I paid for my food at Burger King, but if I want to wash my hands, I have to pay again just to use the bathroom. Seriously? Charging customers for basic hygiene after you’ve already paid for a meal is beyond ridiculous. This is not just poor service—it’s insulting. A fast-food restaurant should provide clean restrooms as part of the dining experience, not treat them like an extra luxury. Absolutely unacceptable.

disappointing experience & definitely one of the worst bks in Amsterdam . The staff was rude , and the cashiers were not prepared or willing to answer basic questions ! The burger was below expectations. The burger patties were extremely dry !! completely lacking juiciness, and the bacon tasted noticeably not fresh ! On top of that, the floor was dirty and slippery, giving the impression of poor hygiene and lack of care. Overall, bad service, low food quality, and an unpleasant atmosphere. Definitely not a place I would return to !!

I've never seen a fast-food restaurant so filthy, from the floor to the toilets. The bins were overflowing, and the waste disposal areas were full of ice. I paid €1 for the toilet, which I definitely didn't pay, especially after seeing the deplorable state of the facilities. The person cleaning the floor was using a soaking wet mop; someone slipped on the stairs, and a girl nearly fell. I'd rather not know about the hygiene in the kitchen... Never again! Avoid this place!

We had to wait a very long time for our order. The food was lukewarm and the milkshake was too cold; it tasted like soft serve. Dirty tables, and we had to pay €1.00 to use the restroom. Absolutely disgusting. Dirty toilet, full trash can, and dirty sanitary towels on the floor. No soap to wash my hands. I asked an employee for soap, and they brought it. I had to speak to the employee in English and immediately asked him when the restrooms were cleaned. I got no response. I will never eat or pee here again. 😖

The Food tastes awfull and its so overpriced

I ordered food via the digital sign, all the numbers were displayed, and I had to ask where my food was even though some was already there, so it was getting cold. The hygiene is simply terrible; the tables are dirty, everything is sticky, and the trash cans are open. And then there's the restroom. I can't believe this chain is still open...just awful.

Charging for restroom visits is acceptable; otherwise, it becomes anarchy and a filthy mess. In return, I expect a bit more cleanliness. And: toilet paper. It should be available or accessible from the holder. The team leader has been informed.

Many areas for improvement. Somewhat chaotic. Even the restrooms and handwashing facilities are not free for customers. Very hectic. The food tasted as expected.

The food is the same as every other Burger King. What is very bad is service and atmosphere. You need to pay 1 euro for accessing the bathroom and they are far beyond disgusting. Very small, very dirty and no control with people doing whatever they want in that bathroom. No tissue available, no soap, really a bad experience. It’s a shame for a place located in the core of Amsterdam. As a plus, all the seats are very uncomfortable.

Terrible experience, went there to grab something to eat a while before they closed and had to wait in line forever, we were closed inside of the restaurant to that no more people could come in, the manager started arguing with the workers and with the clients, they took out tickets to “go faster” but ended up being more confusing because they didn’t know what was who’s. The food wasn’t even good. Worst thing was that we were like less than ten people and they still took over an hour to prepare the food. This was a few months ago so hopefully it has improved, wouldn’t go back.

EVERYTHING costs extra: - €1 deposit for drinks (and refund via IBAN ONLY for Europeans, it's clearly theft) - €1 to use the toilet even if you're a customer - They block off three-quarters of the dining area from 8 pm even though the restaurant closes at 11 pm, which is totally SHAMEFUL and outrageous. - They put your entire order in takeaway bags and you don't get a tray - Not to mention the €0.80 charge per sauce. If this is how they treat customers, they might as well close down.

Everything costs extra: €1 for drinks, €0.80 for sauces, €1 for the toilets (even for customers), no tray provided... And a huge part of the dining room is inaccessible from 8 pm... Quite frustrating.

Worst personnel ever. One of worst interactions I've ever had. After placing the order (and PAYING), the machine didn't print the receipt with the order number on it so I went and told them. When she asked me for the order number order I answered that I wasn't sure about it and she angrily made me recite the whole order item by item in front of everyone (it was a huge order for 3 people and I'm not a native english speaker). Whenever I got an item name wrong she would say "no this isn't your order, you're not going to eat". Truly humiliating.

We went to this Burger King for almost a month and had burgers, nothing to write home about. The meat was truly excellent, and the fries were too. The only downside is the slightly high price. The hotel's price is a bit above average for all European Burger Kings, and even for service, you have to pay €1 even if you show a receipt. In my humble opinion, this is absurd. In a restaurant where you spend €40 to €50, you also have to pay €1 to use the bathroom, not to mention wash your hands. I'm only giving it three stars for the food.

Unfortunately our experience was so negative, that we wouldn't want our worst enemy to go through it, due to how awful the service and atmosphere was. First off, the receipt where you would leave a feedback on the fast food restaurant, was instantly taken away by the cashier, we ordered for eatting in, only to be served with take away bags, (just to clarify this was at 10:00PM and restaurant closes at 11:00PM). We went to eat upstairs due to limited tables downstairs and after we sat down, we were asked by the crew member to change our place as he already cleaned the area. After we noticed that the chairs were stacked on the tables. We moved and while we were eating we realised that the same crew member was not letting the other customers throw away the rubbish in the bin, and pointed to them to throw it downstairs. Not to mention, that the same stuff members was on his phone, wearing headphones all this time and speaking to someone on a phone call. I've worked this job years ago in my country and I cna confirm this is creating a bad reputation and name to the company. If there was a visit of a mystery customer, this restaurant would have been closed off instantly. P.S. as stated in another review, unfortunately the crew member that we encountered upstairs is still not fired.

Easily the worst Burger King I have been to You can only select two languages at the terminal (dutch and english) while literally every other one I've been to had more, they made the option to remove certain things from your burger or whatever so confusing (instead of giving you both the option to remove and add extra stuff with increasing or decreasing the number like every other location, you have to add +1 to REMOVE one thing and no option for extras) They charge you extra to get a reusable cup and you have no other option, then they charge you extra to get a dip for your fries when normally you should get one free in other locations, ontop the fries weren't even salted or anything like that, they didn't give you any napkins to clean your mouth and all that, the cups didn't have any lids or straws, they filled the drink with ice which you probably might accidentally swallow when drinking because they don't give you a straw, then there is this guy who just lures you to a seat like its some sort of fancy restaurant and just wants to take away your plate when some of us stand up, then they also charge extra just to use the bathroom, the female bathroom literally has one stall that doesn't have a lock, and I almost got kicked out by a worker because I am apparently not a woman (so much for being inclusive and lgbt friendly in the Netherlands) and the burgers just tasted mid. I do not recommend this place at all from all the Burger Kings I have ever been to in Europe. Try searching for a other location or just don't eat BK in Amsterdam.

By far the worst Burger King I've ever been to. Above-average prices. They gave me drinks filled with ice when I didn't want ice. They told me I had to choose from the machine. There wasn't that option. They gave me one napkin for three meals and one tray. The staff were incredibly rude. Even the tax office would be nicer. After paying for the meal, you have to pay 1 euro for each glass. A rip-off. You have to pay for the bathroom! Absurd and unacceptable. In a place where you eat with your hands, there's no place to wash them? Never again!

Food is okay, but you can't customize the size of your menu, so you automatically get a "larfe" (large portion) for which you pay an extra 3 euros. If you order at the cash register, you have to pay cash, which nobody does. It's a classic scam. Other Burger Kings have this problem too. Just let people choose between "normal" and "large"!

Very good, although here in the Netherlands they are slower than in Spain, but you end up getting used to it.

Warning: They will try to make it impossible to return your cup, for which they make you pay 1 euro. You have to go back into line and ask people at the desk to scan the cup, in order to return it. This is how they earn extra money.

Food and staff are good took a very long time until my order came

The food wasn't great... It was cold, but otherwise okay. The staff was generally friendly. It was reasonably clean. One downside is that you have to pay for the restroom, even though you're already paying a lot for the food. There were a few outlets upstairs for charging your phone, which is handy. And you can enjoy the view outside through the large windows.

I’m vegetarian so I really appreciated the choice of having any burger modified to our likings (with the beyond-meat burger). I got the king Jr meal because I just wanted to try it. I received no box, no toy, not even the right order. I ordered a cheeseburger (veg version), I got it and it had the correct label, but to my surprise, it had no cheese. It was still pretty good, just not what I wanted. The staff was pretty rude, too. We were on vacation and didn’t know how the toilets work (if we need to pay for it or if we just need the receipt) and not only did she not explain the system to us, but she also looked at us as if we were stupid when we asked if we needed to pay for it. So we asked another girl there who told us it costs 1€ to go to the toilet, she was overall nice in comparison to the other girl.

This Burger King is terrible. Not only do they charge for bathroom breaks, but also when you order from the menu, even though it includes a drink, you have to pay €1 for a glass. I ate here with a friend and ordered loaded fries with bacon and cheese and a banana milkshake. First there was too little sauce and bacon on those fries so I went back and after a discussion I got more bacon and cheese sauce, now I'm really happy I'm going to sit back and I'm going to taste that milkshake and you guessed it vanilla milkshake while I had ordered a banana. I did get my banana milkshake afterwards, but this makes no sense!

Rude and disinterested girl working, gave us a broken glass, later we saw that she forgot to put a spoon for ice cream, she doesn't even know how to apologize. Average food, Twix ice cream is tasteless, it's mostly vanilla ice cream with a little sprinkle of biscuits, caramel and chocolate crumbs on top. Messy, sticky floors, they charge for the toilet even though you came to eat. Horrible, I don't recommend anyone to come here.

Waited a total of 45 minutes for 1 ice cream. After 15 minutes I asked why it was taking so long. "They are going down numbers from bottom to top" I waited another 15 minutes until my number was there. 10 orders later still no ice cream. I asked again and it turned out to be ready for 15 minutes completely melted. Had to wait another 15 minutes. After a total of 15 minutes I finally got a smartie ice cream with literally 7 smarties (I counted them)

I ordered two sandwich of cheeseburger meal for 5.45 euro and it was incredibly fresh, hot, and flavorful, the sauce was balanced and the grilled taste really stood out. However, the service was very slow; I waited over 20 minutes. Thankfully, the manager was extremely professional and helpful, he calmly handled complaints and even assisted me with the reusable cup refund. Great food, excellent management, but service speed needs improvement.
