Everything is perfect here. And the food is a feast!

We came to Bonboon on Sunday the 2nd November for my friends birthday. From the get go we were welcomed immensely with a complimentary Champagne and left to enjoy our drink and take in the beautiful ambience of the place. It is stunning. Every course of our meal was flawlessly executed, and the wine pairing was both refreshingly light and extremely well chosen, balancing out each dish perfectly. As lovely as the dinner was, it wouldn't have been so enjoyable were it not for the perfect service from the staff, particularly Justyna. She was amazing in every sense and is such an asset to such a special place.

Bonboon is currently ghosting us: it's been over a month that they said they'd reimburse us 20 euros they overcharged us so check carefully the bill before tapping 😅 Will obviously update this review when/if this is solved 😉

Annoying that I feel compelled to post a low score review, especially as I had a generally pleasant experience at Bonbon a month ago - and it's great to have fine dining vegan restaurants with thoughtful menu's and both wine and tea pairings. I was overcharged 20 euro by mistake, and it was acknowledged by the staff on the night - no big deal at all, these things happen. They advised they'd be in touch to refund me the money. I ended up emailing on the 23rd September to ask about the situation, to which they replied a day later apologising again and asking for my bank details to send the refund. Great! No worries at all. I obviously provided my details but never received the refund, and followed up twice; on the 7th and 16th of October and have since been ghosted by Bonboon, and I don't have my twenty euro. Sorry to complain publicly about this, and I know it's only 20 yo-yos but they really could have just refunded me on the night or acknowledged my follow up emails, especially as they were so quick to reply initially. Would happily update my review when this case is closed! They did offer a 20 euro bar tab on the night but we were already in the restaurant over 3 hours as we did the full tasting menu and it was getting quite late.

Delicious vegan food, definitely worth it even if you are not vegan.

A beautiful vegan restaurant, with professional service and delicious food. We chose the 5-course dinner and a tea arrangement. Every dish was beautifully presented and a wonderful taste experience. My allergies were well taken into account. There's a set menu that changes every two months. We enjoyed it and will definitely be back.

The restaurant is housed in a beautiful building, and the service was good. We enjoyed the tea arrangement, and the food looked beautiful. However, the flavors were disappointing. It was fine, but no single dish really stood out. We didn't even like one course (although tastes can vary, of course). For the price, I expect something more unique.

We had very high expectations, but unfortunately, we were disappointed... the food was fine, but nothing special, and the plates were simply presented. It seems like there's a new kitchen or owner. The prices are now out of proportion to what you get. The wine was good and also well-priced.

This is the first time ever i got really angry and felt unsafe at a restaurant. We waited almost 2 hours still no main course. We were very hungry. And no explanation or what so ever. I Asked the waitress howlong it was going to take and asked why some people who entered the restaurant later then us got served before us. She told us because its a restaurant with courses so i just have to wait. Thats not how this works. She told/ asked the cheff wearing a hat in the open kitchen about it, and then he gave me a dirty look for more then 10 seconds, like he was trying to have a staredown. Very unprofessional and intimidating from a person who has to make our food. We did not felt comfortable or safe any longer being there , and dont trust the cheff preparing the food in the back side of kitchen. We had to leave. And asked for a solution , the waitress still was trying to charge for a full 6 course menu. I declined and told her im not satisfied and very unhappy about the situation. Then she starts to negotiate/lower the price instead of a explanation or apology. This was not the right way to handle this. It was really a shame , and a embarrassing moment for me and my wife. I will warn people about making complaints to be carefull. The place it self was nicely decorated and the location easy to find and central located walking distance from damsquare. Relaxed music and has a chique touch to it. The staff did not like complaints and left us with a really nasty memory. I will definitely share my experience.

We enjoyed a fantastic vegan dinner here on Thursday. Everything about our experience was exceptional from the warm ambiance to the absolutely stellar dishes. Why this is not a Michelin star restaurant is a mystery as Bonboon easily tops a couple of the Michelin star restaurants we recently experienced. Highly recommend Bonboon when you are seeking an enjoyable, memorable and satisfying dining experience!

Very creative dishes, such a fantastic atmosphere in a classy chic hotel in Amsterdam.. very chill relaxed yet peppy and stylish. Chefs and staff very friendly.. Only wish they had more dishes without E numbers.

Fantastic restaurant. We last visited 4 years ago when Bonboon was in Amsterdam Oost, and had to rebook for this trip after our experience last time. The food is magical. How they manage to come up with ideas for the dishes is beyond me. Once a dish comes out it demands your attention and never disappoints. Food Alchemy.

For a vegan tasting menu in 2025, Bonboon fell far below the competition. While the service and atmosphere were "fine" albeit quite slow and unevenly paced, the flavors were mid at best and confused and bleh at worst. The chefs relied heavily on cream sauces when they were unnecessary and dishes often came out bland overall. The food was far from the elevated palate you expect with a tasting menu, and none of the four dishes or the amuse bouche left us wanting more. Rather, the textures clashed (perhaps no where more obviously than with a side by side combination of raw chickpeas and toasted chickpeas), and the lack of temperature control left us feeling... ready to leave half way through. Save your money for a restaurant in the city that actually earns its stars...

Delicious dinner with excellent non-alcoholic mocktails and a tea pairing for every dish

We had a great meal, but we do miss the old owner! The wine pairing is oddly priced. It's €8 per glass, but you get half glasses, and some wines on the menu are cheaper as a full glass, which felt off. The staff only explained why a particular wine paired with it, but nothing about the wine itself.

Beautiful place and terrific food

Most good reviews are from years ago — that should be a warning. This restaurant focuses on pretty plates and pretentious presentation, but the food is unbelievably bad. Every dish tasted like something from a time of hardship — especially the main course, which was nearly inedible. We spent €170 for two people and left feeling sick. The service was robotic and cold. The waiter mumbled through the menu like he had no confidence in it. Long waits between courses, no follow-up on drinks or untouched food, and the dessert tasted like a clearance item from a failing bakery. Uncomfortable, overpriced, and deeply disappointing. Never again.

Unfortunately, after making an error with timing because of the hour time difference, we were late to our reservation. We saw an email saying if we were there by 7:20, they would still be able to seat us. After arriving at that time and being very apologetic for our mistake the restaurant staff said we might not be able to have dinner. They soon came back and said they could seat us, however we should ‘apologise to the Chef’, we walked in to an empty restaurant and sat down. A waitress came over and said we wouldn’t be able to get our deposit back, we said we’d love to eat here but couldn’t afford to pay the £50 deposit plus the cost of the food. She went over to the Chef, who appeared to be laughing and came back, said we would lose our deposit and there wasn’t anything she could do. The restaurant was empty and this was a really special occasion for me and my partner. I could understand if they said we had restricted time because of later bookings but it felt like we were being punished for an honest mistake. I have never experienced anything like this and I am incredibly disappointed, especially as a vegan food advocate.

Amazing place! Very tasty menu!

My partner and I went to dinner, and it was one of the best experiences we've had: the service, the food, the atmosphere. I've been to many vegan restaurants in Europe, and this is definitely one of the best so far. It's a tasting menu and you get a very good and affordable meal, considering the quality and the restaurant. We'll be back.

We ate here a while back. Although I really encourage the concept (vegan fine dining), the food was quite disappointing (especially compared to other vegan fine dining places). The wine pairing was good, but the dishes were quite boring and flat in taste, and above all the portions were very small. Afterwards we were still very hungry and we went somewhere to get fries. The price-quality ratio is really not good. We won't eat here again.

Vegan pearl in Amsterdam.. Ate here with the kids and it was great. 5 courses with 5 different wines. And therefore 5 stars on Google as far as I'm concerned. The aperitif was a bit too strong a Gin & Tonic, but that's forgivable when you can put such beautiful vegan dishes on the table. Atmosphere is nice because the acoustics are good. You don't hear at all that the room is full of guests (reservations are necessary) and you sit in a beautiful spacious room overlooking an open kitchen where everything seems to be right. The bar is also beautiful and deserves more visitors. A central bar with nice seating areas and a reading table and all this in a beautiful hotel near the Prinsengracht and the Westertoren. We had an unforgettable evening and special thanks to the super skilled and nice Juan who served us all evening.

Had a stunning 5-course vegan dinner here. The service was exquisite, and each dish was packed with flavour. Wide set of drinks options as well. Highly recommend!

The food was mediocre and portions were way too small, the servers were cold and not communicating well, overall a very disappointing experience for paying €80 a person. Wouldn't recommend it at all, if you're looking for a fine dining vegan experience go to the Waaghals it's much better value for money.

Bonboon is part of a hotel and beautifully decorated. It was a quiet (Thursday) evening, with a few occupied tables. The dishes (including beetroot, Jerusalem artichoke) were refined and beautifully balanced in taste, but the portions were extremely small. As a result, I left the restaurant with a big appetite. Some bread or nuts would be a good addition to vegan dishes, or the portions could simply be a bit larger. The service varied: one employee was very friendly, while the other seemed a bit surly. One downside was that the waiters were talking to each other at the end of the evening, so I had to go get my coat myself. All in all, I had a nice meal, but unfortunately the evening ended at the snack bar.

On Thursday, January 9, we again enjoyed dinner at Bonboon. Great menu. Less delicious than last time, fewer taste surprises. Great waiting staff, which really made for a very nice evening. This service is really great. A point of great concern is the carelessness in how fire safety is handled at this hotel/restaurant. During my previous visit I had pointed out to them that an escape route was blocked by furniture in the escape route. They then removed that furniture after some insistence. My sincere surprise is that this furniture was once again in the same place and that this escape route was blocked again. Hopeless? Effect = quality x acceptance does apply here. We had made a reservation for 6:00 PM and were there on time at 5:50 PM and the outside connecting door was still closed, so we apparently had to wait outside in the cold? Not very hospitable and poor service for your guests. This door was a sliding door that I was able to push open with some effort, allowing us to enter. Indicated to the receptionist that the door was still closed and that this may have been forgotten. He indicated that this was not the case and that pushing it open was not the intention. Hotel guests have a card that they can use to open the door. Once partly. I really don't think leaving your guests/customers outside in the cold in the winter is okay and inhospitable. This service and therefore the atmosphere of customer experience is mediocre/insufficient. Both issues will repeatedly ensure that we take our business elsewhere from now on. I would think it would be a shame because we like to support all vegan initiatives and basically this is one of them.

Nice place with friendly staff. Unfortunately the food was disappointing. No bread. Starter ok, focaccia tasteless. We thought the entree with coffee emulsion was downright disgusting. Main course was fine, but not much. Pre-dessert of oliebol with an out-of-this-world very salty labneh, dessert good. For a vegan restaurant, there is a disappointing absence of vegetable protein in the dishes. Tea arrangement nice.

The location is stunning, the food is very good as for the service. A great fine dining vegan proposal! I would only suggest to be more generous with portions, especially on the main. We left the restaurant not completely satisfied and we had a 4 and 5 course menu.

This place is just not good enough. Skip this place for now. The location is beautiful in the center of Amsterdam. The menu looked great but the service and food were just not good enough. We went for the five-course menu with wine pairings, including a promising Spanish Palomino. Starting with Champagne, we were disappointed by its lackluster bubbles and presentation in narrow flutes. The first course paired a Mosel Riesling with a fermented cauliflower croquette. While not terrible, it felt more like bar food than fine dining, lacking warmth and freshness. The second course featured an excellent Palomino from Barbadillo and a mushroom dish. Despite the impressive wine, the food again felt like an elaborate snack rather than a proper course. The main dish featured smoked cabbage with various accompaniments and a fruity French Mondeuse wine. Despite its Instagram-worthy presentation, the dish disappointed. The cabbage was overcharged, and the flavors were underwhelming, and not good. The pre-dessert was a chestnut flour crepe with pear and orange blossom jelly, smoked soy ricotta, and a Gewürztraminer. Unfortunately, both the dish and wine fell short. The wine lacked aroma and was served too warm, while the crepe tasted stale. The ricotta filling's odd sour-fruity combination was unappetizing, leading me to abandon the dish after just two bites—unusual for my typically adventurous palate. After a while, the waiter came over to check what was up. We told him our thoughts, and he apologized and offered to take it off the bill. But by then, we weren't feeling it anymore, so we just asked for the check. I guess I'll never know how that Spanish Moscatel would've tasted! Man, this place has got some serious potential! The spot is killer, and the vibe is on point. But let's be honest, they must step up their game in the kitchen. If they can pull that off, it could be a total hit. For now, though, I'd say skip it and check out somewhere else that's got their act together.

It’s great to have a fully vegan restaurant, and the location, with its high ceilings and charming ambiance, is definitely a plus. The service was good, although there’s room for improvement. There’s no one to greet you at the door, which made things a bit confusing. We weren’t sure whether to wait in the hall/garderobe or go in. After some time, we decided to look for staff ourselves, as our reservation time was approaching. We opted for the 3-course menu, and while I appreciated the concept, I was disappointed that none of the dishes had plant based protein. The appetizer was generously portioned, but the main course felt smaller. The flavors in the gnocchi dish didn’t work for me—it was dominated by pumpkin (pumpkin gnocchi on pumpkin puree), with no contrasting flavors to balance the dish. The highlight for me was the dessert: a vanilla pistachio cake with wonderful texture and perfectly balanced flavors. Overall, I’d still recommend this restaurant, as fully vegan options are rare, and it’s worth trying for the experience.

Delicious food (my non-vegan partner also enjoyed it) and friendly staff. The atmosphere is a bit too 'chic hotel lobby' with too much light for my taste, but I can imagine that others like that.

Lovely atmosphere, the 4/5 dishes formula is just right. Some dishes are excellent, some other they are too simply assembly of ingredients. Pandoro dessert is a fail and not recognising it is a lack of attention to the customer!.

On Thursday evening I had dinner with you again, after a previous experience in April that was wonderful. Then I came with my family – all meat eaters – and they were pleasantly surprised. Everyone loved it, and as a 9-year-old vegan, that made me extra happy. This time unfortunately it was a different story. The amuse was promising: delicious and surprising. The first starters were also tasty and surprising. Second entree was less so. Ravioli too "al dente", sauce meaningless. But the main course disappointed. The pumpkin was tasteless, the polenta even blander, and the gravy it was in was too watery. Plus, there was no spoon to eat the gravy with, so it became a clumsy slurping action. The pre-dessert really lacked something special. The other dessert consisted of a hard cake with caramel sauce, a bit too salty and let's not talk about the rest. All in all it was a disappointing experience. Unfortunately, this does not do justice to what vegan cuisine has to offer. Too bad because it is a beautiful location, nice staff and just a beautiful place. I hope that I will be surprised again with your next new menu and that I will dare to visit with my carnivore friends with confidence.

What an experience, we had a delicious, special, vegan, fine dining birthday dinner in a beautiful building, with a very nice atmosphere. I had the tea pairing and my husband had the wine pairing, all delicious, special teas and special wines. Very good service, really total class on every level. We enjoyed it.

Unfortunately, Bonboon no longer reaches the level it used to. The food was okay, sometimes mediocre, and the element of surprise was missing. The same goes for the drinks package. The serving of drinks and dishes was not well coordinated. In short, disappointing after all these great years.

My girlfriend and I came here with high expectations. Unfortunately, Bonboon was very disappointing: we left hungry and sober. We had the four course dinner. It started with a tasty appetizer and a good starter. Really delicious! Unfortunately we received half (!) glasses of wine with a full wine package. The glasses that people ordered separately were filled more than twice as full - a bit strange. The main course was ok, certainly not the quality that Bonboon wants to radiate, but above all much and far too little. 1 piece of pumpkin with a little polenta and a kind of pea pesto. Tasted exactly as you think. Nice gravy but no bread to eat it with. The same applies to the entree: 1 piece of ravioli - more pasta than filling - tasty in itself but nothing special. Dessert was a piece of cake with parsnip cream and it was really nothing more than that. Price-quality absolutely out of proportion. Taste: uninspired. Servings: toddler. Sort of a parody of an expensive restaurant. Yes, very disappointing, too bad.

This beautiful restaurant is hidden in the Rozenstraat in the Hotel Mercier. I was only there to have a drink, but the atmosphere and friendliness radiates. An idea might be to serve a vegan high tea. The space is very suitable for that. Near the Prinsengracht and the Rozengracht. An asset to the city.

OMG what an amazing meal. The new menu at BonBoon is so delicious. We got the five course menu and each course was perfection, we had high expectations and it did not disappoint. The beauty of the restaurant adds to the joy of the food as well as the friendly and knowledgeable staff. It is attached to a hotel and I saw a woman walking into the elevator with a craft cocktail in hand, I described it for the bartender and he knew exactly what I was talking about, Lady Martini, a not too sweet fruit based martini with a shot of Prosecco on the side. Yes please!!!! We have gone there with non-vegan friends in the past, and they love it as well. I can't wait for our next visit, thank you for a night to remember :)

Had 5 courses last Friday. It started off great with a delicious appetizer. The starter was also great. The second course was a ravioli, very tasty but presentation a bit boring. The main course had a good taste, but the portioning was ridiculously small. Was out of proportion to the rest. It's also a pity that you didn't get a spoon to properly eat the gravy. The pre dessert was boring in taste and layout. Ditto for dessert. Very dry without the cream. Where it started well, it ended with a deception. When we indicated to the waiter that we found the portioning of the main course ridiculous, nothing was done about it. Delicious bread on the table? No, not here. Wasn't on the map either. Would I eat here again? No, missed opportunity. Still 3 stars because we had a nice evening with friends.

This place offers excellent fine dining with terrific wine pairings. The atmosphere of their new location in de Jordaan is just perfect, with very tasteful interior, good acoustics, and friendly service. The food was very tasty and featured some interesting dishes. The five courses complemented each other well and were in the right order. The cake in the last course was too dry as if it was a day old - this was my only remark. Price/quality wise it was still excellent.

As part of our anniversary celebration, we had the pleasure of having dinner at Bonboon. Not only was the service welcoming and attentive, but the food exceeded our high expectations (being the second time we've dined here). Plant based dining is indeed on the rise, and having establishments like Bonboon for fine dining, yet approachable vegan cuisine, experiences is such a bonus.

Food, Ambience and Service 10/10

I'm thrilled. The menu was a successful compilation of vegan creations. We had the tea accompaniment. Such a brilliant idea as an alternative to wine or alcohol. The teas came in wine glasses, the perfect temperature, and went very well with the respective dish. Every course was an experience. I'll definitely come back.

I visited Bonboon for the tasting menu with a friend, and we were served by Itxaso. From start to finish, the experience exceeded all expectations. Bonboon is one of those must-visit spots if you have the chance. The unique flavors, inviting atmosphere, and outstanding service made it truly unforgettable. Thank you!

Very tasty high-end vegan food with friendly staff. Recommended for vegans and non-vegans. I actually wanted to give 5 stars, but what I really regretted is that I really wanted to take my mother out for dinner as a treat. the total bill, including a generous tip, was € 160.- The bill was placed on the table, open and with an ATM nearby, and I was immediately asked whether I wanted to pay by debit card or cash. I was surprised, but I paid promptly. A tip: if you are going out for a meal for a significant amount of money, it is polite to fold the bill in half and ask whether the guest would like to pay immediately or would rather do this somewhere else. This way you avoid awkward situations, such as my mother finding out how much dinner cost.

I suppose it’s a breath of fresh air for vegans and dairy intolerant people like myself. Finally a place where you can eat everything! Except that I left the restaurant hungry after a three course meal and 60€ lighter. Not the steepest price, but still a bit of a tall order when the basic requirement of nourishment isn’t fulfilled. Asked for glutenfree bread we got served the tiniest little bun to split between the two of us… Also, the menu gives you no options. There is a starter and an in between dish, a pre- dessert and a dessert, but only one main course. This was a dish mostly consisting of radicchio which I asked specifically if it wasn’t going to be too bitter. But the waitress reassured me and I didn’t have a choice anyway because there was no alternative main course. Unfortunately, the whole affair was exceedingly bitter, which left me only half finishing my portion. I do think the kitchen is inventive and the place looks gorgeous. Just a shame that the portions are rather small, there is not much choice and the concept of protein seems to be left at the door in an attempt to avoid meat and save the planet. I was certainly starving when I got home.

Bonboon the ultimate vegan fine dining experience! Where do I start!! By far the best vegan fine dining I have ever had! Nothing comes close! This place deserves multiple Michelin stars! Not only is the food a 10/10 but the restaurant is absolutely stunning. Old historical building, beautiful high ceilings, lots of space, perfect setting, lighting and ambience. We have dined in many Michelin star restaurants but the food, ambience and service here is by far the best! Juan our waiter was incredibly attentive, he clearly loved and took pride in his work. This is our second time at Bonboon. We plan to visit Amsterdam from London every 2 months just so we can try out their new menu! It's that good!!

Upscale food and service with a relaxed atmosphere. A bit on the pricy side but well worth it. I would highly recommend this place even to non vegans.

Had a delicious meal at Bonboon in a beautiful room with a homely setting, very friendly staff. The food is really fantastic, enormous flavor explosion, every course! With delicious matching wines and tea! We will definitely come back again!

The food was fantastic. Very impressive. It is expensive but I think fair. The atmosphere is ok, but a little noisy, and no music. The speed of the kitchen was unacceptable. It took 4 hours to serve 5 courses. With the wine pairing I wanted to take a nap after the 2nd course. Perhaps if the waiting staff acknowledged the slowness it may have helped. But anyway, I'm tired, and my head hurts from trying to hear people for hours.

Chose this restaurant because I wanted to invite friends for dinner that are vegetarian. Since vegan is fine with them too I decided to give it a go. I’m a meat eater myself and typically don’t choose such restaurants but I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t miss my meat, and on the contrary, the food was delicious, creative, surprising even. Staff was very friendly and definitely affordable. Vegan fine dining, I’ll be coming back. The menu is fixed, you can’t choose, only the number of courses you want but they change the menu with a certain frequency so you can always go back

Very tasty, multi-layered dishes. The current menu is very low on heavy flavors, fat and salt, you could say it tasted like spring and very healthy. Unfortunately the portion sizes are too small to feel full at the end of dinner and the spacing between dishes was a little too high for my taste. I regularly was waiting for the next dish to arrive while still slightly hungry. We started our 5 course dinner at 18:30 and left the restaurant at 20:30 only because I asked for serving the last dishes a little faster since we had to get a flight. The service was very pleasant and if the above points could be addressed I would certainly give 5 stars because everything else was perfect.

We enjoyed a delicious 5-course dinner. All dishes were top notch. A truly beautiful taste experience. The service was sweet and service-oriented and the chef proudly talked about his creations. All in all we had a great evening. The only downside I found were the chairs and sofa. They didn't fit well. It could have been a little busier for the atmosphere.

The most amazing vegan fine dining experience I've ever had. Easily the best vegan food in Amsterdam, a city where good vegan food is abundant. Each dish is full of so many interesting layers of flavor which work perfectly together. It's incredible how much thought and attention they put into preparing the menu. The owner is very friendly and welcoming, and kindly decided to accommodate us even though we arrived very late. Definitely coming back here.

Sophisticated place, very chic and with totally vegan cuisine, therefore totally sustainable and cruelty free, a huge point in their advantage. I love places that are in step with the times and respect nature and all living beings, respect the planet and cook healthy food. Very kind staff, smiling and prepared on the dishes served. Good service. The cuisine and the courses are interesting in combinations, but in my opinion a little too expensive, just consider that for the usual reservation a deposit is required, which is immediately deducted from the credit card, of €25.00 per person. Total spent for two for a fixed menu of 4 courses of minimum size with basic products, a bottle of water and tea tasting, €135.00. I recommend it even if this aspect should be reviewed, perhaps bringing the kitchen to the asking price.

Delicious food, even the meat eaters in the group missed nothing. A little too much sweet for some people's tastes, and the mocktail looked like lemonade. But those points were more than made up for by the competent and charming service and the wonderful ambiance.

We actually didnt want to go there, as the menu sounded complicated. But it ended up being our favorite restaurant in Amsterdam. The interior is beautiful, minimalist but cosy. The service was the perfect mix between friendliness, efficacity and discretion. We appreciated the little words in french, we felt so welcomed :) The food was amazing, perfectly balanced, we rediscovered the veggies we find boring. You can trust the chefs, they will surprise you in a good way. Of course, we will come back !

Very good food and a great atmosphere.

We had the 4-course dinner with the wine pairing once and the tea pairing once (I was curious about it, but it was a bit disappointing). The dishes were beautifully prepared and very tasty. However, the portions were very small so we didn't go home satisfied. Too bad, and therefore 3 stars. What would be a good step in the right direction is if they offered some bread. The service was very correct but also came across as a bit stiff. The staff also only spoke English, which seems to be the standard in Amsterdam these days.

The best vegetarian food in Amsterdam! There is no menu, only courses, it costs ~60 euro, everything was very delicious and original. The service was good, people are friendly. I wanted to give 5 stars to this place but cannot because they don’t accept cash, it look like the owner thinks about his security more than about convenience of visitors, so people have struggling with payment but they don’t care. But food is amazing, their chef is cookstar!

Top. Period. Been twice on the existing menu and the menu is updated every season. Staff also know about red wine

The vegan dream. Worth its money. A dine fine vegan restaurant, attached to a hotel. Healthy food, for me a bit too less salty. It really tasted healthy. :) You will be served accompanying wine or, hold on, tea! I was very suspicious about the tea, because they were all green tees and i hardly can sleep if i drink it in the evening. But this time it worked. Reservation was needed. When half the room was empty, it slowly turned colder. Very nice room arrangement so you could communicate proper. Couch was not too uncomfortable. Lovely to watch the kitchen for preparation.

BonBoon changed premises to the centre of the city in a beautiful location. Food is equally excellent as is the tea pairing. This is now my fave restaurant in Amsterdam! We were with a few colleagues to celebrate a year of hard work. The dishes were amazing and beautifully presented. Each delicious in its own right and very different from each other. The (cashew) cheese course was particularly stunning. The set menu is 3 courses but you don't want to miss the "second starter" or the "pre-dessert"! Not cheap but most definitely worth the money. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

I’m not vegan but I had dinner here because I was staying at Hotel Mercier for a work trip. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by the five-course meal (six if you count the amuse bouche at the start). The dishes were creative, yummy, and perfectly filling for one person. I would dine here again.:)

Every dish is a complete taste sensation. Super quality. And what a beautiful location, so atmospheric. We enjoyed.
