Came in October. Slow service. But otherwise didn't disappoint.

Very good burgers with especially delicious sauce!! The breads are colored which brings a special touch that pops!! A big congratulations for this quality brand!! :)

Junk food, even vegan, can be so delicious! Also the cocktails - meeegaaa! But be careful, the jalapeños on the nachos are really very spicy ;)

The best vegan restaurant in Amsterdam! I have finally been able to dine at the very famous vegan restaurant in this city. I've already been to the one in Barcelona a couple of times but I wanted to visit the first one that opened here. Since I'm on vacation, I went to dinner. I recommend it 100% The waiter who served me was very friendly.

A very welcoming vegan fast food place. We tasted several dishes and one was truly better than the other and well presented. It's worth stopping here for a quick and delicious lunch!

overpriced for the quality of what you get. when we went they were understaffed, so we had to wait a long time to be served (though the waitress was very nice about it). The food did come quickly but was pretty underwhelming, the fries (normal and sweet potato) being the best part of our meal. The Daddy burger has a bright blue mayonnaise (for some reason) that WILL stain your mouth, and the Thai “chicken” balls have the taste and consistency of fried balls of peanut butter, which are less nice than they sound. if you’re vegan and craving a burger and can’t find anywhere else maybe consider this place, otherwise give it a miss.

Very good food and original concept. The restaurant, the burgers and the packaging are all colorful, I, who only wear pink, felt like I matched the decor haha. But what makes this place the best is the very attentive customer service. I recommend, special mention to the lady on duty behind the bar, very kind.

I have now eaten here 4 times with and without my daughter. I haven't had anything other than the nachos so far. Delicious dish. Tried my daughter's burgers and they are also delicious!!

The food itself was quite good, however not above and beyond the vegan cuisine. Next time I'm gonna get something else.

The food is super creative and colorful and you get a cool selection because everything is vegan. Unfortunately, the service staff were rather inattentive and slow, which spoiled our visit somewhat. In general, the restaurant is more practical than cozy.

We came in while looking to get late lunch with friends who were visiting. We were positively surprised! The food was tasty, good value for money as far as Amsterdam goes. Not the biggest fan of the vegan burger used but it’s just my personal preference. Staff were nice and helpful. We got our food fast and were happy with our orders. Will definitely be back!

Vegan food is definitely becoming more mainstream. With this change in demand the supply of delicious vegan food options has mushroomed. The Vegan Junk Food Bar is a top choice for great vegan food. The servers are friendly and efficient. The burgers are top notch. The tastiest non-meat patties I've ever had. The fries and sauces are great compliments for your main meal and the beer options are nothing to be sneered at. The options from Two Chefs brewing are some of the best I've had. The Betterballs are so flavoursome, with extremely crispy outer layers that reveal a creamy, mouth-watering inside. If you're nearby and hungry, this is a great place to stop for a drink and a bite.

Amazing place for food, even for a meat eater

The shrimp starter is amazing. Burgers & fries are also mega. Of course you can taste the difference in the meat/fish, but in combination with the burger sauce and toppings it's a taste explosion. Portion sizes are also great so you don't overeat. The staff seem very harmonious with each other and very helpful towards guests. Really worth seeing shop with very good price/performance ratio.

Always very tasty! I love taking non vegan/vegetarian friends here to show them how delicious vegan food can be (much to their surprise!) I also appreciate that they have gluten free options as well! I enjoyed the kapsalon and can definitely recommend their burgers as well!

Very bad delivery service. I ordered at 5:20 PM and it is now 7:20 PM and I still haven't received anything. It's really ridiculous that you make your customer wait 2 hours when it said 45 minutes!!!!

Delicious and fast food in a comfortable environment

Delicious food and, above all, a very warm welcome from the lovely man who was working tonight!

Walked 30 minutes to get there, was so excited and when I got there the store was closed (with no explanation) but in Google it showed as Open (Tuesday 5PM). Really disappointing.

I passed by VJFB during my tour and went in to have a glass of rose wine and dessert. I chose the Tropical Buba, made with mango and purple potatoes served with a delicious syrup and blueberries. Very tasty, just the right amount of sweet, light. The place has a beautiful decoration and it is pleasant to stay there. Clean and organized bathroom. The service was great, polite, friendly, efficient. The attendant even said a few words in Portuguese. :D

Visited here after having a great experience at their restaurant in Barcelona. The food was just as bright and tasty! The atmosphere was good but just couldn't top the Barcelona experience!

We came here for lunch and had one of the most satisfying food expierence in Amsterdam. Excellent quality, top prices, warm and welcoming atmosphere: we came across with the nicest waiter of the city, a guy from Rome, Italy!

10/10 The best gastronomic experience I had in Amsterdam. We began to eat finely, and everything was vegan. We ordered a burger with shawarma, another one called Daddy (or something like that); each one with its sweet potatoes and plenty of sauces… you are very satisfied. I want to return one day🥹🩵

Original design, incredibly delicious food (there was vegan calamari!) and the service was really really nice. Unfortunately we were forgotten twice. It wasn't dramatic, but it wasn't perfect either.

The bad reviews that say it’s junk food are crazy to me because yea- it’s a vegan JUNK food bar… it’s not meant to be overly healthy. We thought it was great!!! Awesome vegan junk food. We had the burgers and they were super saucy and incredibly delicious. Also the staff were soooo nice and their English was amazing- we didn’t feel bad for being tourists haha!

I love a good vegan burger however this is not worth the visit. The fries didn't look homemade. Everything is good but not delicious. It's the quality of an average fast food for the price of a good restaurant.

Such a cool and modern place!! 🍔 The junk food comes in crazy colors and the taste is 10/10. Definitely check it out if you‘re longing for something rich and greasy. I‘m pretty sure this place will convince non vegans as well ✨🌱 it‘s usually really crowded that‘s why the wait can be longer - would recommend coming ahead of time ☺️ we also had to wait quite a while for our food … but as I said it‘s worth the wait!!

First off, our server was amazingly positive and gave off really good vibes from the start. We ordered the cruelty free and the double cheezy smash burger, which were delicious, but the star of the show were the chicken wingz. Simply lovely! We're definitely coming back :)

The staff was busy with everything except their customers. We were taken to a table that had not been cleaned. Then the staff walked away without saying anything. A little later she came back and we did our utmost to make our choices clear over the loud music. We couldn't even hear each other. This remained the case throughout the stay. It was also a sauna, so terribly hot! After about 20 minutes of waiting, our order came. This looked good and was tasty, but no better than other (cheaper) vegan restaurants. We're not there yet... She didn't provide any cutlery. We had to signal several times for someone to come. Finally cutlery.. Food half cooled. Also no tasty food or anything like that. The prices are absolutely outrageous for what you get! Of course we saw this in advance, but we were starving and wanted to eat. Several people came in and immediately left after seeing the prices. In hindsight we should have done that too. We were not asked whether it was to our liking, whether we had enjoyed it, nothing... We paid and were not even looked at or said hello. No, we will never come here again! An absolute recommendation.

Location is nice and calm. The terrace as well as the interior wery clean and cozy. Service was friendly and food arrived in good time.

I went into this restaurant to wait out a storm and I loved the experience. They have many draft beer options, including a non-alcoholic Heineken. All the fries we tried were great too.

Great food, although you have to navigate the menu around "overhyped" choises. Still a little bit pricy, considering there is no meat or dairy. The girl that served us was of great help and very friendly. The outside sitting is set a little to crammed.

I was there about 15 days ago. The sandwiches are delicious and the psychedelic colored sauces very tasty. Perhaps the service could be improved: even though they had warned us that there would be a wait, for about 30 minutes they didn't even come to take our drinks order. But despite everything we had a very good time and I will definitely return if I visit Amsterdam again.

The staff is so kind, very helpful and their English is really excellent. I felt very welcome. The waiting time was short despite Saturday, lunchtime. Food (vegan burger) was delicious.

The food was great and the options are aplenty! It was cool to see the many ways in which sauces and dressings are presented with a twist! Sumptuous potion sizes as well, definitely visit when in Amsterdam!

Tried the fries, currywurst and tenders. The fries were excellent and topped with all kinds of goodness, the sausage was very convincing with meat-like texture and irresistible. The tenders left me rather underwhelmed, but i'll be back to VJFB next chance I get.

Huge choice of colorful an creatively prepared fast food variations. I can remember when I've been there for the first time a few year ago. Needed to check an additional time if it's really vegan :-) Meanwhile I am going there nearly every time I am in Amsterdam. Food is good, prices are not too high.

I had a vegan burger (with a weird name), tasty sweet potato fries and vegan nachos. Overall, my friends and I had delicious food and a great time. Also, cute interior decor.

Not a ‘vegetarian’ friendly place. All burgers are fake meat and there is not even one vegetarian option. If you are a non-vegetarian converted to a vegan , this may be for you. All VEGETARIANS kindly avoid. Also, sides didn’t come with onion rings as indicated in the menu but regular fried. Overall a bit underwhelming.

Came here after not being serviced at all at the downtown location. Here, I waited at the entrance stand and the tall server lady with curly black hair saw me standing there but didn’t bother making eye contact or even just saying hello. She walked RIGHT past me too. She delivered a table’s food, walked back, thought she’d quickly seat me (or seat myself, which seems to be the going standard at this chain), but no, she took another table’s order while I continued to stand. After she took their order, she went back inside! Fed up, I walked in and another lady asked if I needed help and I told her what happened. She apologized saying the other lady was running the front alone but it takes (and took) all of under 10 SECONDS to hand me a menu and tell me to “sit anywhere”. Clearly service is not what this chain is known for. Given this other lady’s kindness and professionalism, I decided to sit and order. Things went quite smoothly from this point on and even the curly haired lady took my order, was kind, and prompt. No issues at all. I ordered the nachos and a soda. I finished the whole dish, but not because it was good but cuz I had been hungry. The chips were stale. The cheese sauce tasted off, not that it went bad but just the flavor is different than what I expected/what I am used to. It was an ok dish and I’m glad I tried this place. The concept is what appealed to me as a vegetarian and I’m happy there are places like this, fully dedicated to the cause. Given the food, the price, and most importantly, the service, I def wont ever come back to this chain during the rest of my trip and any future trips. I’ve dined at other restaurants during my visit these last couple of days and never once experienced this type of rude/ignoring service, not even when I just did a to go order.

Loved it. Even my non vegan friends enjoyed the food and described it "the best food they had for some time in our stay in Amsterdam". Visited one to many times Amsterdam but first time in the place. 15 euros for fries? I've been through a lot of things, but this really drives me out the door forever. Shame :(

During a February afternoon, my partner and I ventured to Vegan Junk Food in Amsterdam, drawn by its Instagram fame and my own dietary restrictions. While we hoped for flavorful delights, we found the experience to be rather average. Our selection, including the shawarma plate and three different mini burgers, left us wishing for larger portions and bolder tastes. However, the mango dessert caught our attention and proved to be a pleasant surprise, offering a tasty conclusion to our meal. Despite our mixed feelings, we remain curious about other items on the menu. Nevertheless, on this occasion, we decided to explore other dining options.

The name says it all, it’s vegan junk food and it‘s very good! The place itself is cool, the staff is friendly and the food came within minutes even though it was quite busy. Only downside for us as young parents - no changing pad for a baby.

The food really looks like the pictures, I was especially surprised by the intensity of the blue color of the sauce in the burger. A visit here was certainly an interesting experience :) Only the food could have been a little tastier, as it was very average, and the restaurant would have deserved 5 stars.

Burgers tasted very good, the patties were very close to real meat taste.

We enjoyed some excellent onion rings and mac cheeze balls with a beer - location is great for the Heineken experience. Location gives great people watching opportunities and service was great. Thanks - we will return!

Great food, good service, great staff. English excellent (like nearly everwhere in Netherlands). Put some fun into your eating and enjoy the unexpected pink burger, purple garlic mayo, blue sauce and more! Oh, and the taste buds get a treat too as it all tastes great! Obviously a great place for vegans and vegetarians, but I defy any meat-eater to eat here and not to come away happy! MY RECOMMENDATION: Notorious Burger

Much smaller portions for a much higher price. I understand inflation, but that does not mean that portions suddenly have to be halved

The food is amazing! Vegan Junk Food is the proper name for this restaurant. The staff is very kind, but still needs to improve a bit their organisation as a team. Environment 10/10 - cool and attractive space, aligned with the colourful dishes. Super recommend!

Nice place with interesting offer. It's a pity we all, clothes and belongings, smelled frying oil after the visit.
