Anneke cooks a 5-course surprise menu. What a treat that is. Her husband Menno is the host and provides the drinks and does the service. With each course Anneke explains how she was inspired to prepare this dish. You learn about the different islands such as Bali, Java or Sulawesi and about the history. But you will be surprised by the flavours, the herbs and the dishes. Advice: also take the sambal ‘paring’.

Highly recommended: Anneke and her team are wonderful hosts. The food is sophisticated and culinary beyond compare. We felt like we were transported to Indonesia and were even able to take some homemade sambal home with us.

Celebrated our wedding anniversary there together tonight. What a treat to be able to enjoy the delicious dishes that Anneke prepares!! A BIG 10 for taste, atmosphere and service!

Have walked past here many times and finally had dinner here tonight. Culinary spoiled by Anneke who prepares all dishes with lots of love and attention. And you can taste that. Anneke takes Indonesian cuisine to a much higher level. She takes you on a journey, tells about her childhood in Indonesia and explains how the dish was created for each course. The dishes are each presented like paintings. Her husband serves the dishes and is a nice, attentive host. A great couple together! This address is highly recommended!

The dishes and the origins of Anneke's Kitchen are told with love. Hubby provides the drinks and humbly serves the dishes. The (cute) children also have a role in the gastronomic whole. There was something to this. Not every course tastes equally special, but this is personal. In terms of 'main' dish, I really enjoyed it; I disrespectfully call it a glorified nasi. Only (sincere) comment: be a little more generous with the portions. It is quite pricey so you can expect something in this. In all honesty, you don't have to be a big eater to have some 'cravings' after Anneke's culinary journey that you will come back to later in the evening ;-)

What an exotic surprise on Texel! Fantastic refined flavors. They cook here with so much love and passion and the guests are made to feel at home. An evening of fine dining in this restaurant is a pure treat.

Where can you find the best Indonesian food... in Texel!! Really enjoyed the variety of dishes, everything very tasty! We also opted for the alcohol-free pairing option and that was a very good experience that we will certainly choose again. We love a glass of wine but hope more restaurants will follow suit. All dishes were extensively/centrally supervised by the chef with explanations and the story behind them. Nice variation in the dishes, combinations of meat/fish/typical herbs. It was typical that we were served at all tables at the same time, but surprisingly this turned out well. It is also recommended to take the extra sambal to add some depth to the dishes. Fortunately not super spicy. The only disadvantage may be that the restaurant is only open 2 days a week ;-) We will definitely visit this restaurant again on our next visit to Texel.

We regularly eat and cook Indonesian food and have been to Indonesia before, so we are used to something. But this! This is a completely different culinary experience. Every course, every dish is enchantingly delicious. What a nice place. We'll be back soon!

Hidden gem! What a special experience and super tasty real Indonesian food. Advice: Do both the non-alcoholic drinks pairing and the Sambal tasting, unique experience!

I have zero patience nor talent to cook, therefore all of the appreciation for those who have and create a delicious night that’s a bit more than just “going out for dinner”. Loved the stories told by Anneke linked to the dishes. And i am not a fan of soup but the soto betawi i completely finished. Both Anneke and her husband are very hospitable although it may not seem like it if one enters the venue when the culinary journey had already begun and you cannot travel along. For the next time, make that reservation, it’s worth it!

Wij willen Anneke en Menno hartelijk bedanken voor een fantastische avond in hun restaurant. Een echte experience door het landschap van de indonesische keuken. Het barst van de passie, dat is te voelen door het gehele restaurant. Het thee arrangement is een absolute aanrader! Als u hier de sambal geproefd heeft, dan laat u alles liggen in de supermarkt, voortreffelijk!

'Pandai Masak' was de titel van een kookboekje van mijn moeder toen ik als kind in Indonesie woonde. Daar opgegroeid tussen de geuren en smaken die het land rijk is bezoek ik graag restaurants die indonesisch eten serveren. Wij beleefden een heerlijke avond met met geuren en smaken die herinneringen opriepen. De kwaliteit van de gerechten is 'Istimewah'. Pandai Masak is vrij vertaald knap met koken, dat is mijn associatie met Anneke's Kitchen. Dank.

A taste of Indonesia in Texel! We’d never tried Indonesian food before, and our first experience here was about as authentic as we could get without traveling half way around the world. The flavors and variety of dishes were superb, only matched by the attention to detail with which chef Anneke put together the presentation for each plate. Her passion and story came through in every dish! The service was great, we felt well taken care of and at home. Highly recommend if you’re in Texel!

Op mijn verjaardag eten we bij Anneke, Menno & kids. Verrassend en verrukkelijk. Een moeder die zo kookt, vader die naast zijn baan ook hier meehelpt en de lieve super beleefde kids Tessel en Seef (?) die meehelpen in de bediening, een mooie culinaire reis en Groot Genot.

Ga hier eten! Authentiek Indonesisch in een modern jasje, echt heerlijk.

Great taste of flavors in the food. These culinary dishes are prepared with love and passion, you notice that with every taste. Het was onverwacht een geweldige culinaire ervaring. Absolute aanrader.

Eten bij Anneke's kitchen is niets minder dan een verrijkende ervaring die je lang bij blijft. Een sfeervol interieur, de gastheer (partner van Anneke) die vooraf het gastronomische levensverhaal van Anneke uit de doeken doet en de chef kok zelf die iedere gang toelicht. Kinderen van het gezin helpen achter de scherm mee. Een geweldige formule met heerlijke gerechten. Ieder kwartaal een nieuw verrassingsmenu. Vooraf kan je dieetwensen etc doorgeven. Ik kreeg op verzoek een portie zelfgemaakte thee mee. Top! We komen hier zeker nog een keer terug.

Wir haben das 5 Gänge Menü zu zweit genossen. Neben uns waren nur eine kleinere Anzahl an Gästen mit dabei (weniger als 20). Die komplette Erklärung zu den Speisen gab es in Englisch. War für uns kein Problem könnte aber fallweise ggf. etwas schwierig werden. Wir starteten alle gemeinsam gegen 18:00 in die kulinarische Reise. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht. Alles sehr stimmig und wirklich gut. Zeit muss man aber einplanen. Wir waren etwas über 3 Stunden zu Gast. Preislich muss man m.E. pro Person (inkl. Getränke) so ab 80€ aufwärts kalkulieren (Essen ca. 65 pro Person). Unseren Hund hatten wir vorab angemeldet und deshalb einen passenden Platz bekommen der auch für ihn ausreichend groß war...ohne dass wir andere Gäste störten. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Please visit this little gem on Texel, this is not going to be the normal restaurant experience you are used to. When you make a reservation, which is a must, they will inform you of a starting time. Be on time! You and the other guests will now go on a journey guided by Anneke, she and her husband will tell you about her life and the inspiration for the dish, each course has its own story and you get to taste some amazing Indonesian food. We were not expecting this up front and we were so pleasantly surprised. When you are on Texel, make a reservation here, they change the menu every three months, so next time you can come back again.

Wir nahmen wieder das 5 Gang Menü und wurden auch dieses Mal nicht enttäuscht. Wer gerne ausgezeichntet und autentisch indonesisch essen will, ist hier richtig. Alles war gut!

Prima eten en ook de kids vonden het lekker.

Anneke neemt je gedurende de avond mee op reis door Indonesië. Bij ieder gerecht vertelt ze enthousiast over de herkomst en de gebruikte smaakmakers. Ieder gerecht is een smaakbom en prachtig opgemaakt. Aangevuld met een thee arrangement is het een geweldige ervaring geweest.

Als je op Texel bent geweest en je hebt hier niet gegeten dan heb je een grote fout gemaakt. Fantastisch eten, elke ronde iets totaal anders en het verhaal achter de gerechten van Anneke zelf geeft het geheel echt een persoonlijke touch.

Ben je in Texel? Dan wil je hierheen! We hebben echt een fantastische avond gehad. Heerlijk eten en fijne sfeer. Echt een huiskamer gevoel met mooie verhalen achter elk gerecht. We komen snel weer terug en raden het iedereen aan!

We zijn zomaar binnen komen lopen, zonder dat we doorhadden er ons vijf gangen indonesische fine dining te wachten stonden. Een geweldige verrassing! Indonesich eten op een heel ander niveau.
