Delicious! And Mrs. Maria is quite a character. It was a pleasure to meet her and share a meal with such a beautiful woman, feeling right at home. The food was delicious, everything was spectacular.

Very small place, not at all welcoming in my opinion. There was no heating, and it was completely silent. Being right in the center of Amsterdam, it should be much better. The price doesn't match the amount of food; the portion is very small. €24 for a bandeja paisa—you expect a truly Colombian and generous dish, and it's not. The flavor isn't bad, but it's nothing special either.

It's nothing like the pictures. It only has a bar and uncomfortable chairs. The beans were incredibly hard, and the bandeja paisa was way too expensive for not having any meat. I don't recommend it; you can eat much better food in the surrounding area for less. The food made me feel really sick. It's not a restaurant; it's just a kitchen with a bar and a cluttered entrance. I wouldn't go back.

We went to a lot of trouble to get there, only to find it was closed for renovations, even though it was listed as open. If they're going to be temporarily closed, at least Google "CLOSED."

We went here for dinner with my Colombian/Venezuelan family. There was a lady at the bar eating a Plato paisa. He paid and left, leaving chicharrón on his plate. To our great surprise, we saw that they had used the lady in the kitchen to put the chicharrón on my husband's plate... because he had also ordered a Plato paisa. We were with our children, so we didn't make a fuss about how unhygienic and disrespectful what they were doing was. My husband didn't eat, we paid, and we will NEVER eat there again!! And it was expensive, too. No, I don't recommend it, plus the food wasn't tasty. And Maria... she's so grumpy and unfriendly. Tip: Maria, please retire or go back to Colombia because you don't seem to be enjoying yourself. You're being forced to. You're not good if you think this is a good place or if you say the staff is nice. Unless you're acquaintances with Maria of course.

We ordered a bandeja paisa and it didn't have any meat. We asked the owner, and her response was: the bandeja paisa valluna doesn't have meat. The salty beans were a mini paisa. I won't return, I don't recommend it.

Cute store with very tasty and fresh Colombian food. The empanadas were exactly like what you'd get in Colombia, and the service was friendly. A bit of wait but worth it for fresh food.

I wouldn't say they're unfriendly--they seem a little disoriented, not surprisingly since they're running a tiny Colombian restaurant in Amsterdam and they seem as mystified about it as I was. The food is very good and reasonably priced.

We went to eat at this restaurant with my wife, who is pregnant. Being Colombian, it was the perfect occasion for her to discover the flavors of my country. The restaurant is small and discreet, but the quality of the food and the warmth of the staff make it a real gem. Doña María, the owner, along with her grandson in the kitchen (I think), are simply lovely. We had a very nice conversation, full of exchange and mutual learning. The food was exceptional. It had been 10 years since I had tasted authentic flavors from my land living in France, and we were delighted! Empanadas, stuffed arepa, fried yuca, tray paisa, lulo and guava juice... everything was delicious. The portions are generous, perfect for those of us who eat well. Thank you very much for this special moment! Go without thinking twice, you won't regret it.

How sad that they have a person like that to run a Colombian establishment. María is the worst person I have encountered during this trip, her attitude is really horrible, she is not even able to greet you and say see you later, she claims to be from Cali but it even makes me think that either she never lived in Colombia or her life is as miserable as the face she reflects with her clients…. The food is very normal, a little bland and everything almost bathed in oil, it took almost 50 minutes to serve a single dish and if the food was 100%, you would even be able to bear the lady's bad face. I was very embarrassed because there were some very dear Mexicans eating in the establishment and the lady served them so, so badly that I was left with that unpleasant feeling that they thought all Colombians were like that. Honestly, I do not recommend this place at all, it will just be filling the pockets of a person who has no empathy or kindness at all, it is even seen that he hates people just for existing.

How sad it is to leave these types of comments, but how disappointing "supposedly arriving at a Colombian restaurant" and finding Maria's bad attention and bad face from the moment you arrive, if you do not have patience and desire to serve the customer, you should go home, how is it possible that a paisa tray is served without ground meat and says that I exchange it for a slice of tomato and charges the same and says that it is because it has more work to make the meat, apart from its bad energy and bad attitude, those reheated beans, I do not recommend it at all. At the very least, don't spend your money in this disgusting place.

Why a person who seems to hate people open a business where they should face people? Maria is such a rude person, always mad and with a bad face, make mistakes in orders and try to convince you that u ordered wrong, expensive and really bad service.

Can sadly only give this place 2 stars, and thats because the jugo natural con leche was really good! But it came way after the food did, even if I ordered it way earlier. I ordered an arepa with cheese, expecting queso latino, or white cheese, but I got an arepa with Dutch slices of cheese… very strange combination. The sitting space was very cramped, with seats for only 7 people. The servers were not necessarily friendly, nor unfriendly. Just kind of didn’t care to have you there. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

I love the food in this place, sadly the people that work there don’t like to work there. If you arrive no one answers your greeting back and if you want to eat there you have to set the table yourself or stand by. I hope they could organize better the place and have a better costumer service because they make the most authentic Colombian food in the Netherlands.

Best empanadas in town! Stop by for soul-full comfort food! Great for a sunday with the family! Or to stop and snack on your own! The staff is friendly and will show you the world famous Colombian hospitality. Keep in mind this is a to go business, so there is no fancy seating... but it its an experience :) Highly recommend: The "hit" juices (lulo) Empanada de carne Sodas (Colombiana) ....

We zijn hier met een groep familie en vrienden van 9 man geweest. Er was al een groep aanwezig die bijna klaar was me eten, dus vroegen ze ons om even te wachten tewijl ze alvast onze orders namen en gingen voorbereiden. We kregen een aantal krukjes om op te zitten, wat we erg attent vonden, het was toch lekker weer. Eenmaal binnen waren er niet voldoende zitplaatsen en twee mensen moesten buiten zitten eten wat al minder was. Binnen zijn de zitplekken ook niet echt comfortabel, er is maar 1 tafel waar ongeveer 6 personen aan kunnen zitten en een nog een paar krukjes langs de muur maar je kan je benen er niet kwijt wegens een ingebouwde ladenkast dus dat zat erg ongemakkelijk. De dame die ons bediende was vriendelijk maar kwam een beetje gestresst-nerveus over; telkens onze orders herhalen, soms niet goed weten welke van wie was, tussendoor telefoon orders aannemen, nieuwe klanten die binnen kwamen attenderen, terug de keuken in etcetera. De dame in de keuken keek erg chaggie maar zei verder niets tegen ons. Er was ook een meneer die de dames soms bijstond en probeerde de boel in de gaten te houden. De presentatie van het eten was mooi maar verder vond ik het persoonlijk niet zo bijzonder. De pechuga asada was lekker daarentegen waren de empanada en arepa erg flauw van smaak, vooral de vulling. Prijs-kwaliteit verhouding kwam niet overeen, ik heb beter Colombiaans eten in Amsterdam gehad dus wellicht ben ik verwend...

To be honest I won’t recommend this place, the cook and the waitress were really nice but everything was messy with the orders. They asked me multiple times what I order and it was just 2 things. The owner Maria had zero service skills and was being sassy and rude the whole time. She simply does not care. The food was okay. Nothing spectacular.

El restaurante no es cómo se ve en las imágenes. En realidad no hay donde sentarse. María To Go tiene otra sede ahí cerca, la abren después de las 5:00pm y allí si se pueden sentar, cenar y dependiendo del día bailar.
