A wonderful hidden gem in kortelaitstrat Generous portion sizes, Cale was great! Rada (the owner) really lends class to this quaint restaurant.

Very poor service, they served incorrectly, didn't take allergies into account, and the food came from another building...

The waiter misunderstood our order and left ingredients that my partner is allergic to on her plate. They were then missing from mine. The price is also too high for the quality of the food.

Walk away. Highly priced lousy services. Three waiters totally messed up our orders. They served another table with our exact choices and we had to wait to prepare our food once again. I got a medium beaf so rare I thought it would jump out of my plate. I was probably looking like Dracula trying to eat it. Asked to cook it more and they came back with it virtually the same. But they had the nerv to ask me if I am ok, twice. I am only giving two stars because someone in our group said the ribs were fine. Just find another.

The waiter was very friendly and the beer was very good, that's all there is to it. They gave us the bill before we'd finished. They didn't offer us dessert or coffee. We ordered a steak for almost €50 that we couldn't finish due to its poor quality. I don't recommend it.

I have no complaints about the entrecote with fries. However, chewing gum in the disposable napkin on which the cutlery was placed should not have happened.

Extrem unfreundliche Bedienung, wir waren zu mittag da. Es wird uns ungefragt die Abendkarte hingelegt, erst nach Nachfrage dürfen wir auch von der Mittagskarte bestellen. Die Spareribs (15,50) waren ungenießbar, der Grillteller (19.90) eine Frechheit. Ein "Steak" ca 4x4x0.5 cm durchgebrannt und zäh, ein gleich großes Hühnerstückl trocken, die 3 Rippen geschmacklich unter jeder Kritik. Pommes aus Teig.

We didn't have high expectations, but then: The spare ribs were unseasoned and lukewarm, the steak was medium-rare and almost cooked through, and the tiramisu was frozen because it was still quite cold in the middle. There were five of us, and it took at least 15 minutes between the first delivery and the last. Conclusion: 2 stars for a well-intentioned reason.

Extremely expensive for what it is. The prices displayed do not correspond to the rating. We forgot to tell you the extras. A hamburger, we bring you ketchup and mayo and 5€ extra. For the meat we bring you a sauce and €2.50 extra. You get enchiladas, 2 plates because there are 4 of you, they come with a sauce and €5 more and everything is like that. Result you end up with a salty note 235€ only aperitifs and meats To enjoy the complicated evening because in less than 45 minutes everything is shipped...goodbye Tourist trap

The place is nice, nothing more, comfortable bench, the orders taken by a gentleman of a certain age or even a certain age. Unpretentious place and cuisine, but good. Found this place by chance with my boyfriend, we ordered a mix of steaks, I can't say that it's amazing, but it's delicious. Everyone should try Argentinian sauce, it is very tasty. I liked this place, we were there twice in different periods. The staff is very friendly, but in my opinion, the design of the establishment needs to be updated a little

I had lunch at Maya’s Steak House in Amsterdam and it was a great experience. I ordered the lunch steak set for just 15 euros – it included a 200g steak, salad, and French fries. The beef was high quality and perfectly cooked. The service was also excellent. Karin who served me, was very knowledgeable, cheerful, and professional. She made the experience even better. I liked it so much, I went back a second time and tried the T-bone steak – it was perfect! This time, I also had the chance to meet the owner. He’s a very energetic and friendly person. You can tell he really cares about his restaurant and customers. Highly recommend – definitely one of the best steak houses in Amsterdam!

Maya’s Steakhouse delivers where it matters most - the steaks. We dined as a family of three and all ordered the 200g cut with fries. The meat was cooked just right, the fries were crisp, and the overall quality of the food was impressive. That said, it’s a bit sad that sauces aren’t included — even one house sauce would go a long way in rounding out the dish. Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Still, the space itself could benefit from a bit more visual interest. The décor is quite plain, and the muted TV felt out of place. A few more personal or varied design touches could make the experience more memorable. Overall, Maya’s offers great value for steak lovers and a solid dining experience. A bit more attention to detail in the setting would easily raise it to the next level.
