Great place for casual but very tasty food!

We were very satisfied; the food was very good. The service was very friendly, and the atmosphere was very nice, small, and cozy.

Went with a friend and had a great time! The food was absolutely divine and the service was impeccable. The staff were all so friendly, and kind and the atmosphere was very lovely. Tried their wine and was definitely made a big time fan, it was the best wine I've ever had in a restaurant.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a cozy Italian dining experience. I’ve been with my parents and on another occasion with some friends, and everyone loved it! The food was absolutely delicious - authentic, fresh, and full of flavour (with GF options). The staff and owners are also very friendly and welcoming so we will definitely be coming back!

Went there for a dinner with friends and we spent an amazing dinner at this sweet Italian place in Groningen!! The dishes were delicious and the atmosphere was super welcoming and sweet!! The staff was extremely friendly and did everything to ensure our dinner would be a wonderful experience:))!

Great decor of the restaurant and amazing service, showing great hospitality. The food is delicious and I especially recommend the creamy mushroom pasta. It is a must-go for anyone in the area.

A truly pleasant discovery! L’Abbraccio is a pizzeria a bit outside of Groningen's city center, but it's definitely worth the extra few minutes to get there. The experience was very positive: the Italian owner, besides being extremely kind, is also very professional and attentive to detail. The pizza is thin, crispy, and well-cooked. The ingredients are high-quality, and you can also choose between gluten-free or spelt dough. A plus for beer lovers: here you can drink Poretti, an Italian beer that's very hard to find in the Netherlands, a detail that makes the experience even more authentic. The service is quite fast and courteous. In short: a pizzeria that exudes passion and authenticity. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a real Italian pizza in Groningen.

The Warren pizzas were delicious, well-filled on a tasty base. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was disappointing; it had too much mascarpone and not enough savoiardi; it felt like just mouthfuls of cream.

Good food in a beautiful space with lots of plants.

We went to this place for our anniversary. They took this into account and superised us in two of the courses. Our pasta was presented in heart shape and we had a small sparkle firework on our dessert. Food quality and taste was of course top tier and we look forward to visit them again to try the pizzas!!

Came into contact with this less prominently located restaurant through family. What a nice surprise this was! The food was really great and the service was friendly. The overall atmosphere felt like we were in Italy. The communication, interaction, the noise (in a positive sense), the smells, all great! We will definitely come back!

Great restaurant and pizzeria to visit with family. The pizzas were fantastic and everyone massively enjoyed them. It was very busy but the staff were working hard and it showed!

I went to dinner a couple of weeks ago with my partner and his father, and we loved it!!!!! The food is excellent, quality ingredients of Italian origin, delicious pasta dishes that fill you up but don't make you run out of the restaurant, and the pizzas are incredible. The presentation is also very careful, you can see that they put a lot of care and love into what they do. The atmosphere is a 10, the waiters are very friendly, especially Tomasso. The owners are charming, and if you know how to speak Italian you can surely have an entertaining conversation with them. I've been living in Groningen for two years and this is my new favorite restaurant!!

Dinner was offered to me for my birthday, we wanted to try something different. What a good choice! Delicious food, super tasty pizza, thin base, beautiful thin crust, tastefully topped. Chose the Peasana Gorgonzola. My table companions for a Tonno and the other also the Peasana. The torta della nonna is a nice ending to the dinner. Highly recommended!

Very nice Italian family restaurant. Every time I enter, I immediately feel the Italian hospitality. This is paired with a few delicious types of wine, which always contribute to a good conversation ;) and then you can eat the tastiest pizzas in all of Groningen. To finish, I can always enjoy a fantastic homemade tiramisu with a limoncello drink. I no longer live in Groningen, but almost every time I return, I have to eat here. Highly recommended!

Had the tastiest pizza in a long time yesterday. When I started reading the menu, I was already sold on the first pizza. It sounded wonderful, well it was. It is also a nice place to eat, not too big, just wonderfully friendly, pleasant service. The snack board is definitely recommended as a starter. So nothing but praise for the pizza, delicious! And the espresso at the end ✔️.

Ate 3 times, tried different dishes. I think it is very tasty, decently priced and friendly served. Compliment! My table companion takes the position that the carbonara was with cream instead of egg/parmesan. Didn't let me taste a bite so can't confirm this. I found his whining about it irritating. The decor is not ultra hip or cozy, just nice and fine! Take Roseetje with you, she's good.

Attentive friendly service and tasty food

Friends recommended this nice restaurant to us and invited us to a friends reunion. We chose Italian antipasti as a starter. Even though there were five of us, we chose a platter of antipasti for 3 people. What an amount of different snacks were on that shelf; gorgonzola, mozzarella, Parma ham with melon, various olives, salami, asparagus with creamy sauce. Very nicely presented. This together with delicious Italian sandwiches (a bit too salty in my opinion) As a main course, each has a delicious pizza. Good white prosecco and red wine. We were so full that there was no room in our bellies for dessert. At the invitation of the business we received a bottle of Limoncello as an apology because the waitress accidentally dropped a glass of red wine. The girl felt so guilty and sad, but since I worked in the catering industry for years, I reassured her and told her that this happens to every waitress/waiter. The service was excellent. We will definitely come back.

Ate at L'Abbraccio with my sister, brother and husband. The name does justice to the restaurant. A cozy Italian restaurant with friendly service and delicious food. I opted for a spaghetti aglio olio pepperoncino with prawns fried in white wine sauce. Yum... portion was just right. Not too much and not too little and enough prawns. For dessert I chose the tiramisu. You could tell it was made with love. A full soft taste. The others had a pizza (bolognese, paesana gorgonzola and frutti di mare). A pizza with a nice thin base and a not too thick crust, just as it should be. They were all very positive. The panacotta was also very tasty. We will definitely come back here again.

The restaurant is owned by a small Italian family who have put a lot of thought into their service. The staff is friendly and accommodating; much like the menu which offers vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free options, and kids portions as well. Nobody else in Groningen does it like L'Abbraccio. Highly Recommend!

Flavors are good. Price-quality ratio is not entirely correct considering the number of dishes. You don't get presented enough. Lasagna is an example of this. Pizza tasted great, but my pizza with eggplant had a few pieces/strips. Unfortunately my pizza was soggy in the middle. Warm cake with great taste. Presentation is beautiful. Unfortunately, the service couldn't handle the crowds, but it was friendly.

Last Saturday we had a delicious meal at l'Abbraccio. We know the family from Gieten from restaurant Bella Storia, where we regularly visited. Now received a very warm welcome again in Groningen and ate a perfect pizza as usual. We will definitely come back again.

This restaurant has a craft that I have not experienced in a long time, let alone here in the Netherlands. Definitely a perfect ratio between sauce and ingredients. My favorite pizza Carbonara, made in the original Italian way, perfect coagulation of the egg in proportion to the sauce and ingredients that certainly make the difference between the real craft of Carbonara, or something else. My compliments to the chef. The base was crispy and equally thick throughout the pizza. Thoroughly enjoyed this pleasant surprise.

Ik kom hier heel graag! De pizzabodems zijn dun en krokant met goede saus, en rijkelijk belegd. De pasta’s hebben een gebalanceerde saus/pasta verhouding en zijn echt lekker. Daarnaast is het personeel erg vriendelijk met hart voor de zaak! Ter afsluiting heb ik nog nooit zo’n lekkere tiramisu gehad als hier.

Aangenaam verrast! Heerlijke pizza, krokante, dunne bodem met verse ingrediënten belegd. Totaal niet vet, voor t eerst in m'n leven de hele pizza opgegeten. Tafelgenoten aten pasta en gnochi en die hebben ook hun vingers erbij opgegeten. Voor ons geen andere pizzeria meer. Top!!
