Mazzeltof in Oude Pijp

Really awesome bar had a great conversation with the bar tender and people there it also felt really oldschool and just like a pub you want to get a great beer from and all this even tho it is in a verry touristic area. I passed by and by chance I just stumbled into it alone and definitely will come back

Similar to some of the experiences others have shared, we encountered xenophobia. A local approached us unprovoked and told us that we are ‘turds,’ that we are on a much lower level than he is, and that Amsterdam is ‘his city.’ It made us feel very unwelcome, and we decided to leave afterward.

Mazzeltof is fantastic; the friendliness, the warmth, and the delicious drinks are just perfect! Respect and a huge thank you to the hardworking staff and the friendly owner :) Keep up the good work!

Cool, but not really that cool. A night bar that closes at 3am is mediocre, and also 4.50 for a beer is absurd ?????? Good music iguess

The barman gave of a really shady vibe and telling everyone his far right political opinions and got really aggressive id you disagree

Awful place. The bouncer manhandled my female friend for breaking up a fight. Ridiculous behaviour and clearly has no idea how to be a serious security officer. I would like to take this matter further.

The prices of their drinks are in line with market prices so don't be afraid of getting ripped off. Super nice cafe, highly recommended. After 2 hours, a super cozy atmosphere, nice and busy. And very friendly people behind the bar, especially Emre the boss. He makes the cocktails a little too well.

quite funny that i saw some bad reviews about this cafe but that gave me the reason to sneak a look. from the moment I walked in they welcomed me very nicely and I felt seen in such a busy cafe. the atmosphere is also very nice and the lovely woman who works here takes her time to give you options on the drinks. so i give it a 9 out of 10. it was worth a try and i will definitely come back for more drinks.

An institution for a reason. Cheap drinks and a fun place to be when you’re in de pijp and don’t know what to do with yourself. Very dead before 11-12, but that’s to be expected

This is a locals bar. This is not a place for tourists. Which is Awesome! The people you cross paths with here probably live in the neighborhood. If you don't speak any Dutch go someplace else. Because you will have problems ordering. We will for sure be back. There is music but not so loud you can't have a conversation. I like this place!!!!
