214,45 billion market cap company charging 70c for toilet for paying customers loool, you can’t make this up

It's ridiculous that if you order food for 6 people for about 80 to 100 euros, you also have to pay 80 cents to use the toilet.

The dirtiest and filthiest McDonald's we've ever been to. The seating area was already very dirty, but the restrooms were way worse than truly dirty rest stop restrooms. I don't even want to know what the kitchen was like.

An unfriendly young man stands at the bathroom door charging €0.70 to enter, even though you're drinking on site. There are no outlets to charge your cell phone.

Dear McDonald's! Quick and efficient service, but how hard can it be: a Happy Meal with a cheeseburger... When I get home, a Happy Meal with chicken nuggets. That's when our little Pietertje is a bit late.

Genuinely the worst of Dutch hospitality it should be a tourist attraction.

THE TOILET 70 CENTS ARE NOT REQUIRED, you shouldn't pay it.

Theres a sign outside the toilets asking for 0,70€ with an * saying "not required", but the toilet lady will yell at you if you do not pay her 70 cents. The staff doesn't seem to care about that. Multiple other guests were harrassed by her. Also there was a hair in my burger and the fries were cold.

Incredible, they charge 0.70 euro cents to go to the toilet, after having consumed, and the boy who guards the bathroom, looks at you and demands payment as if it were a normal thing. I have never seen anything like this in 30 years of travelling.

Worst experience at a McDonald's, ever, in 50 years.

We ordered, it took very long for the food to arrive, the fries were cold, the bun of my burger was upside down, everything was missing from the burger; no sauce, no salad, no cheese no nothing. We ordered three milkshakes but instead we god three water while we already had paid for three milkshakes, we were ordering near closing time so we suspect they just didn’t want to put in the effort to make us milkshakes anymore. Overall a very bad experience and I would never order from this location again.

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. A very rude employee stood at the entrance to the restroom demanding that everyone put money in his cup. When we received our order and sat down to eat it, he came up to us and rudely told us that we couldn't eat within the restaurant. When we pointed out that other customers were sitting there, he said that they're with children and could sit there. We went to eat outside by the entry, but later we saw that other customers without any children was eating inside. What was the point of all this? Such a humiliating experience!

Really amazing branch, some real Dutch food options, loved everything we ordered!! The McKroket was the star of the lunch!

Absolutely terrible experience. Even if you buy something here, you still have to pay €0.70 per person to use the restroom. There’s a person standing at the entrance just to collect the fee, which feels like a complete rip-off. This kind of policy is unacceptable for a global chain like McDonald’s. Definitely not coming back.

Needed to go to the toilet so went here. I thought it was strange that the gentleman came in while I was sitting there. When I was done he says "you didn't pull through". Not even true? I was sitting in the middle toilet so I mentioned that. Then he says "not at all, you didn't pull through, really strange". Was also English speaking. What do you mean you're going to tell me what I did or didn't do? He also saw me coming out of the toilet. Your employees lie a lot. Not worth €0.70.

Bad experience, not very clean place, water on the floors, few and unsuitable staff. Waited 20 minutes after ordering for a pack of kibble for my daughter, and if we hadn't noticed that they were ready and left under the salamander we would never have had them. We asked for them several times since they were abandoned, and in an annoyed way another person came to give them to us. In 40 minutes they managed to argue with almost all the customers present. A situation like this has never happened!

Even though I was eating at the establishment, there was a man in front of the toilets (looking terrible and wearing a McDonald's uniform) with a cup in his hand asking for €0.70 to use the toilets. At the end I asked for the receipt, and he started laughing in my face. I asked to speak to the manager, and he asked me why I couldn't have a receipt (since they had charged ridiculously). I said it was McDonald's policy, I had never seen a McDonald's do that and if they did it would certainly be a service that would be billed.

Small but nice fast food restaurant with the well-known McDonald's formula. Cross the street and you walk through the famous Albert Cuyp market.

i was waiting for about 5 minutes near the cashier to order and pay with cash, but no one would take my order. several employees looked at me standing there and kept ignoring me. only some time later one woman came up to me really unwillingly and finally took my order. food was mid, it didn't even smell like mcdonalds in there

There is a strange guy at the toilets with an aggressive attitude. And when you say that the toilets are dirty and want your money back, he gets angry and starts threatening. He also comes across as very intimidating to other customers and almost grabs the money from your wallet. I recommend sending this guy away immediately. He is a retarded guy

Paid toilets even for customers with the person at the entrance extremely aggressive and unpleasant. Despite having paid 1€ to enter the toilet (more than the required price), the guy came to attack my friend, saying that I had been in the toilet for too long (5 minutes in reality). Seriously who does this? You have to pay and what's more, you're on the clock? The guy was acting strange and having some sort of spasms, making one wonder if he was under the influence of something. Teach politeness and manners to your employees

Top place, always fresh burgers and perfectly cooked fries. A personal favorite is the chicken 20 with BBQ sauce, which is always served with a big smile and occasionally with an extra sauce. If you like good service, good food and a good atmosphere, Mac Donalds Ferdinand bol is the right place for you. 5 stars are not enough for the best Mac Donalds in Amsterdam, you get 10 stars from me!

McDonald's loses his face and begs like a beggar. No customer focus, just dollar signs in his eyes. Imagine they put on almost everything. For the first time in my life, they ask you to pay for a straw for Coke. They charge for the packaging of the product they sell you. The security guard runs after people and demands to pay 70 cents for the fact that you need to wash your hands before eating.

Busy but order was ready quickly

The McDonalds in Amsterdam tend to be located near the touristy areas. This particular branch is poorly maintained being dirty, cramped and the toilets require cash to enter. The staff are not too cheery either and the only saving grace is the food is your typical cheap fulfilling takeaway affair. Considering the location is surrounded by other eateries and with the market nearby it needs to do better.

This Mac is the most impersonal one I know, but they do have sweet controls

Oh no, hey dear sir, my friends and I always came here in the evening and liked to have a snack. The last two days we noticed that there were clearly not enough people and no one was cleaning the hall, the ice cream was not as tasty as before! And you get no help with checkout! Do something about it quickly!

I understand that I am in Amsterdam and that it is bursting with tourists, but the staff seems like tourists themselves! Received half order takes a long time and big mess in the restaurant!

The employee at the checkout is very polite but the employee standing in front of the toilet is very unfriendly and charges 50 cents per person per person. I asked him if I could go to the toilet first and later I gave him the money and he said :no, you should give the money first. According to my observation, this toilet man gets at least 120 euros per hour because at least 2 people go in there every minute. That's not fair for the employee at the checkout or even fair for everyone.

Our cup of hot water for a tea sat for 10 minutes until I asked for it to be passed to me. Toilet attendant was rude and paying for a toilet in McDonald’s is ridiculous anyway.

It was busy, cold, drizzly and it took at least an hour to get home. Ate two hambi's with a fresh coffee. I still feel satisfied about it. And the toilet attendant was very attentive to helping everyone. Still fun.

McDonald's Amsterdam is fine for a quick bite, but don't expect an exceptional experience. The food is as you would expect from a McDonald's: standard, sometimes a bit lukewarm, and the waiting time can vary. The location is convenient, but often crowded and messy. Sufficient for a quick snack, but nothing special.

Coming from the UK and wow this McDonalds is different level, food so good. More expensive than what you pay in the UK but for the quality of meal you get it’s 100% worth it! 🤤

If we compare with McDonald's in other countries, then in the Netherlands it clearly loses, there is a small selection of burgers, a lot of drinks, but there is so much ice that there is essentially nothing to drink there. On the plus side, it’s a very tasty sauce for potatoes.

So first off, the food when we ordered it from the machine, we didn't get the receipt because it said error and then it took ages to get the food and didn't even have napkins with our food aswell and couldn't find those anywhere. Place looked dirty and you had to pay extra FOR KETCHUP? What the hell?

The requirements for working here are to to be sad, not make eye contact or smile.

Customers who order food also need 0.50 euros to go to the toilet. Even if the sign says under 15 years old can use the toilet for free. When a 9-year-old child went to the toilet for the second time, he was asked: How many times already?
