La Place in Wijk 1 Binnenstad

You know you shouldn't expect quality at La Place, but dry ham sandwiches without sauce... put some sauce on them, it's not that hard, surely.

Delicious sandwich, but the matcha is the worst matcha I've ever tasted. I've been a barista myself and made matcha often, and this can't be classified as matcha at all! The color is a very light green and doesn't even taste like matcha; the oat milk is overpowering. Plus, you get a lot of ice cubes, and the glass is half-full. The matcha isn't even freshly made; it's added to the milk in a spray bottle. Very strange.

Great location with a large underground parking garage. The food is pricey, but the pastries and coffee are fresh and delicious. I left this review 7 years ago. Today I was here again with the family. It turned out to be terrible La Place. The food is even more expensive. €6.95 for a sandwich with half a filling. The vegetable soup is more like a bowl of water with raw vegetables. Tasteless. I reported this. The girl immediately went on the defensive, saying the soup was fresh and the vegetables had been cooking since morning. I got tomato soup as a replacement. If you're craving a sour bowl of pureed tomatoes, this soup is your favorite. No broth, no spices. All the extras have been removed; no cookie with your coffee or caramel cubes on your caramel macchiato. My last time here. It's only because I can give it one star to be able to post it, otherwise I wouldn't have given one.

What a disaster. The staff exudes sheer disinterest—no greeting, no effort, just sighs and wrong orders. And the customers? A collection of noisy, slowly strolling, staring figures with no self-awareness whatsoever. The atmosphere is like being stuck in a dull waiting room full of uninformed people. Absolutely never again.

OMG, I've rarely seen such a filthy place with disinterested staff. Several people have reported that the restroom is absolutely filthy and that there's no toilet paper; nothing is being done with it. The girl behind the counter leaves the restroom herself, doesn't flush, doesn't wash her hands, and is picking at a cake in the display case. It's very noisy, and the employees drop a lot of things. In my opinion, the staff is too young, and there's no manager present. The first and last time we've had a drink and a meal here.

Dirty toilets, broken hand dryer and paper towels

Rarely have I seen such a bunch of runners as the team that was on January 8th. I probably didn't eat there anymore, preferring to put away the Christmas decorations when you're bored.

Everyone knows that La Place is usually on the expensive side. However, you normally get quality in return. At this branch the sandwiches were old, sweaty cheese and that at 930 in the morning. What particularly impressed me is the staff. 4 strong people who do their best not to be the one to help you. It couldn't have been a good day. While there were 0 customers. My 3 stars have been rounded up.

I literally came in at 11 o'clock and asked for breakfast, the employee says no, that's not possible until 11, so I say why, yes, I don't have an egg anymore, ok, I look it up and literally an egg is optional, who says I want an egg after this? I only had a chicken sandwich because they were not customer friendly and the sandwich was just hard for me, no longer a place

Had a salmon sandwich with only 1 bite that actually contained salmon, the rest of the salmon could not be found. Almost all the sandwiches were gone without it being busy. The places where the food is stored are very dirty, especially the pans containing the soup. In addition, there were flies everywhere on the food. Really not recommended and way too expensive for what you get.

Delicious apple bun, good coffee and nice staff

La Place is not really a pleasant place to sit. Staff was grumpy. The pastry tastes great.

The food is fine, but a bit on the pricey side if you don't have a discount voucher. What I really don't like is the constant noise of pots and pans. Of course we have to work, but what a noise. I could hardly hear myself think 🤭.

Quite busy, but still managed to get a nice table. Previous customer had "forgotten" to put the remains in the karate collection box and employees on site were apparently not available. Bite-sized sandwiches with a tall glass of tea. Nothing wrong. Sandwiches with (too) little bite.

You are in DEVENTER and want to eat something quick, I recommend the La Place bar. You choose what you want.

One of my favorite establishments. Delicious cappuccino and apple pie with nuts are my weakness. The establishment is atmospheric. There is all the food. You can even eat soups. There are always a lot of people, sometimes you have to walk around a little and wait until tables become available, especially on weekends. The staff works hard and the service is fast.

Nicely located La Place restaurant, with a nice range of food, cold and warm. Friendly service.

Ik heb een lekker taartje op met appel, kaneel en mascarpone. De koffie vond ik persoonlijk een beetje te straf. De medewerksters waren vriendelijk en het restaurant vond ik sfeervol.

Rustige plek, lekkere koffie, muziek iets te hard.

Koffie en een 2 broodjes, alleen jammer dat ze geen mosterd hadden. De gele zakjes, die ik voor mosterd aanzag, waren honing

Hier alleen wat gedronken, dat smaakte prima. Service was ook goed. Wel vind ik de toiletten vies, veel stof en vuil, dit moet echt beter.

We bezochten la place altijd doen de V&D nog bestond, het eten was altijd erg lekker. Vind het nu wel mee vallen broodje smaakte oke, appeltaart met noten was ook niet zo lekker.

Aspergesoep en focaccia kip taugé heerlijk. Cappuccino standaard uit de automaat. Lieve serveerster achter de kassa. Zeker de moeite waard!

Prima plekje in de zon met een fijne koffie en koek. Jammer dat ze geen taart meer verkopen. Prima wc’s!

Had meer verwacht van een La Place

La place is niet meer wat het geweest was ten tijden van V&D

Leuke plek om even te lunchen of lekker koffie/cappuccino te drinken. Je kunt er gezellig zitten, maar mis wel een echte warme hap. Verder een ruime keuze in broodjes en focaccia's.

Ik kom graag bij de La Place restaurants; goed en voorspelbaar assortiment en fijne omgeving om ook wat te werken. In het leuke Deventer bleek een mooie vestiging te zijn op een mooie plek en met een fijn en actief team

Koffie is, ondanks de kant en klare automaten koffie, best goed. De apfelstrudel was lekker warm en heerlijk.

Net restaurant, schoon maar personeel ziet dat er geen bordjes staan neemt geen initiatief om dat neer te zetten, weinig keus qua broodjes.

Helaas was de koffie te koud en de tafel was niet schoongemaakt. En het broodje bevatte meer sla dan ham.

Even lekker zitten met een bakje koffie en een lekker stuk notentaart.

Mooie zaak met prima eten. Maar... Het personeel was ongeïnteresseerd en onvriendelijk. De vloeren waren intens smerig en dat was zeker niet van één keertje overslaan, want we waren er 's morgens en alles plakte en lag vol met kruimels en meer... De tafels waren niet schoon.

1 uur voor sluitingstijd werd alles al ingeruimd . Bijna niets meer te krijgen

Mooie La Place op een goede locatie. Net als alle andere La Place, waren de broodjes weer goed.

De koffie is erg prijzig de bediening was chagrijnig.

Leuke plek om te eten. Vers bereid en heerlijk gegeten.
