Super good falafel. Ate two straight away.

Was it with even a hint of irony that Maoz sold me, for the lofty price of €7.50 (having told me the smaller version was unavailable) simply two slices of bread with three falafel and a few limp salad leaves, without any of the accoutrements? Left me wanting more, not in a good way

I ordered a small veggie shawarma pita. However, I was charged for a large. I told him I wanted a small one, but the man wouldn't give me a refund. He also wouldn't give me a container when the pita fell apart. He was a very rude, grumpy man.

Extraordinary fries! My son is a falafel aficionado and said these were the best ever. It’s fun to make your salad or stuff your pita with extras. Simple little place with attentive service. Unfortunately I didn’t think of taking photos because my hands were full of yummy food. 😂.

Extremely rude Staff!! First of all, the food was nice. BUT the guy who served us was extremely rude. I ordered the meal deal (includes pita, fries & drink) with shoarma, he asked what we wanted to drink and then I paid. I was surprised by the price. Then I asked him "hadn't I ordered the meal deal?" And he replied to me in a very angry way that it wasn't possible to get the meal deal with shoarma, only with pita." I said okay, but why didn't he tell me that when I ordered. He just looked at me very angry and wouldn't talk to me anymore. I'm talking about that guy with the very long beard wearing a turban.

The cafeteria has delicious falafel sandwiches, and we tried the sweet fries, which were better than the famous ones in Amsterdam 😆😍

Got food poisoning after eating! I felt so bad 3-4 hours after eating yesterday! Until 4 a.m. – so much so that my boyfriend and I were already planning to go to the hospital. What I noticed afterward: Sauces are left unrefrigerated.

Delicious food! When your pita falafel is ready, you get the pita bread with the falafel, then you can scoop sauce, vegetables / raw vegetables / toppings on it yourself that you feel like at that moment. Enough choice! Including cucumber, chickpeas, couscous, tomato, pickle, peppers. It all tasted very good. And you can keep filling up your toppings while eating. The pita falafel was so filling that the two of us couldn't even finish one box of fries. Staff was friendly. Ate inside at Maoz. The weather was warm, the door and large windows were wide open, so it was good to stay inside. As far as I could see, no toilet or possibility to wash hands available for customers.

While the seating area is a bit limited, it's perfect for smaller groups or those on-the-go. A must-try for sure!

Affordable, quick, and healthy snack, I've been here a few times, and it's a always good. Fries are a bit on the salty side but i kinda like it that way (if you don't, then you can always ask for less c:) Reasonable prices even with this economy Over all 9/10 the only feedback I'd have is places to sit BUT to be fair it's the middle of amsterdam and for the size of that building they did it very nice

I love going to Maoz for vegan and fresh food, but I have noticed that the service at this branch is quite unfriendly (especially for brown skins). It's important for all customers to feel valued and respected. This branch leverage the advantage of Maoz such as fresh food, offers good value for money, brand name, and is conveniently located near the center but their staff doesn't value such advantages. I hope if management of Maoz is reviewing these comments and they can provide training to this branch staff to improve their customer service skills and how to treat everyone equally.

I had a disappointing experience at Maoz Falafel, located at Muntplein 1, 1017 CK Amsterdam. I ordered a sandwich and three falafel balls, and after receiving my order, I approached the salad bar, thinking it was open for customers to add vegetables. Unaware of any restrictions, I picked a small piece of tomato to taste. A staff member immediately yelled at me in a harsh and rude manner, putting me in a very embarrassing situation in front of other people. I returned the tomato, but the aggressive reaction was completely uncalled for. Such poor customer service really left a negative impression on my experience.

I recommend trying it.. very delicious, the staff was great 👍🏼

Super delicious!!! You get the falafel in a pita and can then fill your pita yourself from a wide selection of toppings and sauces, the price even includes “refilling” the pita. I'm annoyed that I only went in on the second to last day of our stay. Yummy!!!

Food was alright, but service was HORRIBLE. When we first went in, I asked him if we could place our order very nicely, and he shouted at me, rudely telling me that someone else was going to take our order. Then, when there was a misunderstanding about the change the other guy had given us, the same guy that had raised his voice shouted at us again, going on and on for about 5 minutes about how they didn’t accept €100 bills, so they wouldn’t have given the wrong change. He yelled at us profusely, when it could’ve been settled in a cordial and respectful way. Customer service was one of the worst I’ve ever seen. DONT GO THERE!!!

First off, it's unhygenic, the dude who makes the food has a massive beard without a hair net, nice, beardhair in your food. Looking behind the counter, it didn't look clean either. Secondly, you pay 7.50 for a regular pita but then you have to assemble it yourself... Server was rude and impolite, highly do NOT recommend going here. There are plenty of better options 3 mins walking from there.

Hi, we bought a total of four kebabs between yesterday and today (€7.50 for the medium one) and filled them to our liking. The kebab sandwich is small but, since you can fill it all up with vegetables (very fresh and tasty) and falafel, once bought you will struggle to finish it! Really very good, I recommend it wholeheartedly. The place is small and very hot (after all, it's a kebab shop!) but the price for what you eat is excellent for being in the center of Amsterdam.

You get a little more than you expect. The falafel, bread and sauces taste very good. I also think it's a good concept that you can fill up your own vegetables. The staff is listless and rather unfriendly, but I don't expect more from a snack bar.
