We managed to get a table for two on a Friday evening, even without a reservation. We had a lovely time, but most importantly, the food was delicious! Friendly staff.

The food was okay, but I received several fried dishes and rösti rounds soaked in grease. The service was simply not good. A waiter who was constantly very present and made 'jokes' about everything. A waitress who rattled off the dishes from the tray and dropped the food on the table. As a result, several dishes ended up crooked in a heap on the plate, with sauce all over the menu/placemat. Naturally, not a single apology. Then I received a request for a review via the Zusje app, went through the whole process, and then just casually got the message 'something went wrong'. I gave up after three attempts. This has all been much better; they won't be seeing me here again anytime soon.

The food was of very poor quality; the poached egg was a hard-boiled egg, for example. The service was very bad. The whole process took over 3.5 hours. At one point, we had to wait at least 30 minutes for the menus to be fetched, while the waiter was doing nothing behind the bar. Then the wrong order came through; dishes intended for other tables were brought to our table. The atmosphere is terrible, but the decor of the room makes me give it an extra star. Otherwise, it was loud, busy, and overcrowded. I filed a complaint that was never followed up. Avoid this chain, or at least this branch.

We ate in Deventer after recently visiting Zutphen. It was really much worse than Zutphen. Our hostess was very nice. There was a woman walking around whom we thought was the manager, who was complaining about the staff the whole time. We didn't think that was acceptable. The food was reasonably good. The meat was occasionally burnt or overcooked. We will not be coming back here.

Not tasty. Food lukewarm, clearly not fresh. A real disappointment in terms of food. Staff friendly though. Tables outside dirty, no napkins, you have to keep the cutlery on the dirty table.

The food was tasty. Unfortunately, they had forgotten the sandwiches. Sadly, they had also forgotten to let the kitchen know that the dessert could be served. The service was good, though. Waiters had to walk a lot and quite far. There were three of them, and apparently there was only one person in the kitchen. The atmosphere was nice. 't Zusje is located right on the edge of the city center, and it was nice and quiet there. Because when we went, there was a book market. So it was very busy in the center.

I have eaten at ‘t Zusje several times in the meantime. I was never that enthusiastic about the food and service, but that was a few years ago. The menu seems to have been well updated now, and the service appears to have improved as well. The food was tasty and tasted fresh, and the service was very hospitable. We didn't have to wait long; the food was already there. All in all, we had a nice and good evening.

Very poor service. I cannot judge the food; after waiting 1.5 hours, I paid for the drinks and left. The staff were asked several times if we wanted another drink or the menu, but received absolutely nothing of the sort. A shame, because it looks cozy.

The food was very tasty and the service friendly. There were also plenty of choices for vegetarians. Very good desserts were also available.

The entrance was not immediately easy to find; it should have been better signposted. You order via a card system. You tick off items per round. There are also options listed on the back. The staff hadn't looked at those themselves, so nothing was brought. The pear ice cream turned out to be an Ola ice cream on a stick wrapped in paper, served exactly as such. It was called a children's ice cream. This is not mentioned on the menu, and I found it far from restaurant-worthy.

We went to Zusje because we really wanted to try their unique tapas – and we were pleasantly surprised! The bill came to €120 (the set menu costs €41.90 per person, as far as I know), but we expected that, and it's not like you have to eat there every day. The food was absolutely delicious, and you could choose two dishes per round. Highly recommended! My personal favorite was the braised beef on rösti.

The service was very friendly, pleasant, and they took their time with us. Had a very nice evening!

The food was so delicious! We really enjoyed it immensely. We sat in the conservatory and it wasn't very busy there. Serving and clearing sometimes took a little longer, but it wasn't very bothersome. All in all, very satisfied.

We ended up there by chance to grab a quick bite to eat. We were the first guests in an otherwise empty establishment. So, we cannot judge the atmosphere. The menu consists of small dishes. Not postage stamps, like at some places, but breakfast plate size. However, it was tasty. Service was acceptable.

The food is interesting, due to the smaller, different dishes that allow you to try things out. Sometimes this works out fine, other times a little less so. The extra star goes to the atmosphere created by Melvin, among others. This highly skilled employee ensures, through his clear communication and overview of the various tables, that you can rely on the service, and his humor, especially towards our children, made for a lovely evening out at Zusje.

A couple of dishes didn't arrive :( but otherwise it was absolutely great!

We used to go more often when we still lived in Deventer; it was always great. Now we live further away, but we felt like going to Zusje Deventer again. We checked the reviews beforehand, and were shocked by the negative ones. We really thought, "This can't be true." We overcame our doubts, made a reservation anyway, and confirmed that evening that the reviews did not match our experience. It was AMAZING from start to finish. Both the selection of appetizers and the quality are TOP-NOTCH! The speed of the rounds was also perfect. The staff's dedication was very hospitable. In short: Thank you for the wonderful evening of Burgundian enjoyment!

However, we were seated in the conservatory, which was significantly less air-conditioned than the restaurant itself, and to be honest, it was unbearable. The staff also struggled with the heat. It's a real shame, because otherwise it's a nice place.

On a sisters' weekend with my sister. We were commemorating our deceased sister. By chance, we came across the restaurant Het Zusje. It was very special for us to have lunch there with our sister in our thoughts. We had a delicious lunch and toasted with a lovely cocktail. The atmosphere was beautiful, and the service was nice and friendly.

Nice restaurant with a wide selection of appetizers, serving as starters, main courses, and desserts. You can choose two dishes per round. The size of the appetizers is reasonable, at least not too small.

We informed my wife about her onion allergy a few days in advance, and they brought over a list of everything containing onions and how we could order it without them. It was arranged perfectly, and the food was outstanding. We had heard many good stories beforehand, but not a word of it was untrue.

We sat here with our children and friends. The food was fine and the service was good too. What was a pity, however, was that the children were allowed to order from the kids' menu along with the adult menu. And they were supposed to eat for half price. At the end, we received the bill, and upon arriving home, it turned out that they had charged the children as adults. I called about this and got half back. Kudos! However, it also turned out that the children's price applied up to and including age 10. Our daughter (12 years old) had three mini sausages, a few fries, a slice of pizza, and a carpaccio, so she still had to pay €43. I find that very expensive and strange policy. I would have liked to have been better informed so they could handle this differently. You can also choose three dishes, for example, and then you would have paid €15. A shame.

Had a lovely 3-course menu at Deventer on a very quiet Whit Sunday afternoon. The food was good, and a nice cold drink was really needed! The staff were also super cheerful and pleasant to be around!

To be honest: to me, Restaurant ’t Zusje Deventer felt more like a food factory than a really good restaurant. It is mainly about ordering as many small bites as possible, while the quality and atmosphere didn't really leave a lasting impression on me. I do understand why it is popular; for large groups or people who mainly want a lot of choice, it works fine. But if you have a bit more to spend, there are plenty of other options in Deventer where you can eat much better and enjoy a better atmosphere.

The atmosphere was fine, but the service was very poor. At one point, we had to wait 45 minutes for just one round. Furthermore, the average waiting time per round was about 25 minutes. Very long for how little you are allowed to order. The food itself was fine, but nothing special.

We have been to t Zusje in Groningen together quite often. This time, we were at t Zusje in Deventer with our boys, aged 4 and 7, and it was a real treat for all four of us. We had a delicious meal and were able to eat in a relaxed and peaceful manner. Without realizing it, we were actually sitting at the table for almost 3 hours 😅 The food was delicious, the kids liked it too, and they even earned a bag of candy by handing in a t Zusje coloring page, which they then proceeded to hang up. A super fun experience, lovely dining, even with children 🫶🏽

We had a delicious meal, and the service was good and efficient. The wait between courses wasn't too bad. Benjamin, our host, was very quick, cleared the order slips fast, and was there in time to order new drinks. The food was very tasty and served at the right temperature.

We received a fantastic welcome. I had mentioned during the reservation that it was our 15th anniversary, and the staff paid attention to that that evening; it was wonderful. The table was decorated, and we received congratulations from the staff. We appreciated this enormously, and it contributed to a wonderful evening.

That was extraordinarily bad. The waiting times are dramatic. Perhaps a staff shortage, but those who are there are very busy talking to each other. No welcome and no send-off. After the meal, you have to find your way to the kitchen using the food slips on the floor. Very overpriced. Really very substandard! We have eaten here before and thought it was an isolated incident, but unfortunately, that was not the case. Again, considering the price, it was dramatic, but apart from that, it was very bad anyway. NEVER AGAIN, and that is my advice to everyone. DON'T DO IT!

It was our first time at ‘t Zusje (Deventer) with Melvin as host. We had a truly delicious meal, and it was great that the dishes were served so warm and at the same time! My boyfriend thought the pace could have been a bit faster regarding taking orders and serving, but I guess that is mainly a male thing 😉

A very nice location where you can feel the cozy and warm atmosphere as soon as you walk in. Hats off to the wait staff who constantly run up and down the stairs with the orders (when you are seated upstairs). In short: We will definitely be back.

We disagree with some of the reviews. We were a group of 15, and everything was perfectly organized. The service was quick and friendly, and the food was delicious. We had a wonderful Boxing Day. A small gift was given afterwards, which was a nice surprise. In short, we highly recommend it.

This was our second visit to a Zusje branch. The first was in Doetinchem, this time in Deventer. The selection of dishes is very extensive, all creatively and deliciously prepared. What was especially nice is that there's no time pressure on your visit and you can order as often as you like. Even with the very diverse food preferences in our family, there was something for everyone, from vegetarian to gluten-free.

The food was delicious. There's so much choice, which is what makes it so much fun! Something for everyone! 😊
