amazing falafel wrap and amazing service of kindest man alive!

We came here 4 times during our 5 night stay in Amsterdam. The falafel wraps kept us going during ADE week. Awesome fresh pressed vegan juices, ginger shots, and even raw coconuts! A great healthy option in the city.

Best falafel wrap in town with warm service - I go here once a week before catching a bus.

The man serving us was very rude and disrespectful to us (especially the women). We asked for our money back before finishing our order. I do not recommend to come here and support a business full of misogyny (see other reviews which report similar behaviour).

We had one of the most unpleasant customer service experiences we’ve ever encountered. When we arrived, the man behind the counter initially ignored us, and we had to repeat that we wanted two falafel wraps. His tone throughout was abrupt and impatient. When he asked whether we wanted spicy hummus, I paused for a moment to check with my husband (we were sharing one wrap, and I don’t like spicy food). My husband politely said “Not spicy,” but the man continued looking at me and told me quite sharply that I needed to address him directly because he was “the chef.” The interaction felt unnecessarily confrontational and uncomfortable. He asked again about the wraps, and when my friend—who was ordering the second one—answered, it became clear he hadn’t realized she was with us. After that, I clarified that my husband and I were sharing one wrap, and he confirmed the order. Later we noticed that the total seemed higher than expected, although we had already paid. Before making the wraps, he asked if we wanted ours cut in half since we were sharing. When I said “Yes, please,” he responded in a sarcastic tone, implying that I had suddenly decided to speak. At that point, I felt very uncomfortable and asked for a refund. He processed it immediately, and we left without eating. The whole experience was upsetting and left me feeling disrespected as a customer. I rarely write reviews, but this encounter stood out for how unprofessional it was. I hope the management takes this feedback seriously, as respectful communication is so important in any customer interaction.

We had a delicious lunch at Mr Blou, the falafel was so crispy and tasteful. As a desert we had blueberry cake. It was so flavorfull and delicate. A real treat. We are definitely coming back🤩

I ordered a spicy falafel wrap, which they claim is their classic. It was disappointing; it was cold, I didn't detect any spicy flavor, the wrap was almost certainly not homemade and hadn't even been warmed up a bit. The falafel was somewhere between cold and lukewarm, and not enough salt. All in all, a bit disappointing, especially for €10.50.

The taste is very good and it is worth coming back again

If I were to say we waited for a long time, it would be an understatement. We ordered 2 wraps and it took like 40 mins to actually get the… but they were amazing. Was it worth the wait? Not sure. Also the owner was not polite. While ordering said he is busy chatting and made us wait.

He didn't have some options that we want it on the menu, but the kindness of the owner convinced us to take other things. All good products and fresh ingredients, and he also gave us free melon slices just because we are there. Very nice place

My daughters and I stumbled upon it by chance, and we absolutely loved it! Mr. Blou, in addition to speaking several languages, is very, very friendly, funny, and warm. The falafels are to die for. I recommend it if you're looking for a nice little experience. He's very easy to talk to...

Excellent meal in a quiet little corner that doesn't look like much at first glance! The welcome is very warm and you can feel the influence of the former Michelin-starred chef in everything he does, his love of cooking and people to boot. Don't miss his delicious homemade harissa. We experienced blatant sexism here and were yelled at multiple times. Two customers cut in front of me and my partner, and didn't even pay attention to who were already there (three women). The wraps are made in bacthes and when they were ready, the guys said they were first. I corrected them, "That girl is first, then us, and then you", but they didn't listen, and accepted the wrap given by the guy who prepared the food. When I started explaining we were first, the two guys did not apologize and just said, "But he gave it to me". Then, the guy who prepared the food started yelling at me and my partner that we needed to chill out and the food would arrive soon for everyone. Instead of continuing with the food prepping, he was yelling at me multiple times. He proceeded to hand the next wrap to one of the guys, instead of to us. It was a terrible experience to be yelled at and discriminated against. Will never come here again!

Best falafel I've ever eaten. We went back twice. You can tell the owner and operator has a gourmet background. Innovative products, and every single one is incredibly delicious and fresh. You can sit outside and feel well looked after by the extremely friendly owner.

Today we found an hidden gem (foodtruck) in Amsterdam, the food of the enthusiastic Mr. Blou is very honest and amazing to experience. This place, with a simple but very nice vibe, is a must goto when you are in the city.

They all say they are the best, in this case its true. Very fresh and delicous Falafel.

Owner is quick with a joke, but very slow with the food. I waited 30-40 minutes for a falafel wrap. When it came, the guy forgot my coffee, which than took another 10 minutes. Food was mediocre. Will not return there.

We really enjoyed our falafel wrap. The falafel was crunchy and flavorful. I wish the cucumber salad also had some seasoning in it. There were bites which you only had the cucumber salad and it was kind of bland. Unfortunately, for us it’s a bit too pricy to pay €10 for a wrap. We were happy that we tried but we don’t think we will come back.

I ordered a ginger and turmeric/curcuma shot there today and I'm afraid it was absolutely disgusting. Prepared clearly by someone who doesn't drink them himself and doesn't care what they taste like. Also didn't smell very appatizing at the food van (either old oil or something). But the falafel looked tasty, so they might be good.

Stopped by on a walk while visiting Amsterdam. We got an avocado toast with pineapple juice and a falafel with ginger shot. Very friendly service, came out to clean the table and chairs which were wet due to drizzle. The food was fantastic and the juices yummy. Ginger shot came with an unexpected complimentary tasty soother. Maybe beet and banana juice. Left full and very happy. Highly recommend!

Lovely place, lovely food and lovely people making it. The lush greenery they add to the curb is something to appreciate.

This is was our second time here and we like less wrap at this time. Before they make it with fried green small peppers and it was amazing and really something special, but without peppers, it’s overpriced wrap with only 3x falafels. Without fried green peppers, I would not recommend falafel wrap there.

I have been once to place and It’s already my favourite food spot in Amsterdam. I have ordered an avo mango and mint smoothie, it was very tasty, thick and soo nourishing accompanied by a nice slice of banana bread. Blou suggested to toast the banana bread and he was right. I had the best banana bread ever! Blou is a friendly lovely person, he put you at ease and offers you the best of his kitchen. Fresh vegan, cruelty free ingredients, all mixed with love and passion for food. I will come back soon and I totally recommend it!

Nice cappuccino here. And thanks for the coat, Mr. Blue, it was sunny with a nasty cold wind, I was dressed a bit too lightly. And yes, what are reviews like this worth? Often a judgment is made on the basis of one issue. Well for now, I like someone like Blue who is nice and direct, I don't just expect helpfulness and a constant smile.

This is probably the best falafel I have ever eaten, absolutely delicious! But don’t think because this place looks like a food truck you’ll get your food quickly. I have been twice, first time I noticed the owner does everything alone at a very relaxed pace. Even chatting extensively with some regulars while there are orders waiting and people waiting to order.. I was concerned after 20 minutes, was I forgotten? But no, the system is in his head and he remembers everything. I kind of admire his relaxed way of working in a way (yet I was getting pretty hungry..) - but it also looks like he doesn’t appreciate people asking if it’ll be long (learned by observation…). Second time I biked by and thought ha! no one there! and i have like 15 minutes to spare… but still I only got my food after 25 minutes because he waited for other orders to come in - he makes batches 😊. Still delicious (but had to be late for my next appointment). Bottom line: if you have time, I would say calculate like 30 minutes or so to be sure, go here, sit in the sun, have amazing falafel and enjoy the dynamics in this business as it is pretty entertaining. But when in a hurry, you may want to walk on.

What a terribly annoying man. Looks bored on his phone while you order, gets irritated when you ask for a physical receipt. No wonder I've never seen people queuing, who comes back there a second time, including me. 100 meters further you get to Dr. Falafel a friendly welcome and tasty Falafel. I thought I'd give this strange looking stall a try, but luckily I found out just in time that I wouldn't want to put anything that man touches in my mouth. Gadver.

One of the best falafel in Amsterdam. Once in a while, if you're lucky, you can take a part in the 5-course dinner as a special event for very low price. Oh, and the cakes! They are so good.

5 stars — Amazing vegan lunch spot! I had a fantastic lunch at Mr. Blou I Love You on the Elandsgracht. The falafel sandwich was absolutely delicious — crispy, fresh, and full of flavor. I also tried the Yuki Juice Green with celery, apple, and ginger, which was super refreshing and energizing. The atmosphere is relaxed, and sitting there with a view of the lively Elandsgracht, watching the hustle and bustle of Amsterdam, made the experience even better. If you’re looking for healthy, tasty vegan food in a cozy spot with a great city view, I can definitely recommend this place!

Don't like to post bad feedbacks, but this place not for me. First of all, service is very rude and super long time to wait. Secondly, wraps are cold to eat and not tasty. Lastly, only cash is accepted. For sure will not come again

Cozy Coffee Spot with Great Service Located in a fantastic spot, From Soul with Love is a wonderful coffee stand. The owner, Blou, was incredibly friendly and welcoming. While I enjoyed a delicious coffee, my son was even treated to a brownie—a small gesture that made the experience even more special. The menu offers a great selection, from breakfast to dinner, including salads, falafel, wraps, soups, vegan cakes, and smoothies. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, making it a perfect place to unwind or have a nice conversation. I will definitely come back whenever I’m in the area and in the mood for a great cup of coffee or a friendly chat. Highly recommended!

After a long walk we were attracted by the nice looking tent. There was no one in line and we were allowed to place the order. We had to think for a moment about what we should take and, judging by his look, he was not appreciated. We then ordered 2 juices and we were able to take a seat. The next customers soon arrived and ordered 2 wraps. He then went to work and we waited in the cold (winter's day) for about 15 minutes. To our great surprise, the wraps were delivered to the people and he had not yet started with the juices.. I immediately indicated this, to which he replied "I am very busy, you cannot expect your order immediately". We just left because the reaction was unreasonable and anything but friendly. Unfortunately, this man is not open to reason and may need a good meal to recover. He was clearly not quite right. The situation was very reminiscent of the "soup Nazi" from Seinfeld. Maybe he can change his name to Mr Blou | I Hate You, then at least you know what to expect when you place an order. The tent looks very nice :)

Mr. Blue, what did I do?! To be fair, I was probably not the best customer. I was still distracted by the menu when he started saying "hello" and I didn't make eye-contact long enough. Plus I made the mistake of ordering in Dutch, before realizing he spoke English. So he retaliated and commanded me to sit down. Touché. I deserved that. 10min later he shouted "hello" again. I looked over my shoulder to see if it was meant for me. It was not. He turned to me and said "WHAT?!" with as much pure hatred in his eyes as my sister has when I wear her clothes. "Oh, oh, I thought you meant me", I answered and quickly turned back around. A tear rolled down my cheek. Within the next 10min I got myself back together and put on the most submissitivest of smiles. He gave me the wrap. He charged me €2 extra. I said "thank you." I cried on my bicycle. But the falafel was good.

Food is okay but the behavior of the people who work here is not.

Unfortunately, it had a lot of potential. I've been there 3 times now for a falafel wrap and every time they forgot about me, I had to wait more than 20 minutes. It wasn't busy at all and when I asked about it the owner was insulted. The falafel wrap is quite okay but it has no special taste besides the falafel that already carries the flavor I would go to DR, falafel 100 meters further on the bridge! That one is really good

Average falafel not great not bad but ok, a bit overpriced, the wrap is not great it feels like the ones from the supermarket and they charge 50 cents for a paper bag??

I’ve discovered Mr.Blu 5 years ago and fell in love with the place. The owner is always like a ray of sunshine, good vibe, good music, nice conversations and tasty smoothies and falafels. Makes my day brighter every time. Yes, you might wait sometimes for your order , but I like to have a rest while waiting and enjoy watching the process since everything is freshly done .will gladly return until the owner is no more 😁

What can I say! Drove specifically to this business on recommendation. What a disappointment! What a strange owner, became very offensive when I asked him if he preferred to speak English, "in Amsterdam we speak English" and if I had a problem with that. The wrap had a good taste but not special, Harissa from a jar, fine but not for 13.50 for a wrap. Done and done, I don't need to go there anymore.

My experience there was a nightmare. I was looking for some healthy food cause I'm struggling with a stomach issue, so I ordered an avocado wrap. They first overcharged me, and the guy was also very very rude. He asked if I wanted it spicy or not, I said no. The wraps were already pre-prepared with a lot of spicy sauce, but he didn't let the girl make a new non-spicy one for me. He just roughly removed it with a spoon. When I told him that there was still some spicy sauce left there, he said: "No, that's good". When I took the wrap and turned my back, he started mocking me to his colleagues, saying something like: "That girl has a lot of tattoos, but she can't handle a bit of spicy??". My friend saw everything. It was very frustrating, worst service ever. The wrap wasn't tasty either. And of course, too spicy for my sensitive stomach. That was just a very brief description of my terrible experience. He was very rude and aggressive with my friend who was with me too.

“Ok” falaffel wraps but the owner kicked us off the table to give a seat for his friends. There’s better options nearby where they don’t discriminate based on how close you are with the owner. There were 6 of us by the way and he seated 2 of his friends. Zero respect for the customers.

This place is terrible! Mr. blue shame on you - you are so greedy!! On a warm day, I asked the owner for a bowl of tap water for my dog, and he had the audacity to ask me 1 euro for it! When I expressed my shock, he curtly replied, “I’m doing business here, lady!” This is utterly shameful and shows a complete lack of basic decency. I will never return to this place. Shame on you!

Very good food, BUT be aware before paying because he'll try to charge extra and change the prices shown on the board so you pay more.

My falafel salad was good and the stand is a nice little spot with tables outside. However, when I went to pay I noticed I was up charged for things I didn’t ask for. I was charged for avocado I didn’t order, and although I ordered an iced tea he gave me a juice which was twice as expensive. If you go make sure you clarify your order and check your receipt before you pay.

Had a delicious juice, carrot/apple/ginger. Super fresh and tasty. Highly recommend!
