Food was nice but the service was extremely shaggy

I mean im from Germany and to have such a good french Restaurant for this price is in Germany a rarity It Had good Atmosphere and although there we're only two Chefs and one Waiter the food was really nice Ofcourse it takes longer but that wasnt that Bad you talked with Family or Friends and ye I would recommend this Restaurant

A small but very nice classic bistro in the heart of Utrecht. The four of us ate here after a beautiful performance of the St. Matthew Passion (Leertouwer). I was already really excited because I had seen a photo of escargoes on their website. I was really looking forward to that. It had been a long time since I had eaten that. They were excellent; marinated in home made sauce and you could taste it too. Too bad that there were too few pieces of baguette served with it. The next dish I had duck breast. This was also well roasted (medium) with some fries and a mixture of different vegetables. Very tasty. We had chosen a bottle of red house wine and it tasted very good (photo). Finally, a crème brûlée for dessert. This one was just okay. The amount was not too bad when we paid. An average of €57 per person for a meal of this quality (including a bottle of wine) is rare these days. So next year again. 19-4-2025 As promised last year, we ate here again after attending another emotional, beautiful MattheusPassion by Johannes Leertouwer in the Jacobi Church. (now with 8 people). The food was again excellent. It's just a pity that we could only choose a la carte. Given the size of the group, they could not accommodate a large variety of choices with their limited kitchen staff. So unfortunately no escargo this time. But once again we had a delicious meal. Next year (DV) again.

A piece of culinary France in Utrecht!!

I've been here a few times before. Cute and cozy restaurant. I had the lamb with the honey thyme sauce. Good food, good wine.

We were looking forward to authentic French cuisine. We found the crepes a bit disappointing. The light was so bright that we spontaneously saw who we were out with. And when we were halfway through with a bottle of wine, we were told that the place was closing.

We are french and we were happy to eat in this restaurant. The dishes are well presented and the food is qualitative. We took the canard and the tournedo. The only bad point is about the bread. I wanted a slice of bread to finish the sauce in my plate... 3,75€ for a mini portion and bad quality... Otherwise, it was nice.

Gezellige sfeer voor een ongedwongen avondje aan tafel. De kaart is uitgebreid zodat er voor ieder ruime keuze is. Je hebt ook een keuzemenu, voor de portemonnee een betere deal. Een aantal gerechten was zeer smakelijk (coq au vin, konijnenstoof), terwijl een aantal andere tegen vielen doordat ze te heet van smaak waren (kikkerbilletjes) of minder smaakvol (lamsfilet). Ikzelf vond alleen het toetje echt lekker (pomme vanille). De hoeveelheden zijn (te) klein. Voorgerecht mosselen in een mini pannetje. Ik vroeg voor de saus coq au vin wat stokbrood en daarvoor werd een bedrag op de rekening erbij gezet. Voor mij reden om geen tip te geven.

Had dinner here with the whole family tonight. It was delicious and the service was very friendly. A good atmosphere.

We had the menu, not expensive for three courses. And it's nice that you can also order half liters of wine. Starter was mediocre, pate not homemade as you would actually expect; salt with lots of liver. Meat from the main course was fine. But exactly the same vegetables are served with every main course. That clashed with the sauce. Dessert: a rock-hard stewed pear with a small bowl of vanilla ice cream. Between courses I was snapped at by an older man when I didn't respond immediately or taste everything. Female service was correct.

Great place, no nonsense, excellent food, fair prices

A charming, cozy restaurant where the warm atmosphere is palpable. Soft French music played in the background, which perfectly matched the ambiance. Even though the restaurant was filled with people, there was little echo, which we found very pleasant. The host who served us was extremely friendly. The menu offered a wide choice, and the red wine we chose was delicious - with a useful mention of the wine including color in the description. The food was delicious, with flavors that felt authentically prepared. A good place for a fun and tasteful evening out!

Excellent food. Fish as well as duck. Friendly service giving you a touch of French cousine. Prices competitive fair.

Tobacco smell. Le Bibelot gets good reviews, but when we arrived around 5 p.m., the cigarette that the owner was smoking in the restaurant had just been extinguished. Complete turn off to have to eat in that tobacco smell. We canceled the reservation and went to eat somewhere else.

Authentiek Franse gerechten in een authentiek Franse sfeer. ik had een heerlijke Carré d'agneau. Een prima Matayac, Cahors 2021, erbij, die boven verwachting was. Lekkere toetjes. De patron is vriendelijk en gaat in op je verzoeken, een beetje aandringen vind hij niet erg. Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding ook.

Authentic French dishes in an authentic French atmosphere. I had a delicious Carré d'agneau. An excellent Cahors 2021, which exceeded expectations. Tasty desserts. The patron is friendly and responds to your requests, he doesn't mind a little pushing. Good value for money too.

I have been coming here for 25 years, delicious food with special dishes, for reasonable prices. Reservations are recommended as it is usually full.

The wine was good and the food was good enough. For the price everything looks reasonable. The persons giving us the service were super friendly. If you are looking for something different you should definitely go.

The French atmosphere is great however the food is hit or miss. The boeuf bourguignon was really well done but other plates not so much. The prices are well tailored.

It is a pity that the restaurant lacks maintenance. Too much on the wall and there are flowers, statues, etc. everywhere. The toilets have tiles with holes where the plugs were still in and no lampshade, mirror hangs crookedly on the wall, etc. If you run your finger over the edge of the door, your finger is dusty. The menu had food remains and stains, a salt shaker with sauce stains, in short, high time for a major cleaning. The owner would also be better off not standing outside the door smoking, that's a real shame. The sign outside with the new price for a special price menu, the old price is covered but visibly readable and the new price is on an orange price stunner sticker that you see at the Action of Kruidvat in the corner. Guys, come on......after the Covid epidemic, you can't guarantee health hygiene in this way, can you?

Had dinner here today after a day in the city. Super friendly staff, a nice cozy atmosphere and nice French music! We had the 3 course menu. Super tasty food and an affordable price. Definitely recommended if you are in Utrecht.

¡Es horrible! La comida era insípida. Parecen obsesionados con la presentación kitsch en lugar de la calidad de la comida. El servicio era asqueroso, rozando el mal genio. Con todo, una tarde desperdiciada. Por un precio similar tuvimos una comida realmente excelente en 'il pozzo', solo un poco más arriba de Oudegracht.

Wie Utrecht zegt te kennen en niet hier gegeten heeft, is of yup of kent Utrecht niet! Prachtige Franse keuken met een fijne prijs kwaliteitsverhouding! Probeer de escargots, vind je zelden in NL. ga ook eens voor de Strifaniff of de nieuw buirgignon of als toetje de crêpes suzette. Top!

Cozy and simple restaurant. The food is not very special but not too expensive either. This restaurant has been around for a long time and mainly focuses on simplicity and friendliness. And they are very good at that.

Het spijt me, maar dit is gewoon niet goed; ik heb getwijfeld over 1 of 2 ballen. Het voorgerecht was ok, derhalve 2; hoofdgerecht was meer fruit dan canard en bij een tafelgenoot was vlees gewoon koud. Kazen werden niet uitgelegd en werden op het eind gewoon weggekeken en kregen onze rekening alvast gepresenteerd. Dit is geen restaurant voor een tweede keer en is mij toch een raadsel dat het vol zat ( zeker niet dankzij de kookkunsten) ; niet doen.

De kwaliteit is bijzonder goed. Heerlijk zacht vlees wat smeld in de mond. Lekker klaar gemaakt en meer dan voldoende portie. Voor ca 20 euro heb je keuze uit vele hoofdgerechten. Vlees en vis. De bediening is vriendelijk en attent. Ik kan het zeker aanbevelen.

Heerlijk knusse bistro met een heerlijke kaart, ik was hier 27 jaar terug eens geweest wist niet dat het nog bestond maar ze zitten er al 43 jaar echt lekker gegeten

Heerlijk om na jaren weer eens hier te eten. Menukeuze is goed, de uitwerking prima. Sfeer hartelijk, attente medewerkers.

Na een valse start prima gegeten. Het was erg druk maar de bediening bleef vlot. Het eten was heerlijk. De gerechten niet te groot of te klein.

Leuk Frans restaurant met bistro uitstraling. Op de uitgebreide kaart staan veel Franse klassiekers. Uitstekende keuken, vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk gegeten tegen vriendelijke prijzen Klein minpuntje was de er Engels gesproken moest worden tegen deel van de bediening.

French class: excellent wine, tasty and healthy fine dining options. If you are a French expat, it will feel like home. Baguette quality could improve.

Excelente adresse, cela faisait longtemps que j’avais aussi bien mangé! Des produits de qualité, épices avec subtilité… un beau voyage gustatif! Je recommande vivement. De plus, pour mon fils allergique, ils étaient à l’écoute et on fait une bonne proposition! 5* pour le professionnalisme, la créativité, très goûteux et un bon service.

Een gezellig tent met traditioneel keuken en ouderwetse sfeer. Zachte muziek. Je kunt echt een gesprek voeren.

Zeer lekker gegeten. Mijn man had de Fruits de Mer Bibelots en ikzelf had de gegrilde dorade. Zeer lekker klaargemaakt. Mijn man had vooraf een soep genomen. Ikzelf ben meer een zoutekauw en ging dus voor de met ijs gevulde roomsoesjes. Alles was overheerlijk. De bediening is zeer vlot en de uitbaters zijn supervriendelijk. Kortom, zeker een aanrader! We hadden geluk dat er nog een tafeltje vrij was, want we hadden niet gereserveerd, maar ik denk dat reserveren is wel aan te raden is. Voor herhaling vatbaar...

Al 40 jaar (on)regelmatige gast. Het eten en de bediening zijn altijd uitstekend. De prijzen zijn schappelijk.

Heerlijk frans restaurant, nostalgische sfeer, heerlijk gegeten!!

Heerlijk restaurant met een fantastische franse kaart. Ouderwets goede bediening.

Le Bibelot op de Oude gracht in Utrecht: wie kent het niet ! Leuk bescheiden pand met een Franse bistro uitstraling. Sfeervol interieur met Franse muziek en een zeer uitgebreide kaart met Franse klassiekers. Vriendelijke ontvangst ! Glaasje Merlot erbij. En gelijk een lekker stokbroodje met goede kruidenboter erbij met de complimenten van de zaak. We kozen voor mijn verjaardags diner een steak au poivre ( prima vlees zonder dat een extra knauw nodig was )met een heerlijke pepersaus. Voor mijzelf een royaal stuk gebakken zalm met grote mosterdsaus en geserveerd met krokante frietjes. Allebei heerlijk en voldoende , daarbij een bakje sla ook met mijn favoriet veldsla en alles voor een wel zeer prettige prijs van nog geen 60,00E daarbij we hadden we nog een extra glaasje Merlot, een plat watertje en een goede espresso. De service is snel en attent. De heren die hier de scepter zwaaien hebben ea goed onder de knie. Van harte aanbevolen dus. Parkeren op steenworp afstand in de garage aan de Springweg ( daar hangt overigens wel en prijskaartje aan).

Geweldig restaurant, zeer lekker en goed gegeten. Vriendelijke bediening. Zeker voor herhaling vatbaar.

The menu is very French but not the quality of food, the frog leg was cooked with too much sauce and didn’t taste right . Also the presentation is like a tourist restaurant:/ main course bourgogne beef as well , not authentic at all .

Rather traditional French bistro style restaurant. Lots of classic dishes on the menu. All very tasty.
