One of the best late night eats places in Amsterdam. Everything is fresh and the gentlemen running the place are efficient and friendly. I don’t know how they manage this in the chaos that is Leidseplein after midnight . Hats off to them . Been going to this location for close to 16 years now.

For 7.5£ you can really make it worth it ! The mushroom was freshly cooled and added to the bread. Then you can add most of the toppings you want without charge. And then sauces!! This was delicious and had so much flavor I would definitely eat this again

Insanely delicious! You can put together your own pita with tons of different ingredients and sauces! The shop itself is small, and unfortunately, a large group of very disrespectful people came in and were very rude to the really patient and nice lady. It's a shame that there are people who behave so badly. We thank you for the good service and the delicious food!

This was an ideal place to grab a affordable falafel pita. I don't usually like pita, I'm more of a wrap fan. But the whole deal with this place is that they hand you a toasted pita with freshly cooked falafel in it and then you help yourself to salad and pickles and sauce etc. They are happy to explain what everything is. I love pickles, so this was a great experience. All sauces were vegan, so my mouth was very happy! I can't wait to return.

I now prefer to support restaurants that respect the origins of the food and the culture it comes from. ____ I used to be one of the people who loved Maoz Falafel, and I used to go there from time to time. But then I discovered that the restaurant was originally founded by an Israeli, and that they attribute falafel to “Israeli” food, even though it is a well-known Palestinian/Arab dish for a long time. This information changed my perspective, and I no longer feel the same about the place. Now I prefer to go to restaurants that respect the food and its heritage.

I decided to get a salad bowl with falafel, it's so nice that you get to pick what you want in your own salad. All the different dressings/ sauces was vegan. I felt overjoyed to finally have a problem with choosing. As a vegan you get used to maybe one or to options. But here everything was vegan and they had been since the 90's. The woman working there was so friendly and told me she had worked there for over 30 years. I told her that I took pics of the food and asked if I could get one of the front. It was no problem and she said she had never heard about Happy Cow. And that it's apps like that that helps they stay open so she appreciated that so much ❤️ PS. I also wanted to give a Google review in hope of more people eating vegan could see it.

Everything here is incredibly fresh and the falafel are made to order. The owner makes a variety of different salads and toppings that you are free to add to your pita afterwards. I ended up visiting this place twice. It's usually hard to find healthy food while traveling but this place is a hidden gem in Amsterdam..

The place is small and the falafel is delicious. You are free to add any flavors you want after they fill your sandwich with falafel, and they serve it to you. The additions are in front of you. Fill them according to your desire. 😋👍🏻

Let’s talk about the hygiene! I saw people coming using these spoons to put sauce on their sandwiches after each bite, which means these spoons may contacted their saliva and this is just disgusting, shouldn’t be exposed like this for people as an open buffet , it is not clean , and the attitude of staff both of them is so rude, they were just angry at people for no reason as if the food is charity, and the food is not that good to put up with their attitude and all other negative things. The owner of the shop should deal with the Asian dude working at the cashier he is soooo rude.

I love the food, it is so good and clean and the 🍟sooooooooo delicious. Their food tastes bitter and the bread is excellent. I ordered fried eggplant with the falafel, oh my God, for the taste, and potatoes, of course, are a protection for them, and of course there are different types of pickles and sauces that you can add to the sandwich. .

Mi novia y yo estábamos de vacaciones cuando cruzamos este lugar. Buscando desesperadamente algo de comer por la noche entramos en esta tienda y nos sorprendió inmediatamente por lo barato (7 , 50 €). Pero no solo los precios eran increíbles, sino también el sabor. El dueño es muy amable y especialmente no codicioso, dándonos una buena cantidad de falafels que fue lo único que le hizo a la pita ya que nos dieron una cuchara y podía diseñar nuestra pita de acuerdo a nuestra elección sin límites. Lo visitaría de nuevo.

Absolutely Dreadful! This place is a total rip-off! The food was cold and tasteless, like it was microwaved from a frozen dinner. The service was even worse. We waited forever for our drinks and food, and when it finally arrived, it was a complete disappointment. The atmosphere was dead, and the place was dirty. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else!

A purely vegan restaurant and very tasty! I was just expecting some kind of falafel in the kebab bread, like in Germany. Here you can fill your pita yourself with, for example, hummus, eggplant, various vegan (super tasty) sauces, raw vegetables and pickles! There is the option to sit inside like in a small snack bar, directly parallel to the tram tracks & watch the hustle and bustle outside! It just blew my socks off, but it also gave me a lot of steam! :D Happy to come back on your next vacation!

So yummy. I got the fried aubergine pitta which was unreal - the pitta was so soft. You can fill it with whichever toppings you want from the salad bar, and the garlic sauce was unreal.
