I don't go often but I am always satisfied, fast service and friendly staff.

After so many years, Heerenveen Mac is still a terrible place to order something Something always goes wrong or the order is incorrect A new owner really needs to take over; this is worthless

Barely audible delivery girl. Long wait for order, parking lot too small and a huge mess there. Better to drive on to Steenwijk next time.

Just what you expect from a McDonald's. Only went to the McDrive. The entrance and especially the exit are positioned a bit awkwardly because they cross.

McDonald's was easy to get to. The food was exactly what I hope for at a McDonald's (unfortunately not quite up to what I usually expect); the fries and chili chicken were hot and crispy. It was busy but fortunately moved quickly. There was a stain on the toilet, but otherwise everything was fine.

I ordered a hamburger without pickles for my son, but we got one with pickles. We went through the drive-thru. It did take longer than we are used to at McDonald's, but I have to say, the relaxed attitude and friendly smile behind the counter did more than make up for it. Waiting a little while is no problem at all. The ice cream was ice cold, though. And the hamburger with pickles, well, that went down pretty well too 😂.

Got. A wrong order, fixed if after complaint

I placed an order at the drive-thru that included a Big Tasty. In the parking lot, I realized I had received a completely different burger, although it was packaged in a Big Tasty box. I reported this immediately at the drive-thru. A new one was made for me right away, and the girl at the second window asked if I wanted a McFlurry as compensation. What amazing service!! Staff to be proud of!

Here we have meetings with social drive.

If you go through the drive to avoid having to get out of your car, you yourself must hope to pick it up when it's done.

Back from vacation, half an order for the umpteenth time. Not 1, but just 2 burgers forgotten again, and this happens much more often. Count your order here, they won't do it for you.

My experience at the McDonald's in Heerenveen is unfortunately not always positive. While the store is clean and has a nice patio, I can't ignore the consistently incorrect orders. On several occasions, the sauce was missing, or my sister received sauce with her croquette despite requesting it without sauce. Furthermore, the fries were sometimes cold, which is very disappointing. This is a real shame, because the crowds, the quality of the service, and the food negatively impacted my visit. Therefore, I can only give this McDonald's location a one-star rating.

I recently picked up food at McDonald's in Heerenveen 4 times for work. Sometimes there's a slightly longer wait, but the food is really nice and hot; it hasn't been sitting in the display case for half an hour first. Good experience.

The food was fine, however they had some problems with the cooling and there was a large exhaust pipe hanging out of the window at the drive-in, blowing a lot of warm air (fries smell) into your car.....not really customer-friendly.

We picked up some stuff outside here with the car. The wrap wasn't really warm and the McFlurry was poorly filled. The staff also seemed grumpy.

Good service, easy and quick. The food always tastes great too!

Update June 27: ordered a double cheeseburger again where the packaging was correct but the contents weren't. Next time I'll just lick it, then I'll know for sure it's good. I'll keep you posted. Update June 2: small fries again with every large value menu, no sauces with any menu we ordered. But luckily we did pay for it. Sooooo, still check your order before you leave the premises. I got home with the order, forgot to check at the counter, and I'm missing a separate hamburger again. Always such a shame...

Terrible genetically modified food!

I waited for more than 30 minutes for a cheeseburger and two croissants only. After that long time of waiting, they tell me they do NOT have croissants after I already ordered. In the end I waited 30+ minutes for a cheeseburger only and it tasted weird as well.

I had just finished my early morning shift and needed to head to Heerenveen for an errand. Honestly, the only thing I could think about on the way was how hungry I was. That kind of hunger where you can’t focus on anything else. So when I spotted McDonald’s, the choice was pretty much made for me. What I needed was simple: fast service, an easy choice, and a breakfast that matched my cravings. And that’s exactly what I got. The staff were quick and efficient, which I really appreciated after a long morning. My breakfast was ready in no time, and it tasted just the way I hoped—comforting, warm, and satisfying. It turned into the perfect little stop: a moment to rest, recharge, and enjoy something tasty before continuing my day. In that moment, this McDonald’s felt like a small but much‑needed break in the middle of a busy morning. A reliable place to pause, breathe, and get my energy back.

It's just the American formula. With fries, you can only get mayo or ketchup. Peanut sauce should be available in the Netherlands too. Or, for example, special sauce.

Terrible! Waited 20 - 30 minutes for my food, and then all my cola spilled all over the order and the table.

I was at McDonald’s recently, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. I ordered a Big Tasty menu, but the burger was ice-cold on the inside and even seemed frozen. The bun was hard and not at all tasty to eat. The service also gave a disorganized and uninterested impression. The staff did not seem to work well together and exuded little professionalism. As a result, the entire experience only got worse. What makes it even more unfortunate is that the McDonald’s branch in Joure shows that it can be done right: hot food, fast service, and friendly staff. I would easily give that a 10. Unfortunately, Heerenveen scores no higher than a 3 for me at the moment.

Bad Wi-Fi meant we couldn't use the app. The staff wasn't helpful about this either, so we ended up paying way too much! Not everyone has internet when you visit the Netherlands.

I ordered a McFlurry and it was just melted, not the first time this has happened, so no ice, just melted ice.

This location doesn't quite understand the term fast food. Often, you have to wait 15 to 20 minutes at the McDonald's drive-thru even when it's not busy. Then you look inside a little later and there's no one there either. Orders are often incomplete. You're better off driving to the Joure location.

The food was served quickly and it was also reasonably clean, which unfortunately is not always the case in many branches.

Great experience at McDonald's in Heerenveen. ✅ There's ample parking 🚙 and I also found the drive-thru well-organized. We had to wait a bit because our order wasn't ready yet ⏳, but that was actually quite pleasant: there's a spacious and clear area to wait 👀, you have a good overview, and you can actually see the staff coming towards the serving area. What I personally really appreciated: you're on the other side of the window 🪟 from the staff member, and especially in the evening 🌙 (or if you're alone), that gives you a safer feeling 🔒. The service was also good 👍: the woman who took my order was friendly 😊, spoke clearly 🔊, and pleasantly asked if I wanted anything else. That makes it a bit more human than "just a quick order." The food was inconsistent 🍔➡️😕. The chicken nuggets 🍗 were a bit less appealing to me: it seemed like the layer was thinner and therefore less crispy. I had this a few days earlier in Lelystad, so either it's a coincidence 🎲, or it's something that's changed nationwide. If these are truly the "new" nuggets, that's a shame—I probably wouldn't order them again anytime soon. Handy tip for newcomers (especially at drive-thru) 📲🚘: if you want to use deals/coupons from the app, scan them ahead of time. When I visited, you had to do this at the ordering station (before you get to the first window). It wasn't possible at the first window then (maybe it is again now), but when it's busy 🚗🚗 and there's a car right behind you, it's inconvenient if you only notice it then. So: open the app and scan beforehand ✅📱. All in all: good location, safe and well-organized, friendly service 👌 — only the nuggets were a downside for me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Great place for a quick bite, easily accessible from the highway. It's also used as a carpool spot, but there's usually plenty of space, except when SC Heerenveen is playing, so parking isn't easy.

Staff needed training. There was no communication or assistance between staff, making even taking simple orders very difficult.

The play area isn't very interesting for children; they quickly got bored of it. There is an outdoor patio, but every time we've been there, it seems closed or inaccessible—a waste of space. Please make it a proper extra seating area. 🍟 Order: Big Church Hamburger menu The main issue: I ordered the Big Church Hamburger menu (the most expensive/largest menu). • Problem: extremely few fries—the bag was half empty. • I went back to the counter, explained it politely, and received new fries… half empty again. • See the photos. It's embarrassing… When you pay almost €20 for a menu (large Coke + large fries), you expect consistent portions. Even after reporting the issue, receiving a half-full bag again feels really unfriendly to the customer. Something needs to be done about this. ✅ What can be improved The staff remained polite and visibly worked hard during the busy period. I appreciate that. But portion control and seating capacity should be a priority. 💡 My tip for McDonald's Heerenveen 1. Open up the terrace and use it as additional seating. 2. I went through the drive-thru, so I can't say much about the atmosphere. They were friendly and the food was nice and hot, so that's already great.

Went through the McDrive for the Big Arch. Very tasty, the fries were good too. Fast service, parking lot wasn't very inviting.

The entrance was hard to find. The food wasn't warm, and unfortunately, the sauces were still in bags, not containers. I also didn't receive a deposit cup, which I had paid for.

Dog friendly McDonald's with hot food and modern interior and a nice terrasse for sitting outside. Opposite is a super fast charging point for your EV.

No more veggie nuggets. Shame on McDonald's!! The staff was really nice, though. I'll go to Burger King from now on, where all the burgers and other things are veggie.

Waited over fifteen minutes for three cappuccinos; there were only two other people in the restaurant, and there were a lot of staff milling around. The women's restroom was broken, and the key to the accessible one was missing. So, I went to the men's restroom, which had a pungent urine odor and many disgusting feces and urine stains. There was no toilet paper. There was also no soap. What a horrible place!

I've never had a worse frappé for almost €5. Crushed ice, cream, and a bit of sauce. Disgusting.

I ordered a MacFlury, and it was only about half full, while you normally get a lot of flour. Not good for the €3.95. Then my friend ordered a MacFlury that had a lot more in it, so I was done with it and spoke to the manager, who tried to get out of it with a lame excuse, but it didn't work, which is why I'm writing this bad review.

We only parked here, the lot is humongous so there's always space.

I don't get angry easily, but this really takes the cake. I went to the location in Heerenveen. However, when I got home, I discovered it was the wrong order. And that wasn't the worst of it; it turned out they'd already eaten it, how disgusting it was. I'm really pissed off.

Great McDonald's. Very fast and excellent service. We were addressed as sir and madam. The restaurant was very clean. Also nice. The atmosphere is McDonald's style.

It was very busy, but ten minutes after ordering, the food was already there. The staff was friendly and quick, so I'm in for a treat. Really great Mac Hereveen.

Many kids and football fans, not exactly a 'family' place. Despite a couple mistakes with the servings the food was very good. Cleanliness okay. Definitely space to improve.

Only reviewed regarding ice cream: I tried twice this week to please someone—myself included—with ice cream. None of the different variations were appealing. It's not what it used to be, according to the ice cream eaters. We'll look elsewhere next time.

I only got 8 chicken nuggets in my order of a chicken 9 + 1… learn to read man, it says + 1 not - 1.

Often in the mornings, there are far too few staff, resulting in long wait times. (For the fifth time today) 9 minutes between ordering and receiving.

The food was good, the wait times were short, there were plenty of seats and finally a McDonalds that had a milkshake again.

Orders are often wrong. And when you're hungry, that doesn't help 🙈😅 There are also often those annoying girls. I see that happening too often around me, and it's a shame.

For a quick bite, what you'd expect from McDonald's: fast, warm, and friendly. The restrooms were clean, and I didn't arrive at a busy time, so the tables were well-maintained. I sat outside on the patio, where someone was busy, and they were also friendly when we asked for something. I'm not a huge McDonald's fan myself, but if you do go, you do want a good experience.

They use a light system here. You drive through the McDrive, then park your car and get out to pick up your order yourself when light 1, 2, or 3 comes on. I thought it was terrible.

Customer is king, not at this branch! Lady in a blue suit even thought that she was better than her fellow colleague due to experience (yes, everyone you work with is a fellow girl, learned something new 😉) Red fruit soda is suddenly not a soda, strange, my mc menu and regular menu clearly state that it is a soft drink.. and not pure because there is no carbon dioxide in it. Acting arrogant and not letting the customer finish sentences, very rude, asked her for her name, she didn't want to give it, neither did my fellow colleague in blue. Because before we received our order, she had already been nagging other colleagues about me because she didn't get her way. So here's an official complaint on the way. Well maccie, this is good for your company, chapeau 👌
