Restaurant "Hooge Graven" in Arrien

We had booked a surprise menu. Our expectation was that the chef would really go all out with various small dishes. The soup was delicious. The meat baguette was fine, but a bit disappointing compared to what we saw at other tables. We were not greeted upon arrival and after a while we just sat down somewhere. It took a while for them to come to our table. And little attention was paid to the serving either (no explanation or a quick check in between). Fine, but room for improvement.

We stopped here for a break during our hike. The pancakes were delicious and the coffee was small but good. The service was friendly and attentive.

Food was good, ambiance a bit less :)

We received excellent service and enjoyed ourselves on the terrace with Olaf serving! A super fun and friendly guy who really knows how to give people a top-notch evening!☀️
