Full disclosure: I can only review where they make the pizzas and you pick them up for takeaway. Best pizza in Amsterdam. It's true you can order for pickup and when you get there your pizzas aren't even in the oven yet. The choice is yours however, either wait 15-20 minutes for the best pizza or go elsewhere for a B-class pizza.

They offer wood-oven Italian pizza that was very delicious and flavorful. The kitchen is across from the restaurant and also handles takeout orders. Since the restaurant was fully booked, we ordered from the kitchen side. Fortunately, they had a beautiful table where we could enjoy our pizza fresh out of the oven! The staff were very friendly, and we truly enjoyed the experience

A good pizza! - the pizza with salame ventricina (spicy) was pretty good! Tasty and well balanced with ingredients - staff was kind - the atmosphere inside is okay, nothing really special. They could decorate it a bit more, as now it feels a bit dry. Spacing is good enough, some tables a bit close but overall okay - the location is really pretty, if you eat outside you’re in the earth of Jordaan in a very beautiful street - prices are very high, I believe they have a high-end target of customers

La Perla's pizzas are surely the best pizza of whole Netherlands. I know pizzas and these ones of La Perla are very well made, almost 'una verace napoletana' and is definitely worth to try. Even if the wait is long the experience is worthy!

The best pizza in Amsterdam. I used to come here weekly when I lived nearby, but I'd kind of forgotten about it. Today I finally went back, and the food was delicious! Still the best pizza—simple, super tasty, and full of fresh flavors. The service was also excellent today. The tall young man with light hair was incredibly friendly, not overly so, just very pleasant and attentive. Highly recommended.

I went to this place following ChatGPT advice while in Amsterdam and it didn’t disappoint. The pizza and tiramisu both hit the spot and were super delicious. The pizza crust and flavor were delish! Highly recommended when visiting Amsterdam and it’s located in a super cozy, beautiful, and not so touristic neighborhood.

The food is simply world-class! We had a pizza, a lasagna (due to the specials of the day), a salad, and a minestrone. Everything was absolutely excellent. The staff is attentive and friendly. Truly a gem in Amsterdam.

The prices are tolerable, but even despite the rather tasty dough, the pizza itself is nothing special, there is just something thrown on top of the dough and nothing more, no harmony of taste, no play of tastes. Just dough smeared with tomato paste and something thrown on top. If you want to eat greasy and tasty pizza, then don't come to this place.

Excellent pizza in a very casual atmosphere. We entered drawn by the smell of tomato sauce, which seemed very "homemade." As always, when I'm abroad, I go for the Margherita, so it's best to keep it simple. The pizza was perfectly cooked, with excellent tomatoes, as promised, and good mozzarella. We ate on stools at the counter in the window, in the part where the oven is (kudos to the pizza chefs, who listened to Iron Maiden). Across the street, you can eat at various tables (both inside and on the street). Highly recommended.

I mean I get it it's Amsterdam, but still way too overpriced. 24,50€ for a mediocre Pizza and for a Cola Zero. 😅 I was in Napoli and let me tell you... the Pizza there is classes better. Service was good, but also not extraordinary to justify 5* Ambiente was not so nice outside imo. Can't say anything about the inside, because the weather was good, so I stayed outside.

We went there without a reservation, and after a quick consultation, we were given a 50-minute time slot. However, since the pizzas took a while to arrive, we couldn't quite make it to the 50-minute time limit, but this didn't cause any problems. We received excellent service, and the pizza was incredibly delicious—I'd say it was something special, and a lovely end to our day in Amsterdam.

Pizza is great but expensive. Suggest to order for take away and do not sit in. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is terrible. Extremely noisy. The staff is bored and makes very much noise inside the open bar tiding the culinary. Unacceptable for such a exquisite pizza restaurant. We stayed only for half an hour. We couldn’t enjoy the food in such a bad vibe.

The reviews were good, but in a cosmopolitan city like Amsterdam, it's not always easy to meet expectations. A small, cozy, and multicultural place where locals and tourists share the space equally. The pizzas were EXCELLENT, and the pastas and salads were very good. Highly recommended, although the menu isn't extensive. Better a little and well done than a lot and mediocre. We went without a reservation, and within minutes they found a space for us to dine. The staff was efficient, attentive, and always attentive. Highly recommended.

I have been to this place many times, and it used to be my favorite pizza spot in Amsterdam — until my last visit. Despite having a reservation, we were asked to leave after just 1 hour and 18 minutes, while still enjoying our cocktails. The staff explained that the manager questions them if there are waiting customers, which made us feel pressured and rushed out. This treatment left a very disappointing final impression.

We had a terrible racist experience with this place. We wanted to dine in here this past Monday, August 11th. There were at least three free tables, and first they invited us to come in. At that time, the waiter only saw me and my nephew. While we were heading inside, my sister who wears a hijab joined us. Once they saw my sister, they stopped us and said that there are not available tables anymore. We couldn’t understand why we were being denied, and asked to go in again. They denied us again and we could not even enter the Restaurant, although there were many available tables and we were invited in before. At this day and age, this racist attitude is not acceptable. We are deeply disturbed by this experience, and would not recommend anyone to go to this place. If you have a restaurant in a city free as Amsterdam, you should do better and respect everyone.

The pizza was amazing, definitely one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten. Highly recommended! We got two pizzas to go, which were ready within 10 minutes. So, I can't say much about the service, but the staff who took our order were very friendly.

My wife and I had a really unfortunate experience at Pizza Perla today. We were absolutely disgusted by what we witnessed. There was a lady who came in on her own just to have a simple meal, and the way the staff treated her was downright awful. They were rude, they were arrogant, and they didn’t help her at all. She even tried to share some polite feedback with them, and instead of apologizing or even listening, they just complained about how the owner treats them badly and how they’re underpaid and tired. In the end, that poor lady left without even eating, and honestly, if I were the owner, I would fire those two staff members on the spot. This was just completely unacceptable.

I’ve visited this pizzeria restaurant several times before. The pizza has always been good, and that’s what kept me coming back—despite the fact that service was never really the strong point here. But during my most recent visit, the service crossed a line from disorganized into outright disrespectful, and that made it impossible to enjoy the evening. I had initially tried to make a reservation for one a table online, and the system offered multiple open time slots, starting from just 15 minutes after I checked. That gave me the impression that the restaurant wasn’t full, so I decided to head there directly. Upon arrival, the waiter at the entrance told me that no tables were available and that the only option was to sit at the bar. However, when I tried to access the bar, I physically couldn’t get through—the tables were arranged so tightly that it was impossible to pass without disturbing seated guests. I returned to the same waiter and asked if I could sit at a nearby empty table in a space across and even checked with him whether it is still the same restaurant. Without explanation, he told me I could, so I sat down. What he didn’t mention is that the table belonged to the takeaway area, which functions with self-service, does not allow alcohol, and is treated as a separate space. I only found this out when, after being ignored for some time, I approached the kitchen staff and was met with sharp words, frustrated tone, and barely concealed mockery. No one—not the waiter, nor anyone else—had explained any of this in advance. And instead of calmly clarifying the rules, they chose to treat me like a nuisance. I remained polite throughout, despite being clearly confused by the inconsistent communication. Still wanting to enjoy a proper dinner, I returned to the main restaurant to speak again with the same waiter. I calmly gave him feedback, and hoped to find a solution—ideally to stay, order a pizza, and have a glass of wine. But instead of being met with understanding or even basic professionalism, the waiter was dismissive and reactive, escalating the conflict rather than resolving it. Eventually, when we seemed to be finding common ground, another staff member approached—not to help, but to accuse and belittle me further, using a tone and words that were wholly inappropriate toward a customer simply asking for clear communication and a fair solution. I’m writing this directly to those involved in the hope that it leads to some reflection. As a guest, I didn’t expect perfection—but I did expect basic hospitality: a clear explanation of where I could sit, support in navigating a physically inaccessible space, and above all, respectful treatment. If your team is unable or unwilling to communicate these things calmly, then a serious conversation about staff training and accountability is in order. I ended up leaving, and now, as I sit in another pizzeria just a few minutes away—where I was greeted with a smile, seated without fuss, and served both great food and genuine warmth—I’m reminded that hospitality is not just about the food on the plate. It’s about how you make people feel. And unfortunately, this evening, you made me feel unwelcome.

Good pizzeria but nothing exceptional, you can find better in Amsterdam for this price

It got cold after the boat ride, so we went into a nearby shop. The Margherita was great. The minestrone was also warm and delicious. If it were in my neighborhood, I'd definitely go there again. Thank you for the delicious memories.

Not a pleasant experience at all. We waited over 40 minutes for one pizza while tables that came after us got theirs first. Our waiter was not around at all after he took our order & never checked on us. We had to find him and ask if our pizza was coming - he then proceeded to go to the POS system and punch it in. Although the pizza was good the terrible service overshadowed & ruined the experience.

I went to eat pasta, but since they weren't serving pasta for dinner, I had pizza and salad. I wasn't expecting much, but the salad was really delicious, and so was the pizza! It's even better with chili oil!

My wife and I returned eight years after our first visit, and it was a testament to our experience! As I told the staff the other night, we thought it was the best pizza we'd ever eaten, even in Italy.

It's a pizzeria a bit above average for Amsterdam. The prices are also a bit higher. It's comprised of two shops facing each other: a bakery on one side and a restaurant on the other. The pizzas are for one and a half people, but if you're not too hungry, they'll serve two.

We had a very disappointing experience here as a family with our 5-month-old baby. While we appreciated being accommodated inside with our pram without a reservation and the pizza was decent, the customer service was honestly unacceptable. After waiting nearly 50 minutes and noticing several tables come and go, we finally asked about our order, only to be told it was never put through. Even worse, the waitress hadn’t written it down and had to ask us again what we ordered. Once it finally arrived (about 10 minutes later), we ate quickly, only to wait another 10 minutes just to get the bill. No real apology, no offer to compensate for the inconvenience… just a brief “sorry” and the full bill. All of this with a cranky baby in tow, trying not to overstay. It might’ve been a busy night, but forgetting a customer’s order entirely and showing so little accountability isn’t something I can overlook.

The pizza was great but the service was a letdown. Came in on time for our reservation but had to wait outside for 20-25 mins. Was then offered free drinks which eventually ended up on the bill anyway. I’m sure it was a genuine mistake but still made for a suboptimal customer experience. Hope the learn from mistakes and improve in the future.

We happened to walk past it. What luck! They serve delicious pizzas here. The menu is limited, but the pizzas are truly excellent. The restaurant is small, and luckily they had a table for us. The pizzas are baked across the street in a wood-fired oven.

They have one of the best pizze I've ever eaten! I was searching for food near the area, and this caught my attention for its seemingly authentic look, and I was not disappointed at all. The staff are all super friendly too, and I would recommend this place to any pizza lover.

The pizza was cooked in a stone oven and it was crispy with good quality ingredients. I gave 3 stars due to waiting hours. After we sat down we waited like 1 hour for pizza to come. I was so hungry and it was too long for me. Maybe when you are hungry, it is bettee to sit down at the eat&go part of the place which is just across. It is cosy place and staff waa helpfull and they speak good English.

I had a tasty and crispy thin dough pizza at La Perla. I recommend it for those who enjoy an authentic Italian pizza.

While the pizza might be fantastic, the service isn't. The chef constantly yells at both staff and customers. One of the employees said he couldn't find my order and that he'd check where it was. When I asked after more than twenty minutes if my order had been found, the chef yelled at me because I'd only waited 20 minutes but had already asked for pizza four times. 😂😂 What a jerk! Even when I explained that wasn't true and why I was asking, he snapped. Random people get priority, while others wait for over an hour and a half. I would only go here if you're willing to sit quietly on a stool and wait for a good pizza.

Really good Neapolitan style pizza. They have a sit down restaurant as well as a smaller, to-go place across the street (which also has limited bar style seating). We got 3 take away pizzas, including a margharita, a prosciutto and a sausage pizza. All were very good. Recommended.

La Perla in Amsterdam is my go-to pizza spot and easily one of the best in the city! Their salami pizza is to die for. The ingredients are always super fresh, and you can really taste the quality in every bite. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. If you’re in Amsterdam and love great pizza, La Perla is a must.

Had lunch here while visiting the city and I’m so glad I found this place. The menu was simple but had something for everyone. I tried the chicken shawarma wrap and it was fantastic — tender meat, fresh veggies, and a perfect garlic sauce. The owner even came to ask how our meal was. That personal touch really stood out. Will definitely be back next time.

I got the Quattro Formaggi pizza and and my God the dough was beautifully charred yet it still retained its fluffy interior, the. Sauce had depth to it and the sheer quality of the cheeses truly brought it all together 10/10 would most definitely recommend this place
