Just landed after a long day and ordered on Uber Eats only to wait over an hour then they cancelled the order. Avoid them and their horrible customer service. Many other vegan restaurants in Amsterdam who deserve your business.

This was the best place that I ate in Amsterdam! I’m vegan and have eaten so many vegan caesars and this was definitely the best i’ve had. I shared the caesar salad, onion rings and mac n cheese balls with a friend and we finished it all- highly highly recommend! The service was great, too

We came to Vegan Junk Food Bar for drinks before dinner and our server asked the kitchen to surprise us with a sampler of their Fly Wingz…..they were delicious!!! Great service, very hospitable environment, lots of seating options, and good vibes. Definitely would recommend, vegan or not!!

Unfortunately, we expected more, as it was very expensive and tasted nothing special. We had loaded fries, a burger with some fries, and two really small drinks (€4 each!) for a total of about €41. Not worth the hype it once received.

Amazing restaurant! Ive been there a year ago and I liked it so much! I am glad I managed to come back this year again! The restaurant is all vegan and offers plenty of vegan options! The burgers are absolutely delicious and they look so nice on pictures! I also really recommend the Vegan Chicken Wings, they are a bit spicy tho. The prices are a bit expensive but all in all, we had a really nice afternoon.

Really delicious vegan burgers, which even the meat-eaters among us enjoyed. The onion rings were nice and crispy. The kids loved the colorful buns and sauces. The drink selection was also great, and the service was friendly and attentive.

Been here many times but the burgers are not what they used to be. They were thick and juicy before but now thin and dry. It reminds me of microwave burgers. The burgers now cost 18,50 minimum because they include fries so you can't just order a burger anymore and share a portion of fries.

We ate at VJFB three years ago, but it was on a different street back then. Now we really wanted to eat there again. The new location is in a beautiful square, and we were able to eat outside in a relaxed atmosphere. The staff were very friendly. We ordered the large "meat platter" and a burger. The platter featured many "fish" and "meat" variations with four sauces and three smiley-faced fries. Everything was deep-fried and, of course, delicious. But for just under €23 (actually intended as an appetizer...), we expected more, especially considering the sight of three (?!) fries. The burger was okay, the bread a bit dry. It's also very inconvenient that the burger is just served on a tray with a paper backing, which you tear when you cut it. We paid almost €50 for the above-mentioned meal and two Coke Zeros (0.25l) - ugh. We were very disappointed and probably won't be coming back.

Unfortunately, it's no longer what it once was (exactly three years ago at another location in Amsterdam). The value for money is the deciding factor for the two-star rating. The "Sumo Platter," for a mere €22.95, tastes okay, fried fast food except for the dips, but by no means "super size." For drinks, we stuck to Coke (€3.95 for 0.25 l...) because cocktails would have been simply too expensive for us. The ambiance is okay, the service was friendly and genuinely attentive. In the end, unfortunately, this is no longer a vegan restaurant we would recommend (in our opinion).

Everything was great! If you didn't know that everything was vegan, you might mistake the "fake" meat for real. There was a bit too much sauce and cheese on my burger for my taste, so I had to eat it with a fork and knife, but that didn't change the taste. The staff all spoke good English and were friendly. The prices were also very reasonable. Highly recommended for people who don't want to eat meat!

Vinimos en pareja y tuvimos: 1 hamburguesa (no grande) 1 Papas fritas (no grandes) 1 papas fritas cargadas 2 Postres pequeños 1 té 1 coca 2 Espressos promedio Pagamos 76 € Euros por esto. Estaba bien, pero no sensacional. Obtienes lo mismo de mejor calidad en muchos lugares por significativamente menos dinero.

While the staff was nice, the food quality is not impressive. There are a whole lot of things that can be played around with vegan food today and VJFB is stuck with this one standard faux-meat option (that they have probably sourced in bulk) which is used in almost every dish, along with a rather tepid looking pink sauce. One of the waiters was also clueless about what the dishes on the menu contained. The cafe is in a lovely location and all they need is a refurbishment of the menu (please think beyond faux meat to all the amazing vegetables and lentils we have and you can come up with wonders!)

We were there in May – luckily we got a table without a reservation because it was raining heavily. We shared a sumo platter and extra fries, with Sprite. The food was delicious and quite greasy – just what you'd expect from junk food. The sauces were also very good. One point deducted because they didn't have the "Fly Wingz" – instead, we got something that tasted more like fish nuggets. Still, overall, a cool place!

Reminded me a lot of an iconic vegan place in Atlanta, Georgia, US called Slutty Vegan. Very similar vibes, especially with clear inspiration from the aesthetics introduced by the Trap scene. Did was very good and the TRUFF sauce was amazing.

This place is a living hell for anyone who loves food. When I was there with a reserved table, I was sold a squashed mass as a "burger." The sauce that came with it was blue or pink and tasted like rotten toothpaste. Every taste I placed on my cheap palate made me question every life decision. I was there with 15 people, all of whom agreed with me. If you're looking for an alternative to moldy waste paper, this establishment caters to all your needs. It's definitely a place to be missed, and it limits what you can call edible. This restaurant pushes the boundaries of what an omnivore can digest.

Always a favourite place to eat whenever we visit Amsterdam. The menu is amazing and to have such choices of vegan food really does mean you're literally spoiled for choice. We usually order a few dishes to share and always leave stuffed and smiling. Fantastic staff too. Can't wait until our next visit...

Visited with a group of friends for lunch and was really impressed. I was weary as I’m quite a picky eater and not vegan so I’m not used to meat substitutes, but there was no need to worry! I had the double cheese smash burger which I can easily say is one of the best burgers I’ve had. The fries were also really fresh, crisp and well seasoned. Staff were all lovely and accommodating to any changes we made to our meals. Sad I won’t be able to visit again till I holiday!

Woww, what a great restaurant! Even my friend (who normally wouldn't give up his portion of meat) was super excited! Not only is the food incredibly tasty, but the portions are gigantic. The decor is super cozy and the staff is incredibly friendly. We are fans!

We went to eat at Vegan Junk Food Bar and ordered two burgers: one chicken type with red bread and blue sauce, and another meat type with vegan “bacon”. They both came with fries. The presentation is super striking, everything very colorful and different. The chicken was very delicious, with a mild but tasty flavor, and the blue sauce gave it a curious touch. The meat also surprised us, especially the “bacon”, which had good texture and quite a bit of flavour. The potatoes were well done, crispy and with a touch of spice. The place has a good atmosphere, it is modern, with music and very cool decoration. Overall, a fun and different experience to try vegan fast food.

We went to VJFB specifically for their vegan bitterballen. We did a sampler with traditional, Thai, and mac ‘n’ cheese. They were all crispy and deliciously flavored. I surprised myself by loving the mac ‘n’ cheese the most. We really enjoyed the sauces. VJFB you really hit a home run with these! Service was friendly and we enjoyed our visit.

We had a lovely evening. The cheese melted really well and tasted delicious. I asked the waiter for his recommendation and he gave me good advice. The selection was diverse. The food came quickly and the quantity was good. We would recommend it to everyone. Our only criticism is that the music inside was too loud so we found it a bit annoying.

After reading numerous reviews, I expected something much better, the food is mediocre, it looks nice, but nothing impressive. I definitely wouldn't come back here again. For this quality it is expensive and the place is overrated.

I first heard about this place some time ago and it's been on my global vegan map for a while. I finally made it over to Amsterdam for a few days and got to try the delicious 'junk' they were making. Can't go wrong with loaded fries and a good ipa, Two Chefs is top class local brews. Lovely looking restaurant on a beautiful square close to the museum area south of the centre. The server was great and made my experience better and made to feel so welcome. Highly recommended if you're in the city and looking for a good junk food fix.

Very tidy and nicely organized. The atmosphere is so pretty and coherent decoration and sound-wise, which makes it also a nice place to chill and be with friends or read something while eating. The person who takes care of the service was very nice, the toilets are also super clean and I'm not even talking about the Pink Tonic gin which was the best I've ever drunk! We visited the vegan junk food bar while we were on vacation in Amsterdam for a few days. The selection of burgers and finger food is fantastic. Since we couldn't decide, my friend and I shared a plate of various finger foods. It was super tasty and exciting to try everything out. From vegan chicken balls to vegan calamari. I can only recommend the restaurant.

The food was delicious, but the service was terrible. The waitstaff seemed completely uninterested, and we practically had to beg them to take our order. They constantly rushed past us, ignoring our attempts to get their attention. It would be helpful if the manager spoke to the staff and reminded them to approach customers and be more attentive

This is my absolute FAVORITE vegan place in the world. The food is so amazingly good, they have an awesome, fun atmosphere inside, and great outdoor dining.

As the name states, it's junk food. Everything was delicious. We ordered a selection of appetizers including the nachos, mixed fries, Mac and cheese balls and onion rings. My favorite was the onion rings, but they were all good. Then we each got a burger/sandwich. I had the fish, it had a great, flakey texture and fish taste. I couldn't tell the difference. The burger my partner got was also great. The service was great. Our server was very attentive and kept the food coming. If there were a criticism, and there isn't one, it was a little noisy. I wouldn't go here for a quiet conversation. It was exactly what the 4 of us were looking for. Good music, plenty of people, we got lost in our own conversations. Lighting was perfect, a calm feel, but bright enough to read the menu and see our food. Which was brightly colored, and first, you eat with your eyes. Great place for some greasy food.

If you have to eat Vegan to support your friends and family that you’re traveling with but you are a Meat eater…you will still be happy and full if you go here. They had really flavorful dishes and you could almost fool yourself into thinking you were eating meat. We had nachos, fries, onion rings, Mac and cheese balls, burgers and pitchers of sangria!

Really very cool! I thought it was going to be a little cliché and not particularly good, but I was pleasantly surprised. The recipes are pretty cool, the burgers and starters taste good, the same goes for their moktail. The tender equivalents were very good, the texture was really superb, and the taste very good. The burgers were also very good whether with imitation steak or those with imitation chicken, they were not dry, quite loaded and good. Really worth testing.

Food was really good, you couldnt really tell there was no meat inside. The chef was quick, but the waitress was ignoring us and cleaning the tables instead of giving us the menu. Other 3 table besides us were already eating and the waitress served them before us after we sat there for like 10 minutes waiting.

The burger with the blue sauce was quite dry and lacked taste, too bad. On the other hand, the cheese is very good, the fries too and very good vegan mayo. The cocktails were good.
