Really amazing food. This is the kind of food I wish I would get more often when looking for vegan food. I went there with my sister, who is not vegan and she did not miss anything. The portions are a bit small, but you can really taste the passion and thought behind it. We had the Gnocchi and it was like eating clouds. The sauce was rich and flavourful. 10 out of 10. Would always go back.

A cozy neighborhood restaurant. It was very busy on a Saturday evening; we didn't get our food for an hour. There was no bread or anything to help us pass the time. The wine was unfortunately very expensive; I noticed almost no one was drinking it. My 8-euro glass of Merlot was okay, but nothing special.

The Meets has been one of our absolute favorite restaurants in Amsterdam for over a decade. Every time we visit the city, it’s at the top of our list. We’ve celebrated birthdays there and enjoyed meals with friends and family, it’s a place that suits every occasion. The kindness of the owner, the delicious and thoughtfully prepared plant-based dishes, and the consistently high quality of the food make each visit a joy. On our last visit, the risotto was truly outstanding! We often find ourselves ordering nearly the whole menu because everything is so tempting and I’ve always had a soft spot for the farinata. I also loved the kale caesar salads, curries and soups, but I’m not sure they’re on the menu anymore. We had hoped to return again during our last trip, but unfortunately it didn’t work out. That said, we’re already looking forward to our next visit to the Netherlands and we’ll definitely be back at The Meets! Thanks Frederico!

My favourite restaurant in Amsterdam - despite the fact that I'm not vegetarian. The food is fresh and delicious, and prices are super honest, given the high quality of the ingredients. Also, I strongly recommend desserts!

Another unique vegetarian/vegan restaurant I visited. Things are looking up: Amsterdam is becoming increasingly rich in choices. I visited this one on a weekday with a good friend. The Meets is tucked away in a quiet spot near the busy Javastraat. It's quite spacious, with small tables and reasonable chairs in a cozy atmosphere with warm lighting. The service is cheerful and attentive. The menu is compact for both vegetarian and vegan, and with codes for each dish, every foodie can find the right one. We started with a starter of two homemade tacos with artichoke sauce (€14.50), which was quite spicy thanks to the added chili peppers. The artichoke flavor complemented it well, never seen that paired with tacos before. The portions could have been a bit larger for us. The main course for both of us was gnocchi with lentils (€22.50), which was certainly tasty, but not particularly impressive in terms of flavor. Dessert was quite special: pistachio cream with whipped cream, pistachios, and baked pear (9 euros). Very refined and with beautiful flavor combinations. All together, we paid around 155 euros, including tip, including wine, beer, and coffee. It's quite expensive for two people, but for this level of refinement, it's reasonable. Tip for the owner: replace the current light bulb in the beautiful restroom with a stronger one immediately: it now resembles a dark and gloomy cave that you'd rather leave as quickly as possible.

Delicious vegetarian food. A mix of Italian and Brazilian dishes. Be careful ordering a bottle of wine; it can easily cost €50 or more. The draft beer is also very good and more affordable. Very friendly service.

It's a gezellige place to sit. The food was lovely and a great portion. It was quite expensive (especially the drinks), but the food tastes like someone put a lot of care into it, so it was worth it. Personal service.

North of Amsterdam's Indian quarter, a small vegetarian restaurant with influences from both Italy and Brazil. The place is beautifully colorful and mismatched, with a few small lounge areas nestled between the tables. The service, though a tad hesitant, is charming and attentive. A very feel-good place where everyone seems welcome. On the plates, plant-based dishes: a comforting cream of cime di rapa soup, tempura oyster mushrooms seasoned with a lovely little ginger condiment, delicious Tuscan gnudi in sage butter, a few tacos with romesco sauce and artichokes... Everything is absolutely excellent. In our glasses, Alessandro Viola's Rosso Isi is the perfect accompaniment to this transatlantic menu. We left delighted, and made a note of this little place, which is a little off the beaten track—especially as the area seems very nice: having arrived too early, we stopped for an aperitif at Eatmosfera Oost, on the same street, which also offers a nice selection of natural wines and pizzas that looked impeccable.

Food is simply amazing — one of the best dining experiences in Amsterdam. Cozy atmosphere, incredibly kind owners, and truly great food made with real ingredients, not substitutes. This is what a full dining experience should feel like. Go for the menu, always.

Excellent! We had a wonderful family dinner with our 4-year-old and 6-month-old daughters. The waiter was very attentive and we were served quickly in the evening.

The fried oyster mushrooms were AMAZING! We also had a couple of really good pasta dishes and the chocolate mousse, excellent to satiate chocolate cravings with a touch of salt. The personnel was super nice and polite, despite us showing up late (traffic).

Although we’ve had a delicious meal, we were a bit disappointed to see that what used to be an all vegan restaurant now serves non-vegan dishes. We like to go to vegan restaurants so we don’t have to worry about any mistakes in the kitchen and also to be in an environment with like-minded people. The menu was also delicious without any animal products, so the addition of these new menu items are a bit of a mystery. Hopefully the restaurant will return to its former vegan glory!

Rarely have you had such a great meal, whether it was vegan or not. Very good taste and fine texture, crispy, creamy. Always just right. The service is very sweet and warm. Not really that fast, but also has something charming about it. The interior is also stylish and cozy. To top it off, there is also nice music. A really nice place!

Absolutely amazing food. Everything is made with so much love. We tried the fried oyster mushrooms (soooo good), the melanzane, gnudi and the risotto, all super delicious! Staff is very friendly! I can't wait to go back to try the Brazilian stew.

Happy cooking! We found this restaurant at the last minute for New Year's Eve on December 31st! We were very happy with the quality of the cuisine even if we didn't really appreciate their way of making “a plate with 4 mini dishes” or the “5 course option” normally served. Impossible to mix the options for the table!!! I don't know if this is the usual way of doing things or it was the exception for New Year's Eve but we didn't really like this way of doing things.

In a word: superb. I booked The Meets to celebrate my partner’s birthday and NYE, and the staff were more than accommodating of my last minute booking change. We ordered the sharing menu (plus drinks!) and the food exceeded our expectations. A true fine dining experience. The food was innovative, well balanced and all round delicious. There was a good range of dishes, each authentically reflecting a well-thought-out fusion menu. The Brazilian dish, which the staff proclaimed to be its signature, was by far the best. Could not recommend it enough.
