Nancy's Haarlem in Indischewijk

Not sure why I never left a review before, but this is definitely one of my most favorite places in the Netherlands. None of the dishes ever disappoints, very cozy atmosphere, and very kind and polite staff. Personally prefer it for dinners, but lunch is also amazing, and of course nothing could beat the bottomless brunch from the past. Xander, does have superb taste buds 👌

We had a great evening at Nancy’s. The food was delicious!! And the service was top notch. Our dog would give more than 5 stars if he could; he was spoiled with treats and got lots of attention. The steak is a must try. Perfectly prepared. The restaurant itself is very cozy. The whole experience was phenomenal. We will definitely be back.

The strength of a united family can create something magical. A beautiful environment where you can eat delicious and refined food, fresh products and prepared with care. You can enjoy outdoor tables on sunny days, well-kept interior, very kind and attentive staff.

It was great I have never eaten such delicious meat!!! And you get more than expected it is definitely recommended!! I would say what are you waiting for take your girlfriend/friends with you, and you will feel at home.

Great food in a neighborhood spot with incredibly exciting flavors, good portions. The chef obviously has a ton of skill. Any of the raw fish or slow cooked meats are a great bet, and the orangecello made in-house was *chefs kiss*.

As always, we enjoyed the delicious and surprising dishes. Together with the hospitable service, this always ensures a pleasant experience! Highly recommended!

We happened to be in the neighborhood today and decided to have dinner at Nancy's. The food was excellent—both the boneless ribs and the cauliflower were cooked to perfection. The dessert (sticky toffee cake) was also great. Additionally the service was outstanding. We had our two-year-old daughter with us, and the staff were incredibly attentive, making sure we were comfortable throughout. Probably the best service we've experienced so far in the Netherlands.

Amazing food, friendly staff, and comforting atmosphere. We had lunch here and it was incredible.

Very cosy restaurant. Had starters of grilled octopus and pointed cabbage. Both goooood; the cabbage was simple and yet awesome. Had the pork belly and the steak&sauerkraut as mains, it’s really good Friendly, English speaking, would return to dine.

Food was great! I had a chicken sandwich and the grilled octopus as an appetizer! Will definitely go back to try other items off of the menu.

Delicious authentic dishes. Good quality/price ratio The only downside is that they did not take reservation information into account. If a pregnancy is reported there, it would be nice if you did not have to indicate this again several times during your visit. Amuse that a pregnant woman is not allowed to eat does not help.

The food was incredibly delicious as always. However the service was not good tonight. We had to ask the waitress many times for anything that we needed as she kept forgetting. I usually love this restaurant so I was disappointed to experience this tonight.

Loved it! I discovered Nancy's a couple of years ago but never got the opportunity to go until 2 weeks ago. And what a delight it was. First impression walking in was amazing, hit by unique decor. The staff are very nice and friendly. The menu is short which for me is a plus as I never know what to choose because I want everything. Though in saying that I also wanted more than half of the lunch dishes out of 7 I think there are. And thus this made me return a second time 2 weeks later. The food was amazing. Very original combinations but wow did they hit the spot. I very rarely, pretty much never leave reviews but Nancy's is so worth it, I had to.

We had a wonderful meal at Nancy's yesterday (5-2-2025). This is the pace to be. Cozy atmosphere, super friendly service and delicious dishes. This was the second time we were there and it was great twice! If I lived in Haarlem, I would definitely eat at your place every week. Highly recommended!

The food was great, delicious vegetarian starters too. The eggplant is great, but the pointed cabbage was also great! The service was nice, attentive and fast and the price/quality ratio is excellent. The only thing we think is a downside is the acoustics. It was fully booked and it was very noisy inside.

Hidden gem. It's been a while since we've been here (3 times now) Definitely recommended! You will receive a warm welcome and the food is always very tasty without being incredibly expensive. I would describe the atmosphere as a living room atmosphere. Make sure to make a reservation, because it is almost always completely full!

I had the special of the day during my first visit to Nancy's. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious flavors. Incredibly good food that is also affordable. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Haven't had such a good meal in a while, and highly recommend this experience!

Had a delicious meal at the cozy (almost living room-like) Nancy's Haarlem with a group of 12 people. It was very nice that we could just eat à la carte and the dishes arrived quickly. Creative and varied menu, with sufficient vegetarian and vegan options. The service was smooth and friendly. The dishes tasted as good as they looked. Highly recommended. Restaurant is located in the middle of a residential area, free parking in the street or at the AH.

This is one of the best, if not THE best, restaurants in Haarlem. The food was amazing and creative, the staff were extremely helpful and the ambience was lovely. We will most definitely return!

Our first time at Nancy’s came with a bit of pressure in having our Wedding lunch there, but Irene and team were incredible - service from Irene was so sweet and attentive, the food went down a storm and everyone left very merry on a special day. Thank you for being part of it and exceeding expectations, certainly happy to have this as a local restaurant and looking forward to coming back many more times!

The vegetables contained so many peppers that the taste of the vegetables completely disappeared. My daughter had capacio with a long hair in it.

We had a great evening at Nancy’s. The food was really delicious and tasted very fresh and tasteful. We also liked the wine. The service was quick and attentive. I would recommend everyone to visit this restaurant.

Atmosphere and help from staff are excellent. This also applies to the kitchen. Due to the small space it quickly becomes a bit noisy. This can sometimes be annoying.

A cozy and romantic atmosphere coupled with amazingly attentive staff, and most importantly delicious food. We tried a variety of dishes, the duck with noodles in xo sauce, the grilled sardines and the bavette steak. Everything was extraordinary!

I know how to make delicious food here! Both the burrata and the bafette were very tasty and well prepared. The service is very fast at the table, which is nice, and sometimes we would have liked it if there was a little more peace and quiet, but it was also busy. It is beautifully decorated and my girlfriend's gluten allergy was taken into account. Thank you!

An overall incredible restaurant experience. Best I had in Haarlem/Amsterdam during my stay. Lunch is very affordable, the portions are hearty, the taste is phenomenal, and the staff are very sweet and professional. All their pitas, the duck, and the steak are wonderful.

The food was varied and very delicious, very elaborate dishes with a lot of flavour. Friendly and very attentive service Very nice and charming place. The price is very correct, not only for the Netherlands, even in Spain it would be reasonable. It's the first time I've left a tip in the country!!! It catches me far from my home in Spain and it's a shame, because I would like to go often.

Very pleasant service, very nice and attentive waitresses and different but exquisite food. They gave us free water and bread and even a shot and a fortune cookie at the end of the meal. Overall a nice meal for a fair price.

Very cozy restaurant with delicious dishes and very friendly and attentive service. The menu includes various dishes, with meat, vegetarian and fish options. The dishes have good combinations of flavors and are good in quantity. We especially loved the starters and the bread served with them! The service was very attentive and was often at our table before we even knew that we wanted to order something. In addition, very reasonable prices mean that we will definitely eat at this restaurant more often!

Amazing restaurant, with very creative, high quality food. The starters were all good, but the labneh deserves special mention. The main courses were also all great. The Nasi Rames had the best tofu I ever had, and probably also the best tempeh. The place is not too big, with nice, warm atmosphere. The staff is very friendly.

Usually I'm skeptical about this sort of Dutch place because sometimes they throw some arugula on top of an open face sandwich and charge you €14 for it. This is NOT that - fresh food well seasoned. And it's family owned! Edit after a year: we have continued coming here, including for birthdays and to celebrate our wedding. It's just as good as ever, the rotating menu keeps surprising, and the bottomless brunch is an insanely good deal. One thing I would change is that a few times we've come recently, there have been a couple steak dishes on the menu and no pasta dish (or the pasta was sold out), which is a shame as the menu is already fairly small and I don't like beef.

Second time here and everything was beautiful. The boy serving us wore a very friendly smile. We were also moved to outside when there was vacancies so we could enjoy the amazing breeze. We were impressed for another time by the creativity in the fusion menu. You can tell it’s not just putting things together by trying to bring more brilliance to one another. We love the tartar and the mussels the most. The only thing, and it’s very minor, is that we were constantly checked by all the staff how was the food. It’s very kind and welcoming (like we were at someone’s home) for sure but maybe a couple times less would be better.

In my opinion, the best restaurant in Haarlem, with a price-quality ratio that you rarely encounter in the Dutch catering industry. The dishes are so well made and thought out, there is love in everything, right down to the salad and garnish. And the service is also warm and nice. I always come away happy. Long live Nancy's!

After eating here more than 20 times, I’d say my review is long past due. Here goes: You will be hard pressed to find a better restaurant and eating experience in all of the Netherlands. It starts with the people - this is a family run restaurant and the service is second to none. They make you feel like an old friend the moment you walk in the door and put so much thought and care into every moment you’re there. The son and chef Sander will come out to speak with you about the special ingredients used in your dish, and the methods he used to prepare it. Speaking of Sander, he is a master. Every dish I have eaten there has been incredibly tasty and he continues to try new things and hone his craft. And there are delicious options for everyone no matter your dietary restrictions and preferences. This is a great place to come for coffee, dessert, brunch (amazing all-you-can-eat deal!), lunch, or dinner; on a date or with a group of friends. And the prices are extremely reasonable. I also love the cozy atmosphere, both inside and outside. If you haven’t been here then stop hesitating and try it! I can almost guarantee it will become one of your new favorite places in the Netherlands. And make sure you book a table in advance because they are getting busier by the day.

Guys, you MUST try this restaurant! We found it by chance and reserved a table for the following evening that same evening. The food is SO INCREDIBLY GOOD! We've rarely eaten THIS well (and we eat out really often). The french toast was amazing!! It is beautifully presented, the restaurant and the ambience are very, very nice and the service is attentive and super friendly. We talked to the owner who is extremely friendly and we can really recommend the place to everyone and will definitely come again if we visit Amsterdam again.

We had received a voucher from friends that was too good and we were able to spend this voucher at Nancy's on the Florisstraat in Haarlem. The manageress then served us, a friendly, hospitable woman. We ordered what we ordered tasted good. And that the quality at Nancy's is good can be read in the numerous positive reviews. After payment, there was still a small amount of credit left. Now a few months later, since we were going to Florisstraat anyway, we decided to stop by Nancy's and spend it on a coffee with something tasty. The lady serving us was friendly and quickly created a spot for us. We told her that we still had one left and that we could spend it on a coffee. Next to us was a group of 4 people, the previously friendly manager greeted the four but ignored us, she did this twice. Not even a word could be said during checkout. The waitress did a very good job. My wife, with almost 50 years of catering experience, had to bite her lips not to say anything about this. So this is her true face, she said later. Then we go to lunch and Co where you always feel welcome, no matter what you spend.
