Usually i’m a bit bored of vegan junk food places, but here they really do it right. The sauces are amazing and enough variety to never get bored!

We went to VJF because we wanted some great vegan food. All in all, both the burger and the appetizer were disappointing. It didn't taste bad, but it just lacked flavor, and I've had much better. On top of that, it was way too expensive for the quality. It's cool that everything is vegan, but the taste could be improved.

10/10 would get drunk while eating french fries here again!

If I could, I'd give it at least 6 stars. I'd definitely give it more. This is, and I mean it, the best food I've ever had in a restaurant. It's a shame we're from Flanders and can't come here every day. Beautiful graffiti wall too, super original! Definitely recommended!!!

Such a nice place, friendly workers and yummy vegan food! My Secret Tip: The marinaded tenders. They're sooo good. On the weekends you night have to wait longer and you can only pay with card, keep that in mind!

Fully vegan with a nice atmosphere. I tried the Notorious Burger with sweet potato and was very satisfied with my choice! The waiter was welcoming and quick to take our order. The only downside was that they seemed rushed to clear our plates and clean the table, even though it wasn’t closing time and the place wasn’t full. Regardless, I’ll be back to try more.. and I totally support fully vegan places!

I wouldn't support this place if I were you. They went bankrupt in Barcelona, ​​and the workers there are still waiting for the wages they didn't receive but are entitled to. My advice is to go somewhere else.

Suitable for all ages. Just ask them to pick the food for you. It’s impossible to find food you won’t love.

The nachos were incredibly good, and the chicken burger. It was cold in the restaurant and several of us were sitting with our jackets and hats on. A very big minus was that they cleared the plates while I was sitting and eating, and tried to take my plate while I was trying to pick something up with my fork...! Shortly afterwards they tried to take the food again while I was sitting and eating. Poorly done and stressful. The place was not full and not close to closing time. The restaurant smelled strongly of farts for about the last half hour we were there, and the waiter hung over me a bit while I was paying. Was much better last time we were here 💭

Simply delicious 🌱 We came here for a quick lunch and it was still open at 15. The service is very nice and the food is simply amazing! I loved their “chicken” and sweet potatoes. It’s all vegan, of course. I hope we can go there again and enjoy our lunch with more calmness (our fault, we had reserved a visit to a museum later on).

This is our obligatory stop when we come to Amsterdam! The food is incredibly good, and the portions are copious. The service is always nice and the staff is friendly and kind. I highly recommend it! I'm Belgian and I should add that I would kill for their fries 👀

I found VJFB to be overhyped. I've had a lot of vegan food and a lot of cities around the world and it tasted like any other burger I could find at home. The loaded fries I had were good -- with peanut sauce, mayo, onions and pickles -- but the fries themselves had no flavor. Service was pretty bad.

Second time coming to a Vegan Junk Food and the food is amazing, rated by both veggies and non veggies. Really reasonably priced. Our server was lovely and attentive and helped make our friends birthday, thank you :)

Food was satisfying and delivered on the promise of junk food. I liked the variety in the choices and vegan takes on local specialities. The restaurant got busy quickly on a Friday evening. Had made a reservation so no trouble getting a table. However staff seemed a bit disorganised, which was a little distracting during the meal.

VJFB is toooooo fire 🔥 We had looked up the menu and decided we had to try it for ourselves . Lemme tell you something, We’re glad we did. We got the Flamboyant Shrimpz and OMG i wish I had a place like this back home. We also had the Notorious Burger and the Chikn burger. The atmosphere was dope, I appreciated the music as well as the aesthetic. Vegan or not, this place is sooo good.

One the best vegan restaurants in Amsterdam! The place is SO BEAUTIFUL inside, the staff no comment, SO SO SO SOOOO LOVELY Hassan and the other guys were so smiley, nice, welcoming, loved them! The food OMG THE FOOD, you should try the shawarma, the girls at the kitchen are soooo lovely too and the desert on that small pot with chocolate, you can't miss it! I would definitely come back and recommend 200000%!!

I only had the classic vegan bitterballen, but they were delicious and the sauce was very good too. I was only there briefly, so I don't have a more detailed opinion, but I would come again and maybe try a burger.

It's been a staple among our Amsterdam restaurants for years. Next to the Heineken Experience and close to the Rijksmuseum. The burgers and croquettes are fantastic, as always.

It’s by the waterfront area, it’s quite good and the service is a bit slow but taste is good and a small portion of food made me full, I liked the taste with the sauce better. They have a lot of options to choose from. They explained everything in detail how’s it made in the menu so it’s great to be there as a vegetarian in place like Amsterdam it’s good place to go to

It’s the perfect kind of vegan comfort food that tastes every bit as good (if not better) than the non-vegan versions. From the colourful loaded fries to the burgers and nachos, everything is presented beautifully and tastes amazing. You can really feel the energy and fun vibe that the brand is all about, and the team always makes the experience welcoming. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Amsterdam – whether you’re vegan or not, this place will impress you. We’ll definitely be back again on our next trip!

Horrible, chemical-laced, and overpriced food. Add to that the owner's lack of ethics, and I'd never go back.

Great food! Very tasty burgers (we had Daddy’s and cruelty free) and dirty fries (we had fizz and mix). I’ve tried a lot of vegan junk food and this is definitely in the top range. Only downside was that you had to pay extra to get ketchup with your fries - but maybe that’s standard in the Netherlands?? Unfortunately the service was very slow and they even forgot to give us our bill, so we had to ask for it. Also - the music was so loud that it was difficult to talk, and this was during lunchtime. Therefore only a 3 star in total!

Last visited this spot 7-8 years ago and being back in Amsterdam I had to stop by again. The menu is extensive with lots of vegan options! I got the iconic rainbow loaded fries. Decent portion size for €16, and topped with vegan chicken and bacon and a creamy sauce. This was pretty good, not the most flavoursome option, and I think a burger might have been a better choice. Next time!

The place offers a variety of dishes, and everything is 100% vegan. Their cheese substitute is really good, feels creamy and cheesy. Great burgers, the bacon substitute has a strange texture I recommend it without, but the mac and cheese balls were crazy. All burgers come with fries, but still expensive

You can also fry it yourself... The Vegan Juicy burger was incredibly dry and tasted nothing like Juicy or Yummy. You're in a neon-dark space, resembling an amusement park. It's fun and tries to be alternative, but it doesn't quite succeed and falls short on quality and quantity. Since the food was really disappointing, it's the last time I've been, which is a real shame. The sauces were good, by the way! Excellent!

Honestly as a non-vegan I love this place. It's honestly one of the best burgers you can get vegan or not. Friendly staff as always and honestly it's worth going to and they deserve the support, the food is always amazing but the company is having financial problems and had to close down some of their locations but not this one so I'll happily eat and enjoy their food and try to support their company.

The food was super delicious, the service was super friendly, and the advice was also excellent. I would come back again and again. The colors and the overall style aren't really my thing, but that's a matter of taste :)

Fun vegan options in the Pijp. The venue offers a nice range of contemporary vegan takes on burgers, fries, and some other snacks. Full bar menu, with enticing cocktail options, and some solid craft beer offerings. Nice staff, and a good stop in the neighborhood.

For herbivores, this establishment is an excellent place to satisfy your hunger. Those who don't like vegan food should steer clear. It tastes strange.

Really good junk food and a lot to decide from. We had a couple of different things which all were good, but the nachos were insanely good. Also the server was very friendly.

The burgers were very delicious. The vegan cheese was very tasty but also not sticky at all. The fries were perfectly fried. Everything’s vegan so you don’t have to worry about ordering something wrong. All in all was it a very nice meal.

Fun but pricey! We enjoyed everything we had, but couldn't afford to go there very often. The kids loved the colourful dips, and appreciated how they matched the decor so well.

Really good vegan food here. So i understand why this restaurant is so popular. The only thing i disliked about this place is the prices! It is to expencive to serve vegan food... and the portion is a bit small, so i wished i got a bigger portion because of the extremely expensive price on food here. The black and pink burger buns are real eye-catchers, delicious, and perfectly matched. I was particularly impressed by the combination of crispy fries and unique dips. The location on Marie Heinekenplein is ideal for a break while exploring De Pijp. I took these photos during my visit—as a photographer, I love capturing culinary experiences in such colorful ways.

Crispy, perfectly seasoned fries and an incredibly delicious vegan burger with a pink bun and blue sauce—a visual highlight and a real hit in terms of taste.

The portion are very filling and the service was very nice. They checked on us multiple times. You can get tap water and a take-out container if you don’t finish your food. In summer there is a fountain with kids and sometimes dogs playing in the water, which is very fun to watch.

This was truly excellent quality. The burger was better than any burger (yes, even with meat) I've ever had. The fizz and chips felt like I was actually eating fish! Delicious fries. Delicious sauces with beautiful colors. The meals looked beautiful! Very colorful and so incredibly delicious. Great service. Definitely recommended. There were no seats left when my boyfriend and I arrived, but they immediately found a solution, and we were able to order within 5 minutes. Really, really good! I would recommend this to everyone!

Nice branding and ‘ethical’ image, but behind the scenes it’s worker exploitation. So much hypocrisy. If you want to know the truth, look up the article ‘Ethiek is marketing bij Vegan Junkfood Bar’ published by Follow the Money.

There’s no way I’ll eat at a place that talks about ethics but exploits its workers. If you care about people, think twice before supporting them.

I had the fish burger and have to say it was the best I've ever tasted. Definitely a recommendation. In addition to the phenomenal taste, the burgers are also an absolute eye-catcher with their pink/black buns.

One of my favorite vegan spots in Amsterdam. I recommend the loaded fries and shrimp! Very flavorful sauces! I also like the cheese sauce. There's usually young, kind staff present, many of which are vegan themselves!

The food was tasty but didn't feel very special. It was a little on the colder side as well which I was a little sad about and for almost 20€ for a dish, a sauce with the fries would've been nice. The people were really nice though and the place was really cute too.

My only issue with this place is that I wanted to try everything, but my stomach will not cooperate. So many choices!! Love the colorful dishes! I also appreciate having a salad option! I had the Caesar salad and the rainbow freak fries. The salad was well dressed 🤵‍♀️ and cheesy. The fries were sauced up and the vegan chicken was 10/10. I would’ve loved to have gotten a half order of the rainbow fries and half order of bitterballen so maybe that could become a menu option!

the must visit place for top quality vegan food

Just landed after a long day and ordered on Uber Eats only to wait over an hour then they cancelled the order. Avoid them and their horrible customer service. Many other vegan restaurants in Amsterdam who deserve your business.

This was the best place that I ate in Amsterdam! I’m vegan and have eaten so many vegan caesars and this was definitely the best i’ve had. I shared the caesar salad, onion rings and mac n cheese balls with a friend and we finished it all- highly highly recommend! The service was great, too

We came to Vegan Junk Food Bar for drinks before dinner and our server asked the kitchen to surprise us with a sampler of their Fly Wingz…..they were delicious!!! Great service, very hospitable environment, lots of seating options, and good vibes. Definitely would recommend, vegan or not!!

Unfortunately, we expected more, as it was very expensive and tasted nothing special. We had loaded fries, a burger with some fries, and two really small drinks (€4 each!) for a total of about €41. Not worth the hype it once received.

Llevo años queriendo visitarlo aquí desde que lo vi en Instagram. La comida siempre se ve tan bonita. Feliz de decir que sabe tan bien como parece. Soy vegetariana y mi esposo come carne, pero incluso él estaba delirando sobre lo buena que era la comida. Hay un montón de opciones en el menú y el personal era servicial con la personalización de ellos. El cóctel de unicornio tipy era encantador. Postres muy buenos también. Sin duda volvería aquí si visitamos Amsterdam de nuevo.

Amazing restaurant! Ive been there a year ago and I liked it so much! I am glad I managed to come back this year again! The restaurant is all vegan and offers plenty of vegan options! The burgers are absolutely delicious and they look so nice on pictures! I also really recommend the Vegan Chicken Wings, they are a bit spicy tho. The prices are a bit expensive but all in all, we had a really nice afternoon.

Really delicious vegan burgers, which even the meat-eaters among us enjoyed. The onion rings were nice and crispy. The kids loved the colorful buns and sauces. The drink selection was also great, and the service was friendly and attentive.

Been here many times but the burgers are not what they used to be. They were thick and juicy before but now thin and dry. It reminds me of microwave burgers. The burgers now cost 18,50 minimum because they include fries so you can't just order a burger anymore and share a portion of fries.
