LAFFA - Utrechtsestraat is, for me, an embrace of city life. After working out. After working. Or just at a moment when I need tasty, good, and solid food. I walk over there. Grab my homemade lemonade. Stare out the window for a moment. And let the day slip by. The guys working there do a good job. They work hard, are sharp, always on the move, always busy with orders — no fuss. You can feel it. I’d rather eat here than order takeout at home. But that’s just me. So: if you *do* want to eat out, especially after working out or working, or if you simply don’t feel like cooking, then Laffa on Utrechtsestraat is just right. Honest food. Good energy. The city on pause. And if you enjoyed yourself, please remember to leave a tip.

Amazing shwarma!! The staff was so good and nice, my friend was drunk and threw up, but they were so understanding and kind they helped clean that all up with us and then still let us sit and eat the Shawarma that was amazing and the Shawarma was delicious. You could not have found a better place to sit and let a friend feel better

The spicy chicken wrap with added eggplant and labneh is one of the best wraps in the city. Great pickles too. Chicken is better than mix.

I ordered take away today. I ordered a chicken wrap and some homemade fries to go. If you are craving a wrap, you know where to go. Good price. The fries are thick-cut and juicy. The wrap was tasty, with a generous amount of filling.

I did not understand this place. I paid 12,50 for a Shawarma that was very underwhelming in taste as well as quality and quantity. On top I had an Ayran for 3,50 which was great in taste but again, not much more than several sips. Eventually, I ended up paying 16 euros and walked out hungry. That's 16 euros for a lunch that's not enough. Where have we gotten to?

You get a nice greeting when you come in and you can order yourself at a screen. Food arrives quickly and it smells really good; we had the falafel wrap with aubergine, omg AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS. We shared it and that is enough for 2 people. You can sit inside to eat it and it is cheap!! Really sooooo good

I ordered via Uber Eats yesterday and was very satisfied with the food. Even though the delivery was on the long side, I didn't mind, because the food was very tasty and I wasn't in a rush. I was so satisfied with the food that I ordered again via Uber Eats today and paid extra for priority for faster delivery this time, because I was in a hurry today. I was told that it would arrive in less than 40 minutes, as opposed to almost an hour to an hour and a half yesterday. After ordering, things seemed to be going normally until I noticed that I no longer had a clear view of the delivery driver after waiting 40 minutes. I waited another 10 minutes before calling the restaurant. I spoke with a man and explained that I was waiting for an order I had placed via Uber Eats but was still waiting for the food, even though I had paid for faster service, and I was wondering how far along the delivery driver was. The man responded that he didn't know, and when I asked him if he could perhaps tell me if the order was being delivered yet, he hung up the phone without an answer. Quite rude and rude. After the phone call, the delivery driver was back in view, having left me for another 10 minutes. When the food arrived, you could see that the quality had gone down. What I ordered wasn't the same as yesterday; that can happen and things don't always turn out the same way, but my order had almost no couscous in the chicken bowl and there was significantly less food in general included in this order. Also, cutlery that had been requested was missing. The longer wait wasn't ideal, but it can happen (although I did pay extra for faster service); even forgetting cutlery can happen sometimes. I did find the service, when asked about it, very unprofessional and unfriendly. It's a shame; the food is tasty, but with all the hassle today and the unfriendly service, it's just not worth it.

AMAZING FOOD Amazing manager, he was so fun to talk to and even offered me 2 homemade drinks a lemonade with elderflower and an ayran. I had a super good experience and ate a laffa deluxe I totally recommend it. For sure I will come back to eat again!

Absolutely amazing experience at Laffa! The laffa bread was warm, soft, and perfectly baked, wrapping the fillings beautifully. I tried the kebab wrap and it was juicy, well-seasoned, and paired perfectly with the homemade sauces. The ingredients tasted high quality, and everything was prepared with care. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick even though it was quite busy. Definitely one of the best street food spots in Amsterdam — I will 100% come back again!

Placed an order with Uber Eats and it's been almost 3h, nothing arrived. Whenever I call they just tell me they're busy and the order is on it's way, that it'll take 15min. Well it's been 12x 15min at this point already and we had to order something else. Never had such terrible service in my 12 years in Amsterdam.

This place is far from an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant. It feels more like a commercialized imitation than anything rooted in real tradition. The food is overpriced, the portions don’t match what you pay for, and the flavours don’t reflect the region they claim to represent. The staff seem disengaged and indifferent to what they’re serving or how long customers wait. Nothing about the experience shows respect for the Middle Eastern culinary tradition they’re trying to borrow from. Overall, it comes across as a shallow, overpriced knock-off rather than a genuine taste of Middle Eastern culture.

The Laffa restaurant in Amsterdam is generally nice, the food was okay, but my experience wasn't quite perfect. My order was initially incomplete, and I had to point out that something was missing – but it was quickly refilled. The price is significantly higher than what I'm used to in other cities. A kebab with a drink costs around €20 here, whereas it usually costs €8-11. Whether that's due to Amsterdam in general or this restaurant specifically, I can't say. So overall, it's okay, but a bit too expensive for my taste, considering the value.

The best in the West for Arabic food

I don’t recommend this place, the wraps were very dry and the mayonnaise just ruins the whole thing. On top of that, we had to wait 45min for our food because the person working there only realized he didn’t have our ticket until the 3rd time we came to him to check on our order.

Was served raw chicken thighs. Lamb was dry. The bread of the wrap was good and perfectly toasted, that's about the only good thing. Service was also nice. Shame that the quality of the food is absolutely disgusting and caused food poisoning.
