McDonald's in Centrum

One of the nicest McDonald's I've ever been to. Everything was super clean and tidy. A very nice restaurant.

There are far better places to go eat.

Cold French fries and nuggets in the happy meal. The most of the tables were very dirty

Great for a quick bite. Not too expensive and pretty good food. Tasty ice cream. It is striking that many employees have foreign roots and hardly speak Dutch.

I regularly eat ice cream at various McDonald's. This time it was very disappointing. The ice cream was very small.

The quarterpounder hamburger on the plate was very dry. The service, however, was very good. The lady walked downstairs with the second tray.

Ordered food from the vending machine and received it quickly.

What you get doesn't even look like what is depicted on all those posters, and tastes like nothing.

We were in Groningen on May 1st and got some food here. The staff was completely overwhelmed because it was incredibly busy. Then they forgot our order, and eventually we got old, lukewarm burgers. The kicker was that paying customers had to pay 70 cents to use the toilet 😤 We went back again on July 10th; the kids really wanted to go... nothing had changed. It was still dirty, and the tables and trash cans weren't being emptied. That was definitely the last time we'll ever go there.

This eatery is the perfect place to unwind after a long, stressful day. I notice that every time I walk in here, I feel a tickle in my body. This is truly a safe space for me, and I am non-binary myself, just like all the staff here, and because of that, I feel accepted in this beautiful McDonald's. The food was delicious too. I thoroughly enjoyed the perfect marinated chicken and the grease dripping off it. I think the staff use this as shampoo too; what a coincidence. Maybe that's why there was a hair in my burger, but I don't mind at all. If you have short, brown hair, and perhaps from someone with a somewhat longer neck, then you know you might need to wear a cap next time. I will definitely be back here again. Thanks. The food was greasy, but my goat was there, G. He definitely made sure my day improved despite the crooked burger. I came all the way from North Brabant to spend a weekend in Groningen, and I certainly recommend this meal to others! Dattebayo!!

Both McDonalds from Groningen manage to give you the wrong orders, horrible service and employees that are not even remotely interested of being there!!!

The McChicken was delicious. However, I needed almost a soup spoon for the McFlurry. It was all water. The service was fine.

Expensive, everything gets forgotten, that's not so great.

Every time I ordered they got the order wrong

I tried to call, I didn't know what they had, but I was hung up immediately as if it were a teenager who wasn't in the mood today. I got an angry response; he said loudly, "I don't know either, have fun searching, bye!"

Great, more for quick meals, but very unsuitable for families with children and strollers. It's too cramped, and going downstairs with a baby down the narrow stairs is very dangerous. It would be better to have a small changing room at the entrance and an extra table for strollers. The problem is that you always have to pay 50 cents for a token when eating at McDonald's. This is okay for tourists. Unfortunately, there's often no toilet paper in the women's area and no refills. Also, the tables aren't clean, and the trash is overflowing. Many people don't clear their tables.

Ordered a McFlurry M&M, got a Malteser, and didn't get a new McFlurry or a refund either. BAD restaurant.

Very nice McDonald's, found it modern and tastefully decorated

It was nice and quiet there. I ordered a Happy Meal for my child. The question was whether to get a book or a toy; he asked for a book and got a toy. For a drink, he asked for apple juice but received no drink at all (even though he paid for it). When asked for apples or tomatoes, he asked for tomatoes but got apples. Moreover, all the tables downstairs were very dirty. A real disappointment... especially considering the exorbitant prices they charge.

I'm really not sorry at all... 50 cents for toilets in a real emergency and you get the absolute worst (literally... See picture). I've been to many stadiums, clubs, discount stores, motorway service stations, and train station toilets... But I've truly never seen anything like this for 50 cents.

High prices for food that won't even fill a fly's stomach. Absolutely ridiculous. I've noticed that this McDonald's adds a few cents more to all its products than other places, and this isn't the worst part. The worst part is that the food is so incredibly small. The milkshake was literally only half full, and the cola was only 70% full. It's ridiculous. The wait time is also a problem. There are very few people here, and the wait is so long. All the seats are closed. Only a few chairs next to the kitchen are still available, but everything else is closed. You can't even charge your phone; there's no outlet. This is the second worst McDonald's I've ever been to; the first is in Amsterdam.

It's a bit of a shame that you place a reasonably small order more than 2 hours before closing time and then, after waiting for 2 hours, you have to hear that the order has been cancelled because you are closed then.

Paying for toilets is one thing, but the fact that the toilets are clogged and toilet paper is out of stock is ridiculous. It's a huge mess in the store, too.

During peak hours, wait times for food can be quite long. However, the quality of the food and the hygiene are excellent. However, there's room for improvement in table cleaning, as we were forced to sit at an uncleaned table. Finally, it's a drawback that the restrooms aren't free for guests.

Dirty, even if you looked around, the food was half on the floor. If you want to use the toilet, you pay 50 cents. If you don't use it, you can still go to the toilet. It's disgusting, poop on the floor, blood and other rubbish. If you report it to the staff, they say, "Do Tranqilo."

Finding a clean eating area is a challenge here. Everything is dirty. You stick to the floor. Be careful not to slip on the stairs. The floor and tables are covered with food scraps and/or drinks.

Cold food and barely any effort to deliver anything decent. Wrong-flavored milkshake, cold fries, and a hamburger with only half a pickle slice on it. Absolutely ridiculous for what you pay.

If you order through Thuisbezorgd, you're literally at the bottom of the list at this McDonald's. And this isn't just based on one experience, but always the case. Today I waited 2.5 hours for my order. Even if you come by yourself, all the staff walk slower than a snail. Now I have to wait two hours before they even start preparing. And then it still has to be delivered. So, ordering at 4 pm if you want to eat at 6 pm. And five times in a row, no fries sauce for which you pay a euro. I've gotten used to that by now, no matter how bad it is. By far the worst McDonald's in Groningen, and I've seen enough of it around the world, so it's really the worst in the world, and that's the fault of the staff and management. I'd be mortified if I were Johan Brakema!!!

This McDonald's operates just like the American ones. They forgot my quarter pounder.

Centrally located and convenient for a quick bite. The staff was friendly and the order arrived quickly enough. It was a bit crowded inside, and not very clean. Fine for a quick stop, but not the most inviting place to sit for a long time.

I don't understand why you order a chili chicken, six chicken nuggets, and a hamburger, and then end up with two hamburgers, and you're not happy.

There are always some problems with the order: they don't add enough meat, they give you the wrong burger, or they forget the napkins along with the straw.

Waited 20 minutes for a McFlurry with 3 pieces of Oreo and almost no sauce. The staff stood around doing nothing.

The speed of order processing and the staff's work ethic are far below par and not McDonald's standards. I would speak to the manager about this.

It's a nice place, but the service can sometimes be very slow, so make sure you have time when choosing this store.

This McDonald's provided truly excellent service! I accidentally spilled Coke on my food, and the manager named Ossama had it replaced. I wanted to pay for it, but the manager said it was theirs and he would bring it to me. This is what I consider excellent service, and it's how all McDonald's should be, and the same goes for McDonald's managers! I'll definitely be back! Highly recommended!

This McDonald's is terrible. It used to be much better. McDonald's is a fast-food chain. At this location, you can order "fast food" to go. The staff here are completely distraught. They don't even crack a smile. They shuffle behind the counter and in the kitchen while the orders keep piling up. The order that's (finally) ready is flicked onto the counter, a number is called, and they walk away. The customer then has to decide for themselves which order is theirs. Absolutely awful.

They took a very long time to bring the order. I waited for about 20 minutes for my order, despite the fact that the restaurant was almost empty.

It wasn't busy. But they still forget to give you half your order. And it's filthy.

The ordering kiosk is difficult to use. If there are people at the front, it's almost impossible to reach. It's fast, though.

The fries were fresh, and so was the McChicken. The restaurant downstairs was closed, so there wasn't much room for lunch. Both the hamburger and Big Mac we ordered didn't have onions, even though they were supposed to be. There was also some chili sauce on the Big Mac. The employees looked grumpy and didn't work very quickly. The manager was cheerful, though. Not enough staff for the busy schedule.

There was still half a salad on the table from the previous guests. It was quite tasty, but still, I hadn't ordered any salad, so I wouldn't have had to eat it.

This is the worst McDonald's in Groningen. Employees walk around like zombies, and everything moves along at a leisurely pace, no matter how long the line is...

Unfortunately, we found the tables dirty. The place looks like it's currently being remodeled or something similar, which makes the space look quite small. The service was superb, but it's a real bummer to see that most of the tables were dirty. We still enjoyed the food.

They work incredibly slowly here. Absolutely no work ethic. On a quiet Wednesday afternoon, they let it get to the point where there are 16 open orders, and everyone just shuffles around without any desire to speed up. Very lax.

The ground floor is closed. We entered and the trash can at the entrance was overflowing. The stairwell was covered with a blue tarp. Once we ordered, things moved quickly. There were full garbage bags at the cash register. Tables weren't cleaned (and there weren't many), so you were forced to sit at a dirty table. Customers put their trash next to the trash can because it was too full. Drinks spilled, and they were still there 20 minutes later. There were no staff around. As we were about to leave, a young woman (staff member) walked to the trash can. I offered to help her. She refused, very professionally, but she didn't immediately know where to put everything. It was a mess.

I'm truly incredibly disappointed and angry about how my order was handled. I understand it can be busy, but the complete lack of checking, and then having to discover at home that my entire order is incorrect, is utterly scandalous. My order was incomplete; it contained items I hadn't even ordered, and it was precisely the more expensive items that were missing or incorrect. For example, I ordered a large McWrap, but received a small one without lettuce or cucumber, even with a receipt that wasn't even for my order. My Quarter Pounder menu was incomplete, while only the cheap Euro burgers were delivered correctly. This is absolutely not how an order should be handled, and it's causing enormous frustration for the customer. Since I don't live nearby, I can't just go back and fix this. Therefore, I expect at least appropriate compensation for these serious errors. I received nothing worth my money. I paid extra, but I didn't get that back for my order.

Grim atmosphere. Unpleasant burgers. Incomplete and incorrect orders. Dirty floor. We're being filmed. The security guard is cleaning a tray while people are smoking inside and causing a disturbance. This is just not normal anymore.

Ordered food, didn't receive half the order, drinks spilled on the fries and burger so those were inedible too, they didn't deliver anything and now I have to wait for my money too... Hopeless company, never order from them again!

Hygiene wasn't really top, and the food was cold

You're still stuck to the ground outside after walking 200 meters. It's very dirty, and the tiles in the lower area are sloping.

Me and a friend waited an hour for our food, we ordered four things together and it took an extremely long time.

The kitchen staff works without gloves and touches their faces while handling food. This is very unsanitary! I won't be coming back. Hopefully, something will be done about this.

Honestly, this is the worst McDonald’s branch I’ve ever been to. Most of the staff seem extremely lazy, unprofessional, and even rude at times. The service is incredibly slow—I don’t understand how this can be called a “fast food” restaurant. It feels like you’re waiting forever for even the simplest order. Very disappointing experience.

Much of the menu was sold out, and we couldn't even order menus. We waited a very long time for our order. A man offered us a free sundae because we had to wait so long. The kitchen needs to work much faster. When we received our order, we didn't even get the sundae. The fries were soggy, and you had to pay for the restrooms as a customer. Worthless.

Nice shop in the pedestrian zone, with more seating downstairs. Very clean, the food was good, nothing special, but the staff was very quick and friendly. The interior design of the shop was also very appealing. Thumbs up! 👍

Quite loud but an average McDonald's

My food was delivered cold, delivered by Thuisbezorgd, I called Herestraat, I got a girl on the line, very uninterested and just hangs up! I find this so rude, girl has not learned any manners.

I really wanted a cookie so I went to get a cookie. I finally got the cookie and to my surprise and disappointment the cookie was harder than the feeling I had to punch one of those employees after getting a hard cookie I really wanted… Not cool Mcdonalds😔

Got a shakebag fries, not a shakebag. Twisted fries, all normal fries in it and just warm. Milkshake no straw. It was busy at that moment but this was just sad. Came back later, it was just a mess, there was trash everywhere just deeply sad

Do not order delivery from this mcdonalds. Do sontplein or westerhaven. This location always sends the wrong or missing items. Even in person they forgot a whole item, a big mac.

Fries were lukewarm, benches and tables were dirty, not to mention the floor. And that was not from 1 day. Order was wrong, paid for something I had not ordered. Employee had to get the manager to ask if the money that was wrongly paid could be returned. I will never come here again

Ordered Double Mac Tasty menu; but the burgers did not taste good and the bun was soggy. In short, it was anything but Tasty. Moreover, the scanner did not work after numerous attempts and I therefore also missed the points in the apo

Delicious food, received quickly

Early 2025 Time back I got burgers and they were half cold when I picked up my order, milkshake was 1 chunk of ice with all kinds of ice crystals in it. And also being too miserable not to add a straw and napkin(s). May 4, 2024 I ordered a burger and some chicken nuggets, the burger was stacked incorrectly and the pickle was missing. After this I suffered food poisoning. If you want food poisoning and mediocre service, you've come to the right place. It would be better to walk a little further to Sontplein or Westerhaven, at least you will have better service and food
