La Venezia in Wijk 06 Peelo

Don't order, shady business Accidentally placed an order at La Venezia Assen instead of La Venezia Winschoten. (No idea if they belong together; Winschoten is a fine place.) Called within half a minute to explain this. The employee indicated that he understood and would cancel the order immediately. Ten minutes later, nothing had been cancelled on Thuisbezorgd yet. Called again. After a brief consultation between the employees in their own language, I was assured for the second time that the cancellation had been arranged. Then nothing happens; the status suddenly changes to "in store" and not much later to "order collected". Apparently, you shouldn't expect them to honor agreements here. They just take a few tens of euros out of your pocket for a mistake that was reported within thirty seconds. The food itself is also far from special, by the way. A waste of money; you will never see me here again.

You can't call that a burger. It was poorly topped, had a pre-made patty, and the cheapest bun. It was the worst thing I've ever had to eat.

It has become very bad: small portions and soggy fries and pitta. The taste is also practically non-existent these days; I will not order from here again.

As part of the 'Give neighbors a chance' initiative, I chose La Venezia today. Italian Pizzeria is listed on the business. Ordered: 1x Special Carbonara Pizza Price: €14.50 + 0.25 (pay via iDEAL). A free can of drink was included for that price. I indicated the time and the pizza was ready right on time. It is a real takeaway place; I can't make anything more of it. Otherwise, it looked neat. There were four staff members behind the counter to serve my pizza. The can of drink was neatly placed in a small bag, including a container of garlic sauce (probably because the main product is shawarma sales?). Upon arriving home, I started eating the pizza. I cannot call it Italian (it's a real shawarma shop pizza). The ingredients listed on the menu were in it. But it lacked the overall flavor, something you really need in a pizza. I thought it tasted very much like dough (as if the dough wasn't fully cooked). Didn't finish the pizza. I gave them a fair chance, but unfortunately, I can't rate it more than 3 stars. It will remain a one-off experience, unfortunately. I have no other comments or criticisms regarding the staff (they were friendly).

I ordered a shawarma platter, it was tasty, but unfortunately I forgot to order extra garlic sauce, but the food was delivered neat and hot.

Ordered 3 pizzas. The edges of one of the pizzas were burnt. This could be better, hence the 2 stars. Well-topped. Great taste. Delivery time perfect.

We placed an order and then immediately cancelled after noticing that the delivery time was suddenly much longer. After cancelling, it was indicated that the order was on its way. We then called multiple times to inform them that we had cancelled, but no one answered. Subsequently, it was stated that the pizza had been delivered, even though that was not the case either. So don't order here, they are scammers.

We wanted to cancel the order, and that was possible. In the end, they came anyway, and we had to pay after all.

Really bad, potato slices not cooked through. Steak overcooked, just hard. Kapsalon also inedible because the potato slices were not cooked through, just really bad, everything ended up in the bin. 58 euros, very disappointing.

I ordered a pizza via the website, unfortunately a few things were missing, but it was resolved very well. I then received a new pizza and it was super tasty.

We're always satisfied with our orders from La Venezia, but when it's busy, it's a bit disappointing. Today we had to wait a long time again, and everything was cold! And not just cold, but really cold! Shriveled, cold fries, one too few fries, and a salad that was pathetic! €11 for wilted iceberg lettuce with tomato and mozzarella... so little and pathetic! We did, however, receive a new order immediately, no salad, but everything else was. So, 4 stars anyway, because the service is simply good! We'll keep ordering, but maybe not on Fridays!

I placed an order on Saturday, December 20th, at 7:00 PM. I placed the order from Dedemsvaart and apparently ended up at this pizzeria in Assen. This is strange, since I listed Dedemsvaart as my location. I immediately contacted the pizzeria to cancel the order, and Venezia agreed. I asked them to contact Thuisbezorgd, which I did, but to no avail. The payment will not be refunded, as Venezia claims to have already placed the order. @Venezia, could you issue the refund? Good, good food here 👍 did not know it completely in Peelo on the other side of Assen but pff really good food today shawarma dish really perfect hear 10+ a few days ago kofta also perfect 👍👍 better anywhere else here in the Assen center.. but really quickly visited also tasty salad WITH dressing 👍 highly recommended will definitely order more often Thanx La Verezia👍

After waiting almost two hours and calling twice, our pizzas finally arrived. They were cold and the dough was rubbery. The drinks we paid for weren't included. Really awful. The delivery driver didn't understand Dutch, so he called a colleague. He did all this in their own language, which didn't sound very friendly. The driver said we'd get a €10 refund, but we didn't receive anything. Tip: don't order from here!!!

If I could give the service more stars, I would! My friend ordered one pizza and one kapsalon at 11:15 PM... not knowing they were 60km away. :) Miraculously, these BEST ones arrived an hour later! A 45-minute drive and the food was still HOT. The kapsalon chicken is really good, and the pizza is delicious too. La Venezia YOU ARE AMAZING! And I'm sorry my friend made you drive for a total of 1.5 hours. :)

Bad service, wrong order. When I wanted to cancel because I had accidentally ordered here, that was not possible but I went ahead anyway. Wrong pizza. My mother didn't even have her shawarma sandwich and the delivery person wanted to give it to me. I grabbed the car keys and waited for the order to be correct. The only thing they said were a few words in their own language and those were not friendly words. The next day I had stomach problems because of the bad food. I was on the toilet more often than on the couch. I will never order from here again.

Had to wait way too long for my food, the delivery person didn't have half of it with them and when I spoke to them about it, they treated me very unfriendly, the chicken was very dry, the mayo was warm when it arrived and the fries were cold, I also got a warm coke that had been shaken so much that when I opened it, it ended up everywhere, in short, not worth repeating

The children and we love the takeaway pizzas here. They are richly topped, the ingredients have a lot of flavor and the pizzas are not overly spicy. Simply great. The price level is also certainly okay. The staff is always friendly when taking away and they work hard in the kitchen. The result is a delicious pizza that is ready on time without any fuss. We come here often, and I would definitely recommend this pizzeria to pick up fresh pizza. You can usually park your car for free near the entrance and, on top of that, there is also a free can of soft drink of your choice (a-brand) with the pizza, and an extra bowl of sauce is also included in the price. Experience concerns repeated collection; we have no experience with delivery. Tip: order the pizzas via the website, no separate app is required

We ordered food late in the evening. It was delivered quickly even though it is quite a long drive. The food was very tasty. The delivery person was very friendly.

Pizzas are always very tasty! Also friendly delivery people, delivery people who usually knock and do not press the bell loudly. That really stands out to me and I find it very pleasant. Pizzas are always richly topped, better than at other pizzerias. Sometimes it happens that the pizza is a bit lukewarm, but that is the only downside. The Döner sandwich and the Hawaiian sandwich also taste very good. Personally, I don't understand the negative reactions, I think it's highly recommended!

Tonight I picked up a hot chicken pizza and a pasta carbonara. The pizza was delicious to eat. While eating the pasta there were flies in the food. Really not recommended. I would rather have more meat of a different kind in my food instead of fly meat

Food arrived 20 minutes later than it was supposed to arrive. The delivery person pressed it into my hands and almost ran away. Food was not fresh and had almost no taste. And we didn't get the right drinks.

Ordered pasta and lasagna tonight. The lasagna was not very tasty: way too much cheese, lasagna sheets were barely visible. Fresh Italian bread was supposed to come with the pasta, but unfortunately it was not included. Called from the back and was asked if we still wanted to receive the bread or if it could be compensated for a next order. Indicated that we now wanted the bread with it. A few hours later we are still waiting :). I don't think I'll stay up for it any longer. Disappointed and sad :(.

The Calzone Döner was really black as you can see in the photo. And the extra mushrooms were also burnt black. I did eat some of it. But it is not worth repeating. The lasagna was also bland, with little minced meat in it and was stuck to the container.

When a star is far too good... The kebab pizza was gristly and I also found a few hairs. First time I threw away a pizza. Sad! But the driver was very nice.

Disappointing. A kapsalon with soggy potato slices is not very tasty. As far as I know, a hair salon should be served with fries. Also the extra ordered sauce and pita were not delivered. This is not the first time that the order has not been delivered complete. And of course you paid extra for it.

The pizza base was not baked properly, most of it was soft dough. After walking the dogs, I spent an hour on the toilet. Couldn't have been good. We will not order from here again.

Ordered food via home delivery. We were initially told via the app that it would take a little longer than indicated. Finally called after an hour. The food would have fallen, but the delivery person was already on his way with new food.
