The five of us had a wonderful evening. The food was good, as was the service. Beautiful industrial location.

We had a great meal with a large group, nice atmosphere, but it was very quiet.

Found this place to celebrate a graduation lunch and I have to say that is not only an Extremely cute location. This botanical restaurant offers a very interesting experience of beer and food tasting at a super affordable price! Food was elaborate and curated in ingredients and in presentation, small portions but we didn’t leave hungry. Beers were spiced and different but they were connectin to each other in a very delicious way. Definitely a place to visit again

We finished at Lowlander with a scooter tour for a group of Swiss people. They had dinner, drinks, and gifts for the birthday boy. We, the scooter guides, were also allowed to join them. That way, as a local guide, I got a good impression of Lowlander. I had a great time with you; the food was excellent, and the view of the IJ was great! Such wonderful people with very polite staff and delicious food! We visit at least once a month. They even handle surprise birthdays so warmly, bringing the dessert you requested to your table with a little confetti. Thank you so much!

A lovely spot on the IJ River, where Stork used to be. Despite the large hall, the decor is atmospheric. We had a delicious meal: mussels, raw salmon, and beef tartare. The wine glasses were always well-filled. We're not big eaters, so the portions were fine for us. However, I do find the dishes relatively expensive.

We had a wonderful meal on the terrace on a summer day. Great concept, good beers, and delicious dishes.

We had breakfast at the restaurant of the hotel where we're staying. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed, with soft lighting and lounge music. It's a shame there were few (almost nonexistent) vegan or lactose-free options.

It's a beautiful location, but the food was disappointing. The steak was dry (even medium/rare) and the pepper sauce was tasteless. Furthermore, the service wasn't great. We had one meal without pepper sauce and two meals with pepper sauce on the side: all of this went wrong.

You absolutely have to try it, it's delicious! 🤤✨

Had a really cool time at the beer pairing lunch. Got lots of details about the beer and the food, and we enjoyed it quite a lot. Something different in Amsterdam, a bit away from all the big crowds. Would come again. More beers left to taste :D

My stepdad and I enjoyed a wonderful beer and food tasting experience. Four unique beers were paired with flavorful vegetarian bites that complemented each other perfectly. Even my stepdad, who usually isn’t a fan of vegetarian food, was impressed. Between the third and fourth round, we were invited to order from the shared dinner menu before finishing with dessert—each portion perfectly sized and well-balanced with the tasting. The beers were so distinctive that we couldn’t resist ordering an extra one afterward. Highly recommended!

We only ate some fries which were hot, well cooked and served with mayo but the food we saw coming out looked very good and there were a lot of empty plates being collected so.. We were there for the beer and it was worth the walk. It’s in the Noord of Amsterdam, bit of a walk from the ferry but worth it. The IPA was really good, we sat and watched the boats, enjoying the September sunshine and cool breeze. It’s an amazing place, inside and out, staff are really friendly and all seemed genuinely welcoming and knowledgeable about the place and beer. Go, drink, eat and enjoy the view.

They apparently don't like tourists. The food was overpriced for what you get and the service was horrible. The online menu DOES NOT MATCH the menu at the restaurant. Pollys is MUCH BETTER!

A very cool place with great views of the water. A good variety of beers and IPAs, highly recommended. As for the food, it was also very good. I especially liked the burger, with perfectly cooked meat and plenty of flavor. A highly recommended place for a quieter meal away from the hustle and bustle of the city center.

Extremely overpriced shared dining. Ordered entrecote which was very chewy (although it was proper medium rare, I guess low quality meat is used). Good for drinks though. Food just wasn't good. Vibe and service where OK

Last Thursday, we ate at this great spot again with a group of over 10 people. The new, extensive menu offers a wide selection of vegetarian, fish, and meat dishes, perfect for pairing with Lowlander's Low & No beers—available in all varieties and flavors (along with good wines, soft drinks, etc.). The service was fast and friendly; they had excellent tips for food and drink pairings. The beautiful setting in a former warehouse with botanical décor and a great atmosphere. The spacious layout makes it an excellent location for good conversations; we had another wonderful evening here!

I had a delicious meal here last Thursday! The atmosphere was wonderfully cozy, and the view made the experience complete. We were served by an incredibly friendly and pleasant lady, and the service was excellent. Definitely a place I'll be returning to. Highly recommended!

We had a fantastic afternoon at Sail. A fantastic spot on the water, great service, and a great atmosphere. The food was good, and the local beers were excellent. We'll definitely be back.

There's no better view of Sail. Meanwhile, delicious dishes were served. Pure and exceptionally well-seasoned. Everything went smoothly and friendly. We had a fantastic afternoon, and so did my 86-year-old parents, who thought they'd never be able to enjoy Sail again. Thank you for this!

Paying €130 upfront for two people for a shared dining experience was worth the view, but not the food. The standard sail menu was prepared and heated in bulk. It arrived on the table in no time. The menu included a welcome drink. It didn't specify what was included. So the Chardonnay had to be paid for later, as did four slices of bread for €6. This was a real case of making money on the sail without delivering the service. Value for money 👎🏼 Too bad.

A chill restaurant with friendly service, delicious, surprising snacks, and of course, the best beer! The location is perfect. Right on the water with a large terrace, so it's a great spot in good weather. Not exactly cheap, but highly recommended!

We had a fantastic evening at Lowlander. It was Sail, and we had front-row seats on the terrace. They had a delicious, well-prepared Sail menu, and the service was friendly and attentive. All in all, a fantastic evening!

The “unlimited” drinks bar is not hygienic — glasses are washed in a sink with soapy water and brushes, putting their hands in the water over and over again. I’ve got stomach problems after a whole day in this place. Late to tell, but for the SAIL IN it’s a “too late location” — you see the ships already preparing to moor, so the sails are already folded.

We dined at Lowlander for the first time with SAIL. Of course, this wasn't a typical evening, considering the crowds and the pressure on the staff and kitchen, but we were very satisfied. The food was good, and the service was friendly and fast despite the crowd. And the view of the IJ was phenomenal. We'd love to come back on a regular evening. It can only get better!

We waited 15 minutes at the wait sign, workers passed by and didn’t even think about telling us that they were closed until we came to them in the back of the restaurant (it was announced open on here). It was maybe to hard for them.

I knew the beers and the view would be good, but also really impressed with the food. Service wasn't great, but also not worse than the Amsterdam standards.

Original organic cuisine. The dishes are good, but the portions are very small, like tapas. For average appetites, you'll need to order several, as the bill quickly mounts up. The value for money isn't there, which is a shame. The location itself is lovely, on the canal, with an industrial style.

Somewhat hidden in the harbor, but right on the water. A large, stylish hall, beautifully decorated, with outdoor seating by the water. Delicious food (we had burgers and steak). We'd gladly go back.

We ate here for the first time, and we might well return. The service was friendly and helpful, but not quite attuned to each other yet. It took quite a while before we were asked if we wanted a drink. The three of us ordered, among other things, the eggplant schnitzel, artichoke, pointed cabbage, salmon, mackerel rilette, fennel sausage, steak (well-rare, as requested), bread, and fries. For dessert, we chose cheesecake, pavlova, and flat white.

Beautiful location. It's a disappointment that shrinkflation seems to have been invented here. Initially, you think, "That's affordable for lunch." However, the single-serve sandwiches are a major disappointment. Make the sandwiches a bit more expensive so you can offer a decent size.

Absolutely disgraceful. From the beginning we were informed that the portions are smaller than usual and they recommend to order two dishes for each person but they charge the same amount of money. I ordered red fish and fresh salad. The food which I got wasn't event good as a starter. And the salad which I got was just a bowl of lettuce . My husband ordered fish of the day and fries. The fish was served without anything on the side. Not even a veggies. I do not recommend that place. I left the place still hungry . Horrible experience.

Update: Lowlander replied to my review at the bottom, asking me to email them. I did. However, they never contacted us....🤔 Extremely nice and creative vegetarian snacks (no meals!) Small portions for very high prices. It wasn't busy and there were plenty of staff around. Yet, no one came to our table to take orders, ask if we wanted another drink, clear our plates, or bring the bill. Eye contact was avoided. It didn't feel like a warm welcome. The building is charming and nicely decorated, cozy and industrial, and is located on the water with a large terrace. A nice try, but not worth repeating.

Unfortunately, my wife's raw salmon really upset her stomach. The fish was no longer good. That shouldn't happen under any circumstances. The food is simply not tasty. I don't know what the chef is trying to say. The portions are very, very small, but the price is very, very high. And unfortunately, it's very, very bad. The steak is the size of an appetizer. Cut it three times and it's gone. We had to go to a fast-food restaurant to get our fill. The menu is very limited. With so few options, shouldn't you expect great quality? Unfortunately, the atmosphere inside is like that of a train station. The waiters were attentive but not particularly motivated. We're glad to have found a really great restaurant the next day, which made up for this disaster. Parking in front of the restaurant is, of course, only available for exorbitant parking fees. We recommend parking for free on the "main street" in front and walking 300 meters.

What a wonderful spot to enjoy the sunset on a beautifully decorated industrial terrace. The kitchen has surprisingly well-crafted unusual dishes, making this a truly culinary experience. The service is exceptionally warm and genuine, and you'll be served quickly. Highly recommended!

This was hands down one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. The food was completely inedible the steak was chewy, under seasoned, and somehow both soggy and dry at the same time. The drinks, tasted like medicine, and watered down just plain nasty. I honestly couldn’t tell what I was drinking and i’m not even sure how you mess a drink up. As for the service, it was just as bad. Our server seemed annoyed to even be there, we never got plates for the appetizers, I asked for water twice and it took 30 minutes to get it, and we were never once checked on, I had to get up and go hunt the server or yell to get their attention to ask for anything, and the whole vibe felt careless and unprofessional. The place is in a really sketchy rear warehouse as well, Beware. I usually never bother to write one star reviews and this was a place I highly thought deserved it. Save yourself, there are plenty of better places that actually make good food and care about their customers.

Great atmosphere, great beer, very nice service. We sat a little to the side but then the waiter came and said that a table had become available in a better place and offered it to us. We felt welcome and the steak was delicious. The home fries were really home-made, which is not necessarily a common practice in the Czech Republic 🙏🏼😀

Unfortunately a huge disappointment. Ambience on the terrace is good, service ditto. But the food was downright disappointing. The taste was ok to good but the quantity really below par. A slice of bread of 10 by 4 with mackerel for only 13.50. That's ok if the presentation makes up for it. But unfortunately that was not the case. A bit green and that's all she wrote... add to that a beer for 9.50 and you have to conclude unfortunately that this was a one-time visit.

Nice ambiance in an old maintenance building. Suitable for large groups, but for smaller groups there are also nice places to sit with a view of the IJ. We had 1 drink per person during lunch and we both ate a crispy chicken fillet on a sandwich, with 1 fries to share. Everything was tasty. We spent just under €50 for this lunch. Toilets are clean, urinals hang too high for 1.70m and smaller. Smooth service, everything was prepared and served quickly.

We were a group of 8. Fast service. It is a shared dining concept so “your own plate first” does not apply here. We share the burrata, the mackerel on a baguette, the pointed cabbage and the eggplant. The last 2 in particular are very tasty, with the eggplant as our favorite. Crispy crust and buttery eggplant slides down so easily. As drinks we had a pitcher of beer, tasty cocktails and good red wine from Romania. San Zi Ana is the name, recommended! We finish with a round of meat. The entrecote is very tender and I personally also like the pieces of fat. The fennel sausage from Brandt and Levie is also juicy. All in all a successful evening. We were done for 65 euros pp. The food is overall completely fine, you do have to look for dishes that suit you. I personally found the burrata less personal, just like the mackerel. I will definitely come back for the eggplant. You can also have a modest drink here with a few small snacks and something to drink. We were not sitting on the water but you have plenty of space. Places on the water are mainly 2-person tables and ideal to sit with 2 and watch the boats pass by. Perfect place for SAIL for example. Although we were not in a hurry, the service was fast and they came back regularly to ask if we needed anything else. I give it a big 8, an 8 plus.

A unique, somewhat hidden location. The food was delicious, and the beer selection was extensive and equally unique. The service was extremely good and super friendly. We really enjoyed the food and enjoyed it, even though the portions could have been a bit larger, we didn't leave hungry.

Creative menu; nice! Something different, but a bit too little what you get in relation to what you pay for it. The idea of ​​the menu is sharing dining, but 1 portion is really for 1 person and otherwise order multiple dishes, but the price is not there. Really beautiful place, on the big canal in front of the center of Amsterdam. Very welcoming and kind staff. The food is mainly vegetarian and vegan, tasty and well presented, worth a try. A little expensive because between starter, main course and a couple of glasses of wine I spent just over 40 euros.

This is a massive space that has a few great features such as the nice water view but also baby/ kids friendly inside. It has the typical bar food on the menu. Staff friendly and fast. It was an afternoon well spent.

La comida está destinada a ser compartida, sin entrantes disponibles, comida genuina preparada de manera saludable. El servicio era rápido, sin embargo, nos pareció caro. En el centro de la ciudad comimos una comida de tres platos con una cerveza de pinta con la mitad del precio que pagamos por una red con lados y dos limonadas aquí. La comida en general era buena, pero lo pensaré dos veces para volver. No es mi casa.

Produits de qualité et délicieux , vous pouvez manger un super repas simple au bord de l’eau. Les cocktails sont bons et très originaux , très très frais. Les bières aussi En plat, on a tout pris le burger avec un poulet tellement tendre ! On ne peut que vous le recommander… Pas beaucoup de choix en dessert, mais les portions sont copieuse et le cheesecake était très bon. On recommande vraiment ce restaurant pour ce cadre et la qualité du repas .

Great spot on the water. Many gluten free options and very nice food. They even have games inside if you want to have some fun, which we did. Friendly staff.

Good, but way too expensive. Charging €15 for a piece of burrata that's actually mozzarella is unacceptable. The prices make you expect main courses. Instead, you get nano appetizers.
