Expensive, questionable quality, limited menu, and once we ordered, the dishes weren't available and we had to order again. Don't go.

The person who serves is very friendly, there are several food options, they have the menu in several languages ​​(they use a tablet and when you order your order arrives at the table in a short time) and it is a very nice space, I recommend it.

Delicious Hutspot, and very nice staff! And in the center of Amsterdam, a five-minute walk from Dam Square! It was a no-brainer to book online.

When we arrived, we were warmly welcomed. When we arrived at our table, we were given a tablet to order our food and drinks. Nothing was explained about how it worked, and it was very unclear. When we finally managed to order, half of us didn't get our food. Only after 15 minutes, when we asked where it was, did a man who didn't work here come over and ask what was wrong, but we didn't know if he worked there. When someone who did work here came, she said that one pancake was missing because it was cold. Short, not to be criticized.

We ordered two sole for €65 each, which were barely cooked, but we received uncooked potatoes, which you also have to order and pay extra for. When we tried to send the potatoes back, a waiter looked at us a few times but ignored us. After more than fifteen minutes, we walked forward and were given another batch of almost uncooked potatoes. For this price, it's simply outrageous.

Nice place and good service from the waiters. I can't say the same about the food: we ordered a typical stew with mashed potatoes, but the meat didn't taste like meat and the mashed potatoes were bland and tasted like instant mashed potatoes. We also ordered a mixed plate of appetizers: all fried food. I wouldn't go back.

Went back in years ago, and the staff just didn't speak Dutch. We barely had any Dutch food. Let's just ignore that for now. We didn't get what we ordered. We wanted warm Coco, which was lukewarm, not warm. The staff didn't even know what an "uitsmijter" (fried bread) was, let alone how to make one. The bread was definitely not from today, and what we had to pay for afterward was a real scandal. Well, never again for us.

The service was excellent; the two pancakes arrived quickly. Unfortunately, there weren't enough toppings, and some were unevenly browned. Salt, pepper, syrup, and powdered sugar could be added at your discretion. The ambiance was interesting, but the decor and restrooms weren't clean.

The service was excellent. It’s the first time having hutspot. A bit simple for the price you pay compared to other restaurants.

Desserts were defrosted and bulk-bought. Just to eat a mediocre cheesecake i had to remove three layers of paper and wood. It was funny and not worth it. When we just asked for some tap water they told us that they only sell it in bottles. You go in every restaurant and you can have it with no problem but not here ;) The staff were arguing between them about who has to do the cleaning. The drinks were way too sweet. Atmosphere was like in a dungeon. I was so happy to go out of this place. A woman at a table next to us was really thirsty and was screaming “Water please” and no reaction from the host…

Avoid this restaurant. It is a tourist trap. The pancake I ordered was inedible. The server asked if I wanted recommendations and then suggested the savory pancake was what a person eats in Amsterdam.

We stopped for lunch and had savory pancakes, which I have to say were quite good. The prices were in line with the rest of the city, so unfortunately, they were quite high. Unfortunately, there was a mistake in the bill that my wife noticed, and the staff was quick to fix it.

I walked past so many times and never went in before… what a mistake! Amazing service and lovely food. My son was grumpy from shopping but the staff spent time to cheer him up going above and beyond! Classic, tasty dutch pancakes and a nice touch that the kids food comes with a coin to use at the toy machine. Will be coming back again, the bar area looked great for evening too!

The pancake was very thick and not tasty, especially not for the price. I would happily move on :) The atmosphere was excellent thanks to my friendly boyfriend, but not the staff.

The cocktails are very expensive. We ordered a piña colada and a daiquiri, and it looked like colored water. Terrible.

We were only table left at 7:30pm so atmosphere was poor, possibly better as a lunch place. Staff were friendly and food was decent (from a varied, pancake-based menu). Further downsides were a damp smell indoors and very basic toilets.

The portions are quite good, and the breakfast sandwiches are really good, although the bread isn't a panini, as the menu says. The iced latte only has milk in it and no coffee; you can barely taste it. I ordered a pancake with Nutella, and there was very little cream and Nutella, not like in the pictures, but like a few drops accidentally dropped onto the pancake.

We loved it. From the moment we arrived, with the Spanish-language tablet service for ordering food, to the attentiveness of Devi from Nepal, who was an excellent professional! We had a delicious savory chicken crepe and some small sausages with garlic bread. Everything was good and at reasonable prices. Our guide Dyanne recommended it to us, and she was absolutely right on the mark. It's in the middle of the tourist crowd, but it's tucked away in an alley, so it was PERFECT!

I went out to lunch with my family. My brother and I ordered the "hutspot." Terrible, terrifying, disastrous. I've seen cat food that looked better and certainly tasted better. I had to leave the whole plate because I couldn't eat it without gagging. The meat they serve isn't even minced meat; it's canned meat, it looks like pet food. The mashed potatoes and carrots that came with it are also terrible, tasteless. The worst thing is that it costs more than €20 a plate. An armed robbery. My father ordered the pea soup, which was pretty bad, but edible. My mother ordered some kind of salmon toast, and it was good. The best were the garlic bread and the mini spring rolls. 👍 Also, we asked for tap water because 75cl bottles cost €7, and they refused us. In the Netherlands, as in Spain, by law, since July 2022, restaurants must serve you tap water free of charge. Scammers.

The pancake was good and and all but it was just a regular pancake nothing outstanding and 15€ for a couple bananas and nutella on top is just insane. I probably wouldn't come back. I did like that you could to order with a tablet tho.

Nice restaurant but very average and very expensive food. Tasteless vegetables, no seasoning in the salad, meat too spicy. Very disappointed.

The garlic panini was bland and not crispy. It could have been a bit crispier, but now it was soggy. The bitterballen were just normal, which is good that the staff tried to speak Dutch. That's not the case in many shops in Amsterdam. Ordering via a tablet is ideal.

Pleasant lunch with basic service next to the busy shopping area. You are expected to order using an electronic screen. The food was decent and filling.

We ate here on the recommendation of our Sandemans guide, Germán, to try typical Amsterdam dishes. We tried the Bittergarnittuur and the Warme Appeltaart, and they were both delicious, along with excellent service.

Delicious Dutch pancakes and great flavours at Lucien’s, but service was extremely slow, and the toilets were dirty. Worth visiting for the food, but be prepared for long waits and poor cleanliness.

We were recommended by a tour guide. The food is good, but the 10-20 price range isn't accurate; a meal with a drink costs 30 euros.

Expensive food. The guy from the Lovers' Tour recommended it to me, and they're sure to get a commission. But there are cheaper places. Ordering on a tablet is very confusing.

Went in for food, waited 10 minutes to order, with 6 members of staff and 2 tables.. 2 more tables came in and were waiting even longer. And then all of us waited to place food orders. The other 2 tables that arrived after had to ask, we ultimately left. Wrong order was put through the till for the drinks, got challenged when we asked for it to be changed and had to evidence it with the empty bottles. Really poor service

Very expensive for the quantity. The kebab pancake was okay, but the ratio of quantity, quality, and the rather high price isn't right. The food and drinks arrived quite quickly. Orders were easy to place using the table tablet.

Terrible atención al cliente. Utiliza el sistema de pedidos de tabletas que no funciona bien y los camareros no ayudan con nada ni lo vigilan. El menú es mediocre y mi comida estaba mal cocinada y sosa. No les importa en absoluto la experiencia del cliente.

It has a very calm and inviting atmosphere, yet the pancakes were sickening. Raw and burned at the same time. Undercooked bacon, wet, overpriced, but well seasoned. I don’t know about the other dishes, but I personally DON’T recommend the pancakes.

I don't recommend it for the location, service, or food. I tried the typical meat dish with gravy and mashed potatoes. I left the whole thing and no one asked. The croquettes were good.

We came recommended by our free tour guide, after making sure that it was a place where the guides and local people themselves went to eat frequently. They assured us that they would serve food from here. Our surprise was when we went and that night they only served “pancakes”. Since we were already there we decided to stop by. The pancake was completely raw in the center, you couldn't eat it. We told the waiter, who was very decisive and immediately tried to offer us a solution, making us the pancake again. The second one arrived burnt on top and the dough was raw. He told us that they were already ready and that they only heated them there, that they had tried to leave it more time for the inside to be done, but the result was not good. The waiter saw it and understood, canceling this order. We had to leave and had dinner somewhere else.

We were recommended by our guide to try typical Dutch dishes. They give you a tablet (it's in Spanish) and you choose what you want. Once you have it, you accept and they bring you the order. We, being 2, went up to order, taking into account that the hutspot is a lot, especially for dinner, but it was good, since the waiter was not there we did not know how big the portions were. We also ordered a varied plate of fried foods where there was fried cheese, spring rolls (these were very simple) and the famous bitterballen. The place is very well decorated and the service took a little while, but effective.

The taste of the coffee was very bad, not worth 7 euro. We never regretted the money we spent on the things we ate and drank in the places we lived in Amsterdam, but this place was a complete fiasco. Also, the gentleman who I thought was the owner was very rude. While we were eating and drinking something, I asked the gentleman inside if I could get water from the fountain, and he snapped very rudely. He might have been right, but the way he spoke was very disturbing. I definitely do not recommend!!!

Het interieur is echter wel heel leuk & instagramable. Wij zaten ook enorm slecht… tip: kies een tafeltje van 4 dan zit je niet op zo’n slechte plaats

We were recommended after a free tour where they casually told us that by law we could request a bottle of tap water and they denied it. I follow the instructions in our guide and give it a one-star review, which as she says is like a tattoo. The food without more. The service was poor, as we waited more than a quarter of an hour and the place was empty. The atmosphere more of the same. One and no more.

The food portions were rather small except for the pancake, prices were ok. The service was acceptable, we could order on an ipad with a rather odd software but with ended up having no problems. The atmosphere was nice, a big place.
