We disagree with some of the reviews. We were a group of 15, and everything was perfectly organized. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful Boxing Day. A small gift was given afterwards, which was a nice surprise. In short, we highly recommend it.

This was our second visit to a Zusje branch. The first was in Doetinchem, this time in Deventer. The selection of dishes is very extensive, all creatively and deliciously prepared. What was especially nice is that there's no time pressure on your visit and you can order as often as you like. Even with the very diverse food preferences in our family, there was something for everyone, from vegetarian to gluten-free.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We were initially seated in a spot that was a bit of a draft. After we pointed this out, we were escorted to another table where we could continue our meal. The food is delicious. The advantage of these kinds of restaurants is that you can easily try a new dish. I highly recommend the failed apple cake! At the end, I ordered fresh mint tea, which I thought could have used a bit more mint. Otherwise, we had a fantastic evening!

Some of the tapas dishes were just fine, but I found most of them less so, and the portions were very meager (see the photo of the spare ribs, and no, I didn't eat any of them; they were just delivered...). The dishes weren't all hot, including the soup and fries, which were lukewarm. Two people asked if we wanted a drink; otherwise, we had to ask for it ourselves. Finally, we ordered coffee, which we had to wait 25 minutes for. We had a pleasant evening, but it was a bit disappointing. I wouldn't go back there in a hurry.

For €42 per person, the quality of the food is below average. It tastes awful and is cold, not to mention the portion size. I ordered tenderloin pieces and received two mini pieces of meat. Please go elsewhere if you want a good meal.

After dining at 't Zusje in Apeldoorn, we were impressed by the atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the flavorful, lovingly served food. You won't find any of that in Deventer. It started right from the moment we arrived at the table: the host was a real jerk. Over the top, really unpleasant, and inappropriate. I think the whole upstairs felt the same way. The food was cold, tasteless, and when it was brought to the table, you just have to figure out who it's for. Drinks were also brought to the table, and you had to serve them yourself. The bottle of water was brought without glasses. It happens, he arrived with the glasses, his fingers in them. Coffee later, the two espressos were stone cold. The regular coffee didn't come with sugar or milk. Later, he brought 10g of sugar and 10g of milk, and an armful of cookies just thrown on the table. Even later, the coffee spoon arrived. A real disappointment, never again!

The food was fine, but the service was unfortunately disappointing. The staff shortage is also noticeable, as the attention to the guests was lacking. With better training or guidance for the staff, the experience would have been much more pleasant. It's a shame there was no Coke Zero and that the little boxes with the coffee were missing. Went out for dinner last Saturday... Bad experience with the service. We arrived at 4:30 PM and didn't get our first drinks until 5:00 PM; apparently, the staff was busy with everything but us. From the very first moment, the dishes went wrong: the fries were wrong, or the dishes didn't come with them. After asking three times where they were, the fries arrived without the dishes. I had to ask several times where my drinks were. The food was good, but the rest was a big letdown. Too bad.

I dined there with my family (7 people). We made a reservation in advance through the app. I mentioned it was for a birthday and that someone who was pregnant would be there. They ignored both of those points. I'm like... How do they check reservations there? The plates weren't collected until after three rounds, and the whole table was completely full. We were also the only ones in the restaurant besides two other couples, so it wasn't even that busy. The food was good, but it did cool down quickly.

Because our daughter received her foundation year diploma, we wanted to celebrate with a delicious meal at 't Zusje in Deventer. We had a reservation from 7:00 PM and were allowed until 11:00 PM, which was lovely! The hostess politely introduced herself, explained the concept, we ordered drinks, and then ordered our dishes. Nothing wrong with that. Until the five notes were gone, it was around 9:00 PM. We had been waiting for a while; no one was collecting, not even when the last dish arrived. It took longer and longer for a staff member to come to our side. Sure enough, there was someone there, and we asked for more notes. "Um... notes?" With a sigh... We got the feeling that wasn't desirable. We also asked for drinks ourselves. They were duly brought, and the person cleared the table next to us. "We asked for notes?" "I'll bring them in a minute," no apologies, no forgetting, or anything like that. That took a while again. We filled out the order form, and it was quickly brought. But it did take a bit longer for the food to arrive. Oh well... we have time. We filled out another order form, which was picked up after a while. And it took forever... People a bit further down the line were taking their orders themselves because no one else was coming to our section. They got their desserts fairly quickly afterward. But we didn't... because someone had ordered something hot? Okay, we'll wait a bit longer. Then a woman came, whom we hadn't seen before. Afterwards, we noticed that she was the only one who asked if we enjoyed our meal... As she took our glasses away, she said, "You're not getting any more drinks." We indicated that we had ordered something else. "It'll be here soon," she replied. After waiting another fifteen minutes and seeing no one else, except for a few other customers, we walked to the bar. There, a staff member came to ask if we wanted to pay. "Well, I actually wanted to say that we ordered something else, that we've been waiting for at least fifteen minutes and haven't seen anyone, and I don't know if the kitchen is still busy, but we really don't need it anymore..." She handed me the bill and ignored what I said... She also didn't ask if it was good or anything like that. Apparently, the staff all wanted to go home early tonight. It was around 10:15 PM. It's a shame the last part of the evening went like this. The food tasted good, not exceptional, but good... and we're big eaters, but we weren't really satisfied. Back home, I looked at the reviews of 't Zusje in Deventer, and unfortunately, we saw several negative reviews. A real shame... And that's why this review has been posted. We hope it will be taken into account so that other guests will have a different experience!

We went here for dinner tonight to celebrate a birthday, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We had to wait almost an hour for our first course. The tomato soup we ordered was cold, and when we pointed this out to the staff, they seemed unconcerned and did nothing about it. Later, the manager came by; we reported it again, but the soup was brought back, and we never saw it again. The rest of the food wasn't good either: the steak sandwiches were extremely salty and the portions were very small. Furthermore, it took ages to get our drinks, and we mostly just asked for them ourselves. All in all, it was a disappointing evening, especially for an occasion like a birthday. We won't be returning.

'T Zusje is a franchise chain. This particular restaurant served cold fries and overcooked dishes. We also had long wait times, waiting for them to fix mistakes in serving out dishes. At other restaurants of t' Zusje, the food was a lot better.

Mixed experience at 't Zusje Deventer To round off our vacation, we wanted to have dinner with the kids at 't Zusje in Deventer. Booking was easy, as always, and there was plenty of room to choose a child-friendly time. A year ago, the two of us had dined there and enjoyed it, so we chose Deventer again. However, after reading recent reviews, we were a bit hesitant: complaints about long wait times, low inventory, and grumpy staff were common. We left somewhat reluctantly anyway – the kids were eager. Upon arrival, we received a friendly welcome, drinks and explanations arrived quickly, and the children's cards were ready right away. The first round of dishes was on the table after about 10 minutes, but after that, the pace slowed considerably. Dishes arrived increasingly slowly, sometimes separately, and we had to ask for some orders three times. Our host apologized and even served the food himself. We saw the same thing happening around us. Our longest wait was almost 43 minutes. Surprisingly, at some tables, especially along walkways, it actually seemed to move quickly. Furthermore, some items were out of stock. Several times, the host came to tables to ask if they had ordered certain dishes, only to inform them that they were no longer available. For a restaurant like 't Zusje, this feels inappropriate. We also noticed that some dishes were damaged or even partially broken – sloppy for a restaurant that relies on heavily used tableware. Positive: the children enjoyed themselves, and the dishes we received were good. We didn't receive burnt or bad food, as other reviews sometimes mention. Conclusion: Our previous experience at 't Zusje Deventer was clearly better. This time, the price-quality ratio was unbalanced due to the long wait times, limited inventory, and sloppy details.

I just ate here and ordered the unlimited food package, but it turned out not to be all that unlimited. After an hour and a half, I only received one round of food, which is completely unacceptable. There were also a lot of minor issues, like the loud music and mistakes about the one order I placed and which food was available and which wasn't. The food itself was okay, but certainly not great, and definitely not worth the hour and a half wait. In short, terrible, not recommended, I'll never be back.

The food was delicious. We made a reservation in advance, and the food arrived quickly because there were only a few people there. When it got busier, the dishes took a little longer to arrive, but that wasn't a problem.

On recommendation, I finally made a reservation at this restaurant. It was supposed to be a real experience, not just your standard "food sheds." Well, that's true. The price might seem a bit high at first glance, but where else can you get less these days? It has to be said, it's worth it. Indeed, from start to finish, everything was perfect. Good dishes, often with a twist, which often turn out exceptionally well, but sometimes not at all. Sometimes it takes a bit longer for the receipt to be collected, just like for the drinks to be delivered. But there's probably a philosophy behind that. We had a wonderful evening, literally and figuratively, and will definitely be back. One caveat: despite the whole story on the website, it's ridiculous that they charge a hefty fee for tap water (which it ultimately is, despite the "nice" story). Actually, that's a major drawback.
