Lucky House in Jordaan

I ate six fried dumplings. They were good. The noodle soup was delicious. There's no ventilation inside, so you might smell food. There are tables outside to sit at.

Best birthday dinner ever!!! We ate incredibly good (both vegetarian and meat), were met again with the friendliest staff who were so thoughtful to bring desert and a candle at the end :-) As always, tasty food, good service, good prices, and still remains very authentic. Thank you so much

Sorry, but this restaurant has really gone downhill, including the prices and the takeaways? I think it's a real shame, because the food used to be good. I don't like it anymore. It's gross. It's greasy. I also think it's very expensive. I think it's really regrettable. Since this owner took over, it has become truly worthless. It's a real waste of money

Small venue, attentive staff, great, delicious food, good price!… that pretty much sums up Lucky House!!!- give it a try, they were also very busy with takeaway orders if that suits you better.

Very tasty Jianbing & roasted duck

Very good Asian food with a lot of options. The staff was very nice and accommodating offering to make the hot and sour soup without chicken. It turned out delicious!

This is definitely a westernized Asian restaurant. You can also see it in the crowd eating there. The food is served on big plates with the rice in it, unlike many Chinese places where the food is in sharable plates and you get the rice separated and easier to eat in a smaller bowl with chopsticks. We tried the sweet and sour chicken, the chicken was nicely fried but the sauce wasn't too sweet and sour. The lucky house noodles were salty, it felt a bit heavy on the soja sauce. Because the food is spread on a big plate, you feel there is more food than there is. We also tried the ha kaw and they were quite plump, but it was pureed shrimp so not sure how much shrimp this had and tasted a bit bland. It had more taste once you dipped it in the sauce. We also tried the fried lucky house dumpling with chicken and this again was bland and there was only taste when dipped in sauce. The staff were nice, specially the Asian lady at the counter. The younger waitress did forget to give us cutlery/ chopsticks so we did have to ask for them as every table had it ready except ours. But the service is quite quick, even when all the tables were full. They even give a fortune cookie at the end when you pay. The item we most appreciated was the jasmin tea. The pot used kept the drink warm until the last drop and the tea was very flowery. Also good to mention, there is a toilet close to the counter and it's quite big inside in comparison of other local eateries in Amsterdam which is great! It's not the cheapest and most of the food we ordered were a bit bland for me but you won't leave hungry afterwards.

The staff is very attentive and made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner where the food is the star of the show. I’ll definitely be coming back to try more from their menu!

Three years ago, I ate at Jordan's Jianbing Guozi (Chinese crepe) with a friend, and it was delicious. I haven't been there much in the past three years. Today, my husband and I happened to be nearby, so we stopped by for stir-fries. We ordered salt and pepper chicken; the mushrooms were very flavorful, the chicken was perfectly crispy, and even the scallions inside were delicious. They also had vegetarian potstickers. Three years have passed, and this little restaurant remains the same, staying true to its original essence, with a wonderful wok hei (wok aroma). I think if you find a restaurant delicious, you'll become a regular customer. I hope to come back often and always find something new.

The BEST Asian food in Amsterdam! I regularly come here because the food is AMAZING and the staff is soooo sweet and gentle!!! You must try: for lunch - served until 16:00- the delicious crepe (n.1 EVER) you can choose to have it vegetarian or with duck/pork/chicken, and the handmade stuffed/fried dumplings let you just touch the sky of paradise!!!! The dumplings taste is so deep and perfect! My favourite dish is the spicy chicken with vegetables (my favourite comfort food served with rice), sooo yummy 🤤 let’s see very very soon 🙏🏼

I love this place! So cozy, warm and the owners made their best to let you feel like home. During summer I love to eat outside in the beautiful neighbourhood, during wintertime inside is very comfortable and cute. Prices are very fair and portions are quite big, so a good value for money. The best part is food: delicious HANDMADE dumplings, amazing fried pork, and more and more… it’s been more than 3 years now eating in this place and always happy! I recommend also the sweet sesame balls 😍 This is one of my most loved spots in Amsterdam ♥️🙏🏼

Walked into Lucky House and immediately thought: “Wow, this is spacious… for Amsterdam.” My daughter’s stroller rolled in without me having to perform a 12-point parking maneuver. Already a win. Food was great, prices were reasonable, and the toilet was suspiciously clean — like “did I just enter a different country?” clean. There’s also a tiny fish bowl aquarium that somehow gives the place a wholesome vibe. Small fish, big personality. Service was super warm. We were loud, chaotic, hogging the seats like we were paying monthly rent… and nobody even hinted at kicking us out. Respect. And the best part: Their spicy level is actually Asian spicy.

The staff were very nice and friendly. Food is not very expensive but it is definitely not amazing. The best from we ordered is jianbing, which was pretty tasty. The other food we ordered including the soup and xiaolongbao were, to be honest, pretty bad in my opinion. Skin of xiaolongbao was broken and there was absolutely no soup in them as it was supposed to be. The soup we had tasted really like water with a bit of the dish washing soup.

Such a lovely restaurant food amazing staff were lovely. Grate way to end a weekend away.

What was this? I'm here to get something I've already gotten 30 times. The woman behind the counter says: don't you want this, is it the same? I say, "Uh, okay" (because it's cheaper). It's not the same. Not in any way. Not the preparation. Not the noodles. Not the quantity. Don't do that again.

I come here really often, especially because they're so nice and the food is oh so delicious! Definitely worth 1000 stars!💫

10/10 food from a Chinese girl - it really doesn’t get much better than this. I ordered the chicken steamed dumplings & ravioli soup. Both dishes were excellent. The dumpling and ravioli skin literally had the perfect texture and bite. Everyone here were so kind & showed warm hospitality. Thank you, it was such a pleasure to visit!

This is our local Chinese restaurant, and we come here maybe twice a month. It's good food and good service that hits that spot to round off a nice weekend.

Good was very good, we took lean pork and ma po tofu vegetarian, north China dumpling, everything was delicious. The staff doesn't speak well English but it was expected. Price are OK. I like the fact that they also have a smaller plate to choose so if you want something to teat yourself you don't have to order a big plate and you might do it more often.

Es un restaurante de gestión familiar (y para llevar) y ha estado allí durante muchos años atendiendo principalmente a una clientela local. Me pasé con unos amigos familiarizados con Lucky House. No soy un experto en comida china (muchos platos asiáticos disponibles), pero disfruté de grandes rollos de primavera y pollo satay, todos los cuales eran muy sabrosos y con buena relación calidad-precio. Mi amigo va allí regularmente. El servicio era amable y el lugar estaba lleno. ¡Así que están haciendo algo bien!

I had a great experience there. I ordered their specialty: tofu with assorted meat, shrimp and vegetables. The food was delicious and authentic. Good portion and great value for money. Undercooked spring rolls. Too much onion. 2 chicken pieces. Bami tastes burnt. No, not the Lucky House we knew anymore. Shame

We used to love Lucky House Amsterdam, especially the duck with bami, which was always a favorite. However, over the past few months, the quality has gone downhill dramatically. Firstly, we’ve noticed unpleasant surprises in our meals—stray hairs and other materials that absolutely should not be in food. This has happened multiple times now, which is unacceptable. Secondly, the duck, which was once flavorful and delicious, is now drowned in an absurd amount of oil. It’s not only disgusting but also makes us question the quality of the oil used—it tastes like cheap, overused cooking oil. And to top it all off, after tonight’s meal, I’m feeling physically sick. This was the last straw, and we will never order from here again. It’s a shame to see such a once-loved dish ruined like this. Do better, Lucky House. You’ve lost loyal customers.

I just found a metal string in my food, and a few months ago, there was also a long hair. While the food is undeniably delicious, these incidents make me seriously question the quality and hygiene standards, especially regarding the things I can’t see.

Lucky House is one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam! I'm from The Hague and every time I'm in Amsterdam I DEFINITELY have to come here. By the way, their rice is always made perfectly. I will definitely order that with their 'black bean pork' and their dumplings...a gift from heaven. Really and truly! I went for the vegetarian dumplings and normally I don't like vegetarian options at all, but the dumplings are highly recommended. Well, I believe that eating out is not just about the food but also the experience. The employees are TOP. Always sweet. Always happy. This is exactly what I like. COZY. Lucky House passed. ✅✅
