We had such a lovely lunch here! I had the pumpkin soup and my husband had the meatball sandwich — both were absolutely delicious. The place itself is small and cozy with a really cute atmosphere. The waitress was super friendly and made us feel very welcome. Definitely a little gem in Maastricht — we’ll be coming back for sure.

The food is truly delicious. The smoothies were also fantastic. They use fresh ingredients and everything was prepared on-site. Truly delicious. Even the little ones were catered for. While we waited, there were coloring pages, games, and puzzles for our daughter to play with.

Freshly prepared meals! Just one thing to improve: I ordered a salad with vegetables. The zucchini and eggplant can be cooked a little bit more. That’s completely personal taste that I would prefer them softer and juicier. Other than that everything was great. We were very satisfied with the service as well. Thank you.

Tasty, but overpriced sandwiches with rather meager fillings. A Tuscan sandwich with mortadella (a thin slice) for €15.95 is simply far, far too expensive. Moreover, the chef was constantly lecturing the staff.

We’ve visited Smaak during our stay for some delicious Breakfast! The Croissant was freshly baked - still warm. The Bubble Waffles was so tasty - topped with Fresh Fruits and Whipped Cream! Staff are friendly and service is fast! Loved the small & cute breakfast vibe!

An adorable little cafe with fantastic food. I got the teriyaki chicken and the sauce was top notch. It's clear the owners care a great deal about the food they're putting out.

Not only the owners, but also the people working here are super lovely and friendly. Their bubble waffles are amazing, and their homemade tea is a definite must -try! Highly recommend this café.

Had the Seasonal Soup which was Asparagus soup with smoked salmon. The soup very creamy and good. Would be nice if the bread was heated, otherwise very happy with everything and the server was very sweet.

Food is okay, nothing special, and portions are very small. It takes a really long time for the food to arrive even though the tent is super small and it's not even full. They also constantly forget things after we have waited an hour for them. I don't understand how this place has a 4.8, I won't be coming back here.

Overall is not a bad place but the menu is very basic. Everything can be done at home with simple ingredients, there is nothing special. Some breakfast deals are not just basic but also poor: literally one slice of ham and one slice of cheese. I felt scammed by the very positive reviews, nothings is really that amazing about this place and that’s unfortunate cause staff was nice…

Looking for a nice place for lunch, I found this super spot in the center of Maastricht. We chose a delicious smoothie with fresh fruit, a glass of fresh strawberry and pear juice and a sandwich filled with teriyaki chicken and salad. This was an absolute pleasure, from the atmosphere, the friendly staff and the lunch.

This place was a nice surprise for me. I have never tasted a sandwich like this one. This sandwich shop definitely has a lot of creativity and nice Asian inspired flavors and techniques. I ordered a vegetable sandwich. The only downside is that it lacked protein. Other than that it was really good.

Personally nothing special, the staff pretty good but the food is not impressive. However, it seems the bread they prepare is quite impressive but I didn’t had the opportunity to try once I arrived after the brunch time.

A mildly romantic atmosphere. The place feels clean and bright. I got breakfast here which was granola, fruit, yogurt, and a small croissant on the side. The vegan butter was very nice. I enjoyed my oat milk latte, too. Server was quick and efficient.

On Sunday morning in the rain we walked in with our baby but were immediately turned away by the staff because there was a large reservation. There were still 3-4 seats available where we could easily have a cup of coffee. Very sorry.

A really beautiful and cozy breakfast spot in the centre of Maastricht. Great coffee, fresh juice, delicious pastries and amazing bread are the highlights from the breakfast menu. We saw people around us ordering bubble waffles as well, so they seem popular. They have a few set menu items for breakfast that include a variety of yogurts, breads, pastries and ham and cheese. They generally include a glass of fresh juice. The ambience in the restaurant is really calming and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and the service was impeccable. Just note that it's a very small restaurant with only 1 table for 2 people outside. During busy times it could be difficult to get a table.

My family went there for breakfast and it was awesome. The food was tasty, had many great breakfast options and looked very appealing. The highlight for me were the owners, who were super friendly and the main factor for the great atmosphere.

We had a lovely breakfast this morning. Everything was very good and curated. The matcha latte was super good and the coffee aswell. The bread choice is delicious, and we highly recommend the vegan yoghurt. Different choice of milk (also almond and oat). Menu for children available + album and colors. The employees are very nice :)

Absoluut een aanrader! Heerlijk gegeten en gedronken hier. Met liefde en zorg bereid, en dat proef je! Vriendelijk personeel en een fijne sfeer. Jammer dat wij niet in de buurt wonen 😉 Maar bij ons volgende bezoek aan Maastricht, slaan we ‘Smaak’ zeker niet over.

Es ist einfach extrem lecker gewesen, die Eistees sind absolut empfehlenswert, nicht so übertrieben süß sondern sehr natürlich aber umso leckerer! Das Essen war auch sehr schmackhaft! Nur zu empfehlen und 5 Stern mehr als nur Wert!
