The guide on the free tour recommended it as a typical Dutch restaurant, but it was nothing like that… I read a review that said it was cat food, and it was exactly like that… I wouldn't go back… bad recommendation

The pancakes were absolutely divine — easily the best I've ever had. They were incredibly thin, soft, and moist, topped with a perfectly balanced combination of cheese and bacon. Every bite was delicious, and they became even better when drizzled with syrup. An unforgettable breakfast treat. They were able to cater to my dietary restrictions, with a gluten free option.

Portion size is good and fairly priced for the area. They use a tablet that they leave with you for ordering, makes it’s nice for long stays because you can order food and drinks as and when you like.

I was absolutely speechless. It was wonderful to feel my tongue practically dripping from the amount of salt. A truly religious experience, to say the least. Eating made me feel very nostalgic, like I was in the school cafeteria. The waitress was very nice, and the meal was filled with laughter. P.S.: I want to emphasize the excellent quality of the salt 😉 I also want to mention the bathrooms. Even at first glance, it's dangerous for someone without a disability, at least the women's. Next to the sink, there's a tangle of wires, and underneath it, a filthy electrical outlet with a bunch of wires tangled in the bathroom pipes. I don't know about you, but even without being an engineer, I know it's dangerous. Speaking of the toilet, it's incredibly low. It's already difficult enough to use the bathroom without reduced mobility, let alone for someone with it. But that's the least of it when you see that a wheelchair can't fit in the bathroom. Besides being very narrow, you have to access it via stairs.

The restaurant, if you can even call it that, was quite cozy, although the stairs to the bathroom were as steep as Mount Everest. The customer service was wonderful, but the same can't be said for the food. The prices were high and the quality miserable. Everything seemed frozen, and they went way overboard with the salt. The hamburger meat was like chewing on bricks, and it was even rare. I'm sure the pancakes were delicious; it's a shame they were the only thing we didn't try. The typical frozen supermarket mixes and the stew were indescribable. If it's stayed open for so many years, it's clearly because it's a textbook tourist trap. Highly recommended if you want to ruin someone's day. I'd been eating nothing but junk food for a whole week, and for the food we got, I would have been better off sticking to it.

We came on the recommendation of a tour guide; we were a group of seven from Spain. It wasn't quite what we expected, to be honest, but the waitress Devi served us wonderfully. The place is cozy; we arrived at 8:30 and it was nearly empty. The portions were good, although the food was generally a bit salty. I recommend looking at the menu carefully before coming because it's hard to choose. The "typical mix" includes spring rolls, breaded ham and cheese rolls, and the croquettes are nothing like the ones in Spain—they have a different flavor and texture, and the meat is denser than in Spain. As a Spaniard, I would recommend it to a French person. At least they have roses, for whatever reason.

You could order food on a tablet or directly from the menu to the waiter. I didn't think the tablet had the same menu as the paper menu. So I ordered savory pancakes directly from the waiter according to the menu. Tasty pancakes, they just took a long time to make. It wasn't even very crowded. I asked for the bill, but it didn't come even after 15 minutes. The same waiter passed us by several times. Finally, I went inside and paid the waiter directly, because we had to leave for the airport and there was no time to waste waiting. I'm surprised at this pointless seating of a customer and making them wait at the table. I also noticed that it took a long time for the neighbor's table to get the bill.

A decent salmon salad – a good alternative to the Greek salad, for which they didn’t have all the ingredients. A narrow passageway lined with tables.

Nicely situated in the shade of one of those typical little alleyways. Prices are high, as everywhere. You place your orders yourself via tablet. The espresso is very good, served in a pre-warmed cup.

Two of us went for dinner and they don't have much variety, in my opinion, and in the end we only had one dish, which was very good but very expensive. That dish cost €21.

We were recommended this place by the free tour guide, but we didn't like it much. It was also very expensive for what it was. I regret going and wouldn't go back. The food was quite mediocre and cheap, and the price was very high for what it was.

Visiting on King's Day, two local female tourists wished us a pleasant meal. The owner served me my food first, but it seemed the female tourists had arrived first. I pointed out that it wasn't customary for ladies to have priority. The owner explained that men and women are treated equally in Europe, and the female tourists didn't seem to mind and chatted happily with me. I’ve been coming here for years, and honestly, I’ve never had better pancakes anywhere else.

The food is just okay for the price; there's not much choice. I'm uploading a picture of what we ate: fried food from a bag. The beer was expensive. The best thing was the service, but honestly, there are better places in Amsterdam. The guide from Camaleón Tours recommended it, but I wouldn't recommend it myself.

We had a great time at Luciens. The pannekoek were absolutely delicious!!! honestly some of the best I’ve ever had. Perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and just the right texture. The coffee was also very good and went perfectly with the pancakes. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere made it even better. I highly recommend it!

One of my favorite pancake houses in the city. Delicious pancakes and a great atmosphere. Ordering is all done via tablet. It's nice not to have to wait for a waiter to come to you. Service varies, sometimes very good, sometimes a bit of a wait. But hey, I don't rush to a pancake house, so I personally didn't mind.

Expensive, questionable quality, limited menu, and once we ordered, the dishes weren't available and we had to order again. Don't go.

When we finally managed to order, half of us didn't get our food. Only after 15 minutes, when we asked where it was, did a man who didn't work here come over and ask what was wrong, but we didn't know if he worked there. When someone who did work here came, she said that one pancake was missing because it was cold. Short, not to be criticized.

We ordered two sole for €65 each, which were barely cooked, but we received uncooked potatoes, which you also have to order and pay extra for. When we tried to send the potatoes back, a waiter looked at us a few times but ignored us. After more than fifteen minutes, we walked forward and were given another batch of almost uncooked potatoes. For this price, it's simply outrageous.

Nice place and good service from the waiters. I can't say the same about the food: we ordered a typical stew with mashed potatoes, but the meat didn't taste like meat and the mashed potatoes were bland and tasted like instant mashed potatoes. We also ordered a mixed plate of appetizers: all fried food. I wouldn't go back.
