This place is far from an authentic Middle Eastern restaurant. It feels more like a commercialized imitation than anything rooted in real tradition. The food is overpriced, the portions don’t match what you pay for, and the flavours don’t reflect the region they claim to represent. The staff seem disengaged and indifferent to what they’re serving or how long customers wait. Nothing about the experience shows respect for the Middle Eastern culinary tradition they’re trying to borrow from. Overall, it comes across as a shallow, overpriced knock-off rather than a genuine taste of Middle Eastern culture.

Disappointment. Tasty, but what a pathetically filled bowl. Very little food. Barely enough as a starter. And that for almost €20.

The Laffa restaurant in Amsterdam is generally nice, the food was okay, but my experience wasn't quite perfect. My order was initially incomplete, and I had to point out that something was missing – but it was quickly refilled. The price is significantly higher than what I'm used to in other cities. A kebab with a drink costs around €20 here, whereas it usually costs €8-11. Whether that's due to Amsterdam in general or this restaurant specifically, I can't say. So overall, it's okay, but a bit too expensive for my taste, considering the value.

The best in the West for Arabic food

I don’t recommend this place, the wraps were very dry and the mayonnaise just ruins the whole thing. On top of that, we had to wait 45min for our food because the person working there only realized he didn’t have our ticket until the 3rd time we came to him to check on our order.

The deluxe falafel is amazing ! The laffa wrap is super tasty and the flavour combinations are very well thought out. For the price, the portion is very filling !

Was served raw chicken thighs. Lamb was dry. The bread of the wrap was good and perfectly toasted, that's about the only good thing. Service was also nice. Shame that the quality of the food is absolutely disgusting and caused food poisoning.

The best falafel i have ever eaten honestly. The sauce is ideally balanced and there is no talk about it being dry. It’s so moist and fragrant and deep. 10/10 recommend the falafel wrap!

They make everything from scratch here, from the bread till the sauces. We tried the lamb & beef kebab, steak and vegetarian option, and ohh man we were full afterwards..The wraps are the size of your lower arm! Great for before and/or after a night out. Remember.. when the chef tells you which sauce is spicy, they mean it IS actually spicy. Not tingly or zesty... SPICY (in the best way obviously). They also do takeaway 💪.

First I was scammed and the next day I had diarrhea. It couldn't be worse! Ordered Shawarma Deluxe for €12.50 and got a catastrophic falafel. Went to sleep with a stomach ache and had diarrhea the next morning. If you want bad food and stomach cramps, this is the place for you! Otherwise, avoid at all costs. Never experienced anything like this

I ordered royal falafel and a shawarma deluxe for a total of €24 (!!) and were given two packaged dishes with the respective stickers. Only later, when we unpacked the wraps, did we realize that we had been given two normal dry falafel wraps, which you can get for €5 at any kebab shop. pure waste of money!

Absolutely terrible experience. We ordered one Shawarma Deluxe and one Royal Falafel to go – instead, we received two completely dry falafel wraps with not even a sign of the “royal ” components we paid for. We were charged 24 euros for what felt like a scam. The food quality was awful but what made it even worse was the unprofessional behavior of the staff. The people behind the counter were unserious and dismissive. They were speaking to each other in Arabic, laughing, and making comments that made us feel mocked and disrespected as customers. It was as if they were joking about ripping us off right in front of us. This place operates with zero transparency or care for the customer. The entire experience felt shady and dishonest. I rarely leave negative reviews, but this was one of the worst food experiences I’ve ever had – both in terms of quality and how we were treated. Avoid this place at all costs.There are so many better shawarma or falafel spots in Amsterdam. Guys don't waste your money here.

Awful experience, we waited 20 min for a chicken and mixed shawarma wrap. Finally got them and went home to discover they were both falafel. Incredibly deceptive- they marked them as chicken and mixed and knew they were giving us falafel!

Small shop. Nice interior. You can order at ordering kiosk/screen. Food is superrr. We had wraps: very filling and good flavour. Bowl was big too. Worth the money. Fries are big, more like an piece of potato, but superrr nicely spiced, nice amount of salt. Very kind server.

The food is top notch every time! The price-quality ratio is excellent. In addition, the men who work there are very friendly.

Staff is super friendly. The swarma rolls are super tasty. The only downside is that I find them a bit small. The price is also a bit higher then a average kebab shop, but this is understandable as the quality is much higher. One roll costs 10-14€.

Great alternative if you don't want to spend 35€+ in the city center in a tourist trap. The food was great, the service with a smile, and the sauces... damn the sauces were delicious! Mr Laffa, what a sauce! Recommended. In the picture the shawarma, but I was slow and I took the picture only when finished. But trust me, it was great.

I don’t understand how this food shop has such good reviews. A few days ago, I went there with my friend, and when we tried to order, the Lebanese guy with a beard, who was making the bread, looked rude when I asked something. We waited 20 minutes for our food, and when we finally got it, the chicken was raw.I have never had a chicken sandwich like this before. My friend ordered the royal falafel, but it was missing eggplants. On top of that, the kitchen was super dirty! Does no one train these staff members, or are they the owners themselves? Total waste of money.

This food is really very bad I had better further down in Utrechtsestraat at a real Lebanese Street Food tent buy good food I spent 35 at Ubereats and I have never eaten such bad lapness my own chicken and your beef It is both very dry chicken.... It is very worthless no fresh products at all all in a sauce already enlarging that gives you stomach acid it would be a shame if this tent recently started selling Lebanese street food while there is food on the canal further down the Utrechtsestraat and really lebanesestraat food tent has been around for 15 years. This was made by people who don't like food...

Laffa should be ashamed of the humus. Rarely have I seen such tasteless rubbish.

For the first time, I wish for a zero star rating. Biggest regret of any choice I ever made and without overdoing it. Avoid at all costs.

A great discovery! The laffas were delicious and generously served. The staff was very pleasant and smiling. I recommend without hesitation! Small suggestion for the chef: cutting the chicken into slightly smaller pieces would make the laffa even easier to enjoy.

The place is small but cozy. It doesn't give off Middle Eastern vibe, but it's nice. The shawarma classic is not classic at all, it's so different I don't think it should even be called a shawarma, they could have gave it a different name since they are clearly doing their own special thing, from the bread all the way to the sauce it's ... different (it sais garlic sauce but it's not made like classic garlic sauce). Naming aside, the sandwich is big and tastes good, I loved the bread, and the meat was okay ish. I would come back to try the rest but i don't think I would come here just for the shawarma again.
