Great place with amazing authentic italian pizza's.

Great place with real Italians. What more can I say?

I've been going to La Piazza my whole life. Well, we almost always get takeout. The pizzas have always been delicious, and I decided to try the restaurant again. After waiting almost an hour and a half, our pizza finally arrived! It quickly became clear that takeout customers were given preference. They could pick up their pizza right away, while the people in the restaurant kept waiting. Pizza after pizza was baked... but not for us. The worst part is that they even dare to charge a "service charge" for it when you're sitting in the restaurant itself. Where is that service then? You're treated like a second-class customer! The pizzas aren't expensive, so instead of calling it a service charge, they might as well just include it in the cost of the dishes; that would feel less of a blow.

Always busy because it's tasty and affordable.

Ate here with a group, the dough of a few pizzas was still raw on the inside (something I really don't think is acceptable at an Italian restaurant). Paying extra per person for cutlery is a bit strange in the Netherlands. Service was OK and atmosphere was fine. In short, if you really want Italian food, I would skip this restaurant. (Snackwurst on a pizza and cream in carbonara sauce... no thanks!) Ps. Revision, sausage on pizza is indeed a thing in Italy, Apologies.

We are staying in a hotel nearby and were looking for a place to eat. We had a delicious meal, great service and very good prices! Definitely recommended. If there are groups, it is noisy. Fortunately, we were allowed to move to another table so that it bothered us less.

Spent a weekend in Helmond and visited this restaurant. Warm and friendly welcome. Huge menu for pizzas. Very tasty meal! A pizza, just as a pizza should be: nice base, good taste, not terribly salty. Well done as far as we're concerned. Staff was very friendly and pleasant. We will definitely come back!

Delicious pizzas, pastas and anti-pastas for not too much money.

We ate at La Piazza for the first time yesterday and we really enjoyed it. It was quite busy on a Friday evening. The service was very friendly and the dishes tasted excellent. The bill was very friendly afterwards. We will definitely come back here!!!

We were able to make a reservation here quite late after a visit to Toverland. We were warmly welcomed by the host and given a nice seat next to the kitchen where we could watch the preparation of the pizzas. The food and service were excellent! Cozy atmosphere.

We made a reservation a week ago for a table of 12 people. However, upon arrival we were assigned three separate tables, which were not allowed to be pushed together. This in itself was frustrating, but to our surprise there was a table for two next to us that was not reserved. Yet we were not allowed to move it, because “it might still be needed”. What made it worse was that there were plenty of other tables available in the restaurant. Instead of thinking about a solution, the staff responded rigidly and unfriendly. There was no effort whatsoever to provide us with a pleasant experience. We will never come back here, not even to order. We will also share our disappointing experience with others so they know what to expect. We would like to clarify some points, because there are some things that do not correspond to our experience. 1. Communication in advance When making the telephone reservation for 12 people, it was not indicated that a large table was not possible. We would have liked to have known this in advance. It would have saved us the disappointment and frustration on the spot. Instead, we were only confronted with the arrangement of three separate tables upon arrival, without prior warning. 2. Response of the staff on site When we indicated to the woman who showed us the tables that we wanted to join the tables, it was not indicated that this was not allowed. Only later, when we had moved ourselves, were we told that this was not allowed. Moreover, no clear explanation was given as to why this was the case, which made the situation even more confusing. 3. Table of two people In your response you indicate that this table was "promised", but yesterday we were explicitly told that it was being kept available for any future guests. This is contradictory and calls into question the actual situation. 4. Consult with the owner We immediately asked for the owner, but he turned out to be unavailable. We then asked the young man who helped us to consult with you, the owner. He returned and indicated that moving tables was not possible after consultation with the boss. Now we hear in your response that no consultation with the owner took place, which suggests that we were given incorrect information. This makes the situation even more disappointing. We regret that you suggest that we "consciously" leave negative reviews. Our goal was simply to share our experience honestly and highlight areas for improvement. Cozy and attractive restaurant. A real Italian traittoria. The food is delicious!! The staff is very hospitable!

We wanted to have a nice meal here with the whole family. Unfortunately, they were not hospitable or cooperative at all. Despite the reservation specifically for a table, we did not receive this even though this was promised over the telephone. Unfortunately, the staff plus the boss could not make an exception with moving the tables because it would be difficult for them to reach them. We will never come back here again. It's a shame about this downer on my birthday, we will pass the word on to our acquaintances. Very, very disappointed.

I had such a delicious meal here for a great price and what lovely staff, so friendly and helpful, I would love to come back here and recommend La Piazza to everyone!

The pizza dough is tasty. Price is very good. Friendly staff. atmosphere is very cozy. Recommended.

Very tasty pizzas, but incredibly bad service. Several times we have arrived to pick up the pizzas, but they still had to be made at the agreed time. Or was it the wrong pizza and today it was even the case that I called when I arrived and they didn't know I had ordered so I had to wait.

Update after response: luckily I still have my receipt that does indeed show the prices I indicate. Also, these costs, except for the gorgonzala, are not on the OLD menu. And no apology was made (only an explanation of the old menu), you were talking in the kitchen and were not part of this conversation. Please never contradict a customer! And despite this, I will still eat with you, because the food is not the issue. The service, on the other hand... You could always go there for tasty Italian pizzas and pastas for a reasonable price. But here too they suffer from higher prices, which have to be passed on to the customer. Understandable, but what doesn't rhyme is that you pay more at the cash register than you see on the menu. When I pointed this out, it was said that there were still old menus outside on the terrace, because there had not been time to remove them yet. Doesn't seem like something from yesterday to me. Only the dessert has already been increased from €4 to €6 and for the parmesan cheese you pay €2.50 extra. We did not ask for the cheese, it was added extra. Garlic added €2.50 extra, these extra costs are not on the price list and are not mentioned by the waitress. Unfortunately, nothing was done to compensate or apologize... It all seems very obvious because it is still good food for a decent price, but I don't think it's fair and I wouldn't accept this at another (more exclusive) restaurant...

Tasty Italian pizzas for a very reasonable price. Diavola is highly recommended if you like something spicy!

Unbelievable price and food. Even cheaper than Italy, I think. The cost-effectiveness was great. This is my first time seeing prices like this in the Netherlands. I highly recommend Caljon's Pizza. All of the pastas are above average. No credit cards accepted, only debit cards or cash.

I can recommend the pizza with a clear conscience, but it's better to prepare the pasta yourself. I ordered the pasta from an Italian restaurant, I thought it would be much better, little taste, little meat, little sauce, little pasta

Good food, very decent price. They charge a small amount for service/crockery to make a difference with those who drop out, which I find acceptable, but I think 5 euros for a carafe of water if you also order other drinks is ridiculous.

One of the best pizzerias in Helmond. I would prefer to give a lower score than 5 stars, just to ensure that it doesn't become busier than it already is, but that wouldn't be fair. Delicious real Italian pizzas, made by real Italians. With a real Italian beer or wine, wonderfully authentic. They don't deliver, but you can pick up.

Niet al te groot knus restaurant. Waar we hartelijk ontvangen werden. Eenmaal aan tafel werden we snel en goed geholpen. Hebben niet lang op ons eten hoeven wachten, en smaakte voortreffelijk. Komen nog zeker terug.

We went here during easter with 8 people because of a canoepolo tournament in Helmond. The service and food was so good that we reserved again the following day. A variety of different pizza and pasta dishes as well as nice starters. The pizza was very nice and the pasta perfectly al dente. We recommend this restaurant to anyone. Kanupolo Zürich
