The food here was really top-notch! It was prepared fresh, and the ingredients looked fresh too. Highly recommended: sweet and sour chicken with noodles (see photo). This dish cost approximately €14. The owner and his wife were also very friendly! Bonus: the meat is halal. We will definitely be back here.

Very good food and just the right amount of spicy

Bought a Tofu and Veg Oyster sauce takeaway from here and it was really not good. It had no flavor and extremely oily. The ratio between rice and the other components were also very off. Would not recommend and cannot understand why the ratings look this good….

Yu Family Kitchen was a complete disaster. The noodles were overcooked, the meat was undercooked, and the whole meal felt careless and unpleasant. Easily one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had.

It's a small family-run shop; the dishes taste like regular home-style stir-fries, quite delicious, with generous portions and reasonable prices. The owner is also very nice.

Sichuan tofu was very tasty, good spice and was fresh. Staff was very nice, food didn’t take long and we could hear it being prepared. I just wish the portions were bigger because the food was great.

This is not real Chinese cooking. I took a Yu Xiang sauce With my noodles and the Sichuan style was very far from it. My wife took the sweet and sour sauce and it was not better. Noodles and rice are intrinsically very basic. Staff was nice.

Definitely the ugliest meat I've ever eaten. Gelatinous texture and in an even worse sauce. The shrimp didn't taste fresh. The rice and vegetables saved it. €16.50 wasted, I don't recommend it.

A small restaurant with 4-5 indoor seats. The service is reserved, but not unfriendly. We waited about 10 minutes for our takeaway food. It was well-seasoned, and the noodles and rice were very tasty. The vegetables were crisp-tender, and the portion size was good for the price. One star deducted for the meat—both the chicken and beef had an unusual texture. Overall, absolutely fine 👍

They have an allergen menu, although we didn't understand each other very well because of the language barrier. I ordered a gluten-free chicken mix with rice and vegetables. Then they brought soy sauce that contained gluten. They were friendly and quick. My friends loved the food.

Friendly faces serve you, you can see into the kitchen. The food is cooked fresh in front of you, it tastes authentic and delicious. Good value for money also :)

Aside from the attractive price, avoid this place... If you enjoy and are familiar with Chinese cuisine, go elsewhere. The beef is of questionable quality, the vegetables aren't fresh, and everything is swimming in sauce. The tables are greasy and sticky. The staff is unfriendly and stares at you while you eat.

I ordered “Yu Special Mix with oyster sauce.” The taste here is ready and good!! I love it! While there are many Cantonese Chinese dishes, this one is very delicious. I think it's the closest to Taiwanese and Chinese cuisine. The owner is a husband and wife team, and they're very friendly and kind, so I always get takeout. 😊

Fu Family Kitchen is a hidden gem! Run by a lovely husband and wife team, you can really feel the warmth and care they put into both the food and the service. We ordered two dishes, and both were absolutely delicious—made with fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked. The restaurant is spotlessly clean, and the prices are incredibly reasonable & much cheaper than other places nearby, yet with top-quality food. The customer service was very friendly and welcoming, making the whole experience feel like a home-cooked meal. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic Chinese cuisine, tasty food at great for value!

Having eaten there several times during my various stays, I can only recommend it. A small family restaurant, the chef cooks fresh vegetables, it's excellent and inexpensive.

Wow, you wouldn't think so based on its location in the city. But what a surprise! Super good, fresh Chinese food, and very affordable! Comparable to what I've eaten in the better street food restaurants in Beijing or Shanghai. These people deserve a top location in Amsterdam Noord (provided they can scale up with the right Chinese chefs). Not too many options, stick with the meals you currently offer, but top quality! Heng hao!

This small restaurant was discovered by chance. Located right in the city center, you're surrounded by people and tourists 24/7, but the dishes served are truly excellent for those who enjoy Chinese cuisine. Prices are reasonable for a central location...about 8-15 euros per dish, obviously depending on your choice. It was a pleasant dinner. :)

Atmosphere felt very unwelcoming.Food was okay,but it’s not the best.The lady seemed like she didn’t want us at the restaurant,to be fair it was late at night but there was no sign that I saw for the time it was more walk down the alley and see what’s still open and It was our first time in Amsterdam.Little bit disappointed I should’ve walked away from the restaurant and got something else.Not a big fan.

Located in the heart of Amsterdam's city center, this small, halal restaurant features Chinese chefs. However, the food lacked authentic Chinese flavor. While the prices were reasonable, the food itself was quite basic and the portions were small; you might need a snack afterward to stay full while sightseeing. We tried the beef and peanut chicken dishes; the beef was enjoyable, but the chicken was just okay. I wouldn't return for another meal, although the chefs were friendly and the location is very convenient.

Usually, when you think of Chinese restaurants in Europe, you would imagine things like very salty, very sweet, very greasy... but instead, it has a lighter feel and a lighter feel. In particular, it landed right at Amsterdam Central Station, but it was rainy and cloudy? Then, you can throw your luggage in the hotel or coin locker and come to this house. It's not easy to get a hot Chinese rice bowl at this price in the middle of downtown Amsterdam. In particular, the shrimp rice bowl stir-fried in oyster sauce is very luxurious because it has the taste of Yu Xiang sauce, and eating the beef rice bowl with Yu Xiang sauce and sprinkling the spicy sauce on the table will fill your stomach.

So delicious, we got black bean sauce with chicken and shrimp. And beef with oyster sauce. Food was 10/10, hit a spot for Chinese food while traveling. Owner was so kind, we came close to close but was invited in. Homestyle food.

We genuinely go out of our way to eat here, it's so good and the fact you can get sauces that are gluten free is excellent. I imagine the cross contamination is pretty high so be careful, but my wife isn't bothered by it.

#1 and #13. Good flavor. Both meats were very tender and the sauce wasnt too spicy. We opted for egg fried rice for an extra 1.00. I feel it wasn't worth the money to upgrade. I would try them again.

Lovely friendly staff . The food was nice and piping hot . I had sweet & sour chicken with noodles . There are no steps into the restaurant. So not suitable if you are in a wheelchair as my sister is , but they did have seating outside as well as inside. Halal certificate. No pork .

Terrible treatment, 4 friends went to eat and they made a mistake with a dish and they didn't want to change it or return the money. The cook comes out screaming at us and treating us terribly. Without wanting to admit his mistake, neither giving the money, nor providing the dish that was requested. My friend ended up leaving without eating and without the money, and the rest of us eating with a bad atmosphere from the cook. Don't go there, you little shameless and hard-faced person.

Very bad treatment, the cook started yelling at us because we had complained to him about his confusion of a dish that we had ordered, he became all upset and told us that there was no confusion, in the end I no longer want to eat that dish that I have not lost and I ask them I want them to give me the money back for my plate, the chef was most upset to know what things he would be telling us. I was left without eating and without the money that that dish cost me. Totally, we will never repeat in a place like this. They yell at you for complaining about their mistake, and they also don't take responsibility for their mistake. They don't know how to treat customers.

Great value food and really tasty. I was craving something like this so much after all the fried food I’d had on my trip and it was great. I got the chicken in black bean sauce for €10 and it was perfect. The rice was lovely and it came quickly.

The rice is not fresh and you can tell it’s been taken out of the fridge, meat is questionable and likely to be frozen or prepped in advance.
