We love this place. The pizza is amazing, and the people are very friendly. We come here at least twice a month. We recently tried the lasagna and we were happy with our decision. Also option to order pizzas to go.

Terrible food, very badly managed place while we were eating the pizza chef went out to smoke without washing his hands and came in to make pizzas fortunately the welcome was good only for the girl Maria but for the rest I wouldn't go back even for free learn to manage the restaurants I strongly advise you not to go there!

Was absolutely delicious and they were able to fit us in early with ample time before we had to give up our table. The burrata tomato salad and focaccia was yummy, followed by the eggplant dish for me and carbonara for my husband.

My wife (Peggy) and I had dinner twice in this place within a week. We enjoyed our pizza. We enjoyed the service as well as chatting with the chef who made the pizza by himself. You can request how the pizza to be made. For example, we like our pizza to be crippy. They will cook the pizza a bit long to make it crisppy. We also enjoy the atmosphere of the restaurant. We will be back more often. We high recommend this place who like quality pizza.

The best pizza I’ve ever had! I got the “Mr. White, very good portion. Bruschetta was delicious, too. The servers were attentive and lovely. The cooks were joyous and so much fun. Tried limoncello for the first time and it was so yummy! Would recommend making a reservation - tables are limited and it’s easy to spend 2 hours here enjoying the atmosphere and company. I’m from Texas and sad to not have La Piccola Baracca back home. If you visit Amsterdam, make sure you visit!

Beautiful place and best pizza

Maybe eating in the restaurant is a completely different experience, but I wouldn't recommend picking up food from here. We ordered two main courses, a pizza margherita and the Parmiggiana di melanzana for 30 euros. After picking it up we all had to cross the street to get home. When we opened the pizza box we saw a lousy pizza with a lot of moisture on it (see photo). Furthermore, there was no taste to it, we only had a few bites of this. The melanzana was fine but very little. Again, maybe it's different when you're in the restaurant, but I won't be getting takeout from here again.

Two excellent pizzas (especially Tarzan) and two glasses of nice wine for under 50 euros. Service was very fast and friendly. Highly recommended!

Unbelievable pizza, very personable hosts

Tonno pizza was great! The atmosphere was also very welcoming - the staff seemed to be having a lot of fun and they were friendly. The price is reasonable as well. It smelled like gasoline inside which wasn’t ideal though. I also wish the bruschetta bread was cut a little thinner.

The service is really nice but they confused one of our starters, and when they changed it, again something different to the menu arrived. They said they had no more ricotta (which was the main ingredient of that starter)… I would have expected them to tell us before hand. All 4 cheeses they displayed on the menu were not present in what we’ve received. We ended up eating it because we were hungry and didn’t want to send it back for the second time. Then when we wanted to pay, they “forgot” to apply the discount from the fork All in all, it’s a nice place I would go back but just be careful. If feels that if they can take advantage of you, they will.

We came across this restaurant through social deal. Super nice little Italian restaurant with a good Italian atmosphere, delicious pasta, definitely recommended and definitely worth a visit.

Always nice to discover a little piece of Italy abroad. Restaurant run by Apulians with a Tuscan pizza chef. But imagine what a beautiful mix, the result is an excellent pizza. Good and nice which doesn't hurt!

Ate pizzas with colleagues during the week. Delicious pizzas in Neapolitan style, with tasty soft dough and fresh ingredients. Wine was good too. The prices are also much better than the competitors in the area, so there is no doubt in my mind that I will come back!

Not the best experience, the table was not clean, the lasagna (bland in taste) had a hair in it. Pizza that should have been spicy wasn't spicy. The table was not set before the food was served... so plenty of room for improvement!

Muy bien, déjenme explicarles mi aventura en La Picolla Barraca. Llevó a mi hijo a comer pizza, ¿verdad? Pedimos un Margarita y un Philip. Fácil, ¿verdad? MAL. Nos dieron una Marinara y una Napoletana. Ahora, eso es strike one. Mi error fue no comprobar el pedido antes de salir. ¡Llegué a casa, y BAM! Pizzas equivocadas. No soy de los que desperdician comida, así que decidí comer lo que tenemos. Entonces noté que mi Margarita no tenía queso. ¡Una pizza Margarita sin queso! Es como un coche sin ruedas. Entonces, los llamo, y es como si estuviera hablando marciano. Después de una comedia de errores, el tipo finalmente me dice que vuelva para arreglarlo. Vuelvo al restaurante, y el mismo tipo que tomó mi pedido toma la pizza de mis manos sin siquiera lavar la suya! ¡Amigo, vamos! Él enojado echa un poco de mozzarella encima, la mete en el horno, quema la masa aún más, y me la devuelve con actitud. El tipo actuó como si me estuviera haciendo un favor. ¿En serio? Ahora, soy demasiado educado para hacer una escena, pero si dirigiera este lugar, estaría haciendo una pizza fresca para arreglar mi error. Chanced upon here when it was pouring with rain. It was a lovely find. Very welcoming proprietor. The pizzas are delicious. You can watch the dough being spun and the pizza going in the oven. Pleasant interior. Carbonara wasn’t on the menu as far as I could see but when I asked one was produced. It was equally delicious. My only gripe was that it was not very hot. It was retuned but still not very warm when it came back. The bowl was cold and this seems to have taken the heat out of it. It tasted lovely though. There is a good drinks selection including Italian beers and zero beer too. The price was very reasonable for a very authentic delicious meal. Despite my issue I would happily return.

Pizza was ok, topping just very little. But the music was stupidly loud and not atmospheric and the lady tried to put a bottle on the tab that was almost twice as expensive as the ones we got, probably because she thought we wouldn’t know the difference anyway. Don’t like that kind of trying to rip off customers so wouldn’t recommend.

One of the best pizza -contemporanea style- I have ever eaten in Amsterdam. Freshness of the ingredients, passion on kneading the dough and a different menu from standard pizzeria, makes this place a true gem in west. A cosy place 10 min away from Dam square. Highly recommended!

Les pizzas sont excellentes (garniture de qualité et pâte épaisse et moelleuse) et le personnel aux petits soins. La serveuse a même appelé le pizzaiolo en personne pour qu'il m'explique un élément de la carte. Le cadre est cosy, et les prix pas abusifs. Tiramisu excellent. Petit bémol: les couteaux à bouts ronds coupent difficilement les pizzas, un vrai couteau à pizza serait le bienvenu. Merci!

We have been there for dinner, the atmosphere is very comfortable and welcoming. Staff always smiling and so Italian vibes, we loved that so much. We had pizzas and tbh it was one of the best we had in Amsterdam so far following by delicious dessert. We also had chance to meet the Chef, he explained us the process of the pizza that we had and we loved the passion that he put in that. Lovely place, would definitely come back for more. By far the best pizza in Amsterdam. The pizzaiolo is super good and all the ingredients are delicious and very fresh. The place really gives you an Italian home vibe, and also the service is excellent.

We went to La Piccola Baracca for a Monday dinner. The service was quick and efficient, partially probably because there weren’t many customers at that time. The atmosphere in the restaurant is good, the toilets are fine too. The tables, however, are too high and you feel like you have the plate in your chin almost. Pizza was good, served fresh and hot. Ingredients tasted good. They serve Italian beer and have quite a wide selection of it. I wasn’t necessarily wowed by the taste of the pizza but it wasn’t bad. Proper 4 stars. The pizzas we had were Philip and Burrata - both recommended.

We were looking for a pizzeria near us. My partner is Italian but I am Spanish, by the look of the pizzas I was not very sure but I'm happy to have listened to him. The place was not crowded when we got there, it is not a fine dine restaurant but it really makes you feel like home. The waitress offered me a blanket because it was a bit chilly outside. She took care of us since the very beginning 🥰 We had a focaccia burrata and a pizza Salerno. Both of them were super tasty 👌🏽 The dough was well done and also well cooked. The amount of ingredients was perfect and you can tell that the pizzaiolo made our food with passion and love. My partner talked with him for a bit and first of all, he can tell he is a truly Italian soul and second that he is gentile e simpatico. In my own experience, the waitress has also the same characteristics and tries her best to treat their costumers like family. 🫶🏽 We finished the dinner with a great feeling and we are of course coming back soon!! Good job guys! ❤️

Perfekte Pizzen mit fluffigem Rand und tollem Belag. Als Nachspeise gab es ein ausgezeichnetes hausgemachtes Tiramisu und leckeren Limoncello. Großes Lob an den Pizzakoch, der auch für die tolle 80er-Jahre-Musik zuständig ist. :)
