Nice place for breakfast and lunch!

We always love coming here, same good food, friendly staff, nice atmosphere, can never go wrong with a breakfast or lunch here.

Today, Saturday, October 25th, I was at the Beethovenstraat location in Amsterdam for brunch. Delicious omelet, great atmosphere. Extremely friendly staff. They made me feel very welcome.

I've loved coming to Le Pain on Beethovenstraat for years! Today I had flatbread with mushroom tapenade and roasted vegetables—truly autumnal flavors and absolutely delicious! What great service again!

Delicious food, interesting menu, and friendly and helpful staff. The restaurant has a lovely decor. The initial reviews we read were quite negative. Our experience was completely different. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back.

A menu with some unusual dishes. All equally delicious, the portions seem small, but they're actually quite good. The atmosphere is reminiscent of a typical living room. The staff is friendly and attentive.

A bit lax on the service. Also notice it’s not left handed oriented 😉 they took my water, and said they would bring one back, never did. Good location though.

Overpriced and very little food. Sandwich for 19 euro is 1 slice of sourdough.

This is my absolute favorite café in Amsterdam, and whenever I’m in the city, I have breakfast here every single day. It’s a charming little place with a lovely, cozy, home-like atmosphere and an amazing selection of healthy food. They serve delicious sourdough bread, as well as plenty of tasty vegan and vegetarian options. The staff is incredibly kind and welcoming, making every visit a real pleasure. I always feel wonderful here, and I can only highly recommend coming to enjoy the beautiful food and warm atmosphere.

Way too overpriced. Came to €20 for a coffee, croissant and avocado toast with an egg. I ordered an egg and asked for avocado with it and received tiny floppy strips of bread and and egg stuffed on a plate and some avocado. I was not happy

Lovely Service and Great Coffee I had a wonderful experience at Le Pain Quotidien. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out — friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Our waitress was especially kind and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. She double-checked our orders, brought everything promptly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. At the end, she made a real effort to ensure we left happy — and we definitely did. It's the kind of place that combines a relaxed atmosphere with thoughtful service. I’ll definitely be coming back.

The food was amazing, delicious and nicely made. I would definitely recommend the place. You can also have a ‘breakfast’ croissant, for lunch because they don’t tell you what time to wake up! The croissant itself was delightful.

This is still one of my favorite spots in the neighborhood, especially for breakfast — we often come here just for that. They’ve added a new dish to the menu and I absolutely loved it: the combination of white cheese, muhammara, and fennel is amazing. However, I noticed they’ve changed the menu and now you have to pay extra for eggs every time you want to add them to your plate. I didn’t like that, because it feels a bit strange to pay extra for eggs when you’re already ordering a breakfast plate. They used to have a breakfast menu — I can’t remember the exact name, maybe something like “Farmer Breakfast” — and we really liked it. I think it would be great if you could add something similar to the menu again.

Beautiful small Bistro/Bakery Style restaurant. Great to sit outside when the weather is beautiful and sunny. Can become quite crowded during Lunch time - so come before noon if you are looking for a nice table spot outside. The Omelette is delicious but also quite on the bigger end. Advocado and salmon scrubbled eggs are also very delicious. The sourdough bread is super tasty.

As a visitor to Amsterdam, this was a really great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Food is very good with lots of healthy options. What really makes it super though is the very friendly and helpful staff.

De serveerster die mij en mijn vrienden bediende was super onbeschoft en brutaal tegen ons. Echt een heel vervelend mens. Een vriend wou een mimosa bestellen en ze zei “nee je bent geen 18, dat zei je net tegen je vriend.” Toen liep ze weg. Wij zijn overigens in de 20. Maar goed, mocht je dat niet geloven vraag je netjes om iemands ID denk ik dan. De leiding gevende probeerde het goed te maken en was vriendelijk. Maar hoop dat zei snel ontslagen wordt!

Le Pain Quotidien was the first place we stopped at in the Netherlands to eat. After our time in Germany we were excited for some Cafe food. We arrived at the locations after parking on the street around the corner. Street parking is few and far between and is paid parking. If you have ADA placard displayed there is no charge for parking in the EU. Fist off there is a lot to take in with the food display. Wow so many pastries. We said we wanted to dine in and inside and was taken to our seat. The table seating was plentiful and with the back side courtyard the options are endless. after looking over the menu we decided on a light Brunch. We did order Orange Juice and sparkling water. The OG was great but not sure if it was fresh squeezed. My wife decided on a Hard boil egg with a baguette and chocolate pastry. I choose to get the ham and cheese croissant with a waffle with fruit and sugar topper. our food was enjoyable and not to filling. That allowed us to share and taste what each of of got. The toilet is down a set of stair that feels like you need a climing rope for but its can be done. If you require mobility assistance there will be an issue. We would encourage you to stop by and try

Great little cafe in Amsterdam.

Today we had a delicious cake at Le Pain! On the recommendation of a spontaneous and very friendly employee. 'Tarte du pommes frites' highly recommended. Tip from flip: even tastier with a pinch of cinnamon!

The match here is overpriced and does not even contain Matcha powder, I paid 6 euros for a glass of milk, another place trying to exhort Money from the Hype

Normally I wouldn't put any effort into a review because I never take the time to do so. Today I was served by a downright rude lady. You could see from everything (face, body language) that she didn't like her job at all :) When I received a wrong order, I decided to say something about her attitude and then - as was to be expected - I got a big mouth back that I would be the only one with such an opinion and that I should just go to another terrace. have to move if I don't like it. I didn't feel like making a big deal out of it, but she was very rude. Maybe this lady is very unhappy or maybe she was having a bad day. In any case, it was nothing to look at. The gravy was fine, the area is great, but I think the service had some issues.

Really nice variety for everyone. I had an eggplant and parmesan quiche, and my 4 year old had a waffle with fruit, and we were both very happy. Coffee is excellent!

Lovely location and very friendly staff. Breakfast in peace and relaxation in a beautiful corner of Amsterdam. I really enjoyed the flat white and the eggs are very good. The portions are very generous. The flat white in the large version is really big. The menu is quite varied. Highly recommended!

Although I loved the location, food and music here, I am very disappointed in the way the staff treat customers, especially tourists. The lack of respect and professionalism is outrageous, and the linguistic bias is unacceptable. This really needs to improve

I had a nice lunch with my sister (6 years old). The service was very nice. They chat with you and also show interest. Not only did that make our lunch enjoyable, but the food was also delicious! I ordered a delicious grilled vegetable sandwich with hummus and my sister had the poffertjes. Both enjoyed it very much and my sister even wanted to grab some of my food! That says enough haha. Definitely recommended ;P

Heerlijke brunch met ontzettend veel eten op m’n bord. Meerdere broodjes, avocado, yoghurt etc. Het was allemaal vol smaak. Dankzij de klassieke muziek uit de speakers hing er kerstachtige sfeer.

This place is an quaint French cafe. We tried Ceaser tartine, Italian tartine and French toast. The French toast is the best I have ever had. The latte and mint pot of tea were also great. It is a little pricey but worth it.

My toddler and I visit here on an almost daily basis. She loves their Pain Au Chocolat, which is as big as her head. Service has a high variance. When we come just the two of us we get our order like 3 minutes from when we entered. When we come the entire family of 4 it would sometimes take then 10 minutes to just grab the order. Not sure why.

Extremely noisy, tiring and unexpectedly unrestful environment. Pastries are tasty but the atmosphere kills the experience. If you are looking for a cozy spot to have an intimate conversation or contemplate in solitude, this is not the place. The problem is, that kind of place seems to become harder and harder to find around this part of town.

Excellent service, atmosphere is nice and wifi works well. Some table are face a garden on the back. What's not great is seeing people from the kitchen going back and forth to the garden to (i think) wash ustensile off on the back of the garden. The food was better in my memories when I discovered Pain Quotidien in London. The croissant was dry and you only get tiny 10g of butter for a whole basket of bread. It wasn't fresh butter so I did not bother to ask for more. I do not recommend the Avocado toast. It wasn't freshly mashed Avocado with seasoning. It was more like a spread made of Avocado pretty sour with a lot of lemon juice which I suspect allow you to keep it longer. The avo spread is probably "home" made in the kitchen (I hope) but it isn't a good quality one. I also order a latte macciato. Not the best but still okay.

I was very happy with the food I ordered ( bread with humus and avocado). The taste was delicious!!! And the service was fast and kind. Definitely a place to go back to.

Ik nam binnen plaats en heb 7 minuten gezeten zonder dat iemand mij kwam helpen. Er liep 5 man/vrouw personeel. Het was niet extreem druk. Cappuccino niet extra bijzonder, gewoon normale kwaliteit. Geen lepeltje, geen koekje. Ik vind het maar matig, allemaal. Jammer

Mijn favoriete plek op de Beethovenstraat, koffie is echt altijd lekker, jammer dat vandaag was koffie zonder lepel en mini chocolaatjes. Het was fris en tijdens onze lunch ging personeel ongeveer 9x iets pakken in de tuin , dat stoort enorm en niet alleen ons maar ook mensen van 2 andere tafels hadden echt koud en last van. Brood is altijd perfect dat maakt wel weer hoop goed . Toch zal ik deze plek aanraden 👌

Kille sfeer, niet een plek waar ik snel nog een keer zou komen. Bediening is niet geweldig, net als het aanbod en smaak van het eten en drinken.

Fabulous breakfast here with matching fabulous espresso. Smoked salmon tartine on hemp bread. One of those fresh, delicious, beautifully presented meals which restore your faith in civilization when least you expect it.

Beetje overrated. Hoge "Zuid-kak-sfeer". Bediening was best oké. Eten niet heel bijzonder. Niet een plek waar ik snel nog een keer zou komen.
