This place is a hidden gem, 100% would recommend going.

The food is delicious, fresh and well priced! I ate the chicken sandwich and I loved the fresh ingredients like the feta cheese. The staff is incredibly friendly and positive. They make the sandwich right in front of you. I would love to come back here on my next trip.

"It was ok" The portion of falafel sandwich looked stunning but we felt there was nothing "special" if we focus on the taste. Not bad but the expectations were a bit higher. Some friends added: "it was ok to try but not that great to repeat"

A cozy but pleasant dining tent. Here you get varied food from the Middle East combined with delicious bread and homemade toppings for salads or meat. The owner is cooperative and hardworking, a nice man to be around. The business looks professional and hygienic. I give this catering establishment a nice 9.5, because absolute perfection does not exist.

Very inconspicuous shop, you have to be careful not to walk past it. Le Souk is a super friendly family business. I had flatbread with falafel and flatbread with chicken and loved it both times. English is also spoken and everything is prepared fresh from scratch. Le Souk also sells typical oriental foods as well as ceramics. A real tip!

Absolute hidden gem, they offer delicious and authentic food! Bring a little bit of time because the owner works very slow, nevertheless the wait is worth every second, as his food is amazing and super fresh! Only thing you must remember is to bring cash!

It’s a cute shop and the guy is funny but - why does this place have such a high rating? Do people here not have taste buds? The falafel balls were actually delicious, but I hated the sandwich itself - that pomegranate stuff on top was the biggest offender for me, and the bread was a bit strange as well. It’s like bread shaped like a pita, but not really a pita. Also - it seemed like there was raw beef and falafel ingredients stored in the same refrigerator, which is very unsanitary, but I’m not 100% sure what I was looking at was raw.

More a deli than a restaurant, but they also prepare sandwiches, which are truly delicious! Freshly cooked ingredients, be it the beef, the falafel or the chicken. Kibbeh was also prepared just as we ordered, and were great! Definitely recommended for a quick bite on the go. All with really kind service from the lady behind the counter. Will come back!

Top olives in the Peter Bite. We kindly asked if we could make our own “döner kebab”. Unfortunately this was rejected. Otherwise great. CAUTION, appearances can be deceiving: THERE IS NO SOUP. Unfortunately no beer either.

Seriously, Le Souk is one of my overall favorite places in Maastricht as someone who lives there. Fair prices, authentic, delicious and fresh food, kind owners. What else do you need? :) 100% recommended.

They don't ask you what you want on your falafel and are incredibly rude if you express a preference. Not to mention long waiting time. The falafel taste ok, but the bad service ruins it. Would not come here again & its not worth it for 8 eu. You get better service, better taste and better price at Kebab XL at randwyck.

Seriously, the BEST sandwich I’ve ever had! I went to this place in April 2023, and I’ve never had a sandwich that has topped it. The service is amazing; truly the kindest people work here. The Turkish delights are amazing as well. If you are visiting Maastricht, definitely add this place to your lunch list. I'm literally coming back just to visit this place.

Tijdens een dagje Maastricht liepen wij langs deze zaak, en door de mooie Marokkaanse schalen (en mijn liefde voor dolma) liepen wij spontaan naar binnen. Hoewel er maar twee of drie klanten voor ons waren leek het een eeuwigheid te duren voordat we werden geholpen door de aardige vrouw. We namen couscous, dolma, olijven in knoflook, tzatziki en brood (voor niet al te weinig geld) mee naar huis om na ons stadsbezoek niet meer te hoeven koken. Helaas viel het eten erg tegen: de couscous was flauw, de dolma droog en er zat véél te veel knoflook bij de olijven. We hebben vooral veel brood gedipt in de tzatziki, en de rest weg gegooid. Mijn man had nog honger en overwoog een frietje te bestellen, maar maakte maar een kaasplankje. Door de lovende recensies kan ik me voorstellen dat we net pech hadden of dat het een kwestie van smaak is hoe sterk je je olijven en hoe droog je je dolma wil hebben. Desondanks wilde ik bij deze toch laten weten dat het eten dus niet door iedereen fantastisch wordt gevonden.

Hele vriendelijke mevrouw achter de balie die ons nog even wat lekkers te eten gaf terwijl we wachten op onze broodje. Alles werd vers voor je neus gemaakt. Heel erg lekkere broodje kip met een gevarieerde salade olijven en fetakaas met saus. En toen we nog wat extra olijven meenamen deed ze er nog wat extra bij het bakje in haha. Broodje was echt lekker. Iets heerlijks als je een keer wat anders wilt.

Superlekker broodje falafel, heerlijke tomaten tapenade, olijven/aubergine smeersels ennog iets met koriander. Je mag proeven. Ook lekkere (knoflook) olijven en supervriendelijke man.

The food is good but it is extremely overpriced. You pay 9,5 euros for a normal lunch and you are still hungry after that

as a middle eastern, this place has the best falafel in maastricht by far. it may not be the most 'authentic' sandwich, but its honestly one of the best ive ever had, its absolutely delicious!

I wouldn't have found this place without a friend showing me and even if I did, I'm not sure I would've noticed that I can get sandwiches here. I was stuck looking at all the wonderful products they offered, but eventually got a kofte sandwich and wow, so good! Everything in it is so fresh and delicious. Also the portion was huge, so filling. Definitely would recommend buying olives, cheese and salads to fill your fridge and leaving with a sandwich in hand.

Very delicious falafel and the best I have ever eaten in Maastricht! The store also offers great mediterranea products to cook at home such as De Cecco pasta, fresh olives, light cheese and so on. Highly recommend for good and fresh ingredients to cook at home or grabbing a delicious falafel to eat while walking in the beautiful surroundings.

Si estás en Maastricht hay varias tiendas que tienes que ver. Uno de los mejores es la tienda de delicatessen, le souk. Esta es una gran tienda donde venden las mejores aceitunas y otros alimentos delicatessen y el mejor pan (broodje) falafel y merguez. Completo con ensalada Freds, aceitunas, feta, falafel o Merguez. Ans El propietario, un gran tipo marroquí, tiene un magnífico sentido del humor. Solo ve a Le Souk y prueba alguna comida deli.

Nos topamos con este pequeño lugar y nos enamoramos de la comida. Un dulce francés creó el cielo en una comida con su falafel de 6 euros. Repleto de falafel, ensalada, salsa, queso feta, aceitunas y hummus. Es una comida gigante, así que asegúrate de ir allí con hambre. ! Un hombre encantador es dueño de la tienda y le recomiendo que encuentre su camino aquí. ¡Disfrutar!
