I went on my last day in Amsterdam- they are closed on Monday which I didn’t know. I went inside to talk to Maria and ask if they were open - she asked what I wanted and served me the 4 empanadas I was craving🥹 DELICIOUS!!!! Must try! I’ll be back to try the rest of the food. Mil gracias, Maria🫶🏼💐

I went with two friends and the food was nothing like the photos on the menu, nor was it worth the price. For what it costs, you don't get what you're supposed to get; the portions were very small for almost €30 per dish, and the owner's attitude was very arrogant. We ordered empanadas and they were cold inside.

This isn't the first time I've been to this restaurant, and the service gets worse every time (and it was never good). After waiting more than 45 minutes for our food (without any prior warning that it would be delayed), I asked how much longer it would take, and they told me they prepare the dishes in the order they arrive. In other words, I ordered an arepa with chicken and had to wait while the kitchen made 11 bandeja paisas—it's ridiculous. When I asked again half an hour later (it was actually an hour and a half), the woman who seemed to be the owner told us that if it were her, she wouldn't have been able to stand it and would have left a long time ago, and that the kitchen staff wouldn't let her come in to help, among other things. Honestly, what a lack of respect for the customers, and as is typical in Colombia, you end up getting scolded for asking about the service you're paying for. I recommend that anyone reading this who manages the restaurant search on Google for the best kitchen organization strategy, and accept that they might need to invest in hiring a real server who knows how to treat customers. Oh, and of course, half the order never arrived.

Where to begin? The place has potential, the menu is solid, but that's about it. The woman serving us not only exudes exhaustion and anger, but after an hour and a half wait for two bandeja paisa platters, she tells us, "If I were you, I would have left a long time ago." Oh, okay. My question is: if you can't/don't want to provide efficient or even basic respectful service, why are you open at all? Please don't waste your time and money at this awful place.

The food was generally okay, however, the service was very poor. This was mainly due to the way María, who I believe is the owner, treated us. We arrived and had to wait 1 hour and 40 minutes for our order. They told us the order was taken in order of arrival, but someone who arrived after us was served first. The empanadas we ordered never arrived. They told us there was no juice, but customers who arrived later were served juice. When we asked about our order several times, María told us, "If I were you, I would have left already. I wouldn't have waited even 45 minutes." María's attitude leaves much to be desired, and we certainly won't be returning. It's very disappointing to go to a Colombian restaurant where, instead of feeling welcome, the owner makes you feel unwelcome.

The food was delicious, but the wait was very long. I also saw them scolding a girl at another table for complaining about the wait. I waited 40 minutes for three empanadas.

Expensive for what it was and I felt very watched the whole time, there was no toilet paper in the bathrooms and there is hardly any space, the place is very small.

The worst place I've ever been to. The waitress looks at you with disdain, everyone judges you with their eyes because we ordered appetizers, they don't give you tap water even though it's required by law, and above all, they don't even look at you after they get angry because you didn't order something else. Besides, it doesn't feel like a restaurant; it feels like their house where they gossip. There's no doubt why we were their only customers. Honestly, a place I would never recommend or return to. Instead of being attentive and friendly to Latinos, they seem to want to belittle you.

Authentic and delicious Colombian food.

It's delicious with just the right portions and an authentic flavor. They have a variety of authentic Colombian products from different cities. I had a delicious Santanderean broth.

The place is very small, but it's lovely to find a little corner of Colombia. The people are very friendly and maintain the warmth, cheerfulness, and helpfulness typical of Colombians. Terrible service. The owner (Maria) served us drinks with a very bad attitude and was incredibly arrogant. Her friend, who was also there, was friendlier, but since the place is so small, she could hear everything we said and we had no privacy whatsoever. The food was nothing special, just average; they could have given us more for the price. I absolutely do not recommend this place, especially because of the owner's sour face.

It's nothing like the pictures. It only has a bar and uncomfortable chairs. The beans were incredibly hard, and the bandeja paisa was way too expensive for not having any meat. I don't recommend it; you can eat much better food in the surrounding area for less. The food made me feel really sick. It's not a restaurant; it's just a kitchen with a bar and a cluttered entrance. I wouldn't go back.

We went here for dinner with my Colombian/Venezuelan family. There was a lady at the bar eating a Plato paisa. He paid and left, leaving chicharrón on his plate. To our great surprise, we saw that they had used the lady in the kitchen to put the chicharrón on my husband's plate... because he had also ordered a Plato paisa. We were with our children, so we didn't make a fuss about how unhygienic and disrespectful what they were doing was. My husband didn't eat, we paid, and we will NEVER eat there again!! And it was expensive, too. No, I don't recommend it, plus the food wasn't tasty. And Maria... she's so grumpy and unfriendly. Tip: Maria, please retire or go back to Colombia because you don't seem to be enjoying yourself. You're being forced to. You're not good if you think this is a good place or if you say the staff is nice. Unless you're acquaintances with Maria of course.

We ordered a bandeja paisa and it didn't have any meat. We asked the owner, and her response was: the bandeja paisa valluna doesn't have meat. The salty beans were a mini paisa. I won't return, I don't recommend it.

I wouldn't say they're unfriendly--they seem a little disoriented, not surprisingly since they're running a tiny Colombian restaurant in Amsterdam and they seem as mystified about it as I was. The food is very good and reasonably priced.

We went to eat at this restaurant with my wife, who is pregnant. Being Colombian, it was the perfect occasion for her to discover the flavors of my country. The restaurant is small and discreet, but the quality of the food and the warmth of the staff make it a real gem. Doña María, the owner, along with her grandson in the kitchen (I think), are simply lovely. We had a very nice conversation, full of exchange and mutual learning. The food was exceptional. It had been 10 years since I had tasted authentic flavors from my land living in France, and we were delighted! Empanadas, stuffed arepa, fried yuca, tray paisa, lulo and guava juice... everything was delicious. The portions are generous, perfect for those of us who eat well. Thank you very much for this special moment! Go without thinking twice, you won't regret it.

How sad that they have a person like that to run a Colombian establishment. María is the worst person I have encountered during this trip, her attitude is really horrible, she is not even able to greet you and say see you later, she claims to be from Cali but it even makes me think that either she never lived in Colombia or her life is as miserable as the face she reflects with her clients…. The food is very normal, a little bland and everything almost bathed in oil, it took almost 50 minutes to serve a single dish and if the food was 100%, you would even be able to bear the lady's bad face. I was very embarrassed because there were some very dear Mexicans eating in the establishment and the lady served them so, so badly that I was left with that unpleasant feeling that they thought all Colombians were like that. Honestly, I do not recommend this place at all, it will just be filling the pockets of a person who has no empathy or kindness at all, it is even seen that he hates people just for existing.

How sad it is to leave these types of comments, but how disappointing "supposedly arriving at a Colombian restaurant" and finding Maria's bad attention and bad face from the moment you arrive, if you do not have patience and desire to serve the customer, you should go home, how is it possible that a paisa tray is served without ground meat and says that I exchange it for a slice of tomato and charges the same and says that it is because it has more work to make the meat, apart from its bad energy and bad attitude, those reheated beans, I do not recommend it at all. Why a person who seems to hate people open a business where they should face people? Maria is such a rude person, always mad and with a bad face, make mistakes in orders and try to convince you that u ordered wrong, expensive and really bad service.

Can sadly only give this place 2 stars, and thats because the jugo natural con leche was really good! But it came way after the food did, even if I ordered it way earlier. I ordered an arepa with cheese, expecting queso latino, or white cheese, but I got an arepa with Dutch slices of cheese… very strange combination. The sitting space was very cramped, with seats for only 7 people. The servers were not necessarily friendly, nor unfriendly. Just kind of didn’t care to have you there. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I love the food in this place, sadly the people that work there don’t like to work there. If you arrive no one answers your greeting back and if you want to eat there you have to set the table yourself or stand by. I hope they could organize better the place and have a better costumer service because they make the most authentic Colombian food in the Netherlands.

Best empanadas in town! Stop by for soul-full comfort food! Great for a sunday with the family! Or to stop and snack on your own! The staff is friendly and will show you the world famous Colombian hospitality. Keep in mind this is a to go business, so there is no fancy seating... but it its an experience :) Highly recommend: The "hit" juices (lulo) Empanada de carne Sodas (Colombiana) ....
