Lucias Restaurant in Stadshart

I was always very satisfied with this restaurant because you got good food for a reasonable price. But my experience last week was disappointing. I had ordered roasted cauliflower. Yet, a salmon amuse-bouche was casually placed in front of me; yes, it was indeed a surprise, but if someone orders a vegetarian main course, surely you check to see if an amuse-bouche with meat/fish is okay. My cauliflower had also cooled down considerably because it was apparently ready much earlier than my dining companion's dish and they had failed to keep it properly warm on the pass.

This is a great restaurant in Amstelveen where you can be sure about quality of food and drinks. I come here when I want a great cocktail, salad or a second course. They also have seasonal menu👍🏻👍🏻 Every time I enjoy spending time in Lucia's.

Descent food, excellent service!

Food was amazing, service and atmosphere is exceptional! I would definitely recommend the spicy chicken sandwich. i licked the plate clean.

It was quite quiet on Sunday evening.

We booked here for valentines day. Our daughter had to join us as we couldn't get a sitter and I must say the restaurant was very accommodating. Restaurant was decorated nicely for Valentines and the atmosphere was good. Food was delicious, chocolate lava cake was amazing but the parfait was very icy and not that great. Maybe my idea of a parfait is different.

The positive reviews made me curious, but what a lovely restaurant and very friendly service. Tasty, affordable dishes in a nice, warm atmosphere. Definitely worth a visit!

Thanks to Nel with a charming personality who reserved a great table for our date night and provided perfect service. Overall a fine experience and we’re definitely coming back!

The staff & service is top notch, very polite and lovely people. The food was equally great, I loved the tiger prawns and Market fish dish. The ambience was great as well.

The food was delicious and the service was very friendly. Everything looked clean and well-maintained. Because they thought we had to wait too long for our order, they offered us a drink on the house (we opted for a delicious cup of coffee after dessert).

A beautiful, large restaurant with entertainment options like books and games. There's even a play area for children. We sat comfortably on the sofa in a cozy atmosphere, full of warmth and hospitality. The starter was wonderful and delicious, the main course was delicious, but I was disappointed that the mashed potatoes came from a can, which was clearly noticeable, but otherwise well-made. The dessert was delicious. The service was excellent and friendly, and the menu was well explained. The prices are reasonable. We will definitely eat with you again.

We had a great meal. At times, we felt like all the staff were working just fine, even the management. No small plates with a shared starter, a single set of cutlery, or having to ask for a new course. They exuded luxury, and the meals were also excellent, but the overall impression wasn't quite lived up to.

We had our Christmas dinner menu here. Enjoyed the atmosphere, great food and good service from staff. Will come again.

Had lunch with colleagues and ordered the truffle lasagna. My dinner companions chose steak, while I deliberately chose the lasagna because of the truffle. The truffle was nowhere to be tasted. There was absolutely no truffle in it. I asked the waitress about this, and she went back to the kitchen to inquire (she initially looked puzzled and said she didn't know there was supposed to be truffle in it). She came back and lied that the lasagna should have contained truffle. This is pure fraud—truffle is a delicate addition and a defining element of the flavor—if I had known this beforehand, I would have chosen a different dish. The starter, the duck breast, wasn't particularly special in terms of taste either. It looks like a fancy restaurant, but the quality of the cuisine is poor—and lying about the truffle in a dish is truly unacceptable.

Preparation of the main course (chicken) is not suitable for Austrians.

We came here because it's one of the few places that accepts dinner gift certificates. Lunch was decent and inexpensive. Lucia's is in the lobby of an apartment hotel, and there are expats (?) working there. The rest of the restaurant area was empty, so there wasn't much atmosphere. The service wasn't bad, but we had to go to the counter twice ourselves (for coffee and the bill).

Excellent cuisine and service. There were seven of us, each with a different wish. So we tried almost everything. Absolutely delicious and as a bonus the service was always with a smile and willingness. Thank you for the experience ❤️

Friendly staff and delicious food!

Very good food and even better staff. The atmosphere is very cozy and “gezellig”.

We arrived quite late but were still able to dine. The children immediately received a coloring game menu. There's also a play area. The chef was openly cooking and made delicious dishes. We had an appetizer, main course, and dessert. Everything was included. The service was excellent. Definitely worth repeating.

Lucia’s is the restaurant inside the lobby of the Cityden Stadshart hotel. All the staff are superbly trained, friendly and very professional. I am so impressed as most of the staff are students i believe. The Chef had a seasonal menu which looks very impressive. I ordered the seasonal vegetable soup that was bursting with flavour so so good, roasted carrots with labneh and grilled salmon with creamy spinach sauce and more roasted vegetables. My son loves salmon and said it was excellent! The labneh was also interesting a little lighter than authentic labneh (maybe a dash of creme ?) but very tasty nonetheless. I actually used the spinach sauce from the salmon as well as a dollop of the labneh in the soup and it complemented it even further. I would say the labneh could benefit from a pinch of salt and the soup a bit less salt. The beef tartareis exquisite and far superior than the same dish i had at the Brasserie in Ouderkerk. Talented Chef ! Bravo. Oh yes and we also had pancakes for breakfast which my son said were possibly the best pancakes better than his mothers and she makes excellent pancakes 😀

I recommend this restaurant for dieters because of the small portions. It's not bad, but it's not good either.

Lovely restaurant. Whilst I didn’t have lunch or dinner here, but only breakfast, I learnt a lot about their culture - they are keen on making sure that they give the best service. Fresh ingredients are used and their space is always clean.

The food was good, but the young waiter had no sense of hospitality at all. He was strict, not friendly and unfortunately made the experience unpleasant. Too bad, because the restaurant itself has a lot of potential.

Great food. Nice atmosphere. We had a 3-course menu from the Lidl restaurant weeks. They had matching wines. They were a great match. Nice staff in the service. Only 1 tip for the service. A black or white blouse is a bit more chic than a t-shirt. Because the chefs did have uniformity.

Very good breakfast with good quality products and impeccable service

During a training from work (organized in one of the rooms at Cityden) I was allowed to eat something at Lucia's. Had a delicious meal! No buffet, but served at the table. Delicious bread with various toppings (ham/cheese, cheese, salmon, avocado/tomato), tomato soup and two different types of salads. Was delicious!

We came here as a group of seven, and thanks to the online reservation, everything went smoothly. Service was excellent, and the menu offered a solid selection. Unfortunately, all of our dishes were a bit bland and lacked the finesse you’d expect at this price point. As a hotel restaurant, it’s fine—but not worth a trip just for the food.

We've been to Lucia's two times now, and both times were excellent. We got great service and recommendations from the Italian waiter and the food was really good!

We were the only ones there. Probably because it is a little further from the shopping center. It is worth taking a walk here. The food is excellent and the service is very friendly. We had club sandwich. That was tasty. and Eggs Benidict with avocado: a sublime combination! Are you a big eater? Then take something with it. Or after 😉

Ate here with the Gamma dinner voucher. Food is good, but so little that even as a small eater I was still hungry after a three-course menu. Booked 6pm. Appetizer arrived at 6:30 PM. 7 p.m. the main meal and half past eight the dessert. Really not worth the money. At peak there were 5 tables occupied. Lots of waiting, little food and expensive. Park on Carmenlaan and walk 500 meters as a tip if you want to park for free.

It's a nice restaurant with good food. I myself had the club sandwich which was tasty, they have quite some options for the lunch menu. Service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was in a hotel so sadly it was quite empty, I'd say check them out if you want to try a new spot in the Amstelveen center area.

Beautiful restaurant but terrible service. The hotel reception staff are the ones who serve the tables. After an hour of waiting for a Caesar salad and several complaints about the delay, a salad was served just like the one a customer had just arrived. When we complained again they said we could leave without any empathy and without serving us food. It should be said that it was 9:30 pm and all other places were already closed.

This restaurant deserves all the praise! We dined here twice now, and both times were absolutely amazing. The first time, I tried the “Pasta of the Day” and it was unbelievably fresh and flavourful. On my second visit, I couldn’t resist getting the pasta again, and it did not disappoint! The creativity and taste in their daily specials is something to look forward to each time. As if that wasn’t enough, my husband got the burger and he said it was phenomenal—juicy, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavour. The attention to detail in the food and the warm, welcoming atmosphere really set this place apart. The service was attentive without being overbearing, making the whole experience even better. We can’t wait to go back! If you’re looking for a place that consistently delivers both quality and creativity, this is it. Highly recommend!

The service was extremely slow although the restaurant wasn’t crowded , the food was of bad quality. One burger was still raw … would not recommend

Truly amazing dinner we had! Our food was sooooo delicious. We had a chefs platter, catch of the day and the burger. All was on point and exceeded our expectations. The service is very professional and what happens rarely super attentive. We came with an infant, and our baby got a high chair and some fruits, a glass of water. We can very highly recommend this place for a really good meal at a decent price.

Went here on two consecutive days because my parents liked the first meal. However, they charged us €7 for a bottle of water on the first day when we asked if there was tap. The next day we didn’t order drinks and the response from the waitress was quite unpleasant. She also placed the order wrong (ordered steak but got salmon). Lastly she told us to pay the bill at the cashier when we got the bill for our table the day before. Apart from that the food was ok and the interior designs were pretty nice.

Dinner with a great ambience and food. Very good service and excellent food. The portion size is apt for 1 person hence better to order a dish each. All the dishes were flavorful and at the perfect level of flavour. The homemade chilli jam was too good as an accompaniment. Overall an great evening with beautiful weather.

The cauliflower risotto, the pea soup and the dark chocolate mousse was ABSOLUTELY delish!!!

Surprisingly brilliant good by chef Dareck .. delicious flavours. And a good pinotage to accompany a very good meal !

On January 16, we had lunch here with 8 people. I had made a reservation in advance, which went well when I finally found a Dutch-speaking woman. When we arrived our table turned out to have been given to another group. After 5 minutes there was a new table. Lunch was not served at the same time, there was at least 10 minutes in between. The club sandwich was really sub par. A dollop of avocado on the top part and seasoned chicken and a little sauce on the bottom part. The pasta and truffle egg were good. We won't be back anytime soon

Had lunch here recently and am very positive. The service was friendly, the interior attractive and the food was also delicious! The map is indeed a bit smaller, but it does contain some more special things that you don't find everywhere. I will definitely come back here again.

Great restaurant! Very good value for money, the food is very good!

Enjoyed having dinner here with my family, the food was tasty and full of flavour. The atmosphere was nice, the waiter was helpful with deciding food options. However, the meals took a long while to be prepared. There was a lengthy delay with the mains coming out, so I’d suggest you visit when you’re not in a haste. They were kind enough to compensate the lengthy delay with a discount in our bill.

Lovely place, wonderful staff, we had dinner with them 3 evenings, we were two families with 4 children. They welcomed us with extraordinary kindness. The children were given paints and children to colour, they were entertained by the staff and made to have fun. the food very good. We really recommend it wholeheartedly, Mario (of Italian origins) and his staff were special to us.

Had the bar made me hot chocolate with Bailey's... and it was good! Thank you 🙂

Please DONT visit this restaurant for dinner! You will get a TERRIBLE experience: you can wait for 1.5h for food, everything is bland and blah, poor waiters are running around because of an overpowered and disorganised kitchen. What a disaster. Good idea terribly done.

I'm a vegetarian and asked for a ceaser salad without the bacon. The person who accidentally calls himself a "chef" said NO. He knows absolutely nothing about food services. He needs training. Terrible terrible service. Do not go even near to this place which disguised itself as a restaurant, it is not.

We went for the second time to this restaurant recently as we had a very nice diner the first one. What a disappointment! The portions were quite small and not very tasty. I ordered the catch of the day that were supposed to be salmon, but got another fish. The vegetables that were served with it were tasteless and not seasoned at all. The polenta fries were burned and smashed (waiter offered some discount on the bill because of that, which was nice). We ordered also flammenkuechen with goat cheese. The amount of cheese was very low and the taste was also not very nice. That is really a pity, because the place is very nice and close by our place, but we will not come again :(

They serve dinner from 6 pm but you can sit and have some drink before 6. Food and service are good.

The staff is very friendly. It might not be everybody's taste as a hamburger for 18 euro might look expensive but it is taste a lot better then at a famous place in the neighborhood. If you do not speak English very well that might be a problem as many of the staff do not speak Dutch and even the menu is English only even when the other side has enough space for Dutch

The difference between the warm welcoming at the reception of the hotel and the “service” given in the restaurant is quite astonishing. The team is either inexperienced or just do not give a damn about the customer. There were no extra chicken(extra) for the salad and I was served a salad without eggs. The plate was sent and I received a poor salad with 1 poor boiled egg. On top of that, what a nice publicity for the restaurant when you hear the chef yelling the f* word in every sentence. Disappointed.

A highly recommended restaurant. We will return here. Hopefully soon.

Friendly staff while we stayed at the city den

The staff at Lucias are very inexperienced and frankly they have no idea how to run a restaurant. Ignoring customers for very long time is ordinary here.

I went there with low expectations because it was not somewhere I picked but i must admit I had the best steak ever I had in Netherlands. I was literally trying out all steakhouses in Netherlands and newer satisfied with the quality of the meat. Definetly coming here again with my family

We had the chicken, salmon and steak for dinner and they were absolutely delicious. Very pretty interior too.

Phew, what a delicious meal we had here tonight. Refined, spicy, portions that are not too large or small, friendly service, delicious house wine, we will definitely come back!
