McDonald's in Amstel III/Bullewijk

The food was there within 2 minutes, super hot. Definitely the best McDonald's I've ever had.

Very busy McDonalds, food came super fast, everything was fine.

We placed an order before going to a theater show, but then had to wait 50 minutes for our food. We only received our order when we asked for a refund (which, of course, turned out to be there). Something was clearly wrong, because there were at least 20 people at the counter, and 10 orders were incomplete, and some were even returned. It was a complete mess, and the woman behind the counter laughed at us and shouted, "**, omg, what's going on!" when we told her it wasn't supposed to happen. But they said it was absolutely not their fault.

Shame! There's no other word to describe how antisocial the service is. Apparently, they couldn't handle the crowd because of a concert. There was also no communication, no interest, and no energy from the staff. Everything was taken at a leisurely pace, and if you asked for an update, you were scolded. Terrible. We left after waiting 40 minutes for nothing and were refused a refund. We'd had enough. See you never again.

I placed an order around 6:45 PM and only sat down at a table a good 35 minutes later to stuff it down because I had to be at the Ziggo Dome that evening. Others were waiting for over 45 minutes, and only when I angrily opened my mouth and demanded a refund were they willing to help me more quickly. On top of that, your food was cold because it was piled high. It's a shame, and I have a tip: check out the branch in Waalwijk, where they manage to accommodate thousands of Efteling visitors every day in a short period of time.

We ordered food but had to wait 45 minutes to pick it up ourselves. We asked four times if it was indeed our order, which it turned out wasn't. We received too little food compared to what we paid for: cold fries, chicken nuggets, and drinks that we also hadn't ordered. The staff was unwilling to help us.

It was busy, and the way it was handled was absolutely terrible. They lost our order and only brought the wrong one after more than 45 minutes, and then had no time to help us further.

I came in here and it was incredibly quiet, but I still had to wait 20 minutes for the food to arrive. Once I was done, I wanted to empty my tray in the trash can, as all the trash cans were overflowing. So I put my tray at the takeaway counter, and an employee shouted, "Hey, hey, hey! Hey, bro, can't you just empty that tray in the trash can?" I politely explained, and then I got a big smack back.

They forgot my dad's chicken nuggets at the McDonald's. We came back from vacation hungry, and this poor guy didn't have his chicken nuggets. We only saw it on the highway. We paid for it, though. Disgraceful.

Wrong things with the order, toilets not clean and no soap in the dispenser... Well, what can I say?

Received the completely wrong order today through Thuisbezorgd. It was someone else's order. It was delivered by a foreigner who didn't speak Dutch and was carrying an Uber Eats bag. I've already submitted a refund request to Thuisbezorgd, but you can't reach them by phone.

Service was so slow that the mcflurrie was warmer than the fries when it arrived at the table.

It was a busy evening due to a concert, but the atmosphere was good. And the staff who brought the order and collected empty trays were very friendly. The burgers were delicious and nice and hot. Only the fries were a bit cooled down.

The floor is very greasy so be careful. The playground for the kids is just super dirty like never been deep cleaned. Toilet is alright, food is not hot slightly warm. This goss well for kids (nuggets esp). Apple pie is always scalding hot inside no matter where you get them so I am fine with that just a reminder/ also stated on the box anyway. Pair the scalding hot pie with ice cream 😉

It's often busy here at the drive-thru. Wait time is always a factor.

It was drive-through only, easy to order. Don’t expect to get more than two packets of ketchup, though that was a little bit crazy.

The food was really delicious, but the atmosphere... the music was WAY too loud, and we suddenly had to wait almost a quarter of an hour for our fries... not the end of the world, but not impressive either. All in all, just okay.

A great place to work or have a rest. I was waiting for an appointment and worked there having breakfast at the same time.

My teenage dream came true because they finally had a veggie happy meal. They even put in a chicken burger, which I only realized after I ate it. 🤢 I didn't even complain or ask for a veggie burger; my appetite was ruined, and my stomach was still upset. A waste of 20 euros.

Good McDonald's. Delicious food, warm and friendly staff. A lot of nuisance, though, from homeless people in the parking lot who approach everyone for deposits and money.

Strange people behind the counter, order completely wrong and lukewarm

Man I love trying McDonald's abroad. Just so much more variety and quality than the US. We got the McChicken Wings, Mckroket, the Stroopwafel Mcflurry, and a bunch of sauces. Everything arrived nice and hot and it was a great nightcap. 10/10!

There's a reason we (friends and I) call this McDonald's a 5-star McDonald's. The service is always friendly and fast. Plus, the fries are always hot and the McKroketten is always a real treat. We'll drive a long way for this McDonald's.

Don't order food here! A friend and I ordered food here. We initially had to wait 25 minutes, then our food was ready and just sat there on the counter while the coffee still needed to be made. We finally received our order, but it was cold and we had spicy chicken nuggets instead of regular chicken nuggets.

Worst McDonalds I have ever visited in my life, in the world. What a disaster. Employees could at least be polite, but that’s not even the case.

There was no atmosphere and it was dirty. Staff walked around irritated and struggling to help.

McDonald's, why is the fish fillet sandwich always so lopsided? And why does the staff claim it's fresh when you can clearly tell it's being kept warm because the fish gets tough? It's only fresh if you eat in. But if you go through the drive-thru, you always get tough stuff.

Less organized than other outlets in the city

The first time that I have seen such a neat and clean McD. The staff also seemed calm and happy, a rare sight in other McD. The manager lady (I visited at 21:30, September 2025) seemed to be good with her employees as well. Very nice experience, must say.

You simply ask for lukewarm/warm water for the baby's bottle. Then you get ice-cold water in return. When you tell them you need lukewarm/warm water, they get difficult and say they don't have lukewarm water, only cold or hot. So we asked for hot water and cooled it down ourselves with water from the toilet tap. How hard is it to get lukewarm water?

Great Maccie. The tables weren't completely clean. When the food was delivered, something was forgotten, but it was promptly brought back.

My husband and children waited an hour and 20 minutes for their order, and still nothing arrived. He had to ask three times for a refund. The staff's response was indifferent and downright unprofessional. He finally got his money back because another customer got angry. The manager was only busy feeling sorry for himself because he had to work unexpectedly that evening. It was also filthy! No apology or compensation. A family night out was ruined. We won't be coming here again.

Only went through the drive-thru. The staff there could be a bit friendlier. The woman there was downright rude. We can't help it that there's another car with a loud exhaust. A better sound system and staff training are needed. Either way, customer satisfaction will improve.

Waited 40 minutes for a McFlurry. I asked for it, and it turns out I had to ask to get it, otherwise the ice cream would melt.

I've never eaten as badly as at this McDonald's. Everything was cold, including the burgers, nuggets, etc. I've been to the McDonald's drive-through and eaten in the parking lot, and everything was cold. Without my money or my appetite, I advise everyone against eating here. It's terrible.

Quickly helped by friendly employees

Incredibly bad. Arrived at 3:40 a.m., in the drive-through. Left at 3:59 a.m. without even speaking to a single employee. During that time, about 20 cars had gathered in and around the drive-through, and no one was able to take an order. When the driver of the car in front of us finally decided to give up, we followed. We regretted taking the detour for this branch, as the employees were just standing in a group in the kitchen, chatting and laughing.

Three people checked my order, yet two items were still missing. Unfortunately, I only discovered this once I got home.

In the evening, there are people going around asking for two euros, and that brings relaxation. I paid for a Big Mic menu with discounts, €8 and a bit more, and Big Mic added. I paid €20 and got €2.55 back. That doesn't seem logical to me.

In Google says open 24h24, went for a early breakfast but was closed! Don't waste people's time. Either correct the opening times, or tell the employee to keep the doors open!

Today, August 6, 2025, I bought a fish-o-fillet sandwich... When I got home, I wanted to eat it, but to my utter amazement, I saw white/brown hairs in the sandwich😡🤬...I immediately threw it away. Apparently, they don't handle it properly when it comes to hygiene. I don't know what kind of bacteria gets into it, and whether these staff even wash their hands or cover their heads to prevent hair from getting on the product. Very unprofessional and disgraceful. Shame on you😡👎 Bad business!!

clean, friendly, fast and tasty for Mecces standards

I wouldn’t go here unless you’re a fan of rats and mice. I was planning to order something, but then we saw mice everywhere. The place looked dirty and disgusting. We left right away.

The very first Mc-Drive in the Netherlands. Also one of the most heavily used locations.

You don't think McDonald's can be that bad until you get to the McDonald's at amstel. You don't expect much but this one really disappoints in quality

The best McDonald's branch in the Netherlands

The food was cold and incorrect. It was resolved, but my appetite was gone.

This McDonald's location is one of the oldest in Amsterdam. They're experimenting with new concepts here. The food is what you'd expect from McDonald's. Free parking and good facilities for children are also available.

It's been a long time since I'd eaten at McDonald's again. Every now and then you have to do that to remind yourself why you rarely go there. I paid a fortune for truly disgusting food. I don't understand how this chain still attracts people. I'd rather have a regular chip shop—cheaper and much tastier.

Truly the worst McDonald's experience I've ever had. The parking lot is littered with a quantity of trash that would make a landfill jealous. In the McDrive, homeless people and other shady characters crisscross you while you wait. The food I received was also completely different from what I ordered. A cheeseburger with the wrong ingredients and spicy nuggets instead of regular ones. I'll definitely skip this location next time.

We could immediately order at the selfservice and the food was brought to our table on the patio. Everything was almost correct except we got the wrong cookies but the mistake was quickly corrected. The outside patio is well maintained and offers an ok view of parking area and gas station and some green. You have to watch out a bit for birds who want to have food, they are a bit aggressive. My son liked the playgrounds at this mcdonalds location.

Yes, it's just a good McDonald's. When I was there, it wasn't clean, and the restrooms were absolutely disgusting. Otherwise, the food was fine, and there's also a gluten-free option, which can be very helpful. Everything else is fine, but as a tip for McDonald's: please keep the restrooms a bit cleaner! (:

Cold fries, hamburger and long wait!

The food was really hot when we got it, very nice.

We ate there last night before going to the Imagine Dragons concert. After 50 minutes and three times asking where our order was, it was finally prepared by a manager (?). The ice cream also took an hour. How awful! We weren't the only ones... there were tons of complaints, and all the customers at the counter were telling the same story. Then, today, all three of us have the same stomach problems. We won't be eating there again. Disgusting and unfriendly staff. The staff avoids all eye contact when you're at the counter.

After placing the order, I waited 20 minutes ... I went to the cashier and they didn't have my order (it wasn't displayed on the screen) and they started preparing it directly from my receipt. In total, from payment to receiving the order, I waited 44 minutes. There was no choice, because I paid. And there was no time to go anywhere else....

Ordered through Uber Eats. Order was halfway complete. When I tried to call back, no one answered. After 45 minutes of calling, I was done with it. Worthless!!

Can't say anything about the interior because I've only used the drive-by so far, but I still have a positive feeling/memory about it. The French fries from Mc Donald (which I went for) are unsurpassed in my opinion and fortunately this is no different at this location. A small downside is perhaps that the location is a bit remote and is somewhat difficult to reach on foot or even by public transport, or in other words, I would never have been there without a car.

I clearly said big taste without bacon, the sticker also says so, but I still get it with bacon in it, can't they read it or something disgusting, I can't eat bacon, put it in the trash, waste of money, I'll find another maccie where people can read

I had to pay twice because the amount supposedly did not come through. If the amount is not automatically refunded within a week, I could just call. I have called them 4 times and no one answers.

A simple hamburger, meat smells a bit weird but not "bad" or good, looks normal, 2 hours later at home, food poisoning. Ty.

I rarely go to McDonald's. Just a quick bite I always say with a lot of waste. Noisy location both outside and inside. You can hardly avoid the fact that I and many others stuff ourselves with not the best food. Tomorrow I'll eat healthy again.

Was disappointing! The food was only brought after more than an hour, the order was not complete and the food was cold. Many customers had to wait a long time (also for the mc drive with a traffic jam until the exit of the A9) and there were complaints. It was visibly chaos in the kitchen and behind the counter. Unfortunately, the manager and staff were not approachable to solve the problems.

Mice are cute, but not in the mcdonalds. Might be an idea to clean your restaurant.
