurant is a bit hidden in Ommen. We were early but soon more people arrived on the terrace. Correct service and delicious food. We ate the anti-pasti, pork tenderloin with gorgonzola sauce and the tortelle. Great, a place where we will come back again!

The food was far from a culinary delight. The lasagna with fish, spinach, and seafood turned out to be canned tuna with some pasta and a bit of spinach—no seafood in sight. The spaghetti with basil was equally unremarkable. The only redeeming aspect was the server, who was friendly and professional. Overall, the dining experience was disappointing.

Dit was een enorme tegenvaller. Ondanks de wisselende recensies hebben wij toch een gokje gewaagd. De huisgemaakte lasagne was smaakloos en een kleine portie. Het glas wijn was karig ingeschonken net boven de bodem. De carbonarasaus was met teveel kaas bereid. De glutenvrije pasta was te lang doorgekookt en niet al dente. De bediening lette niet goed op, de eigenaren waren aanwezig op de achtergrond. Achteraf hebben wij spijt dat we dit allemaal niet hebben gezegd.

Maybe we just had some bad luck. With the service that kept forgetting something, but was sympathetic. With the smelly garbage containers next to the terrace that didn't really make sitting outside pleasant. And all those flies... they didn't come from there, did they? With the pizzas that were so greasy that it dripped off with every bite. And with the smokers 1 table further. Having to sit full of cigarette smoke with a toddler around... well.

Well, we were based on the good reviews, but we were disappointed with the quality of the food, or are we just used to more elsewhere? The pizza base was very hard and not tasty, the filling was not very tasty and even the rosé could not be recognized as such. For dessert we went elsewhere in Ommen. Too bad... but the only plus was the friendly and smooth service!!!

Toen ik de reviews las schrok ik en twijfelde of we hier zouden gaan eten. De afgelopen jaren waren we vanuit Limburg regelmatig in Ommen en aten we bij La Dolce Vita. Steeds naar tevredenheid. Ondanks sommige negatieve reviews toch gegaan. Bediening prettig, snel en vriendelijk. De gerechten waren verrassend lekker. Mooi opgemaakt en zeer smaakvol. Als afsluiter een verrukkelijke limoncello van de zaak. Het is dan leuk om met Gio, de eigenaar te praten en te horen hoe hij met hart en ziel zijn bedrijf leidt en op een hoog niveau probeert te houden. Wij hebben genoten! Tot de volgende keer! Had a delicious meal yesterday! Pizza and homemade tagliatelle. The tiramisu was also delicious! Staff was very friendly and welcoming! We may have had to wait a while for the food, but that wasn't a problem because the quality was very good!

We eat there several times a month, not only because the food is delicious (and not average), but just as important because the owner Gioachino (Gio for the Hollandaisie) welcomes you as if you were family. He has countless customers who have been dining there for perhaps 30 years, and they are all welcomed in the same warm and personal way. On the intimate terrace, you imagine yourself abroad, on holiday, in an Italian, warm family restaurant, where you are spoiled with delicious food and wine. Treat yourself to a mini vacation for an evening and be surprised by one of the best Italian restaurants in the Netherlands, right here in Ommen. A disadvantage is that most Italian restaurants will be disappointing after that. And in the summer it is advisable to make a reservation if you want to eat or to call your pizza in advance if you are too impatient to wait to pick up. But if you do have to wait, the taste is guaranteed to be worth it.

Got 3 pizzas last Friday. Some nasty pizza's grease was floating on the pizza with chicken, the calzone was 1 piece of vegetable, the rest was just meat. Even though the place was half full, we had to wait almost 50 minutes for the pizza. In the meantime, I see that the place needs a major cleaning. Open cupboard with wines too dirty to handle. Owner gets into a discussion with customers. I'll never come here again.

Ate here tonight. Very friendly and customer-oriented service, mushrooms in garlic starter, truly divine! I did ask for some olive oil for the bread that was served with it. As a main course we both had the homemade tagliatelle, my partner the bolignese variant (he liked it, but somewhat boring) and I had it with vegetables and a nice creamy tomato sauce, delicious, but I couldn't eat everything. For now, my partner had the tiramisu and I had the limoncello dessert, both delicious! Because I have been making tiramisu at home for 30 years, I was curious about their version. I must honestly admit that they prepare these really tasty. Also compliments for the presentation of the desserts, everything looked very beautiful and tasty! We had a bottle of house wine and afterwards 2 coffees and 2 limoncello, together 110 euros.

I returned to this place after many years...after booking for 5 people...we arrived at the place 10 minutes late. For dinner around 8.15pm. the first impression was that we had booked to eat outside and there was no table prepared... it can happen... how can it happen that the staff didn't know about the reservation... made in the early afternoon. . Sededoci brought us the menu books... and the wine list... We asked for an appetizer for several people... and they served us a 27 euro dish with two slices of tomato and a slice of mozzarella on top... 10 green olives... two slices of raw ham, two slices of spicy salami, two slices of melon with ham 3 small slices of cheese.. with six pieces of focaccia.. and three accompanying sauces with pesto and dried cherry tomatoes. Then asking for more bread they told us that the oven was off... and so after we asked for another appetizer instead of scones they brought us snack bar chips... N.b. at eleven the staff ate a pizza each...strange the oven was off... The sore point is that to eat the appetizer we had to ask for cutlery because after more than twenty minutes of being seated they had brought us the appetizer and the saucers, forgetting to bring cutlery and napkins.. The two stars for the food are for the second courses served well and tasty. If there was more consideration for customers I would have given more stars unfortunately this is not the case..

Got two pizzas yesterday, inedible, way too salty, everything was floating in grease, crust not crispy, once but never again! Two pizzas plus two starters, starters were delicious, the pizzas were inedible, you could see the salt on top!

Starter excellent, main course mediocre. I don't know what the tomato base was on the pizza, but it was just sweet (canned tomatoes with ketchup?). Yak. Dominated the pizzas.

De taken van de bediening, lopen verkeerd. Je wordt als klant geholpen door wel 4 of 5 personeelsleden. Dat gaat dus fout, alles wordt op briefjes geschreven. Wij kregen tot 2x toe dubbele drankjes. We kregen, na lang wachten het hoofdgerecht met het voorgerecht voorgeschoteld. De eigenaar van dit restaurant, loopt al praatjes makend door zijn zaak, in plaats dat hij helpt en zijn personeel goede aanwijzingen geeft. Totaal niet geschikt voor deze job! Heel irritant! De kwaliteit van het eten, laat ook te wensen over. Alles puur haastwerk, zo jammer! We zijn in gesprek gegaan en hebben korting gekregen op het betaalgedrag. Dat was netjes!
