McDonald's in Amstel III/Bullewijk

We went to a concert and thought we could grab a quick bite at McDonald’s. We waited for more than 1.5 hours. We spoke to four employees who did absolutely nothing about it. A little later we spoke to the manager; he said it would be right over. Then we waited another 20 minutes. We went to another manager and eventually something was done about it. After waiting for more than 1.5 hours, we received our order and it turned out we still didn't have enough food (it involved two fries and two soft drinks).

I had to wait 1.5 hours for just 2 soft drinks and 2 fries. We spoke to 4 employees, but nobody did anything about it.

disgusting how the manager treated me. I was 2nd (and the last person) in line for 10 minutes. I waited for someone to show up at the counter to take my order. Then the manager came and took the order of the people in front of me and told me that the register is closed and that I should order via drive through (because of the bruno mars concert). It would have taken him no extra effort to take my order, but he claimed that the desk did not work after 00:00. I was there well before that… Then I had to wait in line for an hour’s extra because of the drive through waiting line

Old, tough fries, and a McKroket to match. Don't need to go to McDonald's for another year.

I ordered coke zero without ice, I got normal with ice, when I wanted to say that I didn’t want ice, worker in drive through just closed window and left.

The food is what you can expect from McDonald's, but this is definitely the best: really fast and always freshly made.

According to the manager, no one knew who made the sandwich Also, the fish sandwich was stale and tasted like rubber We left immediately McDonald's didn't even take any action. Really impressed with this McDonald's. Ordered on screen for table service and it was in front of me within 5 minutes.

For the Drive Through only: last 5 times they have given out the wrong order. Missing items, items swapped. Drinks were always ok, but missing the burger entirely or the nuggets? Last 2 times the food was cold, like room temperature cold, including the fries. I mean come on, you can just reheat the fries at least, I dont need the soggy cold fries. The people are nice though, but I believe this to be a manager problem. I have been going here for years, but last month has been atrocious.

It was tastier than the McDonald's in Turkey, the interior was spacious and a nice branch, I recommend it, they also have drive-thru service.

We arrived very late, after 11 PM, but the place was open. We ordered and received our order quickly. Everything was perfect.

Placed two simple orders with table service and sat down outside with the numbered cones clearly visible. Outdoor tables were dirty and sticky. One order was brought to us with a very nonchalant attitude of the worked, and the other order with a McFlurry was simply left on the counter to smelt. When I went inside and asked the McFlurry to be remade, the same worker eyerolled me and poured a tiny bit of ice cream on top of the already smelted McFlurry and presented it to me as new.

We got a Coke instead of a milkshake. So we very politely went to ask if we could have the milkshake we ordered. The manager was called over. Such a nasty mood and slow. Really so annoying. And you pay 32 euros for that. Really bad service. The fries were cold immediately after asking.

Increasingly smaller portions for more money. Rude and uninterested staff. Increasingly difficult to explain things since English is the new lingua franca. Cleaning is clearly too much to ask as well.

They are showing no respect today and the score is 0.

This restaurant is incredibly bad. If I were McDonald's, I would just shut this restaurant down.

This McDonald's has an above-average rating in Amsterdam. I can't imagine what's going on at the other ones. They're incredibly slow, so slow!! Ordering one burger and a drink takes 12 minutes!! And that's when there are practically no people there. The place is dirty, no one is keeping an eye on it, and no one takes out the trash. The food wasn't very good, so I didn't want to finish it. Sometimes the line for the drive-thru seems long esp on friday and saturday night but it usually goes super quick like 10-15 minutes tops so that’s great

Waited a very long time before it was served. The service was complete chaos.

Tasty, but you wait a very long time for your order.

On Friday evening around 9:00 PM, we had to wait about half an hour in the McDrive before receiving our order. Unfortunately, the quality of both the service and the food turned out to be far below expectations. Upon receipt, the food was already cold. Additionally, we encountered several hygiene shortcomings: small insects were flying out of the packaging, and in the parking lot, mice were visibly running around the trash cans, along vehicles, and even over car hoods. This created a very unhygienic and unpleasant impression. Furthermore, the sauce proportions on the burgers were completely inconsistent. One burger contained an excessive amount of sauce, while another contained virtually no sauce at all. Moreover, upon opening a McChicken, the sauce squirted directly out of the packaging. The accompanying sauce packets were also partially opened, causing sauce to spread throughout the entire package. Once again, we did not receive any napkins. Given the long wait time, the poor quality of the food, and the worrying hygiene conditions, we are unfortunately unable to recommend this establishment.

At home, I discovered that my Big Mac had no burgers. Hence, my dinner is here. I sincerely hope something is done about this, as this seems unacceptable to me....

Truly a top-notch restaurant; I certainly wouldn't give it less than 5 Michelin stars. Fantastic presentation, extremely dedicated staff, and top-quality breadcrumbs.

You can get gluten-free burgers here. However, you have to ask directly at the counter. The employee said it wouldn't be a problem, and the service was quick.

The fries were cold, I spent my money here for nothing while I could get fresh fries somewhere else.

Filet-O-fish is already a weak start; the tartar sauce used to make it bearable, but in vain. Just as the Nokia has become an iPhone and the paper ticket has long since been replaced by the public transport chip card, the tartar sauce is now worth nothing. Fortunately, the food was served quickly, the toilets were clean, and there was ample parking. So, all in all, 3 stars.

A good review because we were allowed to eat our food inside after midnight after all. We were inside by 11:48 PM, after all, but we took a bit long with the order... placed the order online around 4 AM.

The food was there within 2 minutes, super hot. Definitely the best McDonald's I've ever had.

Very busy McDonalds, food came super fast, everything was fine.

We placed an order before going to a theater show, but then had to wait 50 minutes for our food. We only received our order when we asked for a refund (which, of course, turned out to be there). Something was clearly wrong, because there were at least 20 people at the counter, and 10 orders were incomplete, and some were even returned. It was a complete mess, and the woman behind the counter laughed at us and shouted, "**, omg, what's going on!" when we told her it wasn't supposed to happen. But they said it was absolutely not their fault.

Shame! There's no other word to describe how antisocial the service is. Apparently, they couldn't handle the crowd because of a concert. There was also no communication, no interest, and no energy from the staff. Everything was taken at a leisurely pace, and if you asked for an update, you were scolded. Terrible. We left after waiting 40 minutes for nothing and were refused a refund. We'd had enough. See you never again.

I placed an order around 6:45 PM and only sat down at a table a good 35 minutes later to stuff it down because I had to be at the Ziggo Dome that evening. Others were waiting for over 45 minutes, and only when I angrily opened my mouth and demanded a refund were they willing to help me more quickly. On top of that, your food was cold because it was piled high. It's a shame, and I have a tip: check out the branch in Waalwijk, where they manage to accommodate thousands of Efteling visitors every day in a short period of time.

We ordered food but had to wait 45 minutes to pick it up ourselves. We asked four times if it was indeed our order, which it turned out wasn't. We received too little food compared to what we paid for: cold fries, chicken nuggets, and drinks that we also hadn't ordered. The staff was unwilling to help us.

It was busy, and the way it was handled was absolutely terrible. They lost our order and only brought the wrong one after more than 45 minutes, and then had no time to help us further.

I came in here and it was incredibly quiet, but I still had to wait 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Once I was done, I wanted to empty my tray in the trash can, as all the trash cans were overflowing. So I put my tray at the takeaway counter, and an employee shouted, "Hey, hey, hey! Hey, bro, can't you just empty that tray in the trash can?" I politely explained, and then I got a big smack back.

They forgot my dad's chicken nuggets at the McDonald's. We came back from vacation hungry, and this poor guy didn't have his chicken nuggets. We only saw it on the highway. We paid for it, though. Disgraceful.

Wrong things with the order, toilets not clean and no soap in the dispenser... Well, what can I say?

Received the completely wrong order today through Thuisbezorgd. It was someone else's order. It was delivered by a foreigner who didn't speak Dutch and was carrying an Uber Eats bag. I've already submitted a refund request to Thuisbezorgd, but you can't reach them by phone.

Service was so slow that the mcflurrie was warmer than the fries when it arrived at the table.

It was a busy evening due to a concert, but the atmosphere was good. And the staff who brought the order and collected empty trays were very friendly. The burgers were delicious and nice and hot. Only the fries were a bit cooled down.

The floor is very greasy so be careful. The playground for the kids is just super dirty like never been deep cleaned. Toilet is alright, food is not hot slightly warm. This goss well for kids (nuggets esp). Apple pie is always scalding hot inside no matter where you get them so I am fine with that just a reminder/ also stated on the box anyway. Pair the scalding hot pie with ice cream 😉

It's often busy here at the drive-thru. Wait time is always a factor.

It was drive-through only, easy to order. Don’t expect to get more than two packets of ketchup, though that was a little bit crazy.

The food was really delicious, but the atmosphere... the music was WAY too loud, and we suddenly had to wait almost a quarter of an hour for our fries... not the end of the world, but not impressive either. All in all, just okay.

A great place to work or have a rest. I was waiting for an appointment and worked there having breakfast at the same time.

My teenage dream came true because they finally had a veggie happy meal. They even put in a chicken burger, which I only realized after I ate it. 🤢 I didn't even complain or ask for a veggie burger; my appetite was ruined, and my stomach was still upset. A waste of 20 euros.

Strange people behind the counter, order completely wrong and lukewarm

Man I love trying McDonald's abroad. Just so much more variety and quality than the US. We got the McChicken Wings, Mckroket, the Stroopwafel Mcflurry, and a bunch of sauces. Everything arrived nice and hot and it was a great nightcap. 10/10!

There's a reason we (friends and I) call this McDonald's a 5-star McDonald's. The service is always friendly and fast. Plus, the fries are always hot and the McKroketten is always a real treat. We'll drive a long way for this McDonald's.

Don't order food here! A friend and I ordered food here. We initially had to wait 25 minutes, then our food was ready and just sat there on the counter while the coffee still needed to be made. We finally received our order, but it was cold and we had spicy chicken nuggets instead of regular chicken nuggets.

Worst McDonalds I have ever visited in my life, in the world. What a disaster. Employees could at least be polite, but that’s not even the case.

McDonald's, why is the fish fillet sandwich always so lopsided? And why does the staff claim it's fresh when you can clearly tell it's being kept warm because the fish gets tough? It's only fresh if you eat in. But if you go through the drive-thru, you always get tough stuff.

Less organized than other outlets in the city

The first time that I have seen such a neat and clean McD. The staff also seemed calm and happy, a rare sight in other McD. The manager lady (I visited at 21:30, September 2025) seemed to be good with her employees as well. Very nice experience, must say.

You simply ask for lukewarm/warm water for the baby's bottle. Then you get ice-cold water in return. When you tell them you need lukewarm/warm water, they get difficult and say they don't have lukewarm water, only cold or hot. So we asked for hot water and cooled it down ourselves with water from the toilet tap. How hard is it to get lukewarm water?

Great Maccie. The tables weren't completely clean. When the food was delivered, something was forgotten, but it was promptly brought back.

My husband and children waited an hour and 20 minutes for their order, and still nothing arrived. He had to ask three times for a refund. The staff's response was indifferent and downright unprofessional. He finally got his money back because another customer got angry. The manager was only busy feeling sorry for himself because he had to work unexpectedly that evening. It was also filthy! No apology or compensation. A family night out was ruined. We won't be coming here again.

Only went through the drive-thru. The staff there could be a bit friendlier. The woman there was downright rude. We can't help it that there's another car with a loud exhaust. A better sound system and staff training are needed. Either way, customer satisfaction will improve.

Waited 40 minutes for a McFlurry. I asked for it, and it turns out I had to ask to get it, otherwise the ice cream would melt.

I've never eaten as badly as at this McDonald's. Everything was cold, including the burgers, nuggets, etc. I've been to the McDonald's drive-through and eaten in the parking lot, and everything was cold. Without my money or my appetite, I advise everyone against eating here. It's terrible.

Incredibly bad. Arrived at 3:40 a.m., in the drive-through. Left at 3:59 a.m. without even speaking to a single employee. During that time, about 20 cars had gathered in and around the drive-through, and no one was able to take an order. When the driver of the car in front of us finally decided to give up, we followed. We regretted taking the detour for this branch, as the employees were just standing in a group in the kitchen, chatting and laughing.

Three people checked my order, yet two items were still missing. Unfortunately, I only discovered this once I got home.

In the evening, there are people going around asking for two euros, and that brings relaxation. I paid for a Big Mic menu with discounts, €8 and a bit more, and Big Mic added. I paid €20 and got €2.55 back. That doesn't seem logical to me.

In Google says open 24h24, went for a early breakfast but was closed! Don't waste people's time. Either correct the opening times, or tell the employee to keep the doors open!

Today, August 6, 2025, I bought a fish-o-fillet sandwich... When I got home, I wanted to eat it, but to my utter amazement, I saw white/brown hairs in the sandwich😡🤬...I immediately threw it away. Apparently, they don't handle it properly when it comes to hygiene. I don't know what kind of bacteria gets into it, and whether these staff even wash their hands or cover their heads to prevent hair from getting on the product. Very unprofessional and disgraceful. Shame on you😡👎 Bad business!!
