We had a wonderful evening yesterday...a warm welcome from chef Gerard and owner Jan van Elburg, and the always friendly staff. The food was delicious and not expensive! What a fantastic evening! We'll definitely be back...thanks to Local 1832, everyone!

At the campsite, we were blown away and it got cold. We decided to walk to the center of Ommen for a bite to eat and a drink. At 1832, they were happy to help: a delicious, extensive tasting menu with fries. Super tasty and cozy. Friendly help and good service. Excellent.

You've also come to the right place for catering. We thoroughly enjoyed all the delicious treats (hot and cold) that were delivered every half hour. They also provided tents, lighting, and glassware. Fantastic service, highly recommended!

Na een pieterpad etappe hier gegeten. Het eten was lekker maar de porties zijn aan de kleine kant. Ze bieden aan 1 maal friet en 1 maal aardappeltjes te serveren. Je ziet deze dan achteraf wel op je rekening staan. Ik had de truffelrisotto met paddestoelen. Hier zaten maar een paar champignons in en het kost 21,00 euro. Conclusie Ommen heeft heel veel restaurants, voor de prijs kwaliteit verhouding kun je beter ergens anders gaan eten

The food wasn't great. Ordered bavette with. Strange, but this one was medley and tough. It was really very little, sauce was minimal. No fries but potato gratin. That should have been mentioned, you have to love a cream container like that. Partner had chicken skewer, which was also really substandard. He doesn't like gratin so he ate almost nothing. We will never go here again.

Cosy, snug and modern restaurant. Friendly service and delicious fresh and tasty food. Plates are beautifully and neatly presented. The potatoes as a side dish are finger-licking good, just like the delicious bread. Definitely recommended if you are staying in Ommen. Price/quality is excellent.

Very cozy restaurant with truly delicious food. Everything we had was perfect! But the star of the evening was the blonde lady at the counter Warmly and spontaneously and we were served with the biggest smile you can imagine!!! DEFINITELY recommended

The first impression of the restaurant was very pleasant – a spacious, cozy dining area, stylish interior, and a welcoming atmosphere. Everything suggested that we were in for a great dining experience. However, the excitement didn’t last long. Even before our food arrived, the waiter accidentally spilled an entire glass of beer on me. The result? Soaked pants and a white shirt drenched in beer. Of course, accidents happen, but the way the staff handled the situation left a bad impression. The waiter apologized and brought only one towel, which quickly became soaked, and no one offered a replacement. The wet towel remained on the edge of our table for a long time until we had to ask for it to be taken away. There was no additional assistance or any effort from the restaurant to make up for the situation. Despite this, we tried to enjoy our meal. We ordered tartare, steak, mustard soup, beef cheeks, and a starter platter. The tartare was very small, barely a few bites, but tasted good. The mustard soup was overpoweringly intense, lacking the creaminess that makes it truly enjoyable. After just three spoonfuls, the full intensity of the mustard became overwhelming. The steak was well-cooked, with a nice level of doneness, but the baked potato served with it was tasteless. However, the potatoes served separately in a small pot were tender and delicious. The beef cheeks didn’t impress us, but the starter platter was a pleasant surprise with an interesting combination of flavors and well-paired ingredients. Unfortunately, the overall experience was already ruined. Would I return to this restaurant? Most likely not. I wouldn’t go back on my own.

The restaurant is not very cozy. 1 pen space with a strange ceiling and you look straight into the fluorescent-lit kitchen. The service does their best, but there was a wait to order drinks. The starter was Zwolle Mustard Soup. We both found it very disappointing. An overly creamy, lumpy soup with a few pieces of bacon and little mustard... a bit tasteless and a strange structure. Then the chicken skewers. 2 skewers with some chicken. A bit of atjar tambour, a bit of satay sauce.....that's it The fries we got...well done and boring and again very few. Too little food, prepared without love and we chose dessert because we simply still had room. The dessert with waffles and amarene cherries was again a disappointment. The waffles were hard... so hard that when one of us tried to remove a piece with the dessert spoon... it slid away. The bill was sky high.....we thought the amount was absolutely not worth it. Not again for us.

Hi! I'm normally not one for leaving reviews, but I still have to say this... I had lunch here this afternoon and I ordered the beef carpaccio, but I didn't get beef carpaccio but something that looked like spoiled ham. I mentioned this to the staff but she told me that it was really just carpaccio and that it was due to the sun that it had changed color... Well, I thought this was so strange. At that moment I couldn't say much because I didn't want to make a scene, but I just threw up and that was because of that sandwich because I was too nauseous to eat anything else. I hope you will do something with this and not serve this to other customers.

Food was ok. Unfortunately, as in so many eateries nowadays, the fries/potatoes are very limited. 1 bowl for 5 people, but asked for extra and it came when the meat was cold. Won't come here again.

Good evening. On July 26 we had dinner with you, a girl came up to us from whom we ordered drinks. I ordered water and orange juice, my partner ordered sweet white wine and we immediately ordered the food. My partner ordered a starter and I ordered a steak. Then they brought us a drink but the wine was dry, not sweet. While waiting for our food we wanted to ask for the wine to be replaced, but unfortunately no one came to us for 50 minutes to ask if everything was okay. I asked why it had to take 50 minutes to cook our food? There weren't many guests and the steak and salad didn't take long to make. We were told they forgot our order. They handled this situation very unprofessionally, my partner didn't drink anything for 50 minutes because of the staff and we waited almost an hour for our order. I hope this doesn't happen often, no coffee or anything else was offered for the inconvenience. Be responsible for the mistakes you make.

Had a delicious meal here last Friday evening with the three of us. Nice atmosphere, very good and friendly service and top quality dishes. Steak tartare that was well seasoned in advance, as a main course sukade with a super gravy and vegetables. In addition, fries with baharat herbs and a fresh salad were served. The dessert with the stewed pears and cinnamon ice cream is highly recommended. The ice cream is so delicious! I would be surprised if this wasn't homemade ice cream. In short, highly recommended!

Wij vonden het echt schandalig slecht eten voor een belachelijk hoge prijs. Wat couscous met 4 stukjes gegrilde courgette erop en verder geen enkele kruiden. Het enige lekkere waren de patatjes; we hadden beter in de snackbar kunnen eten en onze 22 Euro in onze zak kunnen stoppen. Echt geen aanrader!!!!!!!!!!!!

Definitely worth a visit here. Just good food. An excellent menu: sufficient choice and also some different dishes than are on many other menus. The service was friendly, although we did have to wait a while for our drinks to be taken. There was quite an unpleasant smell around our table, probably another guest who had intestinal problems or something with the sewerage was not right😅. The generous starters (grilled zucchini and game pâté) were served on a salad. The main courses (flat iron steak and salmon with orange) were served with potato wedges, vegetables and separate containers with fries, mayo and salad. We had a full belly after 2/3 courses!
