Another Italian gem discovered in Rotterdam! Super friendly service, everything incredibly fresh and handmade (we suspected even the whipped cream with the dessert was hand-whipped). Drunk the best scroppino ever. Only one chef in the kitchen: he stood there working very calmly but concentratedly, and the most delicious dishes arrived on time every time—very impressive! We were also surprised with a glass of limoncello because of the birthday boy in our party. It wouldn't surprise me at all if there was a nonna somewhere folding handmade pasta; that's how authentic everything felt! Top-notch place! The last time, however, we sat right next to a very noisy group of 12 men, which was a real shame for our dining experience and time together. Additionally, both the pizza cutter and the knife were extremely blunt, making eating difficult. The glass of limoncello with the coffee, however, made everything right again!

Ordered and waited 45 minutes for the delivery, and when it was supposed to be delivered in 6 minutes, the order was simply cancelled. I have two young children who need to eat and go to bed. If you can't deliver, you shouldn't accept the order (when calling: "oh yes, we're just a bit busy") or cancel it within a reasonable time. This is really unacceptable. I always liked going there, but now NEVER again!!

Seen via TikTok that Mamma Licia recommended. We had a truly delicious meal; the recipes are exactly as they appear on the website. We had an antipasti platter and pasta with pistachios and scroppino! A delicious platter with fresh, thinly sliced ​​ham, tasty cheeses, and freshly toasted bread. The fresh pasta from their own kitchen was very creamy and perfectly seasoned. The scroppino was thick and creamy. The food is truly top quality. The service is super friendly, not rushed, and they take their time. We sat outside, which was lovely, just sort of on the sidewalk; nice and cozy, but it feels right. Sometimes there are some cars and/or scooters racing past. It wasn't too bothersome, but it is there. Will I eat here again? 100% delicious!

What a lovely little place this is. Wonderful weather, last table outside. The best carbonara I have eaten in the Netherlands. It can rival the better ones in Rome. Just as it should be, with guanciale, egg, pepper, and pecorino. Fantastic espresso, by the way. Next time I'm going to try the pizza... highly recommended!!

You enter a cozy, inviting, and truly Italian trattoria. The menu immediately causes decision fatigue; all the dishes are delicious. When you look into the kitchen, you see an enthusiastic kitchen team. The service is excellent and pleasantly informal. The bruschetta is very tasty. Pizzas and pasta were eaten at the table. These were unsurpassably delicious; you can taste the wonderful, honest Italian flavors and craftsmanship. As a bonus, a delicious cappuccino and tiramisu; pure enjoyment here!! Our evening couldn't have been better. Kudos!

Tonight, the whole family, including a 2-year-old grandchild, had a wonderful meal at Mamma Licia. It was small, atmospheric, and pleasantly busy. The little one was comfortable at the table, but was also able to wander around the restaurant at leisure. Just like an Italian restaurant should be. We enjoyed delicious appetizers and the main course together. The pizza and pasta were excellent! And dessert, of course, was Teramisu. The cocktails were also delicious. In short, highly recommended.

Really delicious. Very friendly staff. Real Italians in the (open) kitchen. I discovered I'd never had an authentic carbonara before. It was therefore different than expected, but very tasty and rich in flavor. I also had the ribeye...delicious!! Pesto was also so good! The only downside was that the toilet is upstairs.

Tonight we discovered a really nice, new place for us. The service was incredibly friendly and fast. The pasta was incredibly fresh and well-prepared. My son had a pizza that was so big he struggled to finish it. I also really enjoyed this: when I mentioned that I was torn between two pasta dishes, the woman serving us didn't immediately recommend the most expensive, but the one she liked best (the cheaper option). We had a really good meal and will definitely be back!

The pastas and pizzas are unparalleled. You can tell everything is freshly made in-house. We absolutely love the Italian kitchen crew. The service is friendly, welcoming, and fast. In short, Mamma Licia is highly recommended!

I was in Rotterdam for work and I felt like going to an Italian restaurant and I found a pizza that I don't know, but it's a really delicious pizza, I really recommend it, you have to pay attention to a parking spot, but it's really worth it, it's also nice to relax there for a while.

Really delicious food, highly recommended! We ate Bruscetta alla Roma, Carpaccio al tartufo and tagliatelle tartufo e funghi, all freshly prepared! The café pistacchio is also a must have. (see photo) They also sell all kinds of products so you can cook with them at home, such as oil and pasta (see photo) Friendly staff. Would definitely visit again! Nice man.

Great little quaint Italian restaurant, in the beautiful neighbourhood of Kralingen. Have come here several times now and the quality is always high. Without a doubt one of the most authentic Italian restaurants in Rotterdam. The carbonara is excellent and traditional tasting very similar to the ones I had in Rome this year. The Amatriciana was also very tasty and the gnocchi with pistachio and gorgonzola was excellent even though, the portion was a bit small. Slight dissapointment for the Orecchiette con cime di rapa e salsiccia as it was pricier than the other dishes and was alright, but nothing special. Overall, it was a very nice experience! I would recommend.

Best bolognese pasta in Netherlands

This was our first time having dinner here, and it was a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The food was excellent. We had a salami pizza, a buffalo mozzarella pizza, and from the specials menu, the fresh spaghetti with prawns and bisque, which was absolutely delicious. For dessert, we tried the Cannoli Siciliani, which was really good. The restaurant is small, so I would recommend booking a table in advance.
