Amazing experience. Great food, friendly service. I just wish they were located in Leiden!

The food was delicious! The service left a lot to be desired. At 9:00 PM, we couldn't get coffee afterward, even though the restaurant doesn't close until 10:00 PM. The tables were already being wiped down with a strong-smelling cleaning product at 9:00 PM, which disrupted the dining experience and affected the taste. Hygiene could be improved; the tables were sticky, there was a layer of dust behind the sofa, and the toilet wasn't clean. This lovely little restaurant could do better.

This is a great vegan cafe with a selection of different types of food. We had the vegan chicken burger, the Ben Ben noodles, and the kimchi fried rice. It was all amazing but I think the kimchi rice would work better as a side or with some kind of protein like tofu. The Ben Ben noodles and burger were OUTSTANDING! Are here earlier in the year on a trip to Amsterdam and had an exceptional meal. Really good choice of drinks, amazing bowls.

The place, service, and food were all great. Everything was vegetarian. We tried the udon with meatballs and peanut sauce (delicious!) and the dragon noodles. We really enjoyed everything, and the place was pleasant and quiet. You can make a reservation online, although there were plenty of tables available when we went.

Had high hopes when walking in but they served me a ready meal for €19. The rice was clearly microwaved and the 'plantain curry' was mostly courgette with about two pieces of plantain. My girlfriend's Ben Ben Noodles were nicer but were slightly artificial also. Disappointing..

Really great food and service, quite pricey but beautiful food

I cannot comment on the place, but I was recommended by a friend multiple times and I ordered from home the Ben Ben Noodles, really delicious, creamy and filling thing. Will reorder back again soon.

I used to really like this place, but my last visit wasn’t the best - the service was a bit off, and the noise from the kitchen was quite noticeable. I hope things improve because it’s usually a nice spot. It would also be great if they added some classic cocktails to the menu.

It was incredibly delicious, I didn't know meat could be so delicious without being made from meat. One dish was very spicy, so they offered me a replacement.

A real surprise for non-vegetarians: It tastes like the original, but is made without beef, pork, or poultry. Beautifully arranged and lovingly served. Very attentive service. Small and cozy in its own way. Table reservations are a must. Highly recommended!

Absolutely loved the food here. I ate way past full. Service was great and the atmosphere was also perfect. Very decent portion sizes. Would come again for sure! My partner and I ordered the vegan bitterballen starter, Kimchi fried rice, a burger and fries, apple pie & vegan snickers. We also had 2 glasses of rosé.

I came here after running the Amsterdam marathon and it was the perfect replenishment. I got the Buddha bowl salad and the jackfruit tacos. The jackfruit tacos were on traditional corn tortillas about two bites each taco. Quite expensive for the quantity but taste and substance worth it. This salad was everything I wanted it to be, big portion, good textures with the tempeh and peanuts, and delicious flavors meddling together, perfect to replenish 3 hours and 59min of running.

We ordered ribs, dragon noodles and kimchi rice. Ribs was good but the rest were either a bit dry or underwhelming and simple. The atmosphere and the service was good.

It’s the best vegan food I have ever had! Everything is 10/10 - I had the Khao Soi and the vegan cheesecake! And it literally blew my mind! 😍 it’s worth the walk.. beautiful atmosphere too! I completely recommend!

Great lunchtime restaurant, with interesting starters options (ribs were yum!) and reasonably priced. It’s a cute restaurant, but not for an occasion in our opinion. The burger was average but the Bali salad was divine. We would go again.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at Soil even though he is not vegan. We both had the Dragon Bowl which arrived steaming hot and had so much flavor. We are glad we indulged in dessert: the Snickers Brownie and the Apple Pie were decadent and delicious. The chef (owner?) provided great service, and made us feel welcome. We highly recommend Soil!

We had a wonderful meal here: surprisingly delicious, completely plant-based, and healthy. The restaurant was packed, so reservations are recommended, especially if you're traveling with a group. We were lucky and just managed to find a table for two.

Don’t know what the fuzz is about but the kimchi fried rice was tasteless (only tasted sour) and not even fried. Little fruit flies kept flying around our food which ruined our appetite.

While researching vegan lunch options, we stumbled on this exceptional cafe offering excellent vegan options. We enjoyed a Miso salad, cheezy burger and cheesycake. Each dish was amazingly tasty and exhibited great creativity in creating vegan options for some standard fare. Highly recommend a visit as you will not be disappointed!

This place definitely surpassed any of my expectations after seeing it featured on YouTube. I have been looking forward to trying it for a while. The quality of the food and flavors are amazing and not like any place else. It’s healthy, delicious and made with love. Everything we had was the best tasing ever. The Miso ramen for sure the best I’ve ever had. And the apple pie dessert was out of this world! If you happen to be in Amsterdam make sure to check this place out. And make sure to make reservations for dinner time.

A lovely place to eat with a quirky and cozy vibe. I ate here on a Thursday evening and it was nearly full booked when I turned up so recommend booking in advance if you want a table even midweek.

Phenomenal experience provided by our server, EB. They took great care of my future wife and I. To recommending things on the menu to having great conversations. We had the cheesy burger and the fried chicken sandwich with the rustic fries that were perfectly crispy. Chef JP is a class act as well. The host were sensational. A great vegan café with a truly impressive taste, but a bit of an acoustic issue. We ordered the cheese steak and the dragon noodles. The food arrived quickly, and even though the sandwich looked very simple at first, the taste was AMAZING. Well-seasoned, cheesy, and incredibly filling! The noodles were also delicious and convincing; I personally would have preferred some kind of protein. You should make a reservation, as it filled up quickly in the evening. There are a few individual tables and one large, quite wide table, at which we sat with others. The room got incredibly loud, so we had to talk to each other across the table. Overall, a lovely café that you should definitely visit if you're craving delicious vegan food.

This is a must place to go in Amsterdam Centraal!!! Top best vegan food I’ve ever had. The cheese cake was so amazing 🤤, the amount of food was just right. Very healthy yummy vegan food with vegetables. Also the waitress was the loveliest person ever, and she was also the one who made the cheese cake, you could see that she was very passionate about what she does. We sat outside which was very nice. The place is beautiful and to top everything famous celebrities also went there 😮.

Food was great, but long waiting time. Having waited 1h10min asked about the food, we got a quick answer of „it‘ll be worth it“. It took another 20min for the food to arrive. The food itself was good, although tainted by the wait and non-acknowledgement of the wait.

Great place, highly recommended! We enjoyed ourselves and the food was delicious, but we were quite bothered by the fact that the menu specifies the calorie content of each dish. It's not a matter of taste; we believe it's a problem that can affect some people. I hope we can all enjoy food without constantly thinking about those things :)

An absolute vegan highlight in Amsterdam! We had the ribs, the Ben Ben noodles, and the Khao Soi noodles. Each one tasted better than the last. A really cool thing: the living library of fermented vegetables. Good to know: We got a spot spontaneously, but reservations are recommended.

I ended up here by chance - I had a meeting today, but my boss was running late. I popped in and was pleasantly surprised - it's a really nice spot, with a great atmosphere and a calm vibe. I had some fries and a beer, which were both delicious. But what really caught my attention was the amazing smell of the food and seeing what other customers were eating. I'm definitely going to come back and try it out properly next time, thanks!"

I was looking for a good restaurant for my vegan brother, and I’m so glad we found this place. Even though he was the only vegan in a party of seven, we all loved the food. The vegan options were creative and tasty. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome, and the atmosphere was relaxed but lively. It’s not always easy to find a spot that makes everyone happy, but this restaurant did exactly that. Highly recommended.

Chilled vibe, very tasty food - I had the pulled pork bun and the incredibly yummy cheesecake! I visited mid-afternoon, there were lots of reserved tables when I left, which is a good sign.

I ordered the dragon noodles which was full of flavour and delicious! The staff are wonderful too. Loved the place but I felt it was slightly pricey - 19-ish Euros for one bowl of noodles. Food in Amsterdam is generally expensive but it felt a tad too steep even for Amsterdam standards. Lovely place otherwise.

We visited SOIL Vegan Café WEST today (Note: the EAST location has been closed since May 2025) and we really enjoyed the food! Everything was very fresh and delicious! The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. The service was very friendly! We’ll gladly come back!

Nice little "café," although it's more than just a café + Delicious food + Friendly staff + Vegetarian food + Two outdoor tables = I would like it if the burger buns were homemade, too = Price is okay - Restrooms are more or less poor (extremely small, loose faucet, etc.) - Indoor lamps are very dusty and could use a thorough cleaning

I came here around 9 PM one evening, and despite the kitchen being closed, they still made me the most delicious burger and fries! I would absolutely come here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for some amazing vegan food.

This vegan Café is amazing! The food was incredibly tasty and prepared with a lot of fresh ingredients. I highly recommend coming here to anyone. The people here can cook very well! I really wanted to try the spare ribs but they are made of seitan so it's pure gluten and I had to give up. We took the bang bang noodles and it was super delicious! Very spicy but it was what expected. We also had a kimchi rice which was supposed to be not spicy according to the waitress but it was spicy in the end...not too much but it was.. And the person who ordered was not supposed to eat spicy... The dessert was the snicker and it's soooo good. Highly recommended, the quantity is enough. Keep it up! The espresso: to forget, not recommended at all, it had a burnt taste. I went at lunch time and it was almost empty but the waitress was still a bit busy and not paying so much attention sometimes. I would go back for sure for the food, the noodles and the rice were a bit pricy. The dessert has very good price for the quality/taste and portion. Happy to have this vegan option in Amsterdam! People eat more vegan, let's help those businesses

Food was tasty and fries excellent, though the burger wasn't quite up to the billing. We also tried the Buddha bowl, which was very good. Service could have been a bit better. The server seemed to be distracted and not too attentive even though we visited on a quiet afternoon.

All in all, we were satisfied. The place is rather small, with only two outdoor tables. We had the Ben Ben noodles. The sauce was really delicious and creamy, albeit a bit spicy. We're aware of and appreciate that they probably use good ingredients, and that the employees, the shop, and much more have to be paid. However, we find the drink prices very expensive (€4.35 for a 0.2l Fritz...). I wouldn't choose a second one.

We were lucky to be able to get into this restaurant. Somebody cancelled a reservation and this is the reason we got in. The food was to die for! The food, the taste, the presentation, ❤️❤️ everything. Super nice people working there.

10/10 — no notes. The food was incredibly flavorful and delicious. We ordered two dishes: the Ben Ben noodles and the Koi Soy. The Ben Ben noodles were made with udon, which paired perfectly with the rich peanut sauce. The Koi Soy was just as impressive, with crispy fried noodles adding great texture and a deeply flavorful broth. Can’t wait to come back!
