There is a big difference between the appearance of the place and the quality of the products inside. We ate a gluten-free chocolate cake, and it tasted really bad. It was really poor for the price…

The coffee was good & great service! Very overpriced for what you get though, a small latte with syrup is almost €6 & the larger size is almost €8. Unfortunately, the cardboard type lids don’t fit the cups properly. When setting my drink down, the top came undone & caused me to spill it. I would recommend changing to plastic, like the smaller espresso cups. There’s also a toilet available upstairs.

The cafe looked cute and the atmosphere was nice, but the cake tasted absolutely frozen and was ridiculously expensive, even for the center of Amsterdam. I don't think I'll be back..🍰😨

Lucy's is now called "Sophie's" Very pink and girly, but also very friendly and delicious.

The cakes were delicious. 👆👆👆But there were no price tags anywhere!!! You have to wait half an hour to ask how much everything costs, especially if there are other customers ahead. If there had been price tags everywhere, there would have been no need to bother the seller. We paid €23.40 for two cakes. That's expensive for me. I thought cakes were €5-8.

They claim to serve specialty coffee yet they serve overpriced subpar coffee cups. I ordered a flat white and I got a burnt coffee. Couldn’t even drink it because of how hot it was. As I told the girl working there, she seemed upset. They remade my coffee, only that this time I got a frothy cappuccino instead of my flat white. If you want quality coffee, avoid at all costs. Don’t get fooled by the ‘fancy’ look. It seems they don’t even know what they’re doing.

A TOURIST TRAP!!!!!!! We visited Lucy’s cafe on 30th August, as we were in Amsterdam for the day and have been there before two years ago and really enjoyed our experience and the dessert and drinks. This time round though it was very different. We purchased two cold drinks, two hot drinks, a tiramisu and three chocolate cacao desserts. On the board it said the amount for the drinks and said cakes were 9 euro so we knew how much roughly the total would be. When it came to payment, the staff member just inputted it all on the till and as soon as we’d paid, my travel card notification came up with an amount of 89 euros! Straight away we asked for the receipt as we knew something was very wrong! We are from the UK and for sure know four drinks and four desserts does not cost £68! Soon as we got the receipt, the same staff member who served us suddenly disappeared. We then checked reviews on Google and were horrified to see the bad reviews from other people. We just wished we had checked prior to going. For a start, the cafe was completely dead so maybe that was a warning sign. When we asked the other member of staff how much the same dessert is, he said 14 euros, then said 9 euros, so clearly the costs are made up on the spot. Such an awful experience and a shame to see how the place has gone. Would definitely avoid!

Expensive - unfortunately, it's not justified. Watery iced matcha latte, the milk isn't even briefly frothed. Other drinks are unspectacular. Far too expensive for that. Visually nice shop, but that's it...

The food is good, but they don't clearly display prices for each item. So you expect it to be cheap. I was personally shocked to pay €28 for a single slice of cheesecake, a macaron, and a coffee. And to think they just get it from Sligro. We saw them unpack the items. Unfortunately for us, it felt like we hadn't eaten anything unique and it was way too expensive.

Scam! Paid €26 for 2 pastries and a drink. All the pastries are from Sligro! We saw the boxes. Shameless.

I went to LUCY'S in Amsterdam – what a cute place! The strawberry chocolate cheesecakes are super delicious – creamy, fruity, and perfectly sweet. The presentation is also absolutely beautiful. Perfect for a break during a stroll through the city.

i love the vibe and was so excited to go but the energy was not there, didn’t have good service and my matcha was lacking so hard!! it barely tasted like matcha. it didn’t have a weird flavour just an extremely light flavour!! it’s so cute and aesthetic inside tho and the decor is on top. all i had was the matcha but i wont go back… and it was really expensive

We paid over €30 for two drinks (chai and iced latte) and two slices of cake. The cake (€9!! each) was unfortunately quite dry. We wouldn't go there again.

What they promise in the ads is far from what you actually get. Save yourself the disappointment—go with regular coffee. 🙄🙄🙄 for one smoothie and one coffee we paid 13€

A tourist trap. Got a Strawberry Cup with chocolate + a small caramel macchiato and paid 20 Eur 😳. They were both good but way too expensive + the Strawberry Cup's price was not displayed anywhere, so you only find out after you order and already have to pay. Sort of a scam.

Despite the yummy & delicious desserts + the comfy & cozy place ✨ Two days ago i forgot my ring in the store’s bathroom, and realised that when i was at the resort. And since it’s far away i couldn’t go back to the store and kinda lost hope to be able to find it. I came today “two days later” because my daughter loves the Rainbow cake, and i asked about it “ if “ they saw it or something. After describing the ring surprisingly the seller guy took out the ring and handed it to me 🫶🏻 Thank you so much for the amazing food and the lovely honesty 🙏🏻

I use to get their matcha latte a lot. Now they increase the price but drink taste horrible. It has strong taste of milk and barely any matcha. The quality went so much down.

So I got a matcha latte that cost exactly €7 and ended up drinking matcha that wasn't good quality because the color of the matcha latte was disgusting. I'm a matcha lover and it was the worst I've ever tasted. Water that costs €4 when even at the airport it costs €3! Avoid.

We ordered 2 small pieces of cake and a small macha late, in the end we paid €25. I think this is quite expensive for what we got. We both didn't like the macha, it was grassy and watery (could also be our taste) and the cakes were nothing special... just cake. The cafe itself was cute and the employee was also nice. But I wouldn't really recommend it, especially if you don't want to spend too much.

Coffee was great, the red velvet cake was delicious! A cute colourful cafe for a quick break in the city! They do have stroopwaffles and cookies which seemed really great. A little on the expensive side but worth it!

The matcha was horrible, it tasted disgusting. It also was very expensive (middle size was 7,50€ and vanilla syrup was 1€, €8,50 for matcha is actually insane). The barista was neutral, not nice nor rude but I did not like his vibe. For my matcha girlies: please don’t waste your money over here! He was done in like 1 minute, did not even!! use a bamboo whisk and the matcha was not fresh or fresh kind of green but like a dark mossy/shrek colour of green. I’ve tasted alot of different matchas in my life but this was the worst one ever. It tasted like fish kinda something with alot of sugar? Would not recommend it! This was such an horibble experience.

Don't come here, the prices are extremely high for small portions and unpleasant taste. A real tourist trap.

I got a smoothie here. Very tasty really not normal. A bit small (not full) but it was definitely worth the €8.50. I had the mango passion fruit peach smoothie.

We came end of March, and we LOVED the place. The young woman welcoming us was lovely, the place was clean and nicely decorated. Ice tea was 10/10 🧋😍 The pastries looked pretty good, we’ll try them next time for sure. Would definitely recommend ! 😁

I had the New York Cheesecake and an home made Ice Tea. It was pretty good but not amazing. It was also quite pricy, but so is everything in Amsterdam. The bakery itself looks very nice and cosy

I've wanted to go to this bakery for quite some time... but it was very disappointing. I ordered a matcha latte, but unfortunately it was of very poor quality. I saw the matcha jar and it had a bit of a grayish color. Furthermore, I understand that it is pricey, but for the quality it was really too expensive. We spent €30 for two drinks and two pieces of cake. The pastry was fine, but not very special. Furthermore, the staff is friendly and it looks nice, but that's all :(

Very expensive, I came for a “home made” peach iced tea, the result of Monin syrup with water and ice cubes for €6. Not really good either. The pretty decoration is the only good point of the place.

Very bad tent Not recommended! Rude staff, dirty toilet without paper, etc. If you point this out, they will laugh at you and say they don't have time. Eating McDonald's behind the counter and belching while you work, very rude. I hope the owner will hire new staff soon, it could be a very nice place!

Nice coffee but ridiculous customer service. The two rude barista ladies felt it necessary to talk and laugh out loud about different customers and their manners, while they clearly have no manners themselves. They are also very noisy when talking to each other.

Calling this place a SPECIALTY COFFEE in a huge understatement. When u go for specialty u are sure you will receive a very well crafted beverage. Unfortunately I have received lukewarm unfoamed milk instead of my flat white. In addition the waiting time was very long and the service was very unpleasant. In addition those prices are absurd. Unfortunately, we experienced that the treatment by the staff was far below expectations. During our visit we were confronted with rude behavior. When we brought this up, it led to an unpleasant situation. On a later visit to discuss the matter, we were informed that there was no time for a discussion and that we had to leave the business. We also asked for the owner's telephone number, but this was refused. It is sad to see that such an experience can damage the image of this fine company. Such as several reviews regarding the operation. A recommendation: please consider hiring new staff as soon as possible.

We stopped here to grab a quick bite, and ordered some carrot cake (which contained pistachio) and cappuccino. The coffee was good, and the cake was too (moist and with a hint of cinnamon). It’s not a bad option if you are around.

A very nice little cafe right in Rokin. Very tasty cinnamon cappuccino, and the cakes are to die for! Prices are high, but everything is worth the money. We'll be back!
