Nice restaurant, with cheerful professional service. The food was between good and certainly good, nice flavor combinations. Prices friendly for this class.

Had one wonderful, pleasant, culinary evening. The appetizers in particular were great! Dishes beautifully presented. Friendly staff. The oysters were a pleasant extra at the beginning of the evening with the aperitif. Top restaurant in the center of Maastricht.

What a fantastic evening we had at Restaurant 55! From the moment we walked in, we felt incredibly welcome. The staff exudes hospitality and paid full attention to us, which made for a wonderful start to the evening. We sat in a nice spot near the fireplace, which immediately created a cozy atmosphere. We opted for the six-course menu with matching wines, and what an experience that was! Every dish and wine were perfectly matched. Our taste buds were surprised again and again, from oysters to a sublime tournedos and even unique dishes that we had never tasted before. Everything was delicious! The portions were just right, leaving us satisfied, but not too full, at the end of the evening. To conclude, we were surprised with a homemade limoncello from the owner. This was not only incredibly tasty, but also a perfect end to an amazing culinary journey. What also really struck us was the eye for detail and the personal touch of the staff. The door was neatly held open for us, napkins were folded if they were left on the table, and the interaction with the staff was genuinely pleasant. It was clear that they enjoy their work and really care about their guests. Restaurant 55 definitely gets 5 stars from us. Our compliments to the staff for their warm hospitality and to the kitchen brigade for preparing such an excellent menu. We will definitely come back here! Thank you for this unforgettable evening! What a wonderful experience we had in this extraordinary restaurant! Everything, really everything was right! The food is star-worthy and culinary art at its finest. Creative but considered compositions of flavors and textures, beautifully and artfully presented. You can taste the love of the job and the passion of the chefs for good products in every single course. The wine accompaniment is wonderfully chosen, with the courage to experiment, but which is rewarded in any case. The service is magical, loving, attentive, very charming and equally professional! Last but not least: The price-performance ratio is more than fair. We felt completely comfortable and would like to thank the entire Team 55 for a wonderful evening. Very occasionally you walk into a place and everything is just right, the place, the decor, the people in the kitchen and on the floor and most importantly... the food. And so this was such a moment of happiness. Highly recommended and it is because we live so far from Maastricht, otherwise we would be here quite regularly. What surprising and delicious dishes. And that weekly renewal, just imagine.

In een omzettend sfeervolle ambiance hebben wij genoten van een heerlijk menu. Het eten was een belevenis en echt tongstrelend. Het personeel heeft de perfecte balans tussen belegd/etiquette en een persoonlijke warme benadering. Dat maakte het een memorable avond uit.

Beautiful location in the heart of Maastricht. Friendly welcome, we were offered a nice spacious table. When taking the aperitif we were asked if we wanted oysters, which we wholeheartedly opted for. Our aperitif was a Cremant, which was not special but ok. The oysters were very tasty (Irish and Gillardeau), afterwards we received 2 tasty appetizers. We opted for the 4-course menu with matched wines. The starter was a piece of halibut, very tasty with a nice glass of Fiano. The entree was a delicious preparation of Langoustine and the accompanying glass of Cotes du Rhone was ok but could be better. As a main course we had a tasty crispy fried red mullet with a delicious Chardonnay from Cotes du Thongue. The desserts were also definitely worth it, a cheese creme brulee with grated foie grasse and an impressive sabayon with pear with a matched wine. To finish we had a coffee with a nice digestif. The service was smooth, playful and correct. Well done and compliments to the Chef. Highly recommended.

The dishes are fixed and can be found on the homepage. You just decide whether you want 4, 5 or 6 courses... ...and yet you are ultimately surprised by the boss! Through the quality of the dishes, the exceptional ingredients, the finely balanced flavors. Each course is a well-considered combination! The dishes are adjusted every 1-2 weeks. If desired, there is a suitable wine for each course. The service was very friendly, accommodating. Every course, every way was explained.

We were here for the first time yesterday. But certainly not for the last time! A beautiful menu with 2 delicious amuses (I think they should have served the bisque in a pan, so delicious), and very friendly and knowledgeable service. Simply great!

A great experience, we happily celebrated our 5th family anniversary there, all the dishes had surprising combinations, perfectly selected wine for each of them, despite the size of each individual dish, for those who are afraid to leave hungry, in total we ordered a menu of 5 and 6 dishes, we came out happy and full, even very 🤤♥️ well, the service was 100% great, a wonderful experience, thanks to this place

Fine dining, haute cuisine for the enthusiast. It was expensive and we closed the door before we froze on the seat. Food was great, but not for the small budget. In tip top condition, but that's what you pay for. Oh and it was also quite expensive. I almost forgot to mention that it was quite expensive. Glad there is a chip shop nearby.

The part at the back of the restaurant is white, bare and unpleasant. The service at the table is variable and messy. (Although there are a few people who really try.) Overall, it gives the feeling that everything is being played out quickly. The food is very tasty, however, surprising and good flavor combinations,... in appetizer style,.... it is really small. And we are used to gourmet food, but we still left hungry... The adapted wines are of moderate quality. Each course contains 1 glass with barely 2 fingers of wine. It is not possible to come and pour something during a dead moment of the service. Overall.....bit disappointed.

Original dishes and formulas. Service ok. Nicer atmosphere at the entrance to the restaurant than at the back. The only downside was that I had to remind you that we had paid a deposit of 100 euros upon booking.

Martijn and his team have a great living room restaurant! We once celebrated our wedding anniversary there and now we go back every year to celebrate it there again. I've also been there for a birthday and it's been great every time! Service super friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and the food was so tasty and perfect from start to finish. They took perfect account of our appointment in a bar to end our evening! Was followed perfectly and also that we don't eat meat. Bread was replenished perfectly, even the butter and jam we received were top notch. No comments or comments about them! Always a great evening with them. 🙏🏼🥰 We enjoyed this evening!

We were able to go here by chance after a phone call half an hour before Christmas dinner, and I can say with certainty that I have never enjoyed my food so much. Plus the host and hostess were super nice and explained everything to us that was actually on our plate, sometimes with nice background stories. I would eat here every night. Truly a 10/10 restaurant.

A real potluck find this place but we’re so happy we did find it! What a gem. The food is sensational and we couldn’t believe how reasonably priced it is for the quality. The service is excellent and the atmosphere just perfect it’s so cosy and relaxed, we couldn’t believe it when we realised we had been there for three hours!

WOW! It was pure coincidence that we walked in here and there happened to be one free. From Bokkedoorns to Enoteca this is well above them. From the informal but very correct service, to the excellent dishes with fantastic wine pairing. Big 10. Host/owner was very humorous and correct, we felt at home and at our beck and call!

2019, 2020 and 2023. It stays that way. There is always an outstanding course menu here, served with fantastic service. Really an absolute recommendation and an insider tip.

Bizarrely good experience, quality is perfect and the atmosphere is wonderful. The stories by the waitress with the wine are the stuff of dreams, which makes it highly recommended.

First of all, things went wrong with the bread and the allergies that were passed on. But hey, that can happen. Just indicate yourself and then it will be arranged. Gluten free bread was served but was toasted black. We then had to wait more than an hour for the first course (between the appetizer and the first course). First course was Zander with pumpkin. Taste was good but the sauce was way too cold. Felt straight from the fridge. Shame. The rest of all courses (5 in total) were delicious. The sweetbreads were especially tasty. The pace was really too slow for all courses. We sat at the table at 7:20 PM and we got our dessert at 10:30 PM. The service was far below the desired level all evening. From having to ask several times for extra table water that was always forgotten to asking for extra wine that was also forgotten. The waiter himself said: oh dear, this is a table where everything goes wrong tonight. Then I was asked if they could add a little more wine so that I had the same amount in my glass as my table companion and to top it all off, that was also forgotten. In short, a really disappointing experience for €201.50 for two people. Previous experience here and the reviews meant that we went there with great pleasure and anticipation, but went home disappointed. We skipped the coffee and limoncello.

Visited with a group of 6 and chose the 6 course menu with wine, caviar and oyster to start with. Cozy ambiance with jazz music in the background. Staff is friendly and takes care of their guests. The duck was incredible.

Op zaterdag 12 augustus fantastisch gedineerd bij Restaurant 55 in Maastricht. Het restaurant stond al twee jaar op onze verlanglijst en hebben ontzettend genoten. Wij begonnen met een Oester, daarna de Amuse van de Chef om vervolgens een extra gang, heerlijke Kaviaar te genieten, met recht genieten! Vervolgens het zes-gangen menu met uitsluitend topgerechten! Dit alles begeleid door mooie wijnen, geschonken door de vriendelijke en kundige bediening. Mijn vrouw werd nog even kort in het zonnetje gezet vanwege haar 50e verjaardag! Restaurant 55 is met recht een topzaak onder de bezielende leiding van Martijn, echt klasse!

Wat kan ik zeggen...de perfecte drievuldigheid....zalig lekker eten dat kraakvers is bereid en perfect met de seizoenen mee varieert, een bediening die je laat voelen dat je thuis en meer dan welkom bent en als laatste een prijs die je alles met de glimlach en perfect voldaan laat afsluiten. Tot binnenkort !!

Wij vierde gisteren ons 19 jaar samen zijn, het was een heerlijk moment met het 6 gangen en bijpassende wijnen arrangement 🤗. Op en top genoten van wat de chef en zijn sommelier ons voor schotelde en dan daarbij een zeer gastvrije en vriendelijke bediening. Hartelijk dank voor de prachtige avond!!

Ik ben tegen mijn zin in een lastige eter. Bij het reserveren aangegeven geen vis of truffel te willen. Hierdoor kregen we een volledig aangepast menu waar we ontzettend van genoten hebben. Elke hap was verrukkelijk. De bediening kon niet vriendelijker of behulpzamer zijn, echt top. Fine dining is voor een kieskeurige eter lastig, maar ik heb van elke hap zitten smullen! Echt een mega aanrader.

Top!! We hebben erg genoten van een met zorg en aandacht samengesteld diner, echt super heerlijk! Daarnaast hebben we de inrichting rustig en gezellig ervaren, kortom een geslaagde avond uit eten. Volgende keer bij ons bezoek Maastricht komen we hier graag terug.
