Lekkere BAKR in De Mare

I come here regularly and I always thoroughly enjoy the bread they bake! The staff is always incredibly friendly. I do find it a real drawback that the employees accept cash and then take my bread or pastries without washing their hands. A sanitizer pump or gloves (which are changed after accepting money) at the cash register for the staff wouldn't be a bad idea!

Last Saturday, I bought two breadsticks at De Mare. Unfortunately, the outside and especially the inside were completely hard and old! This is a real shame; they might be tasty for the birds, but definitely not for the customers!

I always get my bread here. Super delicious. And the pink cakes are highly recommended.

Apparently, you're not allowed to complain if you get a top-notch Good to Goo package, but I did it anyway. 😊 While it was a great package before, we've now come to the conclusion that we shouldn't buy it again. It's meager, and the pastries taste stale. We paid €9.98, but the package isn't worth it.

I don't often write reviews, but this bakery always fails. Last time, there were flies/mosquitoes in the cannolis; they were having problems in the store. I should have come back to get some more, but no thanks! This week, the rolls were hard again (looked like Styrofoam, by the way), two of which had mold on the inside, and others had a dark, strange spot. It immediately makes you lose faith. I'd rather just go to Bart's bakery!

I've been coming to Jos Rood bakery, now Lekkere Bakr, for carrot cake for years. I was there recently because my parents were back from vacation, and I wanted to surprise them. However, the store didn't have any carrot cake. Not like it used to be. The carrot cake was now shaped like a schnitzel and topped with something that looked like whipped cream. It wasn't the original one, which had a kind of white chocolate ganache poured over it. A real shame. Especially because this schnitzel cost €10 and wasn't worth trying for me, since I know how good the old one was. This was often the only reason I returned to this bakery. The old carrot cake was very special and flavorful. A true favorite. It's a real loss.

Tgtg package is really worthless, you pay 5 euros for just a bag with 1 croissant and 2 Kaiser buns that were also so dry and it crumbled completely. I also got 2 slices of cake that also tasted so old. I thought this should prevent food waste so you give more, but no, it's all about making money, they make 6 of these types of packages. 5 euros wasn't worth it!!! And I certainly cannot see the value of 15 euros.

I suspect selling old products. For tasty bread, deviate to another bakery.

I don't know what his pastry is like, but he will just hit you with his bus at a zebra crossing. 'Just nice'.

Nice clean place with delicious sourdough bread. They now have 7 to choose from. Very customer-friendly staff and delicious fresh pastries. Nice that you are also in the Mare.

Bad ..really bad!!!! desserts below average and the bread is not fresh!!!!! Not to mention the ignorant staff, the place smelled and it was obvious that it was dirty. I also glimpsed some insects in the display case

Three stars for the cake. Could have been very good, but was a bit dried out, and definitely not fresh. We wanted to eat the chocolate cake there, but the indoor seating area was not allowed to be used (understandable) and the outdoor seating area had not been cleaned in a long time. Very dirty, several layers of food remains, yuck. This could be an unfortunate incident, so I'll give this bakery another chance later, but really.... Clean after every customer (or at least every 2 customers)!

Delicious bread, as soon as there is a new shop assistant in the store in the Mare, I will go there again.

I think delicious bread is worth a detour

The staff at the Jos Rood bakery work without gloves. I do not like it. Cannot touch products with bare hands. When I asked why without gloves...the girl at the cash register replied that gloves can break the bread. It is mandatory work in gloves with food!

Bought a few pastries and sauce rolls. Nice and friendly help.
