Li's coffee house in Van Galenbuurt

Every week I come here to relax after my physio session. The coffee is very good, the staff very friendly and plenty of newspapers to read. Finally a place with good coffee and different types of alternative milk (including coconut!) that attracts a diverse audience. An asset to the neighborhood!

Fantastic service and a warm atmosphere! Every time I visit this coffee shop, it feels like walking into a living room. The coffee is delicious, the atmosphere is cozy, but what really makes this place special is the great service - especially that from Monica. Monica is a shining example of hospitality. She always welcomes you with a genuine smile and immediately puts you at ease. Her warm and friendly personality makes every visit extra special. She takes the time for a chat and makes you really feel seen and appreciated. The rest of the team is also great, always attentive and professional. Recommended! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Li's coffee house, what a gem of a place! You come for a cup of coffee, but you stick around for the fun. Delicious coffee, tasty sandwiches, top service and always room for a chat. It doesn't get any crazier, 5 stars. Yoo!

Li’s Coffee House has a smooth solid crew, a gentle smile, soft voice, welcoming inviting look to check whether you are at ease of the own(st)er embraces people from all walks of life, those in a rush taking away their warmly made coffees teas fresh smoothies, those doing some quiet laptop work, those getting their children from the pool to quietly play in the indoor and outdoor playground. The homely atmosphere with candles, a sitting room, tables, the wood, the plants, the quiet music unite many who are open to making or living this world as a lovely place. Their food home made and nourishing nurturing varies from special healthy cakes, breakfast bowls, whereas others go for wines beets toasties and tosties. They are very open to improve hence very approachable, attracting like minded.

Li’s coffee house is a great spot to relax, meet up with friends or take a nice coffee after your work-out at the gym. Excellent service especially from the manager. She’s a real sunshine, always in for a chat and works hard to, besides this, deliver everybody’s order as quickly as possible. Big plus is the always perfectly hot coffee. Exactly the right temperature 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼

Super nice coffee spot! Come here for my daily coffee or a nice lunch with my colleague. The girls who work there are super nice, great service and it always feels like coming home. The homely atmosphere that prevails there also contributes to this ❤️

The place is great but the service is not the best.I have 20 minutes before my yoga class upstairs.I though I have time for a coffee and I'm sitting here waiting.Yoga class already started...don't come with less of 30 minutes to spare.It happens all the time😒 ---- Oh!finally here after 25 minutes!It's not so busy they just don't know how to work.If you have a line waiting for coffee,take the orders,make the coffees and send them to the tables. You have a big coffee machine,you can make more than one coffee at the time.And if the staff can not handle it you should hire more people. ------ Reply to your reply(I can not do it differently): the reason why I left a review is because I came often to your café and I normally have to wait long for a coffee. And I DID asked to the girl if she forgot about me.She was nice about it but still I waited 25 minutes🤷‍♀️

Nice place. Apparently you can play ping-pong there, which I didn’t try, but it’s a really nice spot :) of course it’s pricey as always in Amsterdam

It's hilarious to see a creepy woman making coffee in the strong smell of chlorine.

Terrible service, especially since the little lady with the brown hair works there, she is oozing with grumpiness. Walks around like you're a burden, doesn't spare you a glance. You can easily wait 20 minutes for a €4 cup of tea and get insulted when you ask for a towel. Let the guests clean up someone else's mess themselves. Not a one-off event, unfortunately. Update: after the cafe's response, see below, I can no longer respond. I certainly did not throw a dishcloth in the employee's face, but I neatly handed it into her hands standing in front of the threshold of the kitchen, because there was no one behind the bar. Don't mention it! However, this defense is exemplary of the attitude of the employee in question. Her reaction to my coming to her, where I commented that I don't think this is a way to interact with guests, was downright hostile.

it's a sweet café. the coffee is great and there is no extra fee for oatmilk or other plantbased milk. the grilled cheese was really good and you can even choose between different types of bread.

Inhumane and disrespectful. I went there asking for food because i am homeless, jobless, and only have 8 euros and they told me they are busy and unable to help. Standing in-front of a huge quantity of sandwiches.

A cozy little coffee shop based in the same building as a local community swimming pool. They had a decent range of delicious food and drink options to choose from, and I found it to be the perfect place to get a final coffee and bite to eat before leaving on the last day of our holiday.

Smart and rude staff who sell you coffee that is way too expensive. Croissants are dry. It's a shame that all public swimming pools nowadays have such pretentious coffee places.

Nice looking place with friendly staff, but it smells a bit from the pool that is next to. And sorry to say, but coffee was as bad as couldn’t drink it. Reply to the comment: we visited the spot on the 16th of April, and took out an americano decaf and a regular flat white - both the drinks had weird taste, the americano was way too sour.

Super nice coffee shop in the sports complex with a nice interior full of plants. Perfect for working, having a nice chat and a terrace to look forward to in the summer! We ate very tasty home-made quiches.

Cosy spot with nice sandwiches. You need to order at the counter - no one will come to you or tell you.

Food and coffee is pretty good. Just expect to sit in a cozy place with decent coffee. Service is sometimes not there, and then u have to order at the bar yourself. Mixed experiences with this so far. Overall worth going to!

Cute place, but has a swimming pool smell as there is a swimming pool next to it and there is a direct entrance from the swimming pool.

Not a great experience for our first time in Amsterdam. Read the reviews and looked great however the coffee was average, half foam and tasteless coffee and our food was forgotten about until we had to go back and ask. Can understand if it was very busy but the employee was sitting down and there were only 2 customers in the cafe. The toastie was good and would have it again but probably my wouldn’t get another visit from me

We arrived just as they were closing (we hadn’t realised) and they very kindly offered to make us takeaway coffee.

Place is nice and coffee is good but you should definitely reconsider the size of the cappuccino cups. You are charging 3.3 euro but the cup size is literally half of anywhere I’ve had a cappuccino before ( at the same price btw)

Great place! I like to go at least once a week, bring my laptop, and spend a day working and sipping (excellent) coffee. It's roomy and has tall windows that let in a lot of light, so you don't feel caged up like working from home or sitting in the office. 5 stars!

Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely place. This cozy cafe has left the best impressions! Hospitable hosts, delicious coffee and the atmosphere is welcoming and charming. I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again. Oh, and don’t forget to taste the banana bread 😁
