Maoz Vegan in De Weteringschans

Mi novia y yo estábamos de vacaciones cuando cruzamos este lugar. Buscando desesperadamente algo de comer por la noche entramos en esta tienda y nos sorprendió inmediatamente por lo barato (7 , 50 €). Pero no solo los precios eran increíbles, sino también el sabor. El dueño es muy amable y especialmente no codicioso, dándonos una buena cantidad de falafels que fue lo único que le hizo a la pita ya que nos dieron una cuchara y podía diseñar nuestra pita de acuerdo a nuestra elección sin límites. Lo visitaría de nuevo.

Really enjoyed the food. Heaven for vegan people. The really impressive thing is they allow to refill items and sauces. Highly recommend and will visit again.

Lugar limpio. Servicio amable y feliz. La comida es muy fresca y sabrosa, grandes porciones y relación calidad-precio. Sin duda volveremos de nuevo cuando en Amsterdam desde el Reino Unido. Lo he recomendado a muchos familiares y amigos.

La mejor comida rápida/callejera de la ciudad con diferencia. Coma aquí dos veces en 3 días, € 7. 50 para falafel en pitta con barra de ensaladas y una salsa de chile verdaderamente genial (parte posterior derecha de las cuatro opciones). Ignora cualquier idea preconcebida que puedas tener sobre el falafel o la comida vegana y simplemente disfruta. Mención especial para las 2 damas que dirigen este lugar, trabajador y amable.

Food was pretty standard like most other branches. The guy at the counter was very talkative.

Absolutely Dreadful! This place is a total rip-off! The food was cold and tasteless, like it was microwaved from a frozen dinner. The service was even worse. We waited forever for our drinks and food, and when it finally arrived, it was a complete disappointment. The atmosphere was dead, and the place was dirty. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save your money and go somewhere else!

A purely vegan restaurant and very tasty! I was just expecting some kind of falafel in the kebab bread, like in Germany. Here you can fill your pita yourself with, for example, hummus, eggplant, various vegan (super tasty) sauces, raw vegetables and pickles! There is the option to sit inside like in a small snack bar, directly parallel to the tram tracks & watch the hustle and bustle outside! It just blew my socks off, but it also gave me a lot of steam! :D Happy to come back on your next vacation!

The falafel at Maoz Falafel is incredibly tasty! The food is fresh and flavorful. What made our visit even better was the warm hospitality from the Manager cum owner Preet Ji. Her kindness and welcoming attitude made our day. Awesome food and great service—highly recommend!

BE CAREFUL SOME SAUCES ARE SUPER SPICY AND WILL RUIN YOUR FOOD. Please label your sauces, it is impossible to tell what is spicy and not. Also there was barely enough veggies in the bowl before the toppings buffet. Definitely not enough to call it a salad

So yummy. I got the fried aubergine pitta which was unreal - the pitta was so soft. You can fill it with whichever toppings you want from the salad bar, and the garlic sauce was unreal.

Favorite place for a snack after a night out on Leidseplein. Best falafel sandwich anywhere with the freshest and most extensive salad bar that allows you to build your own sandwich.

I have been coming to these nice people for many years to eat delicious brown pita falafel. 🍀☀️. Salad bar with delicious sauces is top and cool. Recommended the spicy green 🌶️ sauce and the amba, mango sauce.

Spent 3 days there in Amsterdam and was starving for authentic Indian kinda taste and this was the perfect stop for me. Loved the food, people and price. All the time I went there to eat delicious food.

Stopped by here while I was in Amsterdam after the local one in Philly closed down. I was very happy with the food and the service. The atmosphere and the seating could be better but I guess it’s a fast food restaurant so it understandable.

I would like to give 6 our of 5 stars to this place because of the person who was handling the store. She was the sweetest lady ever. Food was delicious but tasted even better because of the service experience.

Great food for the price. Plenty as well. If you order a salad bowl you cannot refill it but if you order a pita and you are lucky, you can sit there and refill your pita bread with as much salad as you want (as long as you have the bread to fill). Salad bar items are chickpeas, coleslaw, cucumber, tomato, roasted carrots, olives, onion, pickles amongst others. Perfect if you need a quick vegan bite. (The falafel does contain gluten!)

Al jaren eet ik pita falafel van Maoz en ik vind het heerlijk! De falafel is supervers en smeuïg (niet droog) en smaakvol. Lekkere sauzen en natuurlijk de heerlijke groentebar waar je onbeperkt van kunt bijvullen. Buiten was het druk en lawaaiig, binnen heerste een heerlijke rust. Heerlijk eten in stilte en warmte, comfort ten top. Enorme aanrader.

Kann den Döner selber zusammenstellen, das war ganz cool, Döner nur leider bisschen kalt

Viele Sitzgelegenheiten gibt es da nicht, aber ich habe mir ein Menü to Go geholt. Es gibt zwei Menüs zur Auswahl. In einem ist Pommes mit gefüllter Pita und im anderen Pommes und Bowle. In beiden Fällen ist jedem Gast selbst überlassen was er in der Pita oder als Bowle haben möchte. In der Pita sind Falafel drin und den Rest habe ich aus einem Buffet selbst zusammen gestellt. Sehr lecker und tolle Idee! Preis war auch in Ordnung. Im Menü gab es auch ein Getränk, ich habe eine Dose Cola genommen.

Hands down the best falafel bar I have been to. The falafel had schug in it, which is not always a given when having different types of falafel. In my opinion, this is when ti is at its tastiest. The options with which to fill your falafel pita with were traditionally Israeli and delivered in taste as well. Having matbucha to drizzle on top of the pita was the cherry on top.

Sehr unkompliziert & lecker! Ich finde es super, dass man sich das Pita selbst belegen kann! Saucen und Zutaten waren wirklich gut. Ein bisschen günstiger fände ich es allerdings noch besser, es entspricht ja vom Essen her einem Döner, ist aber viel teurer :/

Hier wird leckeres vegetarisches/ veganen Fast Food angeboten. Die Pitataschen mit Hummus und Fallafel sind sehr gut, die Füllung der Tasche mit Gemüse kann der Kunde nach belieben selbst gestalten. Die Saucen die zur Auswahl stehen sind ebenfalls sehr lecker. Leider ist der Laden recht klein und einer von den wenigen Sitzplätzen meist nur mit viel Glück zu finden. Preis- Leistung ist echt gut.

Al jaren kun je bij Maoz prima falafel eten. De balletjes worden ter plekke gedraaid en gefrituurd en de pita broodjes worden (bruin en wit) on the spot gegrild. Je krijgt je broodje met een klein beetje sla erin maar de saladbar biedt zoveel heerlijke gerechten dat je als vanzelf een paar keer gaat opscheppen. Pas alleen op met de groene saus, deze is pittig!

Snelle hap gegeten hier een broodje falafel een van de lekkerste en goede friet. Kleine winkel weinig plek om te zitten, meer aan het raam hangen.

I just got an order of the fries with the spicy mayo. It was tasty. Nothing to special but it really hit the spot and you can never go wrong with fries! It was nice finding this place because usually I can’t have the sauces at the other frie places because they are not vegan. This place is all vegan so that was awesome! The sauce is the best part so I indulged in the spicy mayo.
