LOES in Wijk 00 Papendrecht

For a place that makes a welcoming impression on children, I found some choices to be odd: fresh apple juice (our 3 and 4-year-olds left it untouched), and a toasted sandwich made with thick, diagonally cut artisan bread – lots of hard crust compared to a soft inside. The pancakes, which are heavily advertised on the menu, were apparently already sold out in the morning. I cannot judge whether that is due to specific choices, but it was certainly a letdown. The play corner is handy because it is somewhat hidden from the noise ;) and the shop and lunchroom have a very nice atmosphere and pleasant ambiance. The staff is friendly, but due to the somewhat long wait, the not-so-child-friendly presentation of food and drinks, and a high final bill, my rating is not very high this time. A pity for all parties!

Fantastic! The food is so delicious (and responsible), the staff is friendly, there is a nice little shop, and a cozy playroom for the kids! The Bali mango smoothie is a favorite here!

Highly recommended! We went for breakfast for the first time today and we enjoyed it so much! Everything was exquisite and definitely worth the money. The breakfast was delicious, and the cappuccino and smoothie were also incredibly tasty. We will definitely be back here again!

What a lovely, cozy place. We had a delicious meal and the atmosphere is really nice. We also ordered once; gluten-free and lactose-free is an option too, and it tastes good(!). It is pricey, though.

Fantastic place, LOES is the lunchroom where you get surprised and can go home with treats and little gifts. In short: highly recommended!

The food and atmosphere are top-notch! The only thing that could be improved for me is the service, which could check a little more often to see if you want anything else. Otherwise, it's a really nice and cozy place where you can have a good breakfast or lunch.

Very beautiful location. We reserved for 8 people for high tea. Upon arrival, we waited forty-five minutes for the tea. Eventually, the tea arrived. After waiting another 20 minutes, I asked politely and respectfully when the rest would arrive. The hostess's answer was: "We are working on it; you will definitely get your food." We had made a reservation and then had to wait that long. The waiter who brought the food was friendly. The food was excellent. The whole experience was very disappointing.

Great place to eat. To get to the sittingarea you need to go through the storefront. Busy place but feels warm familiair. The food was really nice. Good combinationg of ingredients and fresh prepared. Id recommend going here for a nice informal lunch

I follow these guys on Instagram and I was attracted by their colorful and healthy food and drinks. The place is amazing. It was almost fully packed even on a Tuesday morning. If you are not familiar with Papendrecht, just know that their is a jewel here. Parking is a bit difficult, but it's worth the hussle.

A lovely high tea for two. It was delicious, but the sweet-to-savory ratio was far too much on the sweet side. And the pastries were far too large for a high tea. The price was also a bit high for what was offered.

Yesterday I went to Loes Bakery Café in the Papendrecht shopping center. What a super cozy spot for some me-time! It has a very atmospheric and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere, perfect for breakfast, coffee break, lunch, or even high tea. The service was very friendly, and there's a huge selection of cakes. I had the carrot cake, with pieces of carrot in it, not too sweet, and with delicious spices and nuts. Truly delicious! I also tried the glowing juice, which was absolutely fantastic. Definitely a place I want to return to for even more me-time.

Tasty and healthy food with lots of vegetables and fruit. Beautifully presented on the plates. Inside there is also enough space with a play corner for the little ones and a shop with all kinds of natural and special delicacies.

Nice atmosphere and great service

Leuke bakkerij, ook zijn er leuke items te koop zoals verse olie, kaarsen e.d. Je kan er ook hightea doen, wel reserveren. En lunchen kom op tijd, tis er altijd druk. De millionars short breads zijn mijn favoriet maar ik merk wel of ze vers zijn of een dagje oud. De koek is dan een stuk droger. Ik koop er ook regelmatig matig een puntje taart. De smaken zijn divers. Helaas vind ik de cake vaak te droog, het valt uit elkaar als je je vorkje erin prikt. Echt zonde want de smaak is echt lekker. De prijs is aan de stevige kant.

Did I just pay €3.70 for a cappuccino in a vending machine cup half filled???? Come on people???? Are you serious??? In response to the owner: NO THANK YOU!! Also because your coffee tasted even worse than vending machine coffee I will definitely not come back.

Had a super fun baby shower here at Loes. Everything was arranged down to the last detail, and what a cozy atmosphere, and a super fun shop too! ☺️

Nice place, nice with the adjacent bakery/shop. Looks cozy. I found high tea a bit mediocre, not much choice and found the 2 juices not a success. Would have liked a filled teapot on the table better than having to ask for a glass of tea. Would not come back here quickly.

As soon as you walk in, the place lifts your mood! It’s full of color, plants, and a cheerful vibe 💖 I usually choose this spot in Papendrecht when I want to enjoy a good cup of coffee because I love the ambiance. On top of that, the desserts are both delicious and offer some healthy options. The staff is also very friendly and welcoming. - I don’t have children myself, but I noticed there’s a play area for kids, which I found to be a nice touch. There’s also a small shop section with cute ceramics, teas, candles, and local things like that—though I find the prices a bit high. It does get busy during high tea hours, so just something to keep in mind.

Loes is my favorite breakfast/lunch spot. It's all so colorful and of course very tasty!

The success of this previously nice place has affected the service and atmosphere. Too busy, too much noise, making a pleasant get-together no longer possible. The food is and remains good. It is wonderful to relax outside on the terrace.

High Tea met n vriendin, hoelang van te voren alles klaarstaat geen idee maar doet de smaak geen goed. Verhouding zoet/hartig is scheef, door de enorme suikerbom zit je gauw vol. Smoothie lekker, als afronding namen wij n koffie verkeerd die net zo sterk was als n espresso. En oh ja, niet iedereen is min. 180 cm dus die spiegel in t toilet mag wel 25 cm lager. Leuke spulletjes in het winkeltje, maar n beker voor 16,99 ???!!

What a nice place to have lunch, for a high tea or just for a cake in between. It is always so busy that you often cannot get a place and you can only make a reservation for 4 people or more while there are three of us. That is a shame.

Was met vriendinnen voor een high tea, echt enorm veel en ontzettend lekker, de sandwich en sap. Heerlijke chocolade taart, cheesecake, red velvet taart. Bediening zoals gewoonlijk erg vriendelijk en kwam regelmatig vragen of alles goed was en voldoende. Was echt top

Ordered high tea. An excess of sweetness, even the smoothie was cloyingly sweet and surprisingly unsavory. Only some sparsely filled brown bread that felt a bit tough. We were given a table right in front of the children's play area, even though the reservation request sent well in advance actually asked for a quiet spot because we had been warned: many mothers with small children. That was right. Not a culinary recommendation, but pleasant in itself.

Really my favorite spot in Papendrecht. They have a play corner and coloring pages for the little ones, a super nice children's menu, but you can also go here as an adult without kids. From delicious cakes, well-filled sandwiches to healthy smoothies.

Had a lovely high tea, top products, very warm inside

Although it was good in the past, this was hard to find today, we already had to wait 20 minutes, when I went to ask if anyone else was coming, I was immediately spoken to negatively, that aside, Things quickly got worse. I ordered a sandwich with sauce because without it it was too dry and I couldn't eat it anymore. They make it without sauce with the message that we don't have any more, so no sandwich my partner took croissant with cheese and she gets a cold dried out croissant with lukewarm sweaty old cheese which also didn't taste good. When paying, I was asked how it was and I mentioned the points at which another colleague started shouting. that I had to keep my mouth shut, and she still tried to charge me for the returned sandwich. If I refuse this because I have not had it or eaten it, the employee starts shouting that I have to pay for it. to which I respond that he can speak normally and I will not pay for anything that has not been eaten or received. they immediately shouted, "Oh, get the hell out of the store, get the hell out of here!" Immediately after paying, I will never go here again. For the readers, only eat here if you can handle it and have enough money, a sandwhich costs easily 13.50 and a sandwich 4 euros ex sauce Moreover, you also have to wait a long time before paying

Celebrated a baby shower here. Very friendly and sweet employees. Delicious snacks and great that they don't serve soft drinks (coke, orange, etc.)

For lunch we had a brunch board. Delicious pancakes with salmon, ham and sweets. Very well cared for! A bit much and I also noticed that with other dishes that passed by. Very well filled sandwiches etc. So here you will get your money's worth if your stomach needs to be filled. Recommended!

Last Thursday my daughter had high tea with a friend. There was a piece of red velvet cake left and this took over brought them to me in a box that one of the waitresses gave them. In the evening I wanted to eat this with coffee, but I found it very dry and did not taste fresh. I had to work on Friday, so when I bought a loaf of bread from Loes on Saturday, I indicated this. The young lady who spoke to me clearly did not know what to do with it and her male colleague spoke to me while he continued with another order: something like that dries up. fast out in a box like that..., he said. Furthermore, nothing along the lines of: how annoying, or a shame that you experienced this, etc. Everyone continued with their work and I was able to pay for the bread. A missed opportunity in my opinion to at least show some understanding if you are looking forward to a nice piece of cake that evening. no longer tastes good; understanding would have made up for a lot, and certainly a little effort for such a bakery to provide a new piece would have resulted in a better review

Lekkere lunch (sandwich) gegeten vorige week. Alleen was het zo ontzettend druk, en daardoor ook veel herrie. Dat vonden we allebei echt een minpunt. Kon mn vriendin soms niet goed verstaan, dat was jammer. Ook vinden we de sandwiches echt aan de prijs.

Very nice and atmospheric lunchroom with friendly service and delicious food. The smoothies are also highly recommended! There is a separate playroom for the children, which will not bother you in the restaurant. You can buy even more goodies in the shop next door. I would love to come back here again!

Very nice lunch tent, originally decorated, including a very nice delicatessen/gift shop. Good atmosphere, beautifully decorated, play area and dishes for children, fresh products and an original menu. The salmon sandwich is super tasty (I had it the first time) but I found the Italian sandwich with brie (?) and Parma ham very disappointing in terms of taste. The coffee is delicious and fresh fruit juices and smoothies are made. I would love to come back soon to try out the next dish!

Cozy atmosphere, fast service and delicious lunch. The only downside I think is that you cannot make a reservation. I wanted to give this to my girlfriend as a gift and then you have to wait until you have a free table right away. We were lucky this time 😅, but everything else was fine 👌🏻

It is a nice, casual place where they serve more luxurious sandwiches. The waitresses were extremely friendly, but I thought the price was a bit high for a sandwich that was not very thickly filled. Smoothies are really tasty and fresh.

Ok...What is a shame is that the contents of the nice portions are miniscule! Lunch meals such as the huli huli chicken wrap for Euro 11.75 contain 2 very small pieces of chicken, as well as lots of nice vegetables and lettuce and so on. But this and all ''meals'' contain hardly any meat, chicken, etc. So you pay for very nice packaging, a very nice cafe, but you are very hungry after every meal because there is hardly any content! I really don't think that's possible for that amount.

A very cozy, cute cafe. However, when I came there with three friends to have a drink and something tasty around 3:00 PM, one after the other that we ordered was already gone. Since Loes was open until 5:30 PM, we thought that was a bit strange. Still had a nice afternoon 😁

Had a delicious high tea! Very well cared for, everything fresh and (partly) healthy. The atmosphere in the shop is super fun and in a botanical hip style.

Super nice tent. Looks cozy, tasty food and plenty of choice (also vegetarian and vegan). As a new mom, I could also sit in a somewhat shielded corner to feed my baby, so I thought that was a plus.

I have been a fan of LOES for years. They have a broad (seasonal) menu. Also very fun for children; a playroom and possibility to color at your table. When the weather is nice you can sit outside on the terrace, both in the sun and under the parasol. The food and drinks are not only fresh and pure, but also look very nice. In the shop you can buy very nice (regional) products and in the bakery delicious bread and pastries for home. You can park for free in the nearby parking garage for the first two hours. Owners and staff are open to feedback and are noticeably concerned about their customers.

Enjoyed tea/coffee with cake with colleagues. Very nice location, tasty pastries. I will definitely go there again. Loes' bread is also very tasty.

Nice place to have something to eat. It is better to read the menu in advance, so that you are not faced with any surprises. Fresh products with corresponding prices and the chosen dishes were beautifully presented. In terms of location and surroundings, the terrace is not really "the place to be". A matter worth repeating.

As a one-time visitor during King's Day, I had not read in advance (... gosh) about the products that were or were not sold here. I first tried to order a beer and then a Coke Zero, the employee looked at me as if I was asking a very stupid question. That's fine if you stand for something, but as an employee you can also just explain something politely instead of acting bored and arrogant. Other employees were correct, but I felt anything but welcome. After a few drinks we left quickly.

It is always pleasantly busy here. The acoustics are not really great. This makes it a bit noisy. The dishes are prepared with passion. You see and taste that.

Very cozy alternative restaurant. The food is very tasty, fresh, colorful and prepared with care. Unfortunately you cannot make a reservation. When I call and explain my situation (distance), I am told that reservations are not possible, but that a place will always become available within 10 minutes. When I am there with someone who comes from far away, it is very busy. My explanation that I called specifically for this does not help. Disappointed, we just linger there, eagerly looking for alternatives. Little empathy from the young staff. Offering a cookie would already feel different. After 20 minutes of desperate waiting, a table becomes available. Nice meal, but the unpleasant situation had more influence than I wanted.
