We ordered here 1.5 hours ago and only just received our food. We called the restaurant because we were starting to wonder where the food was. We called the restaurant and without saying anything, the man on the phone said "order on the way, coming soon." Very rude, without us having said or asked anything at all, or even what our address was. Once we received the food 1.5 hours later, it is truly inedible. The food is so tasteless, it is really not normal. The delivery driver was also very unfriendly; we went to greet him and the man didn't say anything back. It's just that you have to give at least 1 star, otherwise I would really say 0 stars. I do not recommend anyone ordering from here.

Good food lamb cheese naan is delicious

Very bad. Waited 3 hours for my food and then reported to Thuisbezorgd that the meal was cancelled. This is already the 3rd time so they can't fill the loyalty card. This is the last time, a bunch of scammers.

Terrible experience. Ordered food via Thuisbezorgd. Over 2 hours later, I had a very rude delivery driver on the line who said he was at the door, even though there was no one at my door. Then he started shouting that I had given an address that was too difficult and called me stupid. I never saw a delivery driver, so I didn't receive my food either. Furthermore, they are unwilling to issue a refund. Do not order from here!

Ordered food here 1 minute before closing time (🫣 sorry) still delivered quickly. It surprises me that there are bad reviews here. Garlic cheese naan was nice and soft, flavorful, and fluffy. Butter chicken was tasty and Ras Malai was delicious too.

The butter chicken is my go-to comfort food! A satisfied customer for years. I keep coming back here every time for this delicious sauce. Unsure how much naan to use? Just take that extra one. You won't regret taking the last drop.

We ordered food via Thuisbezorg which does not disply Google reviews. The delivery was very late (1.5 hours). We called the restaurant after 40 min of waiting and they said that it will arrive in couple of minutes, which was a complete lye. After 1 hour of waiting, we called again and nobody was picking up the phone. When a driver finally arrived, not even "sorry" was received. Very poor service. Unprofessional. Not to be ordered here!

Friday 20 February I placed an order (via Thuiszorg) and got a confirmed confirmation email at 19:13. My order only arrived at 20:53 after many attempts of calling the restaurant and being spoken to with the utmost dismissive attitude that the food is there in just x-minutes, while every time it was a lie just for me to have to call again. The app showed “almost there” around 20:15 and kept that message. Extreme misleading. The person on the phone blamed the weather whereby my response is; why accept an order if you can’t deliver due to the weather? Also if there are delayed due to the weather inform me accordingly. The delivery fee alone was €4,95 with an standard €2 tip which I usually do beforehand (probably never will again.) The food was obviously not fresh anymore and completely distasteful. I don’t trust that the meat was up to normal standards. Almost two hours waiting for a delivery, with no transport and honest communication just to get bad food delivered. I want a full refund.

Delicious chicken biryani. Tikka chicken with a name is also delicious. Delicious. Hot and delivered within half an hour. We're satisfied for the first time!

I just ordered 4 Mango Lassi and 4 Rasmalai here. The Mango Lassi was honestly the worst ever. Not sweet at all, it was bitter like I don't know what. There was no sugar in it at all. I called the restaurant afterward, but they weren't really open to it.

I accidentally selected pickup instead of delivery, but the restaurant was incredibly understanding. They delivered my order for free and the food was delicious. Great service and very kind people. Highly recommended—don’t let the negative reviews fool you!

One of the worst experiences ever. We waited three hours to get a poor meal delivered. After 90 minutes, we called to ask where the order was. We were told it would be there in 20 minutes... which was a complete lie. We then called at least ten more times... but no one answered the phone. When someone finally arrived after three hours, it was the most rude and aggressive person who had ever delivered food to us. This restaurant and these delivery drivers should be banned, and we can only strongly advise everyone never to order anything from there.

I ordered food from this place but couldn't have done it. The food is a bit 'meh'. The delivery is another story. I ordered food at 4:30 PM, and when I stood at the door at 7:15 PM, I got a call saying it had been delivered. Almost 3 hours later. I did have to go inside briefly because the order wasn't complete. Inside, I found the owner. He wasn't happy to see me. And understandably so. Inside, another customer was complaining. It turned out she had placed an order over 3 hours earlier but received nothing. This while she was staying in a hotel around the corner. The owner, his wife, and a delivery driver tried to come across as intimidating, but that doesn't work on me. Threatening to call the police doesn't work either. I called 5 times, and my girlfriend did something similar, but they don't answer. When you point that out, they say they missed one call. Sure. They come up with excuses like we're too busy, 40 orders at once, not enough delivery drivers, etc., etc., etc. Then it's my fault because I'm impatient. They are completely crazy. And then they call the police because *your* customers are reporting *their* dissatisfaction. The owner tried to salvage what he could, but the delivery driver was, I can't put it any other way, an annoying little man, and that's putting it mildly. People, don't order from them.

Absolutely unacceptable experience! We waited over two hours for our order, and customer service was completely unreachable and rude. The delivery driver lied, claiming he had been waiting for twenty minutes, while we had been downstairs for nearly half an hour. There wasn’t even any cutlery. This is total chaos and complete incompetence — I strongly advise everyone to avoid this place!

The tandori lamb was unacceptably sweet also the rest of the food did not taste much like indian food.

The Masala lamb was way too sweet for a savoury dish, so sweet it was difficult to eat. What a pity. The rest (paneer, naan, samosa) were fine. Mango lassie also a bit too sweet for my taste.

Ordered on October 7th. A lamb biryani. It is a disgrace that you call that a biryani. Not a single flavor was right. Rice too thick. Lamb not seasoned. Very disappointing for that price. It says 4.5 stars on Thuisbezorgd and 2.7 on Google.

Don't order here if you want your food after two hours, with vague answers from the owner. You get no update, no time, and he just hangs up. This is disrespectful. Never order from here again; it's a terrible business.

I had a super delicious butter chicken! Very creamy and packed with chicken. The service was perfect! Delivered within 20-25 minutes. I ordered the wrong thing so I contacted them. They answered right away, and it was resolved. They even provided some extra service. I would definitely order from here again!

We had it delivered. We had to wait two hours for our food. When we called the restaurant, the owner simply said, "Yeah, yeah, it's coming soon, it's in your area" and hung up without asking what order it was. The first time we called, he said that, and we still had to wait 30 minutes. He was also extremely rude on the phone. The food was fine, but it had gotten cold because of the wait.

Ah, the biryani here is truly unforgettable — in the same way a food poisoning scare is. Let’s start with the biryani sauce, which was clearly expired and, plot twist, wasn’t even biryani sauce. It was sambar. Yes, sambar — because nothing says "authentic biryani experience" like dipping it in lentil soup from another galaxy. Bold move. As for the mutton and chicken biryani — I use the word "biryani" loosely here, because what I got tasted more like dal rice with identity issues. The chicken biryani had all the excitement of leftover khichdi, and the mutton was playing a fun game of hide-and-seek with my taste buds (spoiler: it won). The whole meal had that special tangy undertone you only get from ingredients that gave up last week. Honestly, it tasted like someone reheated regret and served it with a sprinkle of audacity. If you love biryani, stay far away. If you hate yourself a little, give it a shot.

The owner called me screaming that I wasn't home when I actually was?!?! And then he texted me saying that if I left a 5-star review, I'd only get my order?!?!

Less than an hour ago (on a Monday) I ordered Vindaloo via thuisbezorgd and I've already eaten it! After ordering I found out that I accidentally ordered chicken instead of lamb, but that could be arranged between us. I thought the delivery would take longer, so I went to the store, but the delivery guy was at my door after 20 minutes. He was kind enough to come to the supermarket so that I could accept the order and pay the difference for the adjustment. The vindaloo really tastes fantastic and at least really spicy! I have ordered vindaloo from other restaurants before and sometimes I feel like they hold back because of my Dutch last name, but this one was perfect! And I can definitely eat it 1 or 2 more times! I will definitely order here more often.

Low level. Rude way of dealing with customers

Ordered takeout, which took forever to arrive; nearly 2 hours of waiting. Restaurant was unreachable by phone. Eventually the delivery guy showed up, who wasn’t particularly friendly. The food itself was disappointing. The gobi dish with fried cauliflower was completely soggy and had to be thrown away. The naan didn’t taste fresh. The raita of the biryani was forgotten. The tandoori chicken tasted okay, but I expected more. I wouldn’t order here again.

The food would arrive at 5 o'clock. It's now a quarter to six. Called twice, very rude. First time he shouts for the address and that he is on his way and hangs up. Called again 20 minutes later. By the way, we also live in the south. Less than a 10-minute drive. A made up story, there is a traffic jam, later she says he is on the scooter and he cannot answer. What liars. Order over 65 euros worth of food! Highly recommended, this rude place.

I've been coming here for years and had a delicious meal yesterday. I have visited quite a few Indian restaurants, but this is truly one of the better ones. The people here really do their best for you when you come to eat. Preparing fresh Indian food takes time, so it is normal that waiting times in an Indian restaurant are longer. But that just means that everything is made fresh! All those negative reviews about long waiting times are actually positive reviews. ;) Highly recommended!

Recently ordered food from here via home delivery. The delivery person was grumpy and clearly not looking forward to his day, but the food was really delicious. You can still eat it the next day. I ordered the butter chicken with rice and loose naan bread. Will definitely order here more often and don't understand the bad reviews!

Extremely bad. Order doesn't arrive, tried calling for hours and no one answers. Home delivered says it has been delivered??? I only got a hold of them a day later and they came up with some excuse and did I still want the food? No please not. Would never order from here again

Worst Indian food I ever had. Poor service and Paneer curry was just paneer cubes in ketchup!

Really super bad!!! Ordered biryani and my comment was not too spicy, because biryani is usually made spicy, but there was no spices in it at all. Chicken was really, really dry. In addition, the sauce with vegetables was very spicy and the biryani only had laichi taste, not even cloves and that was not included. Called the owner and what an antisocial and brutal man he was!! NEVER AGAIN. He blames the customer and indicated that I should not have written that I did not want it too spicy and that no one gave any complaints (while there are ENOUGH complaints on Google reviews. He also very rudely just hung up the phone. Also the tika masala that we ordered did not taste like Tiki masala.

Unbelievable how poorly my order was handled. Arrived 2.5 hours late and had called them several times but no answer. On the third bell their number was switched off. It came cold and with HER in the rice. I really only dared to eat the naan. Save your money and order from another place!

Recently my friend and I ordered food from Masala Tandoori in Rotterdam but we did not receive the order. I want to get my money back for the order but the restaurant is not responding. At the time of ordering, the restaurant indicated that it would deliver the food within 45-60 minutes, and we ordered at 6:11 PM. At 8:30 PM the food had not yet arrived. After calling the restaurant twice, they did not answer the phone the third time. Later a delivery person called angrily with the message that they would be at the door with our order. However, we were no longer home at that time because we could no longer wait. This delivery person resorted to verbal threats and shouted so loudly on the line that I had to end the call

Eten was niet lekker en was niet compleet. En i.p.v. gelijk goed maken (gezien het hun fout is) ging de telefonist klagen dat wij te ver wonen. Uiteindelijk gemiste bestelling bezorgd.

I have had the pleasure to visit this restaurant and the food is always good. This time I ordered by thuisbezorgd . The food was its usual high standard and the order arrived at Masshaven in 30 minutes. It's a shame this restaurant has such a low rating most of it seems to be about delivery. I recommend you go to the restaurant to get the best experience.

Normally I am a fan of Indian food, but this time it was very disappointing. Dahl where hardly any lentils could be recognized. Paneer that tasted old and chewy. The raita was very watery. And they forgot the garlic naan. The portions were large, apparently they are more focused on quantity than quality.

Give 1 star because 0 is not possible. Waited 3 hours for my food. I had already called after 1.5 hours but was more or less told not to complain. It will come when it's ready. Yes 3 hours later. Heerlijk gegeten Bezorging kwam half uurtje eerder dan was aangegeven

Zelf langs geweest. Mijn eten besteld en na 15 minuten kwam ik terug en was het klaar. Vriendelijke man, ik kreeg nog extra drinken mee voor de kinderen. Hij zij dat de porties voor 1,5 personen was maar het is echt heel veel ruimer. Ik had 3 bakjes besteld maar ik denk dat we met z'n 4ren aan 1 al genoeg hadden. Wij vinden het heerlijk. Jammer dat er zoveel over deze zaak geklaagd wordt want ik ben dol op hun eten.

Het eten was heerlijk. En de service was op en top 👍🏻. Wil je echt genieten van indian food? This is the place to be.

Het eten is prima! Beter dan de meeste andere Indiase (vaak Surinaamse) restaurants. Bestelling kwam sneller dan verwacht. Zal zeker hier nog eens bestellen.

Online besteld. Nu 45 minuten telaat nog geen eten. Via het telefoonnummer wordt niet opgenomen. Geen mogelijkheid te kijken waar de bestelling is 45 nadat het zou worden bezorgd

Als je hier besteld, ben je wel echt diep gezonken. OF je hebt een te groot ego, en je wilt een realistischer zelfbeeld creëeren. Bestel dan direct hier. Maar ff zonder dollen, deze mensen denken dat je met ze geknikkerd hebt, althans, zo praten ze. Jammer maar vervelend. 2 sterren ipv 1 omdat het eten wel chill is, met of zonder rochel.

Eerlijk is eerlijk. Beloofd een goede recentie achter te laten bij goed eten. Binnen 30 min bezorgd en een waanzinnig lekker fish massala en prachtig gekleurde rijst. Heerlijke Chicken Tikka Maasala, niet te zoet en spicy. De porties zijn ruim en personeel is vriendelijk. Tot slot een snelle bezorging, top!

Good food, good quality and fast delivery.

Wij bestellen hier regelmatig, en het eten is altijd van erg goede kwaliteit. Echt authentiek Indiaas eten tref je hier aan! Het bezorgen duurt gemiddeld wat langer, zo'n 60 a 90 minuten. Maar dan heb je uiteindelijk ook een heerlijke maaltijd op tafel staan. Eigenaar (die tevens de bestelling aanneemt) is meestal wel enigszins nors, dus probeer daar doorheen te kijken. En geniet vooral van het goede eten dat Masala te bieden heeft.

I've never been to the restaurant, but I'm use to order at home every week, I take the hot curry chicken with white rice, it is a large portion really tasty, very hot so maybe not suitable for everyone, there is a mild-curry, but for shure a good "taste experience" and highly recommended. 👍Tasty large portion and right price. 👍At home. 👍Fast delivery, food in good temperature.

Not a good food.mistakenly ordered without seeing reviews. I ordered a dish- Mughlai Chicken which was fully sweet. Also ordered biriyani. It’s a turmeric masala rice . So overall not recommended until they change these

Niet bestellen hier! Zonde van je tijd, geld en smaakervaring. 2 uur en 40 minuten gewacht op het eten. Het restaurant van telefonisch onbereikbaar: het 010-nummer was doorgeschakeld naar de voicemail van een 06-nummer. Het eten was kwalitatief matig. Weinig kip, erg veel rijst. De indruk van groente werd gewekt doordat er rijstkorrels tussen zaten die donkergroen gekleurd waren! Groene voedselkleurstof ipv groente! De boontjes waren erg doorgegaard.

Om 16:30 besteld via uber eats. De bestelling zou tussen 17:30 en 17:55 bezorgd worden. Om 18:10 niets ontvangen en gebeld. De meneer wilde geen tijd geven dat het eten bezorgd zou worden, omdat ik anders weer zou bellen. Hij zei dat het logisch is dat hij geen tijd kan geven, wij hadden een grote bestelling volgens hem (2 maaltijden en 2 bijgerechtjes en een naan brood). Om 19:40 is het eten bezorgd. We miste een naanbrood en hierover gebeld. Er werd mij verteld dat ik maar beter in het tasje moest kijken, na discussies verder zei ze dat ik inderdaad gelijk had en dat de naanbrood vergeten is. Zij begon ruzie te maken met haar collega en gaf eerst aan dat zij dit niet gaan brengen, omdat het maar 1 naanbrood is. Ik gaf aan het hier niet mee eens te zijn. Zij zei later dat zij het later op de avond wel zal laten brengen als er iemand deze kant op komt. Tot op heden (volgende ochtend) niets ontvangen. Wij bestellen hier echt nooit meer, wat een vreselijke service. Geen eens 1 ster waardig.

Biryani chicken besteld voor afhaal, smaakte lekker!

Alleen maar lovend! Eten was heerlijk. Maar zoals hier onderstaat moet je zelf iets geduldiger zijn als je belt. Man aan telefoon klinkt kortaf, waardoor je je afgewezen voelt. Maar ja...we bellen ook onder zijn werk tijd. Dan wil hij niet al te lang aan de telefoon zitten. Als je heel rustig blijft en vriendelijk je wens herhaalt, zorgt hij ervoor dat het gebeurd. Ik had namelijk eten besteld online en belde 2 minuten later op of het eerder bezorgd kon worden. Er stond 50 min voor, hij zei 30 min kan hij afleveren en uiteindelijk was de bezorger er met 20!

Alles vers bereid door de eigenaar, heerlijk origineel eten. Duurt soms wat langer maar zeker het wachten waard. Aanrader!

Het eten is heerlijk maar de wachttijden zijn echt vreselijk. Maar als je dan je eten mee naar huis kan nemen is het zo heerlijk dat ik het lange wachten voor lief neem.

Nadat er gisteren niet geleverd is vandaag alsnog de toezegging gehad dat er vanavond wel netjes bezorgd zal worden. Voor nu dus weer even 5 sterren, vanavond afwachten of beloftes waargemaakt worden.
