Unfriendly staff. When I ordered the biggest portion, oldest lady looked at me from head to toes and said ‘are you sure you want to eat 1 kilo of fries’ 😅 (it was not even 1 kilo)

The fries were disappointing. As if the potatoes weren't fully grown/ripe yet. They tasted very green. And that for €6.60 with a small portion of sauce.

Well-cooked fries with a wide selection of sauces! Located in a small touristy alleyway, so there's a long line, but it's worth a try.

Incredibly good fries and sauce. I had taken green pepper sauce, an 8/10, but nothing beats the peanut sauce which I think was with a little chilli. That combination between peanut sauce and fries was something new and good! I recommend trying that sauce.

The chips are good and the atmosphere is nice and cozy in one of the narrow alleys of Utrecht. However, the service is terrible.. especially the blond chubby girl with the heavy make-up.. I have had the pleasure to encounter her on two seperate occasions and the first time she did not make eye contact with me and sighed while taking my order. As i am a person always willing to give second chances, i decided to not ponder on this experience too much, but that changed the second time when waiting in the queue and noticed that she was servicing everybody in front of me in the similar negliant fashion. If she would've just acted like that to me I would be fine with it (maybe she doesn't like Russians or something) but since she treated everyone without exception like that i decided to leave this review. When it was somebody's turn she would look at you (improvement since she's making eye contact now) and just expect you to start spewing you order. No hello or how can i help from her. Then after you said your order you get a ' *sigh* is that all?' And you have to be very in charge of yourself not to get annoyed by her attitude then when she makes the order she will give you far less than what you pay for. My advice to anybody reading this. Don't go to this particular store of Mannekepis, instead go to the one on Vredebrug square just outside Hoog Catherine. Staff there is friendly and in my honest opinion the food is better too because the overall experience is better. It is busier there, but i can think of several reasons why that is like that.

You can give it a try, especially if you can't help buying it in Amsterdam. At least you don't have to queue up in Utrecht. The texture of coarse potato oil is relatively light, and the sauce is a mixture of peanut sauce and mayo. You will get sick of mayo if you eat too much.

Super tasty fries, generous portions. If you like french fries you will love this place.

Today was very disappointing. My mother and I got cold fries and only hard pieces. We also received the last one in the bin, but we thought it also contained soft pieces, which in the end was not the case. We were already far away from going back, but otherwise we would certainly have done so.

Few staff and slow. Fries were a bit mealy and not fried enough. I ordered 2x a Schanulleke "to take away and sauce separately" + 1 vegan croquette. I received 2 fries with sauce in a cone to take away. The assignment had not been understood. The vegan croquette resembles a real beef croquette in appearance and taste. When asked, it was indicated that the croquette was really vegan and that many people ask questions about this. Apparently the croquette turned out really well!

Seemed promising, disappointed. Not baked long enough. Go to De Pieper if you want tasty fries

Small 3.95 Medium 4.95 Large 5.95 Euro Sauces 1.25 Euro I bought a small size but it was almost like a medium size. Only two of us finished it :). They pour the sauce generously on top. Fries were good.

Fries the way I like them. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside and 22 sauces to choose from.

I’m aware this wouldn’t be for everyone, but if you like the kind of fries they serve, it’s an excellent snack for a good price. You can share with loved ones and the sauces are always really good. Staff is super friendly and don’t have that awkward customer service voice. Feels genuine!

Soggy and cold fries, don't go there again. No success

Normally very satisfied with the fries, but such a bad experience today. It was 5.10 pm and the saleswoman said that I could not take a medium size fries because of the amount of fries, but I could take 2 small ones. Well half filled bag and had special but there was no curry in it. Didn't go back because my son was with me. But a waste of my money. Never go to that location again. Ps saleswoman was also really rude.

Very tasty fries with a huge selection of sauces. Even though the mayo of ketchup in Holland takes some getting used to in my opinion, the hot sauce was very good. My tip: order the sauces separately!

2 people ordered medium portions of fries and croquettes. The quality of the food was good, but the service staff had a bad attitude after knowing that they were not communicating in Dutch. It was not a good shopping experience.

At Manneken Pis there are always very tasty fries with a large selection of sauces. Highly recommended.

The worst chips eaten these days. They're practically raw. And then there was absolutely no queue so they would have had time to cook them more. Little salt but this is not necessarily a defect

Here you get the best fries in the Netherlands! And the service is always friendly and accommodating. The selection of 21 dipping sauces is also impressive. My tip: definitely try Old Amsterdam!

Very friendly staff speaks English. The chips (fries) where so good and she recommended two sauces they were delicious also they had the hot food vending machine. The price is great for the amount of chips (fries) I chose small.

Goede friet, goede prijs, goede plek.

The fries were freshly made with a lot of toppings to choose from. The best part was the spices to sprinkle on top of the fries. We even had chicken sticks which were awful and not at all fresh. I'd recommend sticking to the fries. There is no option for dining in, so u have to carry the fries, I suggest you take the toppings/dips in a separate container. Dips are costly too!

Mi primera vez probando comida típica, me parecieron muy ricas, recomendás.

Hele goede patat, goeie kwaliteit, maar omgerekend 10 gulden voor een zakje patat is een beetje teveel.

Lekkere friet , alleen zoals hier wel vaker geschreven is het personeel en in deze de mevrouw op leeftijd een wat geërgerd type die wss met pensioen moet ofzo

Patat is best, service viel echter flink tegen. Terwijl ik er zat meermaal een order verkeerde opgenomen door de werknemer maar toch de klant beschuldigen. Overal slechte service van de oudere dame. Andere klanten werden voor mij gelaten en geserveerd terwijl ik eerder betaald en besteld had.

Utrechtse rauwdouwers: het enige eventuele minpunt. Maar dat hoort nou eenmaal een beetje bij de stad en de snelle snack... Moet je de charme maar van inzien ;). Eet er vaak; top frieten.

Heerlijke friet maar wat een onbeschofte service. Openlijk ergeren aan klanten en snauwen in plaats van service verlenen. Kletsen met vriendinnen in plaats van klanten helpen.

Deliciosas patatas fritas con un montón de salsas donde elegir. Par ser una patatas fritas están muy crujientes. Un snack perfecto mientras haces turismo por Utrecht.
