Wonderfully cozy, hospitable, and definitely worth repeating. And yes, I've been back countless times since. When the weather is nice, you can also enjoy a meal outside.

A scam to avoid. They brought us fries and bulgur without asking. Thinking it was free, we didn't say anything. Besides, the bulgur was pictured as part of the dish. And they charged us even though we hadn't ordered anything in the first place. Really disappointed, especially since the food wasn't anything special.

We came as a group of seven and everything was handled perfectly. The service was attentive, friendly and incredibly well-organized, they took great care of our whole table from start to finish. The food was beyond excellent: delicious, generous portions, and full of flavor. An outstanding experience all around. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!

Kofte was very tough bad service and never again there!

Raki is the place that introduced the "appetizer-meat triangle" to Amsterdam. Choose the spicy cheese and gavur mountain appetizers. The mixed meat platter was also a success.

Great restaurant. You can eat here with a wide variety of people, because they have everything from meat and fish to vegetarian and vegan options. I had the vegan eggplant dish, and it was delicious! I highly recommend it! The staff is also super friendly and welcoming.

We discovered Maydanoz by chance and booked a table online straight away – everything was super easy. We received a very warm welcome; the hosts are truly incredibly friendly and attentive. The food was a real highlight: a large selection of delicious mezze, freshly prepared and full of flavor. We were particularly impressed by the variety of vegetarian and vegan options – there's truly something for everyone. An all-round successful evening in a relaxed atmosphere. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. When you walk in, you're greeted by a very strong dog smell. My friends ordered something, and everything was simply a child's portion size. It seems very unprofessional there. You tell them you want to pay, and then they charge the entire bill. Hey, why don't you ask first, separately or together? Well, overall, it was too expensive for everything.

I ve been eating in this place recently after visiting it few times in the past. It never disappoints !! Great food. Ordering few dishes and sharing is the best way to discover and enjoy great dishes and many great flavours. Highly , highly recommended

We came to this establishment so that our child could eat properly. We are glad we did. The food is delicious and the price is in the Amsterdam average. There are no surprises. The staff is friendly. The service is very good. They even tolerated our little girl's little mischief with a smile, thank you. I recommend it.

The food was incredibly flavorful. I see why they're consistently receiving awards and in lists of best restaurants around Amsterdam. The portions were relatively large and perfect for sharing. We split four tapas and a main, which was too much food even though we were two hungry people. We probably would have been fine with five tapas. I enjoyed everything very much.

Very tasty food and fantastic service. We chose a vegan meze mix. We got the Beyaz Fasulye (lima beans), Babaganuc and Humus. The lima beans were the most delicious beans I have ever eaten, and the Babaganuc and Humus were soft and incredibly deep in flavor sensation (smoked?). The Turkish wine was also fantastic. Both men serving were extremely friendly and hospitable. Thank you.

We discovered the restaurant by chance and were thrilled. Despite the restaurant being full, the owner Kâzım and Ali had time for each guest personally. The mezes, especially Ceviz Ezmesi and İçli Köfte were excellent. The meat is high quality and very tasty. All in all, it enriched our evening in Amsterdam and I can only recommend it to everyone.

Rude waiter who was upset at us for having 9 people instead of the reserved 10, and also upset at us for two people not ordering a main despite us ordering more mains than people (we ordered a few mixed grills to share) and ordering takeaway food on top of that. The food was overpriced. They charge €3 for water.

I stopped by Maydanoz to grab a takeaway and they helped me right away, even though it was a busy Saturday night. I loved the atmosphere inside, honestly I wish I had dined in! The staff was incredibly friendly, the service was fast and they even added an extra dish to my order for me to try. I’ll definitely be dining in at some point!

I placed my order, first I asked for soup, my soup was not enough, the official came, I asked why you put less soup, the answer given to me was that if I put too much soup, you will be full with soup, I will not make money, although we ate everything we ordered, it is very good and it makes money, but if the first reason here is to make money, this business will not last long. priority is customer satisfaction. They also have heating problems. I asked why it was cold while drinking. Thermostat showed me it was 21 degrees. He said that the powerful hood in the kitchen draws the air strongly when the outer door is opened. He showed me the location of 3 radiators. I touched those radiators with my hand, none of them were working. The radiators were cold and the business owner treats the customer like an idiot. It was as if the customer had never been to a hot establishment, the food was hot, but my feet were freezing while eating, so there is no point in eating hot food. If the thermostat shows 21 degrees inside, the radiators he showed me are cold, which I personally touched the radiators with my hand, and they were not hot at all. While I was checking the radiators, he saw that I was checking them, but I don't think he cares at all. If it is 21 degrees and it is cold inside according to the thermostat, the owner of the business works only for money, I don't think it has anything to do with customer satisfaction and treats the customer as a fool. Make the parsley thermostat to 22 degrees and turn on the radiators inside so that the inside can get warm. I am not an idiot like other customers. Your radiators are not working, you have turned them off. I AM NOT SO STUPID THAT I CANNOT DIFFERENTIATE HOT AND COLD. HEAT YOUR BUSINESS FIRST. DO NOT BLAME THE HOOD IN THE KITCHEN. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE HOOD.

I recently dined at Maydanoz Turks Restaurant in Amsterdam, hoping for an authentic Mediterranean dining experience, but sadly, it fell short of expectations. The dishes seemed quite ordinary, and while they were not terrible, they didn’t stand out or feel worth the premium. For the prices charged, I expected much more in terms of taste and presentation. The portions were modest, but the flavors were underwhelming, leaving me feeling disappointed, especially considering how expensive it was. I have experienced better Mediterranean cuisine at a fraction of the cost elsewhere. While the atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and the staff polite, the food itself just didn’t justify the high prices. If you’re looking for great Mediterranean food in Amsterdam, I’d suggest exploring other options. Maydanoz Turks Restaurant didn’t live up to its reputation, and unfortunately, I won’t be returning.

Een wat beter Turks restaurant. Gebruikelijke gerechten als Sis kebap, lamskoteletten, Beyti en de onvermijdelijke mixed grill. Heel standaard en smakelijk maar heel middle of the road en absoluut niet bijzonder. Prijzen wat hoger dan standaard. Ik snap bijvoorbeeld niet dat een vrij klein schaaltje humus € 8,90 moet kosten. De bediening is vriendelijk en zelfs hartelijk. Maar dat laatste alleen als je de eigenaar kent. Als ik Maydanoz in 1 woord moet beschrijven dan komt "overrated" bij mij op.

No kebab para llevar, sino un verdadero restaurante turco donde la comida como nuestra Anne hace y todo el mundo es turco, hablando turco. Nos encontramos con Maydanoz en Google, era 1. A 4 km de nuestro hotel. € 11 en nuestro Uber Tenían un montón de parrilla de charchol, chapuzones, todos los favoritos principales. Teníamos saksuka, burek de puros, chuletas de cordero de Australia (como nosotros) y shish de pollo. Ensaladas, bulgur, pan turco caliente y patatas fritas también eran agradables. Atendieron mis alergias alimentarias Todo una gran comida, a un precio razonable.

The ambience of the restaurant is stylish and very inviting at the same time - the perfect mix of elegance and coziness. The menu is diverse and offers a wonderful selection of traditional and modern dishes. I was particularly impressed by the freshness of the ingredients and the creativity of the presentation. Every dish we tried was a culinary delight - the starter platter and the main course with sea bream were particularly outstanding. The service at Maydonoz is first class. The staff is attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the food and drinks on offer. They were always there to fulfill our wishes. I can highly recommend Maydonoz Restaurant to anyone who wants to experience an unforgettable evening with excellent cuisine and service. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Very delicious mezzes! They had some different options compared to similar places and all the mezes we tried were absolutely delicious! The owner was very friendly and helpful. It was our first time there and he made us feel welcomed. We sat outside. The place is in a big street but tucked on the quiet part. It was nice to be able to sit outside and enjoy the nice weather!

Food is just fresh and delicious...plenty of choice for any vegetarian or meat lover. Warm or cold...we picked the meze for 2 people which was 3 cold and 3 warm dishes. Less than €70 for 2 people with a bottle of house red wine 🍷 It's middle eastern food so you cannot go wrong 😀

We had one of the dinners here during the tour we participated in. Since we were a very crowded group, the small size of the place caused some movement restrictions, but the lentil soup and lamb sis we ate were so delicious that I cannot eat lamb. It is nice and traditional turkish restaurant in de pijp. The menu is diverse and you can find vegetarian things in addition to meat dishes like lamb, beef, chicken and fish. If you are not sure what to get, there is smaller portions of the main dishes you can share. Even you can find raki aka “turkish lion milk” with different brands. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The price is really affordable for this type of restaurant.

Mayadanoz es una joya escondida! Cuando visitamos la noche fue un poco agitado (se cortó la luz en el barrio, las mesas estaban ocupadas, etc) , pero todavía nos dieron un servicio estelar! Debido al corte de energía, no pudimos pedir comidas calientes de inmediato, pero sus platos fríos eran fenomenales. Podría decir que cada persona que trabaja allí pone su corazón y alma en este restaurante, y se nota. ¡Estoy emocionado de volver!

An amazing cuisine after hectic first day at Money2020 in Amsterdam. The restaurant was quiet at around 6.15pm. We got humus and bread to start with and then mix grill and a fish. Food was tasty, well cooked and delicious. Recommended.
