I haven't had such a tasty Bánh Mì with Pork Belly in a long time! Our table companion also had the Portobello sandwich, which was really tasty and well-seasoned! Incredibly friendly people and beautiful products, highly recommended.

Delicious sandwiches and the owner is super friendly and you can tell that she is very passionate about the food she serves - and it shines through in the lovely flavours. We tried the Cubano and the ratatouille pesto sandwich, yum! Perfect food to go or for a picnic, there is also a small seating area. Highly recommend a visit!

Today, I made a pit stop at Mama Mojo and had what might be the best sandwich I've ever tasted in the Netherlands! Now, I’ll admit—zucchini and pickles have never been my thing, so I asked them to skip those. But curiosity got the best of me, and I bravely added the pickled zucchini slices back in, and surprise, surprise… it was perfection! Consider me officially converted. Mama Mojo is a must-visit! Bonus points for the delightful chat with the owner—good food and good vibes all around. ☺️☀️ We’ll definitely be back for more!

Brilliant sandwich and pickle tasting! We had a lovely chat with the owner and you can really feel how passionate she is about her product and how much experience and hard work she puts behind it all. The portobello sandwich was incredibly tasty and fresh, and the pickle tasting we did was great too! A lovely place for lunch or a snack, and with excellent and friendly service!

Best sandwich in a long time. Got a sandwich here last Saturday. We were referred from the neighbor of the Uiltje Bar. After ordering the sandwich, the marinated pork belly with homemade sriracha mayo, we could go to the neighbor to get a specialty beer. The very enthusiastic owner of the sandwich shop walked in fairly quickly with our sandwich. The warm pork belly melts in your tongue, together with the spicy mayonnaise and homemade pickled carrot and onion with some little gem lettuce. A taste sensation that almost does not belong in “a sandwich shop” The rack full of homemade food also needs attention. Gherkins, julienne carrots and all kinds of other pickled goods that she also uses for the sandwiches (and makes especially for events, according to her enthusiastic story) When I walked back later to thank her, she was about to stop by to ask if everything was okay. What a service! That deserves a review!

I needed some soul food this afternoon - a yummy sandwich and I knew just the place to go to for that. Mama Mojo's. Snuck away from the crowded streets, so still an insider place where the owner sticks to her values of quality above quantity. Today I had the 'Smoked chicken Breast (Spicy). Warm, tasty, brimming with scrumptious ingredients and more juicy, warm chicken in there than I have had in any other sandwich. And all held together in a warm crunchy bread roll. A small cozy place, where the owners passion for what she does can be tasted in every bite. And I felt so much better afterwards:)

This place is truly one of a kind! From the stellar service to the sensational food, it’s truly a hidden gem! When you walk in, you’re immediately surrounded by yummy smells and kindness. I read in another review that by the time they left, they felt like family. It’s really true. The owner treats you as if you’re family! And the sandwiches are DIVINE! We got the cubano (with extra jalapeños recommended by a local) and the spicy chicken! Both were flavor sensations! If I’m ever in Holland again, I will come here just for the sandwich alone!

I have been to Mama Mojo's several times, alone and with friends, and I will return again and again for the amazing food and kind service. The owner, Heleen, is delightful to speak with and she always welcomes people with a smile. I never have to wait long, even when there are multiple customers. Sitting outside with an iced coffee and 'broodje vegetarische rendang' or 'broodje portobello' is easily my favourite way to enjoy a sunny weekend.

Unfortunately the vegetarian Portobello sandwich was not very good. It was just Portobello and chimichurri without avocado as advertised….really not worth 8.5€. The Portobello also had a very strong vinegar taste and mixed with the oily chimichurri it was just a bit weird. It sounded so good on the menu that the disappointment really hit. Bread was incredibly good though so maybe they’re just missing the mark on veg options.

This small place is definitely a must try in Haarlem. I’ll start with the service where the lady was super positive, helpful and friendly. Her sandwiches were very tasty and accommodating all allergies. The place is tiny so sitting would be a hussle if it was busy.

Found this gem on day 1 in the Netherlands and could not be happier . The owner is so lovely , engaging and kind and the food is out of this world . Limited menu with sandwiches filled with fresh , quality ingredients and homemade pickled veggies. Flavor was insanely good. I had the Cubano and my husband had the “beef stew” .How I wish I could bring some of her pickled products ( for sale ) back to the USA with me . This woman loves what she does and you can tell

What a cute gem! This little cafe has a charming owner that makes her own pickles. There are so many delicious things to choose from. We had a Bahn Mi sandwich and a coffee with bread pudding. The flavors of the Bahn Mi were unique and mouth watering. Loved our experience here!

The owner was great and kind but the food was dissapointment. The bread was dry and the flavours were not thinked through. Maybe some soft of sauce would be a great add. Would not be visiting again.

Helen is a veritable food alchemist! The portobello mushroom and beef stew sandwiches were a treat, and the green tea was outstanding. She has a knack for weaving flavors together, and her warm hospitality makes you feel like you've come to visit a good friend - not some dime-a-dozen sandwich chain.

Everything about my experience was wonderful. The owner was warm and passionate from the tea to the making of the sandwich. You can tell she's full of passion about what she's putting on your plate. My sandwich was full of flavour, well balanced between beautiful thicker cuts of smoked chicken, crunchy but light bread, the right amount of spice with a hint of sweet and sour from the pickles. I will definitely try the Cubano the next time I'm here. Do yourself a favour and try the sandwiches and the environment itself, you will feel the love in the food and the warmth all around you.

Small business run by someone with an obvious passion for what she does. You can also taste that in the food; this was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time. Bonus points for the range of pickled food, also to take away, and for the hospitality and friendliness of the owner.

We sampled some tasty pickled stuff during the Haarlem Christmas market and had to find the full store. The sandwich (the Cubano) is the best one I've had in the country and I've live here for over a year! Everything was delicious. 100% recommended.

Small cozy place with 2 amazing vegan options. The owner is a really amazing woman that makes you feel comfortable and gives an amazing service, you can see that she really loves her job. The food is amazing, I tried the Portobello, and the bread is perfectly crusty and soft at the same time, the best bread I've ever had in the. Netherlands, and the Portobello and chimichurri is a perfect combination. I highly recommend this place!

Was hier vandaag voor het eerst, nadat ik deze plek online had gevonden om lekker te lunchen. Het is een klein en intiem zaakje waarbij de eigenaresse je al snel persoonlijk en warm welkom heet. We begonnen met een kop koffie en thee waarbij we een stukje zelf gemaakt bananenbrood geserveerd kregen. Mijn inziens net dat stukje extra beleving bij je koffie ipv een voorverpakt stukje chocolade. Keuze in koffie en thee was prima evenals de smaak. Nadat we opgewarmd waren hebben we hier ook een broodje gegeten. Wat een smakelijke verrassing! Goed belegd, en weinig gebruik van zout wat ik een fijne vind. Daarbij wordt er gebruik gemaakt van ingrediënten waar je in de winkel mee geconfronteerd wordt, namelijk ingemaakte groentes, pepers en soorten fruit. Navraag leerde dat de eigenaresse dit zelf allemaal maakt in de winkel en naast gebruik als beleg op de broodjes ook verkoopt. Kortom: ja je kan hier ook bestellen (de thuisbezorgd liep af en aan...) maar de sfeer van de winkel en de oprechte gastvrijheid van de eigenaresse maakt het absoluut de moeite waard om hier even te stoppen voor een broodje!

Ontzettend lieve dame!! Ze was super vrolijk alles aan het vertellen over haar werk en haar heerlijke producten. Winkeltje is super warm en fijn aangekleed en het broodje was heerlijk (broodje stoofvlees). Een echte aanrader is de pickled mango

Wat een geweldige samenwerking kanjers, we hebben enorm gesmuld en genoten van jullie enthousiasme en gastvrijheid!

Al ben je een beetje brak, je voelt je hier nog steeds welkom. Je wordt ontvangen met een gastvrijheid die ik niet meer echt gewend ben van horeca in haarlem, met een enorme glimlach word je geholpen (dat is toch wat anders dan je frikandel broodje afrekenen bij de Albertheijn). De cubano is misschien wel een van de beste broodjes die ik in haarlem heb gegeten. De smaken zijn zeer goed op elkaar uitgebalanceerd, en de jalapenos zijn echt heerlijk en voegt een niet al te overheersende spice toe aan de algehele ervaring. Tijdens het eten van de broodje word je meegenomen in een soort salsa dans van smaak explosie die je iedere keer weer iets anders laat ervaren. De smaak die dit broodje achterlaat is te vergelijken met op een heerlijk lente dag (20 graden en blauwe lucht) een aantal rondjes draaien en daarna in het net iets te hoge gras gevuld met paarden bloemen ploffen, ook wel een gevoel van ultiem genot. Ik zou dit kleine edelsteentje midden in het centrum van Haarlem zeker aanraden aan mensen die gewoon voor ieder moment een heerlijke smaak ervaren. De algehele ervaring was geweldig, ook wel subliem.

Lekkere broodjes en heerlijke pickles. We hebben er ook een paar meegenomen. De Bloody Mary tomaten zijn erg lekker.

Deze dame maakt alles met liefde. Je voelt de passie als ze vertelt over haar ingrediënten. Haar belegde broodjes zijn superlekker. Vergeet vooral ook niet om wat potten van haar eigen ingemaakte tafelzuur te kopen (die ook prachtig staan uitgestald).

This was a happy discovery today. We tried the Cubano sandwich (pulled pork) and it was delicious; full of complex juicy flavor. Everything is scratch made with lots of love. Great price. Nice outdoor seating, we ended up not dining in after realizing we were running late, but the owner was very nice to set up a table inside when it started raining! We’ll be back again to try other offerings…and the much recommended Flight of Pickles!

I honestly never leave reviews, but the cubano sandwich I got here was probably one of the best sandwiches I've ever had in my life. Service was exceptionally good as well, I think the woman who helped me was the owner and she's very kind and helpful. Can't wait to go back!

Vanmiddag weer heerlijk geluncht. Broodje vega rendang en portobello waren erg lekker. Service is altijd goed en lekkere ingelegde groentes en fruit om mee te nemen naar huis. Niet twijfelen gewoon lekker gaan eten en neem zeker wat mee voor thuis!

Vanmiddag eerst bij The Captain's pantry (bierwinkel er naast) geweest om vervolgens doorverwezen te worden naar deze top tent! Een goed gesprek gehad met de eigenaresse om vervolgens allebei de cubano te bestellen😍. Tijdens het maken van de broodjes goede gesprekken gehad over de zaak en zelfs druiven mogen proeven die in 'Uiltje IPA' geweckt zaten. Gepassioneerde eigenaresse die vol liefde praat over haar zaak, de samenwerking met the Captains Pantry (voor de bierliefhebber) en ons na dit ene bezoek al deed denken alsof we de winkel(s) (en haar) al langer kenden! Geweldig eten, vraag de eigenaresse gerust naar haar zelfgemaakte producten! Wij komen zeker terug ❤️

Ontzettend lekker broodje gegeten, bij een zeer vriendelijke en trotse eigenaresse. Zonder problemen zorgt ze voor onze groep van 11 personen. Wel wat aan de prijs doen, deze is veel te laag voor hetgeen je biedt!
